Review Ministry Of Food - Bengaluru

Had some amazing Bengali food in the Bengali food festival. So authentic in taste and the variety of dishes surprised me a lot, specially the vegetarian dishes… beside the food the amazing hospitality of Hilton and the ambience of the festival..they set it just perfect…one of my wow experience!!

It's really a great ambience and awesome food. The spread was good and nothing to complain even on a weekday. The hospitality of the staff was too good they were very much interested to make you feel good and went above and beyond in the service. Among all items I believe mutton was the best. Also the ghost biriyani i had here was the best in recent times. Sushi on live counter was the best I ever had. Even the options on desert was huge and every item was better than other. It's a must visit place. Update: Visited second time and its really good and same experience. Thanks to Mahanta and Bidya for the recommendations and customized food items. Really appretiate the hospitality.

A variety of options available for vegetarian and non vegetarian. The buffet is around 2k per plate. We were here for a lunch on a Tuesday. Nice ambience. Service is good and quick. This restaurant is inside Hilton EGL. Loved the fried rice and sauce. Variety of desserts on the offering. Seating area is also very good. Washrooms are near by and neat.

Breakfast buffet was a heavenly offering of a variety of continental, Pan Asian and Indian cuisine. Lots of good options starting from Sushi, to Cheese world to dumplings momos kachoris vadas . Alongside with amazing array of baked items - muffins, donuts, brownies and assortment of cakes.

The Ministry of Food restaurant at the Hilton Embassy Golf Links in Bangalore, is a must-try for anyone who calls themselves a foodie. Spearheaded by the incredibly talented Chef Gaurav Paul, the food here will tickle your taste buds and keep you coming for more. During our stay at the hotel, we enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, a delicious lunch, and the most delectable Bengali themed dinner. Our first meal was the lunch buffet, boasting a huge spread. The chef recommends that you try every single thing on the menu – even if you just take two bites of each item (given that the spread is soooo extensive – and he is not wrong. From Indian to Asian, Mexican and continental, the menu comprised everything. You just have to try it or deal with FOMO later, which you do not want to. The second, and our most favorite meal was the Bengali-themed dinner buffet – a Saturday night special at the hotel. My wife and I are total novices when it comes to Bengali food, so we spoke to Chef Paul who took the time to explain the must-try dishes, although, we again ended up trying everything. Our absolute favorites were the non-veg dishes - the extremely delectable Mutton Kosha (which we came back for seconds), the fish wrapped in banana leaves, the Aalu Luchi, the jhalmuri and puchka (with guava-floured paani – wow), and the scrumptious Rohu fish curry. The authentic Bengali desserts were the icing on the cake, with various different-flavored Roshogollas. Just yum. While speaking to the chef we also learnt about the Sunday Brunch and the sea-food themed Wednesdays, which we are looking forward to trying very, very soon. We also wish to try their famous Sunday brunch in the near future. Lastly, the breakfast experience here was at par, if not better than most five star resorts. It is one of the few restaurants to boast three different live stations – with one especially dedicated to making various different desi-flavored, garam garam chais. The other two stations include an egg station, and a station for freshly-made dosas, parathas, waffles, vada pavs, and more. Despite providing so many options, the food itself was delicious, with not a single mis-step. The only thing better than the food, was the fantastic service offered by the kind chef and his incredible staff, and the excellent attention to detail, that went into ensuring all the guests enjoyed a quality experience. So, if you stay at the Hilton hotel, do yourself a favor and book a full-board stay, to enjoy the best food in town. Even if you don’t, you can always walk in as a guest, for a dinner date with your spouse or family for well-thought out, unique menus seem to be the USP of this restaurant.

I had the pleasure of attending the Oktoberfest Sunday brunch at Hilton Bangalore, and it was a truly delightful experience. The ambiance was enhanced by musical serenades in a picturesque poolside setting. One of the standout features of the brunch was the Turkish live ice cream counter, where the skilled staff not only served delicious ice cream but also entertained guests with impressive tricks, adding a unique and enjoyable element to the event. The chaats were a culinary delight, bursting with flavors and leaving a lasting impression. The extensive spread offered a wide array of options to satisfy diverse tastes. The dessert selection was a true highlight, with an abundance of choices to indulge in. Among them, the dense chocolate cake accompanied by Baskin Robbins ice cream was a clear favorite and a perfect ending to the meal. In summary, Hilton Bangalore's Oktoberfest Sunday brunch is a must-visit for those seeking a refined culinary experience. With its delectable chaats, captivating Turkish ice cream counter, and an array of gourmet options, it promises an afternoon filled with culinary delights and cherished memories.

Great experience with the buffet. Highly appreciate the service by Sandeep, Mahant and Mariam. Starters were very limited in the buffet. Only fried items and no tandoor dishes. Main course was better. Deserts were best.
THE AK FACTOR
Had some amazing team lunch at Ministry of food. The spread, service, ambience was amazing Yash and Sandeep attended us and they were amazing hosts. Highly recommended

Fantastic representation of bengali cuisine in a modern style. The way "Aloo Kabli" has been portrayed as a salad along with many others was really great. Bengali food need to be advertised more in this unique way. Starters were one of its kind with many choices. I am not even talking about the taste which is great. Kudos to the team especially Mahanta. More non bengali need to visit the place to understand the intricacies of bengali food. Its "NOT" only about the fish.

Visited the restaurant on Sunday to explore their buffet breakfast. The atmosphere, ambience , service all are class. But alas food was left wanting in taste. We were very excites seeing so many varieties of continental and indian breakfast options, but the taste was on average side. The poha, Parathas, Upma, waffles and even quintessential Omelette was pretty much average. The saving grace was some of continental options and the patisserie, where the Danish rolls, doughnuts and everything else were delicious. All in all will recommend this place for a good outing.

