Love this place since my childhood days , best place for birthday celebration those days, lovely restaurant & Awesome menu, One of the oldest restaurant in allahabad. They serve best food veg as well as non veg,

I recently visited Tandoor Restaurant, and despite its old-world charm and reputation for great food and service, I couldn't help but notice that the interior is in a dilapidated condition. While the dining experience was satisfactory, it is evident that the restaurant is in need of some much-needed renovation. Let's start with the positives. The food at Tandoor Restaurant is undoubtedly delicious and lives up to its long-standing reputation. The flavors of the dishes were authentic, and the variety on the menu catered to a range of tastes. From the tender and flavorful tandoori chicken to the rich and aromatic curries, the culinary experience was delightful, leaving our taste buds satisfied. The service, too, was commendable. The staff was attentive and accommodating, providing timely assistance without being overly intrusive. They were well-versed with the menu, and their recommendations were spot-on. Some of them are there since I've seen them back in 90s. However, the interior of the restaurant seemed to be stuck in time. The furniture appeared worn-out and lacked the comfort one would expect from an upclass restaurant. The decor felt dated, and the lighting was dim, which affected the overall ambiance negatively. A much-needed renovation is essential to restore the restaurant's elegant atmosphere and maintain its status as a top-notch dining destination. Despite the interior's condition, the quality of food and service has not deteriorated, which is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining its culinary standards. However, I believe that investing in a renovation would elevate the dining experience to new heights and attract a broader clientele.

I have visited here a lot of time with my friends. I'm impressed with the service and tasty food in affordable price. We ordered Fried Rice with Paneer Chilli, Spring roll, Cold Coffee and Ice Cream. All were good in taste. They served dessert or icecream in the end. On showing the student id card 20% percent of discount is provided.

Loved the food, delicious starters Paneer Tikka is better than Delhi, Dal and rotis were fantastic. Thank you to the team.

Probably one of the best restaurant in Civil lines( Allahabad). Food is good with decent pricing. It has two flors. If you are student of Agriculture college (SHUATS) you will get discount by showing your identity card and on your birthday, mentioned on id card, you with get complimentary dishes and may be discount. Overall cool restaurant.Cool place for couple as well as family.

Old restaurant with great taste! Good in many dishes. Specially the staff. They are since the starting of restaurant. They served quite well food. Their speciality is Chilly chicken, kadhai paneer and mutton rogan josh! They serve good soups. Recently they started a new outlet which serves roll icecream! They prepare infont of you which makes your mouth watery.. they serves family on first floor and ground floor is for small families or singles or couples..One must visit this place to have their butter naan.. per person it will cost you around 250 to have a mouth full meal! They takes quite long to serve food.. sometimes you have to wait a bit longer.. No complimentary juices or drink..

1st time when i order biryani i love the taste...but in second time same order egg is missing ...kuch basi (stale) tastemila...3rd time i ordered chicken cury.. according to price..tase is satisfactory..4th time when i ordered roagan josh the restraunt served me with gravy same in chicken cury ..salt is low .less coocked..and tastes very bad..maine sara gali ke kutton ko serve kar dia

It's a lovely place for both family and friends times, the food is awesome and the staff is very polite.

I have been a regular customer to this place and its been almost ten years now and they are still as kind as I found them on my first day there. The food, the ambience, the staff everything is now familiar to me. Recently the manager got to know about us as we wrote the reviews on given receipt when it was my fiance's birthday and he called us to personally thank us as we had been a regular customer from years.. I must say that this place has everything and I love going there as the food is always light, tasty and sufficient in quantity. If you want a place to chill and talk or ho with family, friends or your lover this one is a perfect place.

Too roasted and I have ordered 2plates of butter naan but they gave me only one plate which contains 2butternaan. Curry is not included. In andhra pradesh they can give butter naan with curry or soup. So I doesn't made a call to the restaurant thinking they will give curry. North indians are illiterate as they don't know in butter naan a curry should be provided with that. Hum log kaise khaayenge butter naan Akela. Please solve my issue

Response from the waiters were very slow and if too much food is ordered then the quality of food starts to fall... some dishes like chhole bhature were nice though.

Nice restaurant for lower and upper middle class people corporative staff but the place isn't that clean as you expect it.

Very nice place with a lot on the menu that you'll love and will come back for ordering again. The chicken lababdar is a real delicacy. Do try it. The mutton seekh kebab is superb.

I had ordered 2 chicken curry, and kadai paneer. Both Item was upto mark. However, my experience with Zamato service was quite bad. They have delivered me only 1 chicken curry packet. Which I had thought that it contains both, but there were only 4 pieces. I called restaurant and totally accepted that and said that rider forgotten to take other. Zamato however was very uncooperative and told me that it was restaurant mistake. I am one of tandoor's oldest customer. Their service are always great. I couldn't believe zamato at all. They later said that I can order again and ask restaurant to deliver the previous order myself, which in my opinion is not appropriate, and very unprofessional. I am thinking to totally switch back to swiggy.

Tandoor has been a favorite since childhood. Their butter chicken and sweet corn chicken soup is something I relish even till now.<br/><br/>Recently I ordered their Paneer Pasanda and black daal. The paneer had a very decent quantity and it was delectable. Also, the daal was delicious.

