Review Sanjha Chulha - Amritsar

#amritsardiaries My top choice for Amritsari Kulcha remains Monu Kulcha Hut but that's situated almost at outskirts of city and is extremely crowded. Besides seating isn't that upmarket for family visits.... so my second best choice as always remains Sanjha Chulha Amritsar situated at the most happening Lawrance Road area. It has air-conditioned seating with reasonably acceptable hygiene and overall good package with excellent fast service. We ordered our usual favourite Aaloo Pyaaz Kulcha and additionally ordered Mix Kulcha. Both are flawlessly perfect with flaky and crisp texture. Filling is adequate and flavourful. Channa are mild and well cooked without any excessive addition of Soda Bicarbonate. Chatani is well balanced without being over spicy. It's a great kulcha overall and is highly recommended. We also got few Kulcha packed for Delhi and kept enjoying them for next few days by reheating them. Not as good as the freshly served ones but still better than all other options available in Delhi NCR. The last 3 pictures are of reheated kulchas clicked back home at Delhi. Tips to follow if you plan to get Amritsari Kulcha packed.... ▪︎Ask vendor not to apply butter on top ▪︎Cool kulcha and channa in open condition to reach room temperature before sealed packing them ▪︎Avoid packing Chatani for being liquidy... it tends to leak and gets spoiled very quickly ▪︎Store kulcha and chana in refrigerator (Not freezer) ▪︎Reheating tip... heat each kulcha for 20 seconds each side in microwave followed by roasting on each side over low gas flame. ▪︎Apply butter on top after completion of reheating ▪︎Heat channa in microwave Bon Appétit

Overall experience was satisfactory. The food was delicious but ambience could have been better. The table should have been cleaned properly. Paneer Bhurji and bread were really good.

Lawrence Road While entering this place the instant smell of kulcha's were Welcoming .I Like traditional Shahi Paneer & Chilly Cheeze here. Both d dishes over exceeded the expectations. The food was extremely delicious. This place has seems like a homely feel .The staff r courteous too nd d service is fast.

The food was decent, not out of this world though (Compared to Amritsar standards). They can really do better at serving customers though. A little politeness and professionalism can go a long way.

The best in town, Amritsari kulchas are available at this place, which are great and will be cherished and liked by everyone. Served hot with unlimited quantity of cholas and butter to top-up they are simply awesome. Although the place is a bit run down in terms of cleanliness but the delicious food makes up for everything.

Service is very slow. Potato onion, Garlic etc. Amritsari Kulcha is available here. It's very tasty if you don't care about calories...

Few days ago I ordered Dal makhni,Shahi paneer and butter nan. Dal makhni was very creamy and shahi paneer was very delicious and covered with lots of dry fruit. Overall a good place for having delicious food.

Visisted twice for dinner and the thali was great in both quality and quantity. All the dishes were great except the raita. The lassi was also quite thick and filling. The next time we went for kulcha, and it turned out to be the wrong decision😂😂

Ordered via Zomato. The order was delayed due to the restaurant and the food received was burnt.<br/><br/>Lassi was the only saving grace in the order.

This place is serving the traditional food of city in best way. this is two floored property and having may options of Kulcha we tried Paneer Kulcha, Onion Kulcha, aloo kulcha, Paneer kulcha is my favorite with gravy and except this there is long menu list you can try and everything we ordered it came hot steaming like freshly prepared... loved the experience

Sanjha Chula is quite a famous restaurant in amritsar.They have a huge sitting area on both ground floor and 1st floor. I went there with my friends and ordered different types of kulchas such as stuffed kulcha with gravy, onion kulcha, paneer kulcha and aloo kulcha.<br/>The kulchas were very crispy from outside and filling was properly filled inside the kulchas.Totally loved the kulchas I had there.😋<br/>.<br/>The prices was also very pocket friendly and tasted absolutely delicious.<br/>.<br/>My favourite was "Stuffed Kulcha with gravy combo".Do try it whenever you visit there.👍🤗

This is a place that we chanced upon by randomly stopping the car and asking a citizen for directions and recommendations, and being the Gentleman that Mr. Aman Khurana was, he gave us some fantastic advice. This is a place which is slightly on the inside and not on the main road so you are likely to miss it if you are not looking for it, yet it's one of the oldest dhaba/restaurant/eatery around.<br/>The Kulchas are red/brown fried to perfect crispness and garnishes with a dollop of butter paired with chhole that comes along and mouth-watering chutney.<br/>The Kulchas come in a variety but the best ones are Aloo/Aloo-pyaaz, though<br/>Paneer is worth a try although not exceptional.<br/>Didn't try the lassi since we were advised to do that either at Munim or Kanha which was also great advice but from what we heard the Lassi is pretty decent too, if you can manage it after stuffing yourself with the delicious stuffed Kulchas.

I ordered Amritsari Kulcha thali for delivery. The kulchas served was perfectly done with sumptuous stuffing and it was really crispy<br/><br/>The texture and taste of Chole was really amazing . It is served with chutney and Pyaaz which completes the meal.<br/><br/>The only point they lost is for packaging, can be little more better, rest everything was good.

I ordered from Sanjha chulha, and I didn’t receive rotis in my order.I called the owner he straight away refused about rotis, and told me talk to delivery guy regarding rotis. Delivery guy also refused and started blame game on each other. Then I raised a complaint with zomato.<br/>I had to order and paid delivery charges again for my order for the same rotis which they never sent. Zomato charged me twice for the delivery of same order.

The amritsari kulchas served here are average and costly as compared to other options available nearby.But this place provides an airconditioned hall to dine in which is not available at it's competitors. The hygenine of kitchen as well the the serving people has alot of scope, this doesn't give a good impresion on people visiting.

I personally love this place from my childhood..love there kulcha and the perfect spice content they have..I have tried kulcha from like Soo many places but nothing replaced them for me..

I would rate zero for this order as the the paratha was cool enough to eat and the contents was less as to the previous order with little mention of paneer. If i would had complained i would had got better service. But this time i recommend friends to stop using zomato.

This place serves amazing kulchas! The ambience is not that great and the place particularly is not too clean. The kulchas are just brilliant served with a cube of butter. Soft and crunchy kulchas are a must try.

I had aloo kulchas from this place. They were not as good as I expected. The kulchas were thick n quite filling. Chole served with it was also not up to the mark.

We opted for special thali of RS 270. It had paneer dish, dal makhani, chana, rice, raita, sweet dish and papad. Lassi was ordered separately.<br/><br/>Thali came with laccha Parantha/naan. Parantha and naan were full of pure Desi ghee. So were all the gravy items. Enough for two persons.<br/><br/>Lassi was creamy. Gulab jamun served hot.<br/><br/>Great authentic punjabi taste.

I ordered south indian platter .all dishes in platter are so tasty and well prepared.only thing which I didn't like is idli .idli is so much thick and that's why it is not cooked properly. So please take care of idli . Otherwise great platter

Today My Experience was very bad because my food was deliverd too late as it became cold and it was difficult to eat. Zomato Valet delivers wrong orders firstly & when he comes back with My order it was very late.

This is 'THE PLACE' to have Amritsari Kulchas. Very crispy and awesome spices. The best kulchas I have ever had. Service takes some time but that is because they make it fresh when ordered and cook it on sim gas. Please open a branch in Delhi as well!! :D<br/> <br/>The place deserves more than just 5 stars.