We tried out the dinner buffet on our special day which was on a weekday. There was a wide spread of starters, salads, desserts and food. I just loved the ambience of the place, comfortable lighting and seating, acceptable music and a less crowd. But, food was really okayish. I liked the variety of salads and desserts. However, starters and main course was just about okay. We ordered Roti and they took a really long time, so we cancelled. I ordered a couple of cocktails but they took a very long time to deliver, inspite of the less crowd, which was kind of frustrating. Rest was fine.

The service was excellent! The food was really good. The buffet had a wide spread for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians and everything tasted really good. The buffet was ₹1500 + taxes and it was worth it. The ambiance was peaceful. It’s a great place for a date or a family get together.

Another fine dine in Bangalore which serves PAN Asian, Ambience was wow, customer friendly, loved the fish options, however could have been more of options in Mutton and chicken as well, apart from that we have lesser options to choose, Surprisingly Veg food was also tasty which most of the other diners lacks, they do have lots of yummy deserts, Costs :2k per head. Though it was a weekday, it was crowded, best to book a table.

Me and my wife went to this restaurant on our anniversary. We took the buffet lunch and the experience was excellent. The variety of dishes were amazing and most of the food tasted great. Desserts were the highlight of the meal. Special mention to Mr. Sandeep for the great hospitality, excellent service and also for gifting us a cake for our anniversary.

25-DEC-23 evening. Hotel decor was very eye pleasing and relaxing. Was attended by Sandeep and Jadin. Exceptional Sevice. They went extra mile to make our evening relaxed and enjoyable. Compliments to Pastry Chef for extremely beautiful and appetizing desserts. The color combination and designs were outstanding. Food, both on veg and non veg was on spicer side which was an exception on this evening. Usually spices are well balanced so that all age groups can eat.

Update (23/10/2022): Recently visited this restaurant again and loved the food. We did not like our first experience here but this time it was lovely. Probably it was just after lockdown and they were not fully functional. The spread was good. Awesome desserts options. Great non veg items. Good main course as well. -------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty average experience. Our expectation was high as this is under the Hilton hotel. Once we checked out the buffet spread, we were immediately disappointed. Spread was very limited compared to any other Five star hotel's restaurant. Option for dessert was very average, nothing special. The taste of food was not also great. So overall a disappointing experience.

Great hospitality and super courteous staff members. We visited this place for lunch on Saturday. Ordered Prawn Risotto and Salmon. Both dishes were good. More than the food we were particularly impressed with how attentive and helpful the staff members are. They were patient enough to describe all the dishes to us. Also, as the dishes took some time to be prepared, the staff members brought us some complimentary starters from the buffet. Wonderful experience!

I ordered mutton rogan josh and dal makhani from here, meat quality was good and I think there were 5 pieces meat. It’s worth buying because whenever I order from a local restaurant I end up getting only 2 pieces which you can actually eat and will be fatty. There was a discount so I actually got 1 plate for around 370 ish. Dal was also good. I’m going to order soon again and will not forget to take the picture.

Went for the Saturday Lunch at this place and was extremely impressed with the offering. The restaurant has a light soothing ambience with only alternate tables being used as part of COVID protocols to maintain social distancing.
The meal started with a mild sweet corn chicken soup followed by the veg and non veg starters. The starters are served directly on your plate and include 3 veg and 3 non-veg items each. The non veg dishes included roasted chicken kebab, prawns and fish, all of them were top notch and tasted supreme. The veg dishes included paneer tikka, veg manchurian and hara bhara kebab. Veg dishes were also upto the mark and didn't disappoint. You also have a live chat counter serving a range of chats like paani puri, dahi puri etc.

We then proceeded to the maincourse which is a buffet spread. You need to go to the counter and choose the dish which you want and that'll be served to you on your plate by the restaurant staff, again, this is cause of the COVID protocols in place. The main course included a combination of Chinese, Italian and Indian Dishes. I tired out the noodles, fried rice, fish, chicken biriyani and malai kofta. All the dishes were upto the mark but a special mention for the malai kofta, it tasted fantastic with butter naan and the kofta just melts in your mouth. AMAZING!!

The desert section was a wide spread of multiple items including sweets, pastries, ice creams etc. Tried out each of them and was left wanting for more!! Each item had it's own charm and was super tasty!!

A special mention for the staff here, they follow all the COVID protocols and make you feel extremely comfortable and cared for. Really appreciate all the effort they put in to make our experience memorable.

Super happy with this place and its fantastic Saturday lunch offering.

The saftey protocols during covid-19 situation were maintained properly. The food was delicious specially the chats and sushi. The sunday brunch buffet was worth the money. After such a long time, we really had fun.

There were good amount of ppl. However social distancing and other safety measures well maintained. Good taste wasn’t upto mark.. the service was very poor, when we called they assured good service and experience. It was my wife’s Bday and wasn’t a good experience to wait for long time and remind the order. So couldn’t eat much because of the delay. It feels bad to remind again an again and ask for new item when you know it is going to take menu. Concept of Buffet not fulfilled..

We had celebrated the birthday party for my daughter in Hilton. The staff is courteous and made our family very comfortable. They also provided Khichdi which was not part of set menu for the infant with us. The food quality and portion is good.

