Staff: Late response even when there is very low crowd.

Ambiance: Not recommended for hot days. They should work on keeping the temperatures comfortable.

Food: Masala dosa as always yumm. I also tried chandrahara which was way too sugar overload. The kesari bath was not as great as the one available in the indiranagar branch.

PRice: nominal

Recommendation: Yes a relief for the ones living in the whitefield area. but given a chance and time, i would definitely visit the indiranagar one.

MTR, the most iconic restaurant in Bangalore.

Mavalli Tiffin Rooms.

We had been here for Sunday's breakfast. It is inside Forum Neighbourhood Mall.

The ambience was very good and it was hygienic. Their Menu has lot of south Indian items.

We have ordered

👉 Chowchow bath
👉 Masala Dosa
👉 Vada
👉 Filter coffee

The Masala Dosa was so tasty and it was served with ghee also.
The chutney & sambar were perfect.  This is highly recommended item.

Prices are very reasonable.
Masala dosa=120, Filter coffee = 47, Chochowbath =123, Medu Vada = 55

One should go here to have authentic south Indian breakfast.
Service was good.

My rating would be 4/5.

MTR by name comes with big expectations.
Would suggest to expect simplicity in food, environment and people who come here to eat.
It's a place of not much show off and simple food with GHEE served in really cute small katoris 😄

I liked the Rava Masala Dosa here, it's less oily, crunchy to the extent required, and less oily.
So that's my fav pick from here.
You ll find a lot of sweet options here, Kesari bhat being one, it's good, but my favourite being jalebi... Jalebi is fine but only flaw is it's not served hot.. So if you are looking for the KADHAI FRESH JALEBIS.. it's not the place for you.

Ambience is basic as expected, staff is not that friendly.. but it's ok .. better not expect much in this area🙊

All in all, MTR is a must visit place in South India

Place is good for Unlimited Thali ,Masala Dosa , Bisi Bele baath and Chandrahaara.

Badam Milk is the most overpriced and not worth it , it's so diluted, doesn't even taste like real milk.

Chandrahaara is available only during Sundays.

Started back in 1924.

I love the Massala dosa here. Its absolutely mouthwatering and is quite famous. I people say it's a little overrated coz in Bangalore you do get some really tasty masala dosa in way lesser prises but i still feel very tasty and worth trying.

Coming to Bangalore, ShuddhaShakahari could not miss the authentic south Indian breakfast from MTR. The much talked about chain, we visited this outlet to get a taste of the much talked about food. We had the ghee dosa, kesaribhaat, medu wada dip and filter coffee, all of which was lip smacking delicious. The consistency of dosas and wadas is remarkable. All in all a great experience. One star less for the lack of availability of all of the menu. Else it is crazy good.

Another legendary place to be!

Best thing here, as everyone know BBB & Masale Dose🤤

The cost here is 30-40% higher than regular MTR outlets!

Don't forget to try Rave Idli, Chandrahara(which is only available on Sundays)

I had been wanting to dine at this place for a very long time. This is just about 1 km from cubbon park and the road is too beautiful, so it becomes a nice walk from there. The place is actually small, though its very old and quite famous. Food is definitely very yummy here. The butter masala dosa tastes really good. The quality of the dosa, the softness and the crispiness, the perfectly balanced potato masala etc takes this a new level. Also, here, the dosa did not have the usual red chutney. It was a green chutney inside the masala dosa which gave it a very unique flavour. The tea was ok, I did not quite enjoy it. Place is too crowded even if its 10.30 am for breakfast. Service was ok, which was understandable with the huge rush. Overall, definitely a place to try the dosa. It is slightly expensive compared to other south indian breakfast places.

The food was excellent. We had dosa and coffee. The dosa has a very crispy crust, something which I like, with thick sambhar and coconut chutney. They even served a little amount of pure desi ghee to go along with dosa. Everything was well cooked and tasty. The decor and furniture were workman like and is cleaned very thoroughy every time customer depart after consuming meal. The place seems to have a steady stream of customers for the nearly 45 minutes that we spent there. Staff were courteous and the food was on the table real quick. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality that is on offer. The only little hassle we had was with payment of bill. It was after a very long time that we were presented with bill for payment. And maybe they could have better arrangement where you can wash your hands. On the whole a very enjoyable and satisfying experience and one can understand why this place is amongst the top rated restaurants.

This was a traditional place I would not have gone by myself. The dosa was very tasty and the service was efficient. Prices are also traditional (coffee and dosa around 120 rupees). Highly recommended.

We had Masala Dosa, Pudi Dosa and Idli. Their taste was good. What surprised me was that they serve idli and dosa with a tiny bowl of ghee. I think using ghee is their specialty as you can also smell and taste ghee in dosa, as if they have been dipped in ghee. Great taste. Ample seating. Pricing could be reduced compared to other places in Bangalore which serve similar taste at around half the price. We paid 300 Rs for 3 items (masala dosa, pudi dosa, 1 idli), which is decent if you are eating it in northern India but a bit higher in Bangalore. We were very hungry so started eating immediately. Only halfway through it I realised to take a picture. Will update them when I go there again.

We liked this Branch Better than the Inception Branch. Pretty Clean Ambiance, Good Hospitality, Relatively Cleaner Utensils and The Waiter suggested some Items which blew us away. The dosas are made in much better perfection in here. You don't have to wait either, You get seats most times. From Dosas , Bonda Soup , Ravaidli, Karabath, They took time in creating such items which makes this place unique. Ofcourse the moment you enter you can feel the smell of Ghee All over.

Good place to have authentic south indian meals..went there for a sunday breakfast. Loved the idlis, chow chow bath..they give small quantity of ghee to add over idlis and dosa which adds to the taste. Parking is in a complex just next to the MTR building down the lane, which is bit congested. There was small waiting queue for morning breakfast.
