Review Rafael's - Benaulim

Beautiful place to chill and relax while enjoying the view of the beautiful sea. Food is decent. Watercolour juice and peri peri french fries were amazing. Pork amsol was just decent. I won’t try that again here as I have had much better pork amsol in other places. The meat was hard and the taste of amsol was not there. Pork sausage pulao was good. Veg penne arabiata pasta was very disappointing for the price charged. Ambiance and decor was very romantic. The candles on eache table definitely added an aura.

Great spot for a beer and food overlooking the beach. The Kingpin curry & honey and chilli potatoes are outstanding. Visited many times while here

Rafael's shack is go to place located in Benaulim Beach, staffs are friendly food is very nice 👌 had been multiple times to this shack we had wonderful time.

Nice place to chill out at south goa, benaulim, with good vibes, good food, good choice of cocktails n drinks, ideal place to chill out before leaving goa.

Very nice service with wider view and near to sea . Food is good with most items on menu maintained . Service is done with smile all the time. Best place to spend time with awesome sea view. Prices are little high compared to other neighbour shacks.

It's a decent place compared to other shacks on benaulim beach. It's close to the parking yet away from the crowd. The food is good enough to enjoy when hanging out with a group of friends. They serve hukka which is a novelty. Their waiter are friendly and quick.

On the beach but just off the entrance. Very tasty and not very expensive. Service was par excellence. The play list was a series of great songs one after the other. Great experience overall!

A picturesque spot to unwind and soak in the serene ocean view. The cuisine is satisfactory, with standout items like Crispy Chicken Wings. However, the Chicken Masala didn't quite meet expectations, but the Naans were crisp and delicious. The ambiance boasts a romantic charm, enhanced by the enchanting decor and the cozy ambiance created by candles on each table, but our table didn't have a candle.😀

Nice peaceful place on sea side for spending your evening and night.Not too crowded like nearly restaurants. Staff is friendly . Rava fried prawns were bit oily. Noodles were good . They also serve hookah . Overall good place to spend time with friends and dear once.

Located left side of public parking for benaulim beach. Newely renovated beach shack has well experienced staff in handling tourist speaking more extra languages, variety of seafood options available, recommended for both veg and non veg options, owner is a local and quite helpfull, try some mojitos with fish fingures with the best sea views

Great place with perfect ambious.sea view is very clear from restaurant. Good food and nice service even when restaurant is almost full.

Lovely spot on the beachfront to relax with the best view of the ocean and sunset and the calm waves. Food is pretty okay, we tried some Chinese food. Come here for the views and good service.

A peaceful shack on benaulim beach .<br/><br/>The service is good.<br/>Ambience is okay. The indoors is good enough but they have to do a bit on outdoor seating on the beach area.<br/><br/>The food quality/ quantity is good. Tried cheese garlic naan, batter garlic calamari, chicken tikka and garlic chicken ..liked the garlic chicken.<br/><br/>Would recommend the restaurant for indoor seating.

The food is good... The ambience gets a full 10/10... Especially in the evening... The servers are also very polite and are active through out the restaurant... We ordered a sea food platter which comprised of 3 kinds of sea fish fried in various sauces ( pomfret and the kind), a tandoori prawn, squid and a side of French fries. The dish was 1350, which may be a tad bit pricy but considering the portion is was ok with.. however I ges hygeine is a source of concern as there were two dogs and three cats roaming around the restaurant. However, I would suggest visit this place in the evening for enjoying the ambience with a couple of beers.

Located right on the Benaulim beach, this place provides a nice ambience with a both inside as well as outside seating. Would not recommend the outside one during monsoons as rains may surprise you anytime.<br/>Sea view+world cup screening makes up for it.<br/>We ordered lots of beer and seafood platter. Food service is little slow but tastes good.

Couple of years ago, I would have rated this place 5 stars but this time I cannot go beyond 1. We ordered chicken chilly and the waiter even after confirming to him brought some Goan chicken. We first confirmed whether they have Ceaser salad. Waiter assured they have it but brought something with pepper, onion, cucumber, no lattuce, no black olives, no cheese, no bread crumbs. We asked him about it he took it back and just added some mayonnaise and olive oil. While in the restaurant we went out for a smoke, when we came back and the chairs we were having were changed and given very dirty chairs. Other customers were given our chairs. When enquired we came to know that management is changed.

Good place for dinner , bang on the beach with peacefull dineout.. fast service and good food should 🎏 try fish & chiken both cusine , I have been here 2-3times food and quality has been consistent..👌

Even though I visited benaulim beach since childhood, I never happened to visit the left side of the beach. It was only the right side we would walk towards. Be it for food, party or just an evening by the beach. One day I just happened to look towards the left side of the beach and saw this board that said “Rafaels beach bar and bistro”. The place is bang on the beach and looked good from outside. I went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. To my surprise we were the only customers they were catering to then. Also the beach had a deserted look in the afternoon. We ordered drinks, chicken sizzler and deep fried chicken. The food quantity was filling. Service was quick. Food presentation was also good. The ambience is fine and has a beach view. However it was more of a quiet lunch by the beach.

Quaint beach front restaurant which offers seafood as a specialty. We tried their mussels rawa fried which really amazing! The masala tasted so well yet not overpowering and so we had around 4 orders of these. ☺️ we also tried their calamari rechado masala, and mackerel. And all are very tasty and real fresh! Service is also very polite and efficient.