Food was tasty and service was great

While at my staycation, I decided to try out the food here because they stopped the lazy Saturday brunch temporarily and pool access is closed too due to the Corona pandemic. However, they're serving the food on a la carte basis and I ordered for this delicious BBQ chicken pizza that is topped with lots of chicken that's marinated only too well, caperberries, onions and absolutely the best marinara sauce I've ever come across. Originally this pizza contains tomatoes too, only I asked them removed.
Other than that, Sai Sanjith B K ordered chicken biryani. Claimn to fame - The chicken in it was boneless, marinated very well and super tender. It was one of the most subtle and brilliant biryanis I've had till date.
The staff is very hospitable and never lets the glass remain half full at your table. 😄

Had the Sunday brunch here. Great spread of food, nice drinks and a dip in the pool. Perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.

We went there for buffet breakfast. Food had varity from north, south, continental and bakery items. All of them were flavorful.
About staff, all were very courteous and attentive, overall very professional especially Vishnu who was very helpful.

Food was delicious. The spread include asian, western, continental, oriental selections, choice of cocktails, mock-tails and fresh fruits. Sujal, Shazi, Sachin and staff Amazing hospitality Keep it up! Food was very nice And we loved the full menu Chatnis are awesome !

I bought Indian deserts for my official foreigner guests with a faith in Hilton. But the taste and quality Embarrassed me me so much that they told me on face why did you bring us here. I will never return here.

Had the Christmas brunch here and it was absolutely divine. You're spoilt for choice and no dish disappoints. Service was excellent as well.

Lunch buffet is very good. Too many options to choose from. Dessert spread is huge. Ambiance is lovely
Vedshree (@littlefoodiegirl)
I tried the Kolkata Calling menu during Durga Puja here and it was worth it. Lots of options, both for non veg as well as Vegetarians.
I enjoyed the Chanar Dalna the most! The Paneer was super soft and the gravy - delicious. The Shukto along with rice and some Cholar Dal was enough to fill me up.
We met the brilliant team behind the food who had flown from Kolkata to prepare a new menu everyday for Pujo!
The Dessert spread was elaborate, I enjoyed the Mishti Doi and Sondesh the most.

Been here for the Lunch Buffet on my Birthday. Food tasted awesome! Ambience is great! will definitely visit again!

Very nice for Sunday brunch. Sometimes music can be too loud outside and party like by the pool. Today music was perfect and relaxing. Thank you! Love the salad bar and indian section. Will be back more often for sure.

The food over all is great with good variety and options. The quality is also good in here. Mainly the dessert options or spread is great where most of the places fail to keep up with.

5/5 for the Ambience! It is really cool. But I was little disappointed with the food. The food was little sad.

Stylish, sophisticated and awesome... Yes I know it sounds kind of overrated.. But believe me you all will believe in this once you go "Ministry of Food". Good food, awesome ambience and most importantly extremely awesome service make this place stand apart. I know foods prices are in the higher side. But every now and then you ought to spend a significant amount of money to experience some things unique. Foods here are awesome. But my favorite part is the desert. Believe me you will get enough variety of dessert to challenge your taste bud.

Place is good! It was an buffet so had varieties in place ! Lot of choices to eat!! Service was good !! Dessert looks at best!! Nice place to dine out!!!

Went for buffet dinner on July 23, 2019. Ambiance is good at poolside and inside the restaurant might be too crowded and warmer. Starters were good and main course. It looked food being kept under heat for sometime, when I tried white rice I got the crunchy feel and I left it (might be the case no one tried white rice yet). Also, I couldn't find easily differentiate the veg and non-veg counters, it's a kind of mix. Since I'm being a vegetarian, two times mistakenly picked the non veg food. And no veg baked desserts :( only Indian sweets. If they could concentrate on these, surely deserves a five star. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Candle light dinner at poolside is the best choice for couples. Have a nice time.

Visited Ministry of Food for Saturday dinner. The place was almost empty when we reached there around 9.30pm! So we had the full attention of the staff 😊 We chose Ala Carte - Beer batter fried prawns for the Starter, Butter Naan and Mutton for the main course. The waitress suggested that we go for 2 Butter Naan instead of 3 as their portion size in Ala Carte is huge and boy, she was right! We struggled to finish 2 butter naans leave alone 3! Kudos to her for being customer friendly and considerate about food wastage. The Prawns was outstanding and one of the best that I have had in a really long time.. The mutton gravy was yummy as well with subtle spicy notes and rich creamy texture from the cashews. The mutton was well cooked and additional pointers for boneless pieces making the dining experience even smoother. Apologies for not knowing the name of the lady who waited our table but she was extremely courteous and served us with a big smile throughout. Overall, this visit made us head home with a big smile.

Food - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5 (Was a typical fine dining set up)

Ministry of Food , excellent ambience, cosy seats and lovely service . Must try good dessert and deserve a visit . One suggestion the food can serve hot . So small advice to the Hitlon , I know it may be tough but you can heat the food .

What a brilliant spread the buffet has to offer adding to it the dessert counter is a treat for the sweettooth. Impeccable service and dainty decor. Must visit.

Their breakfast buffet will bowl you over. The lunch and dinner Buffets are good too but not as A-mazing as their waffles and pancakes you get for breakfast.

I do have a memory of Hilton way back during my childhood and was expecting the same royalty and class when I saw it listed in Zomato and called in to book.

Also saw an offer of 1+1 Lazy Saturday Multicuisine Buffet Lunch and I was like Are waah! What else do I need to celebrate my husband’s birthday?

So called the number that was listed and the gentleman (I would not like to disclose the name) patiently answered all my questions. I told him I will call back and later received a whatsapp message from him. Since I felt this was a good deal, I told him to book a table for two. He also promised to set a special table close to the pool and arrange a cake. All went fine so far.

