Lively, bustling cafe that is a hallmark of the Lal Darwaja neighborhood. The chai is phenomenal, the coffee was a bit too sweet, and the muskaban was a lovely accompaniment to the chai. Will have to try the Nutella variety next time!
Owner is a lovely Irani immigrant to Ahmedabad, and can be seen socializing with guests. Would definitely recommend!
I do not find food that tasty. The atmosphere was quite good, old nostalgic non veg restaurant feeling.
No upi payment is available. The ambience is great. It's near meat shops so a little smell would come sometimes. The butter bread is a must try with their strong tea. The rates are reasonable.
They offered the most delicious bread and butter, samosas and other Indian snacks, Parsi cuisine, Iranian-style tea, and cookies and other baked non veg dishes.
I tried maskabun and tea. If you are a vegetarian person then this place is not good for you.
This cafe has a great history
In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when the second wave of Zoroastrians emigrated from Iran (Iranis) to India, they opened small eateries called Irani cafés.
They are, however, rapidly disappearing. In the 1950s, there were 350 Irani cafés in Mumbai; only some 25 remain. There is only one Irani café in Ahmedabad at Bhadra.
I had Irani chai, Maska bun, kheema mutton, mutton korma. Ambience is good however lights were very dim. Overall good service and enjoyed food. Prices are also very economic.
Nice place with tasty food. A Maska bun is a must try.
I visit it in morning in this time its quite busy and crowded.
I ordered a irani tea and egg khima and egg bhurji every single dish is very delicious specially kheema .
Service is average and staff are so polite and knowledgeable.
Tnere is no parking space for car and bike you can adjust wheelchair you can access available.
Vegetarian dishes are also there ao your vegetarian friends and family can dine with you.
It's was a just amazing experience for a first time and the great management by owner in crowd place.and must try a famous maskabun and tea.
Their maska that is butter is out of the world must eat maskabun
We also tried bhuna which was quite satisfying
At the end its quite amazing to have this delicious food at this price point
Fantastic tastiest authentic irani Moghal restaurant. Must visit restaurant in Ahmedabad. Had a mutton korma, butter roti, fish fry. Everything was fantastic. Particularly authentic.
Ambience will be that of a Iranian restaurant type. Highly recommended.
