I completed my advanced PADI here, and the team was amazing. They were also very patient and informative with their learning process for other Discover Scuba divers. Scuba Diving is pretty technical and there are many shops there that offer “discover scuba” but only a few that stands out with their proper in person teaching and boat dive, Barefoot being one of them. recommend Barefoot if you want to get your certifications done or just want to try your Discover dives.

This place is great for having a nice and relaxed bungalow and to go diving. They have direct acces to the beach, a nice breakfast and very friendly staff! Diving is super organised, I felt really safe all the time. Thanks a lot.

I did my Open Water Diver certification at Barefoot Scuba in Nov 2022, and I'm so glad I chose this dive centre. Everything from beginning to end was a pleasant experience. I availed the accomodation here as well (sea view room with external toilet). I nicely asked for a discount on the room and they gave me a good price (Around 4500 per night). The booking experience was pretty pleasant as they respond to mails within a day. I had several questions about the course and called up Animish several times, and he very patiently answered all of them. Course Experience: I did my open water course in 3 days, with day 1 with Amit and days 2 & 3 with Anto. Amit is an excellent and thorough trainer with clear communication skills in Hindi and English. On the second day there was a change in instructor to Anto. Initially we had a little hiccup, probably due to change in teaching style but we were smooth sailing again by the end of the day. I am pretty impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism during the entire course. There were always support staff present with emergency equipment during our shore dives. Also Anto made sure all possible safety equipment (oxygen, stretcher, etc) as well as some snacks (bananas and water) were present in the boat during boat dives and gave a safety briefing before we started. Packed lunch was provided (rice + 1 curry) on days 2 and 3. Equipment: All the equipment was very well maintained. They have a valiety of sizes and makes, so you get to try and check which one fits you the best. They also let you assemble and disassemble/clean the gear yourself so that we get used to the habit of taking care of the gear. There was no fungus/ mould in any of the equipment. Accomodation: The accomodation provided is no-frills, but is clean and comfortable. Room was cleaned twice in a day and a helped came to setup mosquito net at night. Bathroom is outside below the room, but was clean. There is a nice balcony overlooking the beach. Food : Food options were limited. I found the breakfast menu good enough for a quick meal before morning classes, but for lunch/dinner the menu was limited. But it's not a big problem as there are several good restaurants nearby. Location: I found the location excellent as it has several good restaurants at walking distance and is 10 minutes drive from the jetty. Overall: I had an amazing 3 day stay + course experience with Barefoot Scuba. Kudos to everyone (especially Amit and Anto) for doing a great job and I hope to see same level of professionalism when I visit next time.

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Barefoot Scuba on havelock island. When we arrived to their beautiful location we just had to cancel our current accommodation and move right in! The staff were very professional and helpful. When arriving our plan was only to take one fun dive but after talking to their great instructors we ended up taking both Open water and Advanced open water diving courses! It was truly amazing and I’d recommend it to everyone going to Havelock island. A big thank you to Kingston, our very competent and professional scuba instructor 🙏🏼