As I saw the offer under “The Salt Grill” restaurant, when I reached the hotel and approached the reception area, the lady at the reception said that it is closed and I was like huh? When I mentioned about the buffet, is when she said that the offer is for another restaurant “Ministry of Food” and directed me to restaurant. [Luckily, they did let us sit by the pool]

Note:Restaurants at Hilton, please specify which restaurant is offering what offer. Randomly mentioning under every Hilton restaurant is confusing for the guests.

I approached the guy at the entrance of the restaurant, and asked for the person whom I spoke to and he said he wasn’t there. He looked up the register to find NO BOOKING under my name! And that’s when my DISAPPOINTMENT takes a flight.

-One of the below par buffet services that I have witnessed.

-I asked if the starters would be served at the table and they said yes. But the guy who served the starters was not even sure what dish he served, every time I ask him, he would have a blank face or would run back to the counter to figure out the name.

-They were not even aware about the cake that I had booked.

-They billed me even for the complementary buffet. They asked me for the booking SMS (which I hadn’t received) and I literally had to show the Whatsapp message to so that the bill could be readjusted.

Absolute disgust!!!

The only reason I am giving an extra star rating to this hotel is for a guy named “Krishnan”. I was so mad with all this happening and told him about the horrible service. He made sure he did the best he could do (also arranged a cake in such a short notice) and won my heart!

Hilton, please pay an extra attention on your employees (at least train them well), we need more of “Krishnans” if you would want to keep your name high!

Ambience – 3.5/5

Food Options – 3/5 [Very less options in starters but there was an amazing spread of desserts]

Food Taste – 3/5

Service -3/5 [I give a 3 only for Krishnan’s service, would have given 0 otherwise]

So people opting this deal, please make sure you have the booking conversation [incase u have not recieved the booking SMS] saved as they would ask you to show proof !

came for the sunday brunch....really great variety of cuisines and food...on the expensive end...but good if you eat non veg food as wel....then you can make it worth...

Been here with a couple of friends for lunch buffet once. I absolutely loved the ambience and the friendly staff. Try to get a table near the pool side. It will be walk to get your food to the table but you can enjoy the live music and pool view.

Went for the Turkish food festival. Hardly any options available. Shockingly average. Hummus was over, when we asked for more they got us a bowl of just ground chickpeas, no oil cumin etc added. Very disappointing.

Loved the experience and food was also very good. Great ambience and service. Bhagyashree, who attended us for the evening, served us very well
! Kudos

Had been here for their pool side Sunday brunch multiple times! Good place to chill and they do have a good spread but can still be better! Their brunch is decently priced and you’ll not be bored as there’s live music by the pool and there’s a magician and multiple fun things to do!

I was browsing through Zomato's collections and found out about the Sunday Brunch at Ministry of Food and decided to dine here on the last Sunday of March.

My heart and taste buds were brimming with excitement upon arriving here and I was amazed with how elaborate the spread was.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think I started out with a quirky plate that comprised of Parma ham, chicken mortadella, pork salami, seafood sushi, fish paupiette, chilli basil fish, shredded chicken with lemon grass along with a few pickled olives and a couple of Indian starters, namely paneer and chicken tikka. I thought almost all of these items were nice and the seafood rolls stood out.

There were a couple of live counters where I tried pani puri (not the greatest) and some keema (again, not the greatest but then I'm not the biggest fan of mutton or chevon).

The Arabian live station (at Salt Grill) was serving scrumptious prawns, pomfret (I think) and a couple of types of sausages (pork and chicken). I got some dal, rice and chutney (standard sides that you can't go wrong with in my opinion) where were great accompaniments to these BBQ'd items.

I took a bit of a break and decided to have an early dessert round sandwiched and tried the gulab jamuns and chocolate pudding which were fantastic and then decided to get more seafood from the grill.

The final round of desserts included mud cake, raspberry almond pastry, caramel fudge and blueberry pastry and some kind of mango cheesecake, all of which were outstanding.

Funnily enough, I stumbled upon some kind of Smoked salmon with cream cheese and poached calamari with pear and decided to try them (squid was good) despite already having moved on to desserts.

The last course of brunch was a few scoops of fig/honey, coffee and mango ice creams topped with plums, guavas and chocolate syrup.

I think I had quite a few mocktails along the way and really enjoyed all of them including the one with cocount surprisingly (pina co lada, lime, fruit punch, cranberry and mango).

There were a few more stations serving crepes, pasta and breads that I couldn't try on the day since I was already feeling so stuffed; the variety is that incredible.

Service was hospitale and outstanding for the most part (especially by Hari, Sanjay and Shubham) except for the grill station which was a bit on the slower side and the staff was really attentive to requests. Ambience on the day was cool and relaxed (what's not to love regarding having lunch by the pool with good music playing in the background).

Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

The Sunday Brunch at Ministry of Food is definitely a place to visit if you're in town and looking to unwind.

Food - 4/5. Service - 4/5.

Being a 5-star Hotel's restaurant you have high expectations and they don't disappoint you. The ambiance is decent, varieties available are excellent and every item has good taste, service is great and starters-desserts are better than the main course.

This place is a wonderful place for lunch and breakfast. The food is truly exquisite and varied. You don't get a chance to taste everything due to sheer variety but whatever you get to eat is really very good. Very few five star hotels have such a good and tasty spread. The staff is extremely helpful and always willing to help you. I have had their breakfast a few times now and lunch buffet twice and despite so many times never had any complaints. Outstanding place. Yes it is expensive but I don't mind of my company or my company's management is willing to pick up the tab. Hoping to get the opportunity of their poolside Sunday brunch sometime soon .

