Great place to have your breakfast their idli and vadas were really good and their unlimited chutney is their specialty. They also have a digital kiosk from which you can place an order.
Their services are pretty quick and if you visit around 9:30-10 AM you might also find a place to sit inside.
Its pretty crowded on weekends but the services were still pretty decent and there is free street parking around as well
Absolutely worth it, the softest Idly's we ever had! The chutney is also very tasty. When you take a bite it just melts like butter.
There are many other options available on the menu as well but some of them sell out very quickly. The best recommended option is Idly Vada chutney. And the coffee as well.
Came to this famous place in malleshwaram on a Saturday morning at around 8:15 am. Tried their soft idlies with chutney and it was really amazing. Costed me just 35 INR for a plate having two pieces. Didn't get time to try their puliogare and other dishes. It is totally worth it. There is a small seating area too, luckily it wasn't that crowded when I visited. They also got an electronic kiosk for ordering.
Very famous and old place to have South Indian food. Earlier it was in a small place now they have expanded the place and have few seats to sit. It is self service place with sitting arrangements.
Recommend: Idly vade chow chow bath. They also have Shavige bath and Bisibele bath to try. And hot strong coffee to end.
The place is very well known. However I felt it was over hyped and the price is also high.
Only a lot of coconut chatni no sambar, Idli is soft but felt like a fermentation is a bit old.. the vada was very crispy..
The kesar Bhath was okay, not very sugary which is good..
Service is fast provided there is no queue during order booking
Tried veena stores idly Vada, the idly was soft and Vada was fresh and crispy. Veena store's Coffee is the best. We also bought chutney pudi which is soo good and costs 90rs for 250gms.
Bengaluru is obsessed with the tiffin ( idly / wada chutney/ kara baat etc) culture and few places come to mind, who have stood the test of time.
People flock to these places like a cult, Bengaluru is exploding with global food scene but this place with its comfort food will always have a place in Bangalorians heart.
Veena, there is nothing I did not like about this place. Wada chutney is to die for, wada fried to crispy perfection, chutney taking the flavor to the next level. Kara baat, pongal, idly chutney, coffee, it is like Messi Ronaldo mbape playing in one soccer team. One dish is superior than the previous one you tried.
Such a memorable dinner and it didn’t even have a small dent in my pocket. Extremely reasonable prices, must try in Bangalore.
My absolute fav breakfast place.. I live so far yet made it my Sunday ritual to go here and have piping hot and soft idlis, vadas, the fabulous sweet pineapple Kesari and the amazing chutney!
Veena stores is a brand in Malleswaram, one of the modern tech enhanced food place ,talk about their service is real quick as there is no bill counter just place ur order from screen.
Coming to the major part is their food, the idlis are super soft they melt in mouth and with crispy Vada it seemed to b a bit pricy as 1plate idli and Vada but worth the money and I took puliogre which is average and coffee as usual perfect.
Will come back and other varieties too!.
Going to Veena stores was long due, I heard a lot about this wonderful tiny eating joint in Malleshwaram. I must say at first long queue might scare you but believe me it doesn’t take that much time for the mighty staff of Veena stores to clear the queue. They are fantastically fast. I have become fan of their Idli-chutney & vada. Similarly fond of their chow-chow bhath. Though I heard Pulliyogere and other breakfast items are equally delicious. A must visit place in Namma Bengaluru.
Cheers!!