Well I like their chicken chowmein is one of the best in the town today I ordered tandoori chicken it's good in taste quantity and price is also good. And ordered mutton kali mirch and butter naan I didn't like mutton kali mirch at all taste wise quantity is good price is ok but taste matters more and about butter naan it's great soft with butter

One of the oldest restaurant in allahabad.... They serve best food.... have Simple noisy environment just bcz so many people come their on daily basis ... Prices are nominal for food...<br/>Tried so many things here bt this time when I tried their chola bhatura...chola was good bt less spicy and bhatura was not warm....<br/>But the best thing after 3 pm on chola bhatura & dosa... You can get offer of buy one and get one free...<br/>They also give 10% discount on student id

Best Chinese and South Indian food in town been eating here since childhood. However the interior of this place isn't maintained and the overall restaurant should be renovated, but taste wise this place is top class.. Please try the Mix Chicken Chowmein and the South Indian Basket

ordered Kadhai Chicken....received the order on time but i didn't liked the taste. It was like boiled chicken mixed with kaddu ki gravy...taste was really very bad.

This place is large but ,I can see rats under the table that somehow tell me how the food is prepared inside ,as no from now on and they offer 2x evening time means this is is the way they want us to eat the food that is abt to get destroyed/rotten.

Ordered a chicken curry from here the other day. After discount of 40% I got it for Rs. 140. Delivery was quick. I received 4 small chicken pieces. Quantity was decent for the amount. And taste was fine too. Definitely ordering again.

This place is awesome and friendly you can eat without hesitation....Combos are really very good when you are inside the restaurant. And for home delivery one can order mutton rogan josh or butter chicken and naan. Veg is also very good with variety ...Over all the restaurant is very economical.

Eating from last thirty years in Tandoor Food is very Delicious Specially South Indian foods but Restaurant ambious is not good now as same nothing change from past twenty years need to improve.I only preffer Home delivery.

Food is good. Service is nice but sometimes too delayed! Being veggie I liked their main course. Mushroom dish was tasty. Paneer dish was yummy.

I'm sorry to say this but tandoor has lost its charm. This was my favourite restaurant growing up, now it has changed(not evolved) but changed.<br/>Although the chowmein that I ordered was an absolute delight, but the Paneer Tikka's were 6 pieces for ₹190. If you even exclude the price, the taste was not upto the old Tandoor's standard.

Kadhai Chicken was not good.

Delivery was on time but the difference is that they send me the most of the chicken pices were burnt and they have coverd using a gravy..plz don't do this as ur restaurant has name and fame

Go to this restaurant for indian non vegetarian food only. do not try pizza and other chinese foods here. Special dish from this restaurant is mutton keema curry and kulche I am fan of keema curry and kulcha of this restaurant

Today i went here and 1 think I can appreciate is that food pricing is bit low as compared to other eateries in civil lines but after eating food I realised why the pricing was low... The place is like a second home to me. Been there so many times that I cannot recall. The environment feels like an ancient one. The quality of food is nice. They have some really cool combos every week. Kathi rolls are just perfect there. The lightening is bit of a problem as the pictures do not come up to be so attractive , other than that this place is worth going for. The food is just simple and nice with a steal for money.

I was disappointed by the service that I was offered at this place . The restaurant kitchen closes at 1530 but we were not given this information before and thus could not order food accordingly. The service guys were not very keen they were just okay. But the food was not great either they just warmed the pre cooked food . But to my utter disappointment what I saw later while eating was rude and shocking. I am sharing the picture with you guys . The hotel staff did not care when they were told. I shall never visit this place again.

This place feels you as you are in a restaurant based on the theme of 80’s bollywood movies. The waiters, the ambience and the hospitality all resembling the same but the food they served was good and very light on pocket

It’s good to carry the legacy forward. But carrying on with the same ambience and even the upholstery is not at all advised. You were good when we were kids specially with your combo offers. But now ! No visits atleast from my end. You should surely get some renovations atleast. You have such a good repo amongst the localities. Don’t lose it.

This is the worst restaurant in Allahabad. Pls don't go. I ordered Butter chicken but the chicken was so much fried and tight. The taste was so bad. My bill was 337 rs and I gave 500rs to the waiter but he returned me only 150. He take his tip without my order. So pls Don't go in tandoor...

Worst experience ever no manners been showed by staff to serve ladies . Soup needs 15 min. to serve and more over menu was a mess you need time to understand what actually they serve no separate column for veg. A big dissappointmet for tandoor will never ever take any of my family member to spoil my reputation .

This place has lost his charm now. Not maintained at all, chairs and sofas looks like of ages. Coming to food ordered mutton rogan josh and paneer handi , the chef clearly has no clue how to make both the dishes, rogan josh gravy was sour in taste, service was also very very slow. Asked for mouth freshner reply "Hoga to denge wrna nahi".. Suggest not to visit if you want to have good food with family.

Have been visiting this place since I was a kid and to this day, dining here has always been a delight. It is indeed both amazing and commendable how it managed to maintain its gravity with so much change happening around it. Vegetable Malai kofta, Baked paneer, Chicken Kasturi, Mutton handiwala, Fish fingers, Tandoori paratha are few of my favourites and are highly recommended.<br/>Waiting for your order can be concern for some as they usually take ample time to bring your food, but the wait is worth.<br/><br/>PS : Tandoori items are served only after 7PM so minus 1 star there.

The food is alright but the staff service is not satisfactory. The waiters are not good at service. One of them Afsar Ahmed kept food at the side of the table and not very keen to serve.

I visited this place after a very long time and believe me when i say it that the taste of the food provided here is still awesome and fresh as it used to be years ago.They still serve food of great quality.The only con about this place is that they serve tandoori items after 07:00PM which i did not like personally.But overall the food was delicious and especially tandoori chicken, it was too good to have it.

the dum chicken was simply delicious.chicken was perfectly cook and very tender.the ambience and staff was good .all in all its one of the cool place to eat.the restaurant offered 10 percent discount when payment was done by debit card.they also give 20 percent discount to students.

Went there with a friend who almost forced me to. She used to love malai kofta of Tandoor and trust me it wasn't that bad. The best part was that it was not sweet. Though the service is below average and the place is too conjusted.