The "Street by Night" is just a restaurants version of STOCK CLEARANCE! The items in each stall are either undercooked, very oily, too salty, cold or, here comes the best, MISSING!! Mind you, these are basic street food items that are displayed and the chefs here have manged to mess them up too. There was Gujarati Fafda and Dhokla in the menu, which was missing at the stall, to which the chef says that "The Dhokla is over", that is one hour into the spread and, "We weren't able to get Fafda anywhere in Bengaluru". So the food is basically outsourced in Hilton and not made in-house.

The head chef speaks about authenticity while, the food resembles to that cooked by not even an amateur chef. Very very dissappointed by the spread. The chefs have no training or experience!! To top it, our feedback was just mocked silently. All that is cared for here is the ambience and the atmosphere.

Great place to visit as usual. Been here many times. The ambience and food is great.

The veg options are limited in alacarte but quality of what they serve is good.

Will visit again

This was couple of days ago we had been here for Kashmiri food festival That perfect Kashmiri affair. It was an absolute delight to be amidst the wonderful warm company to witness the brilliant culinary showcase by Chef-Rehman Mujeebur. A connoisseur of Awadhi cuisines who is ardent in exploring the unexplored dishes of the rich heritage of Mughlai and Kashmiri food, Chef Mujeebur Rehman is a prodigy in curating art in the name of food. Chef who hails from Lucknow and has flown down to Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks to woo the people of Bengaluru with a thoughtfully curated progressive Kashmiri fare. Sheer brilliance in bringing diverse flavours together. Let’s give it up for the Kashmiri dishes that go straight to the heart, Gushtaba, Mutton Roganjosh, Tabak Maaz, Nadur Yakhni and many more such delicacies. Desserts of course to melt your heart. Loved the setting at the bespoke fine dine Ministry of Food and a perfect centre stage for the chef to present his dishes!

Special mention our host Mr. Deepak & Ms. Jaya they both took good care of our table.

Food is delectable. The ambiance is great. Hospitality is warm. What else is required for luxury dining? This restaurant covers most of the Asian cuisine. They organize special events which host a full-fledged cuisine based menu. Like the Thai, Chinese or Japanese. Currently, they are running a Thai food festival with Phad Thai being their popular dish available with toppings of your choice. In general, baby chicken cooked in fenugreek-yogurt flavor is their signature dish. It is tender enough to melt in your mouth the moment you intake. Their Sunday brunch is one of the biggest in the city that comprises of 150+ dishes and includes live music and other performances. We went for A'la Carte and since the preparation was taking time, they served some appetizing starters at their own cost. This kind of hospitality is rare. Though the price is on the higher side, it is totally worth if you have an appetite and ready to taste a wide variety of Asian food.

This place has a very nice feel to it !! We visited it on a special occasion. The hotel ambiance is on point , it has 2 or 3 restaurants in it and ministry of food is one of it , we tried the buffet and the spread is pretty good . It a nice place to visit with family .. all in all a good experience..

Very very fancy place. Food served here is of such high quality. The staff is trained extremely well.
The variety in the buffet is endless, one can't have all the items that are there in one single meal.

Amazing food.. Even better was ghe staff, especially the head chef - Mohammad Shiraj.

It was a Rajasthani Food Featival today and the food was upto the mark.. Desserts were spectacular.

Service by Freddy was great!

I happened to be here for breakfast today! And I must say that my experience was a good one😊😍
Food- The breakfast spread was good!Lots of options for fruits and healthy juices, along with yoghurt,salads,tea/coffee. They had good options of Indian and foreign food! The live counter for dosa,Parantha ,eggs ,pancakes etc was the best part of the buffet!! The desserts section stole my heart!💓
The quality is good and the buffet prices are reasonable. I would suggest that addition of some Indian non-vegetarian items would be nice...
Service- The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service was really good👌
The ambience is good...
Looking forward to visit this place again... I would highly recommend this place for breakfast/lunch with family ☺️

Special thanks to Execute Chef Ananth for making our dining experience even better..
I went here for a Sunday brunch with my sister. We didn’t get a pool side table so we had to sit inside. The ambience here is amazing! Its very classy on the inside and near the pool they have live grills and kids playing in the pool, people chilling.. it all feels good.
We arrived there late in the afternoon so there were hardly any customers. As for the service initially no one bothered, later when we were through our main course someone came and asked if we would like something from the live counter which was based in the lobby between the pool area and dining area. I was kind of disappointed with the service.
The spread was good but a lot of it wasn’t warm enough to appeal. They had kept the veg and non-veg items together so it looked like the variety was more but when you look at it separately the variety seems lesser for the price we paid. I like the desserts section but again some desserts could have been better.
Overall it was an average experience with some amazing ambience.

Visited this outlet for its Saturday brunch. First off, service is excellent and makes up for the fact that the food is good in parts, like the curate's egg!

Started with a very nice pumpkin chowder soup but was disappointed with the smoked salmon (gravlax) ; seemed shorn of smokiness.

Liked the grill station - prawns & fish were really nicely done. The Mexican station was average while the bao station could also do with softer baos.

The Asian section had pork belly with apple sauce and a kind of grilled chicken as well as stir fried vegetables and udon noodles. The chicken & udon noodles were good (use the honey chilli, vinegar & soy sauces!) but the pork belly just felt fatty & flavorless.
It's a huge spread so didn't try the extensive Indian section (they also have a live chaat counter & a bhajji/pakoda counter).
The desserts were pretty average. They also have icecreams with different toppings & sauces which was nice.
One understands that buffets are difficult to perfect across tastes & cuisines so this one is a pretty decent effort overall.
However the service is really good & tips the rating to 4*.
No visible fire safety device. No secondary exit points.

Had gone to this place to celebrate a special occassion with family. We had pre booked and availed 1+1 offer for the weekend brunch menu.

