Title: A Pleasant Experience at Swagat Restaurant in Ahmedabad Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Swagat Restaurant in Ahmedabad, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant is well-known for its authentic Indian cuisine, and I must say, it lived up to its reputation. Ambiance: The ambiance at Swagat Restaurant was warm and inviting. The interior had a traditional touch with elegant decor and comfortable seating arrangements. The lighting was just right, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere for dining. Service: The service provided by the staff was commendable. They greeted us with smiles and were attentive throughout our visit. The waiters were knowledgeable about the menu, and they were happy to offer recommendations based on our preferences. The food was served promptly, and our requests were handled efficiently. Food: The highlight of Swagat Restaurant is undoubtedly the food. The menu featured a wide range of Indian dishes from various regions, and each dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail. The flavors were authentic and the presentation was visually appealing. The portions were generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant feeling satisfied. I particularly enjoyed their butter chicken, dal makhani, and garlic naan, which were bursting with flavors. Price: In terms of pricing, Swagat Restaurant falls into the mid-range category. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality of the food and service justifies the prices. The portion sizes and taste make it worth the value for money. Improvements: Although my experience was overall positive, there were a few areas where Swagat Restaurant could improve. Firstly, the restaurant could enhance the seating arrangement to provide a bit more privacy between tables. Additionally, some dishes could have been spicier as per their traditional flavors, but that could be adjusted upon request. Conclusion: Swagat Restaurant in Ahmedabad offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic Indian cuisine, warm ambiance, and excellent service. It is an ideal place to explore the rich flavors of Indian food and enjoy a satisfying meal. With a few minor improvements, Swagat Restaurant could easily become a top choice for Indian food enthusiasts in the area.

You would find good food at reasonable price. The staff is polite. Only as the restaurant is old you might find it little old, as it requires renovation/upgradation.

I was requested to answer this question. Ashish has pretty much covered every aspect of it. Let me share my view: I did hotel management and worked as chef for 3 years in The Park chennai before I switched to IT Location is paramount. A small place near main bus stop or famous shopping plaza is far better than some where inside the street. Never go for lease go for rent with option of turning lease if things work out. 1 ) It looks like you don't have hands on experience in running a kitchen or restaurant. So first I would encourage you to work some where for free or salary. Atleast try part time it helps a lot. Nothing beats experience. First hand you will experience the pro's and con's with out spending a penny. 2) Contacts : yes reach out to people in ur locality from best chef to best meat supplier. Talk to them and ask lot of questions understand ur locality well and competitors. 3) Cook : Learn cooking can't stress enough. Trust me finding a skilled cook is far tougher now because of low pay and long hours. Almost everyone is switching to different industry. So before you have a good cook never start and also always have a back up. Important point : Always do background check about the cook. Professional skill as well as character is very important. 4) Recepie & Menu : Visit near by restaurant and search Google, talk to people and discuss with chef. Every restaurant has it's own special hence its ur Job has owner to bring all those famous recepie to ur restaurant. Tip : we had a restaurant in our locality who served excellent chicken gravy kurma (lot of coconut paste did the trick) … We personally met that chef after hours paid him and learnt the recepie and had him try in our kitchen also we tried it out in front of him. We were talking to him for six months before he agreed. 5) Never comprise on quality. Today Saravanabhavan is what it is because of food taste and quality. 6) Cash flow: please remember it takes anywhere between 2 to 6 months to set in so you need to have enough cash to run business and pay salary. 7) Restaurant is a good business but I hope you realise it's really tough, medium profit and high risk. But if it works ! Bingo ! Please take time and do not do things in a hurry. Be open minded and look at every option available before you start. Wishing you good luck and all success !!!
