Visited this place after a long time and to its marks even after nearly 20-25 years of service. Talking abaout the staff were humble and smiling. Got a table after few mins of waiting. Ordered cream of tomato and cheese corn tomoto as wanted to re memorize the old days when there were not more options for soups. Was on a bit sweeter taste but that enhanced the soup (4/5)
Baked spagetti with pinapple must say they use better quality of cheese very few places give marked level of cheese taste in spageti or macroni (5/5) order panner and cheese sabji both were nice but here again cheese butter masala(4/5) overtooked the paneer sabji (3/5) must try was brown paratha and brown roti... Superb crisp and taste (5/5) having routine naan and kulcha these were very good. Not to the mark was masala chaas(2/5) which was disappointment as it was very sour in taste but overall was accompaning to the food. Also forgot to mention about papad. Masala papad and fried. Masala paper was of without salt.
Overall
Staff- 4/5
Taste- 4.5/5
Money- 4/5
Must try was brown paratha and roti and macroni.

Food for me, personally, is an engagement with flavours, textures, and scents. When it comes to food nostalgia, RASNA can’t be ignored. Enjoyed today's lunch @Rasna restaurant, maninagar with friends. A punjabi cuisine restaurant since 30 plus years in ahmedabad town flaunting food traditions and leave indelible marks on our sub-conscious, which for many years may lay dormant – but will eventually resurface. My favourite food memories involves Nargisi kofta with hariyali Naan, Hara bhara Kabab, chole puris, paneer butter masala and veg biriyani.

This time we enjoyed:
To begin any lunch or dinner, i love to begin with the basic delicacy on my table i.e. Masala papad. In starter we had Harabhara kabab. In main course we had haldi adrak ki sabzi: A wintery sabzi made with fresh raw turmeric cooked in ghee for long hours,. This sabzi is signature dish of their winter menu, Nargisi kofta with Hariyali Nan, Papad churi as side dish and ended our meal with Gajjar ka halwa.

Since childhood I have visited this place several times. My dad is born and brought up in maninagar area of Ahmedabad. By the year 1986 we shifted to Vadodara. I have lot many memories with Rasana 1; when ever I visit our grandparents home in ahmedabad during diwali and summer vacation's we use to come for punjabi food at Rasana.

Rasana begins it's journey in the year 1988. It was nice talking with #Rajmohan ji who narrated briefly having lot many tales about journey of Rasana 1&2 and how they become pioneers. Talking more with him he narrated:
▪️They were thr first who started food festivals in ahmedabad,
▪️They were first who curated South Indian breakfast in maninagar,
▪️They were first who love doing gathering's of author's and writers and arrange live musical in restaurant,
▪️Also they were first who bought a concept of Santa Clause who stands outside a restaurant during christmas festival.

We had lot many talks and shared all my childhood memories with Rasana 1 as well as we enjoyed our lunch with Tanmay Sheth and his wife along with Rajmohan Modi ji and his sweet daughter.

I find Rasana a good place for dining out with family/friends. Today i revisited it after 2 long years with lots of expectations and I am happy to say Rasana still lives up to the same taste and standard of food quality. The aura of this restaurant is very soothing.

#WhatMakesMefeel_RASNA_Awesome?

Bringing back nostalgic flavours from the Eastern part of Ahmedabad, Rasana is the place to be for all the vegetarian punjabi food connoisseurs. This restaurant carries pretty consistent reputation in maninagar area of Ahmedabad since years (Almost 32 years). An unsurpassed take on classic North Indian cuisine – Rasna is one of Ahmedabad's favourite culinary destinations. The kitchen is helmed by their talented Chefs.

The menu consists of various classic, mouth-watering dishes, giving the patrons the true taste of North India. The menu influences dishes from Saurashtra, South Indian, North indian as well as Rajasthani, giving you traditional recipes on your plate. Owner of the restaurant, Mr. Rajmohan modi ji specially takes good care of all customers. Also dishes of menu are inspired by season’s freshest produce, giving the guests unparalleled dining experience. They have another branch in same area having huge dinning space with all parking facilities. Next visit of Rasna 2 is in pending list.

Overall we enjoyed food, good company, lovely hospitality, soothing atmosphere and many more.

I paid for it. Total cost 1244/- for 3 people.

Thank-you

This restaurant was my childhood favourite among veg restaurants they used to serve the best Punjabi cuisine in Ahmedabad the gravy dishes with hot Indian breads like Nans and kulcha were to die for, revisited this restaurant after 10 years with lots of expectations and I am very happy to say that it still lives up to the same taste and standard in food, the food still taste good as used to 10 years back this time we ordered Veg Makhan wala and a Paneer gravy with some variety of Nans they were just yummy the Hariyali Nan was to die for never had this kind anywhere kasoori methi on top was giving it a nice flavour. Last but not the least order there Veg Briyani always remembered it had a smokey flavour to it and when had a spoon full of it my day was made it was too good. Talked to the owner and the waiter there they told they have opened more branches of the same restaurant with much bigger sitting arrangements and banquet hall, was very happy to hear that. Good food and good service till now after so many years have made them grow for sure. I am happy to see that the quality and service is still maintained after so many years of their being in business. Keep up the great work hope to visit again soon.

If you are staying at Mani Nagar then probably it's the best option to eat at every thing is at par in terms of quality, however I found the dishes a little over-priced.

Everything was fantastic but the quantity of Jeera rice was not enough for a adult. But the quality of food , service & atmosphere was awesome. I would love to visit in next few days as I'm here for next 6 days. Please look at the quantity.

I have been eating here since I was a kid and with no doubt the taste remains the same. All these years passed but the quality is still the same which is the best thing about this restaurant. I would love to visit this place again & again. Only thing is they have excluded some food items in their menu like all south indian dishes, I personally liked them alot, even the cutlets were not this time which my parents used to eat long back before. Hope they bring back the old menu.

Restaurant of interest. Rasna Restaurant, this restaurant has been entertaining Ahmedabadites for the past 35 years by serving its Punjabi, South Indian, Italian, Mexican, etc. menu dishes in East Ahmedabad. This is a restaurant that has been popular for its Punjabi menu for years. And yes intact flavor is also retained. A well-known name in the food industry is Rajmohan Bhai Modi. Has been settled in Ahmedabad since years. Rajmohan Bhai's hospitality, associated with literature and taste, is as sweet as his hospitality. All the guests who come to Rasna’s restaurant leave with not only the taste but also the sweet welcome. I had a sweet potato dry bhaji, moraio, crispy yam chips, sweet curd, potato halwa with Rajgaro puri. I especially loved the combination of sweet curd with yam wafers. Such a wafer is not found anywhere in Ahmedabad. Definitely try it when you visit. This shira is made by grating potatoes, roasting them in hot pot ghee, adding spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, nutmeg etc., adding mava and sugar.
