Proper amritsari taste we can only have in amritsar. Though the place is quiet congetsed but there way of mgt is great. You can see one of the pics I've added the rush saying it all about the food and taste. The shop is in opposite of gurudwara sahib.

I was on a food crawl near Golden Temple, Amritsar. I have heard a lot from the city people about Kulwant kulcha so I with my friends gave it a try. The kulcha was tasty on the whole but less crispy . The filling inside the kulcha was very yum and the chole alongwith chutney everything was just perfect. We ordered Aaloo kulchas and the butter was overloaded on it that really adds to the beauty of the kulcha.
This iconic shop is split in 2. One counter on the main road leading to the Golden Temple and one bigger outlet in the bylane. The counter has just 1 table and serves more as a take away spot whereas the outlet in the bylane is much bigger with more seating space. Both the outlets serve hot, crispy, generously filled Kulchas with a spicy chole in gravy and are topped with a bit of yellow butter.
I strongly recommend having the lassi along with the kulchas. It is thick and sweet and topped with grainy malai.
An authentic breakfast experience.
Quite Simply - The Best Kulcha I have ever tasted! Humble ambience, be prepared to be asked to share your table with others, but the restaurant absolutely shines when it comes to the real deal - Serving delightful Amritsari Kulchas.
Served with the usual accompaniments - Chole and Aachar, The Kulchas are astoundingly light and flaky despite the generous stuffing of aloo/gobi/ Paneer , leading to a textural explosion in your mouth. And Yes, of course, what else can make a Kulcha even better but a generous slab of butter?! :)
Non nonsense shop selling amritsari kulcha, very near to golden temple, has different types of kulcha available - aloo, paneer, pithi, gobhi, 4 mix kulcha but best out of the lot is aloo kulcha which was crispy and cholle very good but little bit spicy, served along with onion chutney and butter. Can visit this place if you go to Golden Temple. Service is Quick!
The food is really great and value for money... the kulcha is crispy with loads of butter. Chole are perfectly cooked spiced. Chole have a thick gravy unlike other places. Goes well with tea
Every time I come here I have Kulchas and it tastes same everytime. Awesome. Best thing is it's at walking distance from Darbar Sahib.
These are THE best kulchas that you will find in Amritsar. The place is in thr main market near Golden Temple/Shri Harmandir Sahib. They serve kulchas only during morning, so don't forget to reach there before 10:30. A lot of locals also take their breakfast at this place, and the place is real small, so be prepared for atleast 15-20min wait time on weekends. Weekdays are generally less crowded and you could easily get a place to sit on a table out of the 3 tables placed there. I ordered 3 kulchas - aaloo, gobhi and peethi. All three were equally amazing and costed just Rs 170/-. Their chutney is to die for. The place is a little crowded all the time, so customers often forget to tip the 2 workers. Make sure that you do :)
Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulcha wale is one of the oldest food places in all of amritsar. Situated near the Ghantaghar of Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) Amritsar. They have been selling Kulchas for generations now and they Maintain quality and consistency. Their place is quite crowded in morning hours especially from 9-1 but even then they try to serve at an incredible pace. It's a must place for food lovers and bloggers.
Kulcha is amazing here! We tried Aloo, paneer and gobi. The gobi was hands down the best one 😀 it was super soft and yummy! 🤤 it’s a small stall not good ambience but a perfect spot for excellent street food Kulchas. Would definitely recommend it 👍
Great taste. A must go for all kulcha lovers if in Amritsar. The only thing which i would like to highlight is the use of coriander seeds. I felt its over used in kulcha, but then again it depends upon person to person. Overall the taste is very good and waiters are very respectful and quick in service.
Kulcha was good crispy on the outside soft on the inside service was really quick the taste was also good one should try this place for kulcha if they are to try best kulchas in amritsar I think they also have a small shop on the heritage stree near Shani mandir outside golden temple too . Price was also so affordable one plate aaloo kulcha with chana costed me for rupees 60 only
Amazing kulchas . Crisp and even crust . Soft filling inside . Sure you can’t get these anywhere else in any other city . The chutney is delicious with onions and carrots.
Only issue you don’t get a proper sitting but it’s Fine .
Bhai Kulwant Singh is quite a famous shop in Amritsar for their Kulchas. The original one is quite bigger but situated in a lane inside which confused me and I visited the one situated in main square just outside the Golden Temple. But nonetheless I really liked the Kulchas here. Especially the onion salad chutney and chhole made the overall dish.
Cost - 100 bucks for Paneer Kulcha
All the kulchas are good but paneer kulcha is the best, hands down. Very generously stuffed. Soft. With a big chunk of butter on top. All kulchas are severed with Chole and Chutney, personal favourite is Alva chutney but it is seasonal (you’ll get it in winters only). Seating area is not that good but it’s fine for a small restaurant. A MUST TRY.
Their kulcha and phirni are the best in town. Must try this place for traditional amritsari cusine.
One of the places in Amritsar which is very underrated. One of the best places to go for breakfast and lunch . This place serves chole kulcha and believe me they are one of the best I tried in Amritsar . We tried their paneer kulcha and allo kulcha and both were really good especially the aloo oone . The chole was very tasty and delicious . The cherry on the cake was their chutney which I really liked very much. The only thing to remember is they accept only cash so carry cash and don't rely on any online mode of payment. Also this place is closed in the evenings to visit here in the morning afternoon itself. Also do their lassi which was very heavy and and tasteful
This was a nice place after searching so many kulchas this was in a good location and also famous. The mix kulcha was better than the aloo kulcha. Also get the lassi along with it.