So this is located inside Embassy Golf Links, Inner Ring Road, near Domlur. So located inside this IT hub, it is maintained ofcourse neat and superb clean.

They have Valet parking and you would feel the five star aura right once you step in the property.

They have multiple restaurants inside Hilton, of which this one is specialised for brunch. The place is spread both inside and outside by the pool and you can choose your seat. But ofcourse the pool side seats go off fast.

🍹🍷
The barman was quite innovative and doled out great mocktails to us. We had cranberry cooler, orange cooler, blue lagoon, apple soother all of which were nicely done and quite refreshing. I and specifically told about not to make the drinks too sweet. And barman did it in right way desired.

🍠🍠
Canaloni was cheesy and creamy. It was nicely wrapped in and quote delicious.

📍📍
There was also a Chaat section preparing samosa, kachori and few some snacks.
Samosa, kachori, pani puri all were decent to munch on.

📌📌
Bedmi Poori was prepared so deliciously and nice. The Sabji was prepared very nicely. The Poori had a nice flavour and good taste. Would surely satisfy the North Indian Bedmi Poori craving.

⛱️⛱️
The pool side place also serves as barbeque place where you can have your choice of meat barbequed. They alsohad Maggi, yes the famous Maggi :)

🍝🍝
There was also a pasta section. Where you could choose your choice of pasta.

🍞🍞
There was a chole kulche section which was delicious and soft.

🍪🍪
There was elaborate spread of Italian, Mexican, Indian origin that was in offering. There was Kashmiri Veg Shami Kabab also that was served on table.

🐟🐟
Grill section had elaborate fish ( pomfret, Mahi Mahi, lobster ), chicken wings, beef, pork and many other. Only preparation available was grill and no use of sauce or anything.

But for hard core meat eater that would do without small serving if tomato, onion and few dressing sauce available at salad section.

🍗🍗
In main course, Chicken Yakhni Pulao was very delicious and tasty. The flavour was very good and delicious.

🎎🎎

Oriental Chicken was nice and delicious. The chicken was well marinated and prepared in nice oriental curry.

Tofu and Semolina was also available which was good.

🌹🌹
Lotus Stem curry, the very traditional Kashmiri preparation was nice. However felt, the lotus root could have been diced smaller and bit more crunchier.

🌶️🌶️
They had elaborate Achar section which had jackfruit pickle, mango pickle and what not.

🍧🍧
Dessert had elaborate spread. Which included two varieties of ice cream and choice of sauce and toppings in form of nuts.

🧀🧀
Baklava was very nice and crunchy. It was crunchy outside and sweet inside.

Pineapple pastry and mousse preparation was nice.

Rabri and Jalebi was good. Mini rosogolla was good too.

We ended our meal with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea. Which was very soothing. You can also opt for coffee instead.

What bowled me was exemplary service. There was always someone attending our table. The ordered Chaat and grill items came fast to table.

There was some confusion on the offer we selected. But it was sorted out.

There was also a complimentary cake for the ocassion which was rich and nice.

Thanks to the great hospitality. I would surely return for more.

We went there for brunch with our family. Ministry of food is the name of this buffet section. The ambience was top notch, especially the pool side area. The buffet brunch spread was very huge. It was very difficult for me to taste all these food in a day. Because even if you have one spoon of every dish your tummy will full like hell. But I tried in every possible way 😋. Starters were good in vegetarian and non vegetarian sections. Crispy chilli paneer and fish Tikka was the best among other things. They have barbeque sections in pool side area, where you can choose your favorite fish, pork, beef or chicken. There was plenty of mocktails to choose from in bar section. That day they organized Kashmiri food festival so we got some extra flavor of it. I had chicken yakhni pulao - it was so good. The Kashmiri dum aloo almost melted in my mouth. They also kept live pasta counter. The plenty of cakes, pastry, small rasgullas full filled my sweet craving. Service was the way best than anything. The hospitality was top notch. We got some issue related to billing but was amicably sorted out by the staff.

Really don’t know how the restaurant managed to get a good rating on Zomato. The food is absolutely bad. We visited during the Kashmiri themed buffet and trust me, there was nothing for the vegetarians.
Wow, just an akhrot cake and 1 paneer starter and that too wasn’t cooked properly.
The soup and other apetizers were equally bad. Wasn’t able to enjoy the food at all but landed up paying a bomb for eating absolutely nothing.
Please upgrade your standards or atleast upgrade your chefs. Being a brand, please act like a brand.
Not at all recommended for anyone. Pls check before visiting this place. Do not count only on good reviews.
Ankita Kuila
We wanted to have a special celebration on the occasion of my Dad's birthday - after reading numerous good reviews on Zomato about the Ministry of Food, we zeroed it down to this one. At a distance of more than 20 km from where we stay - the travel was worth the time given the Bangalore traffic scenes.😋

I was looking for a quiet and classy place for a dinner date with my wife and MoF came as a very viable option. From the moment you walk in, you get a very warm response from all their staffs. Out of all the tempting options, we went for pan seared salmon and prawn spaghetti. Boy!!!!! They were awesome!!!!! The fact that they customised the dish based on our preferences, made us like the place even more. And last but not the least, service was well taken care. Not for once did we have to reach out to them. They were on their toes to serve us. I am surely going to come back here and would recommend to all.

