I am an ardent fan of MTR. This is the best place to your lazy Sundays with good healthy food. It is not only good for morning breakfast they have a good thali system for lunch. Evenings you gotta try their shavige bath. Just a tip, go with an empty stomach because the food there is so tasty you will end up eating a lot😁
The best cooked and served South Indian dishes, don’t miss to relish the amazing food at MTR.
Well maintained and following all the rules of the government 😍
Waa craving for this since lockdown but went down yesterday and had themm
One of the very best places for South Indian food in Bengaluru. And by far the most affordable as well. And they serve ghee with the dosas, yum.
I visited this place during their lunch hours which is from 12.30 to 3.30. During this time , they only serve MTR meal which costs around 260rs per person. The entire menu is to die for. I absolutely enjoyed their welcome drink shot. The meal was yummy but their dosas are definitely something you won't forget ever.
Only thing to mention is there is always waiting line for some reason for these meals. Management have to resolve this issue.
MTR is one of the best south indian restaurants to visit. Their masala dosa and khara bath is great!
A brunch at MTR is something that is a must try. Not surprisingly, its always crowded ! Well, if you ever find yourself inside the Mavalli Tiffin Room (MTR) - never miss the thick and crisp Masala Dosa that is loaded with Ghee which definitely makes you go Awww..... Also, how can you ever miss the hot hot Gulab Jamuns at MTR ? - Love it ! ~ For more food and restaurant reviews, follow @TheHappyTummyTales on Instagram #MTR #MTRMasalaDosa #MTRGulabJamun #TheHappyTummyTales #tastyfood #recommended
Masala dosa is good..n coffee is little on the strong side.
I had the mini tiffin combo which has idly, bonda , Kara bath , kesar bath , masala dosa and a cup of coffee and all of them were mouth watering moreover the combo is priced at just 155( including tax). Perfect breakfast place and not at all heavy in the pocket. It has a got a good ambience which resembles old times and is rudimentary.
Old is Gold
You have not experienced Bangalore if you have not been to this legendary outlet. Always crowded be patient enough to wait before you get a seat. Try the Rava Idli here because they are the people who first made it! Their masala dosa and coffee is also must try.
The food is good. Quality and hygiene is definitely there. It's a little overpriced.
I didn't like the filter coffee/tea here. There are better places in Bangalore to get a good filter coffee.
Apart from that, everything is fine.
MTR Plain dosa and coffee is a must try. I forgot to photograph the filter coffee! The khara bhat and Kesari bhat are delicious too. And of course, if you’re there for lunch get yourself a mini meals or an unlimited meal.
Unique blend of taste and style of serving the best South Indian cuisine in the town. The service staff take pride in providing quality and typically delicious food with a smile.
Overall experience is very satisfying and excellent.
Hi Google users,
I had visited MTR Indranagar branch for late breakfast on 15-Aug-23. We had the below items Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Kara Bath, Kesari Bath, Rava Idli and Coffee
The best item was the Masala Dosa with the extra dollop of ghee. The masala quantity was excellent and the dosa was crunchy and yummy. The Kesari Bath was very tasty with pieces of pineapple and cashew. The coffee was strong and a great way to finish the sumptuous breakfast.
This is a must visit place for breakfast or lunch if you are in and around Bangalore Indranagar.
Regards,
Deepak.
The place retains authentic MTR taste. Curd Vada, Ghee Dosa all good. Pongal if you like the more watery type excellent. Coffee is the real winner after the food is had.
We ordered the special thali which offers 21 items and unlimited food. Just tasting each item got us full.
The legend of Bangalore.
One of the beautifully looking restaurants with its old charm and decorative interior. The interior will take you back to the old bangalore charm as well as in the present time as well.
The food is awesome a little bit pricey but keeping in mind the restaurants authenticity its okay.
The service is vary good with a smile.
It van get a bit crowded in the weekends so plan your visit accordingly.
The food was simply delicious and I was impressed with the variety and quality of dishes, the ambience of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making me feel comfortable and relaxed. What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service I received from your staff. From the warm welcome to the attentive service throughout my meal, everything was done with care and professionalism. It was evident that the team truly cares about their customers.
Found this place to be overrated. Food is good and not exceptional. Coffee was passable. Place is accessible and have decent seating capacity. Service was good.
Just had filter coffee and plain dosa, and my taste buds were satisfied to the core.
Must visit if you are from North of India to understand how a real plain dosa should taste like.
