The very first Gastropub of Bengaluru, may be shutting it's doors at home, but still amazes people in Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. The spirit is amazing and the new menu has been launched here across the country and in Bengaluru, it's only until 24 of this month.
Monkey bar is where many people have had their first cocktails including me, their new cocktails with a twist to the classics are definitely amazing. Have you ever heard of Rasam Mary? Well, this even looks like a Bloody Mary too with a round masala papad on top. Adorned with pepper on the edge of the glass, rasam's roasted red chillies, vodka and Indian spices with a tinge of tomato made this cocktail messemerising. Juicy Martini, as the name says one can feel slight notes of pear and high alple notes in a normal martini. Also, one should not miss sip me tender which has citrus and run infusion,giving us a tangy flavour which is just a treat on the tongue for citrus lovers.
To start their meal, one can begin with Meen Pollichattu, which is a typical Kerala dish, where fish is fried and wrapped in a banana leaf; basically, one makes use of karimeen from the ocean, here we find it made in locally sourced fish. Onion cheese kulcha!! What more to say? Dealt with awesomeness. Panner tarkari shaslik, as fancy as it sounds, the dish looks fancy too. The Central Asian shaslik substituted with cottage cheese where soft grilled Panner has a burst of flavours. Kasundi Chicken, how many of us do not prefer a chicken tikka? This turmeric marinated meat is perfect to end your starters.
When we get into mains, we can have a Barnyard Veg Burger is a perfect delicacy for all the Vegetarians, firstly burger to bun ratio is perfect and we won't get an extra bit of bun or patty in the end. Thai style chicken is not new to us, the dish has perfected well. Gundruk prawn rice is a peppery with prawns tossed in and goes very well with the fried rice, the Vegetarian version has small peices of veggies chopped in. Well, we all love Chicken Ghee Roast, here we can have the delicious Mangalorean dish in a Bao. The consistency is perfect, where the Bao is made so well that there is no leakage of gravy from the ghee roast, this can be termed as one of the fusions executed and delicious than the original.
For Desserts, one can blindly put their bets on the amazing Eton mess.
Been there few times. Spreader across two floors, its one of the most beloved place for the pub lovers. Ambiance is very catchy. I used to love their pool table, which has been taken out off late. Menu is quite extensive covering almost all types of cuisine. I love their appetizers specially the Butterfly Chicken. Also they servers few classic but amazing cocktails.
Service is really quick and very courteous. Price is little on higher side but if you keep them for special occasions, probably you won't mind much.
The only complain I have, they shouldn't remove the pool table.
Overall I will go with 4 out of 5.

Such a nice Bar in Indiranagar really they deserve to get any time with every guest five star⭐ coz of their food and the cocktails it's really testing good. Bangalore must go experience before they shut down the place. You will have a good fun with their service too. Pork belly with manga test yummy
I love Monkey Bar Bangalore and the new additions are just yummy. I love the Indian mezze platter, esp kaddu dip. Also stuffed kulcha. I can go on and on but I'm just disappointed that monkey bar bangalore is closing it's door temporary so enjoy this place as much as you can till 24th November.
Monkey bar in all other cities will be operational, it's just Bangalore facing the loss.

The moment you step into Monkey Bar, the ambience sets you at ease. The comfortable and spacious seating, dim lighting and interesting wall decor is so appealing. The menu is good too. The varied dishes that aren't too commonly found at most places keeps it exciting. We had the berry pulao and it reminded us of lovely parsi dishes that we'd had before - mildly spiced, long-grained rice with succulent pieces of chicken. The nimbu masala fries was crispy and not oily and was well seasoned - being both tangy and spicy all at once. So far, so good.
This place is standing the test of time. The standards have not gone down with its food and funky cocktails. If you are there on a weekend evening then the DJ spins a few fun tracks to go with your drink

Excellent atmosphere to catch up with friends.
It's not too crowded.
The menu was quite interesting cos it had a mixture of different types cuisines. Was not a fan of their Irani Berry pulao though.
Had visited the Delhi branch of it years ago to try Mobar burger, then that got closed, then another in south Delhi and finally this one. I was smitten by their consistent quality. This is exactly what I Desire from all restaurants in Bangalore - consistency in whatever you make.
I visited atleast 4 times during the dineout 50% festival, and this restaurant never dissappointed. The pork ribs were just amazing except one time when it was quite tough. The glazing is amazing. The Apple crumble cheesecake was one of the best Apple desserts I've ever had. The crunch is what I yearn for. Crab rangoons are light and delectable. Churros is perfection, although I don't like it. Pulled pork & ham sandwich was a little dry, but great nonetheless.
The cheese fries were a let down, it was soggy with just a few drips of cheese. Mac n cheese croquettes was just vegetables, but tasted alright. The service is just commendable.

Been here on Sunday. Place is cozy and has a good vibe. Music was great. They played songs from 80s to latest. They have good sports screenings. Their Cocktails are amazing as mentioned. Trued their LIT which knocks you out if you have too many. Mad men cocktail was great. Tried their spicy chicken wings and loved them.Note: Only people who can eat spicy food should order this. Butterfly Chicken was great as well as Nachos. Had a hreat experience in this place.