What's For Lunch
Having heard a lot about this place. I decided to try their Saturday brunch. However the spread was underwhelming. The dishes were not tasting their best. For example, the Dahi Bhalla had a weird taste to the Bhalla. The grill section which had the chicken and shrimps were also disappointing. The main course had a decent spread but because of poor quality of appetisers I wasn't looking forward to it. I did try Kerala style biryani which turned out to be just okay. My only saviour was the noodles and the Rasmalai. These were the only two dishes which could satisfy my hunger. An expensive affair, definitely not worth the time and money.
Ashni
I went here for the Christmas brunch. They had a huge spread and delicious food. It had live counters for pasta, chat, laksa, etc and separate counters for breads, cheese, pickles etc. Apart from the multiple main course counters which consisted of a wide variety of delicacies. The chicken croquettes were my favorite.
The best part was the dessert room! I would say this is easily one of the best places for brunch. The service was just wonderful. Thanks to bhagyashree and Depesh :)

It was not on main road and we needed google to find the right way . Once in , there were clear signs to guide you to the hotel. We were there to celebrate our anniversary . Service was exceptional esp by Ms Yanki. Food was good. Loved the Indian counter . They have Chaat Chinese Indian Italian Cheese Salad Pickle n Papad Desserts counter . Lots of varieties . Would love to visit again .

I have to update my review. We had our hesitation cos of the current covid situation but we were put at ease the minute we walked in . We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet meal . Safety was top priority and it didn't deter us from having a good experience. Food was great as usual. Will be returning again soon. ( July 2020 )

Quite disappointed with the food quality. Mediocre food for high prices. The Vegetable Biryani wasn’t as tasty as we’d expected it to be. The chocolate mousse cake was hard and dry. Service didn’t disappoint though.

A prodigious spread hands down.
One of d finest dining experience.
The food and ambience were great. I really appreciate with service staff;Ms.Bhagyashri make my dinner comfortable. Thank u so much☺

Visited this place for lunch.
Ambience is great and have a classy touch too.
We choose to go for buffet.
Lack of variety in starters, only 3 starters were there but the taste was good.
Main course was very diverse from Thai and Chinese to Indian and Lebanese, all were well cooked and tasty.
Finally comes dessert which was awesome, beet root halwa and pineapple cake deserves extra credit.
All over experience was good but there's room for improvement, as my expectations were high.

Ambience: 5/5
Food : 4/5

Totally lived up to the expectation of being a Hilton group hotel restaurant. Excellent food, courteous staff good ambience. Service was a tad slow but guess that can be a one of thing. Must visit.

Not worth. Food menu is limited ( I will say for vegetarians its hardly 3-4 items. Who will visit a Five star restaurant to eat Onion Pakodas, Aloo fry & Honey Chili potato. Once again there are better options available. Ministry of Food, please look into your menu & service. I'm extremely disappointed.
Sachin Kumar Singh
It’s buffet has a good variety. The service is ok considering the benchmark is for a 5 star hotel. Ice cream served was melting and could have been served better. Meat dishes were well cooked apart from baked chicken which was dry. Sweet dishes were decent.

Awesome place with authentic Italian food. Went there after recommendation from a friend. Parking can be a bit problem but it's worth the tasty food.

Amazing food. Nice ambiance, great service. Every Sunday food theme is different. The day we went it was Bengali food. Loved it., authentic Bengali cuisine it was. Also happened to be part of Christmas cake mixing., loved the overall experience :)

We went to celebrate a couple of personal achievements and I must say the experience was awesome.
Hilton chain of hotels doesn't need introduction across the globe but yes probably it's branding isn't done the same way like the JWs , Leelas, Ritz and Sheraton in India.
The greetings by head staff (Hari Shankar), the aura, aesthetics, staff, the gastronomical delight - everything was top notch.
I had asked for a small cake to celebrate a special occasion and it was done perfectly. The flavour , presentation and value add were an absolute bliss.
In a nutshell it was Top class !!
It's a multicuisine restaurant but has good balance of flavour for all the types (Continental, Italian, Indian)
We ordered Grilled chicken, Arabita pasta, Gilafi seekh kabab, Tandoori chicken pizza, Sukha mutton, Sphagetti pasta, Chicken makhni...
Brilliant experience !!
Devendra
They took too much time to prepare the food even though the restaurant only had a few tables occupied. Moreover the food was cold, even after asking to get it heated properly it wasn't satisfactory hot. Taste was good though.
Then, we went on to try some cake in Recess bakery, which wasn't fresh.
Shailesh Padmashali
I cannot find words from my vocabulary to frame sentence for the ambience this place offers.
Right from the aroma and the presentation everything is upto perfection. The food however was just alright and not very pleasing, hope for some typical Indian yummy taste next time around. 'cheers' !!

Seeing the good reviews here Went with family for dinner.
Starters were cold except grilled chicken.Main course was ok.An average experience

During one of the business trips to Bangalore, I happen to stop with an Australian colleague for lunch at Ministry of Foods on Sept 5th. We missed the buffet as it was closing and settled for A' la-carte. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Thai green curry. The staff was busy closing the buffet and we got less than deserved attention. After waiting for 20 mins, we were told that by mistake they have prepared mutton biryani. We didn't want to wait another 20 mins and settled for what they got. The papad served were fried in over used oil was has black particles on it. The replacement wasn't good either. Finally we managed to eat something and got out. Clearly not a Hilton experience and I am not sure of visiting again to this place. Hope the management takes this feedback seriously.

Good Food, ambience, service. Drinks are average. Good collection in Sunday brunch. Ratatouille and Paneer was amazing. collection of rotis is limited.

They have the best breakfast buffet I have had recently. They have an amazing spread, ranging from continental, indian, juices, waffles, pancakes..anything you of..they have it. The service and ambience of this place is also great.

Hi Foodies,

It was a great visit to the Ministry of Food. The ambience was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing is make sure you book the proper time since the Brunch starts only at 12:30 PM!!!

The brunch spread was amazing with many live counters. The starters and mocktails were served at the table. Chat was amazing. Don't miss the dessert section, we needed to have a separate session for the desserts.

