Fairly new place. Excellent decor and ambience. Open air. It's lovely when it rains. It's a big space. Apt for large groups. The music could be better. It's mostly empty, probably because it's very new and yet to get marketed. The menu choice is pretty extensive. They have some interesting food fusions across starters, mains and dessert. Overall satisfied with the experience!
An breathtakingly beautiful restaurant. It's a new age fusion restaurant with a predominantly north indian menu. The decor is nice and the food not only looks artistic but also tastes blissfull. Do try the dahi kebab and the gulab jamun cheese cake for dessert.
Phenomenal food. Take your comfort food and give it the Abhijit Saha twist and that is what Rocksalt is all about. The presentation and the flavors is brilliant.
The ambience is unbelievable with greens all around and that too on St.Marks road. Music loud enough to enjoy or have a private conversation. Good for corporates
Located right in the middle of the bustling streets of St marks, this rooftop restaurant takes your breath away with its ambience and extremely hygienic environment. Service was excellent, and our waiter provided many a recommendation which is always welcome.
A la carte is what we opted for, and honestly, the variety of the food could've been better. Heard the ambience is best at night, but I found it pleasant on a late afternoon as well. Rates are leaning towards the expensive side.
Food review:
Chole Pani Puri with chaas: Good, but expected more.
Sliders were average.
Naan and mushroom palak was excellent.
Fresh juices are refreshing and on point.
Desserts was very unique in presentation and a must try! Especially the CryoChocolate Ganache and the rasgulla touille.
Overall, worth a visit, would recommend. Does have room for improvement.
Brilliant ambience. Great food. Really good service. They have live music on Saturdays and it's a crime to miss that. Overall had an amazing time here. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have a good time.
Amazing place, awesome ambience, good service staff. Surprised to see the way Indian food is presented and served. Choice beers we're limited when we visited compared to the options s in the menu. Lost one star for that. Over an excellent place to hangout and have your meal with your special one/s.
I’ve passed it so often and never knew the space upstairs is so spacious and open. The ambience is pretty nice. Food was well made and not too spicy or greasy. The sweets we had, a phirni and a creme brûlée were both good. If I come back here, I’d repeat the dahi kababs ( very light) and fish tikkas ( Amritsari style, done just right.)
If you end up going to this restaurant after lunch hours around later afternoon or early evening, you get to try the Chaat Nashta Chai and Cocktail menu on offer. Just the right snacks or small plates that one would need to satisfy that early evening cravings or just spending time with friends or family. Great collection of summer special Gin based cocktails, the elderflower collins was my favorite. Pani Puri shots with a twish, chicken tikka stuffed puri's with masala chaas as the pani was excellent ! Tried a few small plates, top pics would be curry leaf chicken, Baked Kachori Chat, Beetroot cutlet, Murgh Soola Kebab and Kurkuri Bhindi ! On the dessert, do try out the Rockstar Jalebi that comes with Rabri and almond crumbi. Nice roof top ambience, fans and coolers to bring the temperature down, service is good and valet parking is available
A fusion of traditional and contemporary with fine nuances to induce exceptional flavours, textures and presentation .
A modern and elegant setup, one side overlooking the greenery, it gives you a feel of composed dining space.
FOOD 🥘🍛🥙
Started off with Dahi ke kebab... soft , melt in the mouth served with this delicious carrot coriander chutney.
If this was a depiction of subtle texture then next came banana blossom cutlet... crusty exterior and delicious filling of banana flower served with tomato chutney. The appropriate pairing of coulis with the dishes, gelled together to give a perfect melancholy of flavours on the palate and also applauds chef’s expertise.
Smoked naan pizza was the Indian take on the Italian and did every bit justice to the latter.
Baked samosa had a delicate crust served with yoghurt and chutney foam giving a fancy twist but somehow did not please much.
It was such an overwhelming treat with the starters that I chose to go light on the main course. Sindhi sai bhaji had a homely feel; paired with garlic naan. Appreciate the texture of naan which was not stretchy/chewy but soft.
I did not went ahead with the desserts since I was was so full by the end of the meal. Having said that, I do not mind at all paying a visit another time to taste more of this delicious sojourn.
Food- 4/5
Ambience- 5/5
Service- 5/5
Value for money- 4/5
The food I tried was good. The vacuum fried chips and dips were my favourite along with the desserts. The coconut one and the creme brulee are a must try.
I just loved this place. The ambience is great with a modern decor and is soothingly lighted. The place is spacious and gives privacy to the patrons. I went on a saturday night and enjoyed my time over there. There was live music and the singer was taking requests from the audience as well. The food also was really good.
What do you do when you walk into a beautiful restaurant by the name ROCK SALT and find out you have barged into a private party of a soft launch with just invitees . My husband Sunny and I beat a hasty retreat by saying we are Vegans ( which we are). They would have none of it and invited us to sit down. What happened during the course of time was that we were served a gastronomic feast of one of the most delicious Vegan feast I have ever had and that too specifically prepared for us on the spot. I am not elaborating the dishes as it would take pages. But no words can be enough to thank the care and hospitality to we uninvited guests .
This is a Chique, Evolved and A must visit place in Bangalore. If they serve Vegan food in this style and quality, I can with all confidence say their Menu will be top notch.
I could only upload 3 pictures.
Started with PANI PURI with jal jeera and tomato
Crispy fried Okra
Papads with Papaya relish and Chilly chutney
Watermelon juice with a touch of Rock salt .
Virgin Sangria
Dal Thadka
Palak Mushrooms
Vegetable Stew
Rotis
And the most Divine Coconut and Chocolate ice cream made powdery with liquid nitrogen.
Thank you team ROCK SALT for gifting us such a beautiful experience . Can't wait till we visit again this time with friends and family.
This all happened because our flight was cancelled and we had to spend overnight in Bangalore. I call this serendipity.
Great ambience, the Staff, the Mixologist, Food presentation and the DJ.. All make it a great evening.. the place is called RAAHI now.. I would definitely come back.. Gets pretty crowded and loud after 9:30PM..
Very nice ambience... Good innovative plating... And drinks was decent as well... Could have more veg Indian options ... But most of the items were pretty nice.... .............
The food was very good here... perfect butter chicken. The fusion cocktails Areva must try. Great ambience and service. Looking forward to visiting again...
One of new favorite for Fusion Indian food. Airy and breezy terrace restaurant paired with cheerful staff and yummy food. Must try - Pizza naan, Mushroom starters, Daal makhani and garlic naan.
Great desert as well. Must try Jalebi rabri and Gulab jamun cheesecake(less sweet and full of flavours).
Great food, great ambience, excellent presentation and service. Good for families. Well spread out seating.
Another feather on the cap from Mr.Abhijit Saha. Modern Indian food with a great hospitality and ambience. I had been at the Sindhi food festival and the set meal was just fabulous. Truly enjoyed
Nice north Indian food. Reservations recommended. Quick to moderate service. Appreciable ambience. Separate smoke area.