It was very great our waiter suhas made My dinner amazing this was second visit to this place I love there tandoori chicken will come when I am in goa. 😊

Good place to sit and enjoy the weather but food tastes average and also went for a hookah which was not at all upto the mark. Just loved the sitting of this place

Gr8 service. The guys with supervision by Prabodh were awesome .. <br/>Must visit the place with family or if you are a group of guys is gr8 to visit. The hospitality they treat is as if you are their family members. Will like to visit this place again and again for their hospitality.

This place is located on benaulim beach. You get some awesome beach view from here .Food here is nice and no ambiance..bt staff and service is good. Below are my ratings on food. We ordered<br/>fried prawns 4/5<br/>Oysters in butter garlic 3.5/5<br/>Prawns croquettes 4.5/5 ( my favorite , thy mk it soo good)<br/>Chicken canopy 4.5/5 ( again my favorite, n thy make it good)<br/>So its relaxing place to be on sunday evenings.

Renovated and newly opened. 10/10 for the location. Complete ambience. The owner ofcourse is very freindly and cooperative. Tried squids chilly in startes and must say the flavour was mouth watering.<br/>Must try if your are a fish lover.😍<br/>Best place for family outing too..🤗#Rafaels

Quiet and quaint place. <br/>This is a very old but beautiful beach shack in Benaulim. We usually visit here to watch the sunset and the fishing boats going out into the sea and coming back. <br/>Food is not exceptional but good.<br/>Do not order Chinese. <br/>Goan delicacies are very well prepared.<br/>The Burritos was good and hence its possible that the other continental stuff would be triable. :)<br/>Try the Planter's Punch cocktail here.<br/>Must visit for a chilled out time.<br/>Its on the left hand corner of the beach parking.

The place is located at a relatively (by Goa standards) quiet place. The location deserves a 5 on 5 for sure.<br/><br/>We'd ordered chicken and veg. It was really good and totally worth its price. The service was a little slow but then when you're in Goa, its advised you spend the time at leisure.<br/><br/>The owner and his staff, look after you and thats the biggest plus point of this joint. Do drop by at least once when you're in South Goa.

Like always my rating is based on a scale of 1-5,5 being the best. <br/><br/>One Quite restaurant at - - - - - - Beach. If you are tired of Joncies and don't want to go there because of the arrogant waiters, you can choose to spend time here. <br/><br/>Ambience: 3, It's a very average restaurant which wont be very tempting for you to visit but if you do, you can definitely sit here and relax. <br/><br/>Food Quantity and Quality: 3, We had ordered Fish, Squids & Chicken out of which chicken was very average and fish and squids were good. You can also see some pics that I have posted along. Their Pomphret was really delicious <br/><br/>Pricing: 3,We ordered around 5 non veg dishes, a few drinks and we paid ₹2400/- which I felt was reasonable considering the fact that we had a good time sitting by the beach with no disturbance <br/><br/>Rest room:3 one small little neat and clean rest room. <br/><br/>Hygiene : 3<br/>Staff & Service :4, staff was very good and accommodating. I had my little daughter with me and I needed coconut water from outside. The waiter there helped me get it from outside when I didn't want to go out<br/><br/>Overall Rating:3<br/>

Very very below average food at very high price. <br/>I ate once four years back and stopped for ever .<br/>Portions are small as well. <br/>Ambience is not great. <br/>

This place gives u an amazing beach view...food here was decent but quantity was less and overpriced!!...chicken tandoori and chicken cafreal are a must try.

Place is perfect if you want to jus relax by the beach,you get a good view of the beach and decent food. A little overpriced for the food the serve. But if you jus wanna sit and relax place is nice

There's just one dish you need to try here to fall in love with this place... And that's the chicken tandoori. By far the best chicken tandoori I have had in my lifetime :D<br/>Rest of the dishes are good.. However the quantity per dish is what I would call a bit less.. The restaurant itself is very nice, ambience wise. Service is a bit lax. Overall ratings ~ 7/10 for food (tandoori gets 11/10- yes it's that good!) Ambiance 7/10 Service 6/10 Cost 6/10

The most serene and the most beautiful and quite beach of Goa. Go there for the view and the peace. Enjoy the breeze and drinks with your gang or that special someone. The drinks are a bit pricey.

Great view. Decent food. Good music. Decent service. It's a solid option when in Benaulim. Much better than Johncy's, next door. Check out their rawa fried prawns.

Giving a rating just for the view from this place which is awesome food is not great and expensive quantity was not great too. We ordered beef chilli and butter garlic squid.

Food is good , not the best but it's definite better than most. The spectacular view of the beach from the shack, with Goan curry and sausage stuffed naan- mouth watering please order cafreal whenever u visit .. This place is more about the view with beer in the hand, and good company around. I wouldn't mind enjoying some alone time though.. Just pray the 'too many restrictions' owner doesn't drop by, and time to service is at an all time high - which would be just average btw 😎

Small shack situated on the corner of Benaulim. Open through the year. The food is fresh and hearty. Would suggest stick to the basics. The mexican was surprisingly decent. And yes, they play good music.

Situated facing the Benaulim beach , you can enjoy seafood Goan style with the cool sea breeze and glass of beer. Service is good , the quality of food is good. The ambiance is lovely.