We are allowed to use the pool facilities till 5 PM although the brunch is only till 4 PM!!!
The price was competitive for the spread they are having... Overall a must visit place for the Sunday Brunch if you're in and around Bangalore!!!😉🤘🍽️

Ambience is good .So to begin with starters there could have been more variety in chicken..no mutton dish in the menu surprisingly..but food was good in taste..the full tandoori chicken was the best even the fish was awsum as well..ambur biryani was also good..coming to the deserts the gulab jamun ,kala jamun were soft and well made..the cheese cake was amazing..overall very good experience..the place doesn play very loud music so people preferring a quiet place should consider this as an option

This is the perfect place for a nice dinner. We took a la carte instead of the buffet. The hospitality of Hilton is top notch and the food was amazing. If you like mocktails, do try Cinnamon Slush..it is one of the best mocktails I have ever had. Finish your dinner with chocolate bomb..such a yummy dessert. Will love to come here again.

Superb Desserts!! Our Signature Lunch Buffet had atleast 20 varieties of Exquisite Desserts!
Food options are also plenty, Service is good, Waiters could be better in Politeness. Ambience is good.

This restaurant is inside the Hotel Hilton. Less than a km distance from main road.
Parking - free valet parking.
Food - I had breakfast buffet during my stay at Hilton.
They have varieties in their breakfast menu.
It serves South indian and north Indian dishes. They have poha, bread, etc.
The food is overall good.
Drinks - juices are normal. Butter milk is well prepared. Tea is just fine.
Sweets - nothing great about sweets but blueberry muffin is a must try.
Ambience - Good.
Service - 4/5.
Price- 5 star price.

The ambiance is definitely good but wasn't too impressed with my burger. My husband had gone for the schezwan rice. It was spicy but lacked the finesse of a 4*. Maybe had high expectations that is why wasn't too happy.

Well. I should say that this is the biggest buffet spread I have seen so far in bangalore.i believe that they take their food very serious here. Everything about food is meticulously thought of and implemented. We started with soup and starters (paneer, baby corn manchurian, ratatouille cups, aloo tikki) were all made to perfection. We next had chats at the chat counter which were good. This was followed by main course (plain rice, Rajma masala, kadi pakodi, soya curry, dal makhani, bhendi fry, roti to name a few) all of which were exceptionally good. Considering all my previous experiences, this was really the next level. This collaborates to my first statement on taking the food serious. We were really in shock for the deserts section. No less than 25 items we were served in dessert alone. Being a person with sweet tooth, it was a heavenly feeling. I can't deny that I was so confused where to start. There were sufficient choices for children, ranging from marshmallows, gems, chocolates etc. My daughter absolutely loved the gummy bears. There were live grills which we didn't taste due to lack of any more space in our tummies. It was overly crowded by 130pmwhich shows that it is quite famous among the elite. There was younger crowd which is mostly the software guys. It would be ideal place to take your girl for a date. The cost is definitely high. You better go when you are really really starving to make it moneys worth. We used 1 plus 1 buffet offer through a 3rd party service provider which costed us 2050 for the two. There is option for pool side dining with pool usage being complimentary for buffet users. Pool is well maintained and very clean. If you carry swimming wear you can use the pools (fresh towels were provided by the house). There were wide variety of wines and drinks to choose from which we refrained ourselves from. Overall you would have a good time visiting this place. I would love to visit again.
Food options - 5/5
Food taste - 5/5
Service--4/5
Date ready - 4/5
Crowd - 4/5
USP- food itself
Don't miss - desserts
Revisit metre-4/5
Cost-3/5
Value for money - 4/5

If nothing else, I've always enjoyed the buffets at 5-stars! This was equally good. Went for an early morning breakfast at Ministry of Food on a Saturday, it was a great start to the weekend!

Ambiance:
Huge seating area with beautiful decor. Just what you expect from an amazing hotel. Enter the lounge and you need to walk ahead to get to this place.

Food:
Overall, the food was above average, but, the spread was amazing. They spoil you with a zillion options in the breakfast buffet. Although I don't remember ALL of the items, but here's some I can remember.
There's at least ten varieties of juices/beverages, including sweet lime, activated charcoal with lemon, wheatgrass, karela, amla, nannari sharbat and lots more.
Moving in to the food, you can start with the English breakfast side, offering baked beans, scrambled eggs, potatoes, tomatoes and more. There's also pork and chicken sausages, bacon and chicken steam balls. Since I'm not pork-eater, there chicken sausage was pretty generic, the steamed chicken balls were decent. You can also pick your choice of bread.
There's also indian options including bonda, Puri, dal and many others.
The Oriental options were quite delicious. There was Noddles, veg Thai curry, fish with ginger shitake mushrooms and sweet Curren soup. Special mention to the fish and Thai curry. They were delectable.
There some options also available in the cold salad section. Choose you protein- baked fish, smoked chicken, chicken salami (it was called something else and tasted very different and yum), pork. There are about three different options of cheese asking with some fresh lettuce, spinach and more.
There's a live counter for dosa. They also offer tea, coffee and cold coffee.
Moving on to my favourite, there was an abundance of bakes. Starting with butter cake, vanilla muffins, croissant, chocolate croissant, cinnamon rolls. My best picks were chocolate croissant, butter cake and vanilla muffin. They also serve freshly baked pan cake, crepes and waffle, which can be customized. There's Nutella, need I say more?
There's also white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, blueberry etc. They also serve hot French toast!
I'm sure I'm missing out many more items.

Service:
The staff is polite. The process are slightly on the higher side. Costed about Rs.1000 per head along with taxes, but the sheer variety makes up for it! Definitely going again.
