Review Chinita Real Mexican Food Koramangala - Bengaluru

Damn! This place is legit! I’ve lived in California for about a decade and have had many Mexican meals during my time there. Chinita really comes up in my top 3 best Mexican food I’ve ever had. We tried their Nachos, tamarindo drink and the red pepper soup. The food and service was 10/10. Absolutely no complaints or anything flaws to pick at all. Then we proceeded to order the mains - we ordered the rice bowl with the beans on the side. The waiter happily obliged. Our food came to our table in good time, presented well and was delicious. The feel of this place takes me back to a taqueria in San Diego. Very cozy and simple. I only wish they had valet parking since that street is a quite crowded. Overall a great find and will be back for more.

Chinita never fails a Mexican craving. Best quesadillas, traditional mexican beans gravy topped Nachos/Tortilla chips will always be my suggestion. tried new sour dough sandwich ranges and enchiladas- above average rating. ps: their burrito bowl and taco are usually above average while a pocket friendly options but didn’t get scope this time:)

We tried the grilled tacos (chicken tinga) which were overloaded and so yum. Also tried the pulled pork enchiladas which was super cheesy and delicious. For dessert, we tried the Mexican style churros. We tried the almond rice drink which we didn't like at all, the organic iced coffee was good. Overall great food and service by the kindest staff. Ambience is decent but could have been better. Must try- grilled tacos and enchiladas

Real mexican 🇲🇽 food... I feel this tag line is definitely true.. My experience in Chinita was really good. Ambience was classic, simple but pleasant. Food was definitely new and had unique mexican taste.. Service was fast and satisfactory. Nachos(we tried jackfruit carne asada) and Enchiladas(we tried mushroom and spinach) are must recommend. We tried Churros and grilled corn 🌽 as well. They were definitely good but not worth the hype we see on Instagram. Drinks 🍸 were also good. You can try Virgin Margarita 🍹. I found it really good. Definitely visit the place once👌 💯

Good place for Mexican food. This is located in a busy one-way street and parking will be a challenge. This is on first floor.

Been to the Indiranagar outlet before. As it’s clear from the good reviews, go here for good Mexican. Lovely food. Hot chocolate, nachos and bowl were amazing. I loved the Burrito bowl with mushrooms (loaded!!) especially. Good portion size of this.. not sure why other reviews complained of portion size, the burrito bowl is hearty and filling. Just a tad unhappy about the churros which looked more like murukku than happy Mexican delights. Nevertheless, this would be my preferred go to place for Mexican until I get bored with it.

Food is slightly on the expensive side. Food is brilliant. Beef Quesadilla is brilliant. The pork and chicken taco is so crispy. They also have a mango drink it's a must try during the mango season. Churros were average.

I ordered a grilled chicken burrito bowl, chicken tinga taco (i opted for 1 soft and 1 crispy tortilla) and churros. The staff, the service and the food was good. But I expected the food to be a bit more spicy and tangy. You can ask for the green chilli salsa, which is quite spicy. The drink was refreshing and nice.

Chinita is an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Its not like California burrito or TacoBell where they serve localised version of Mexican dishes. Chinita has only proper Mexican food on their menu. The Menu comprises of Mexican drinks, salads, starters, Main course, and Mexican desserts. There are only 2 kinds of soups in the menu. Don’t go to this restaurant searching for Indian food . I went for chef suggested dishes. Tortilla mushroom salad, Mexican chicken soup, Burrito bowl, Chicken Enchilada Main . The dishes were appropriately spiced based on Indian taste pallette. The main hotness of the food were from jalapeños. All the dishes tasted very good and the flavours were not overpowering. It will seem that they were just out of a Mexican house. We also got a complimentary nachos dish. There is food for everyone (for all ages) in their menu. Pocket pinch is on the higher side. You have to shell out ₹600 or more per person to have a stomach full of food, excluding the drinks and desserts. There is a handwash and a washroom at this place. Both the handwash and the washroom was very very clean. There is no dedicated parking at this place , but your can park your car on the adjacent road. Parking in this area is a pain.

The vaiety is good and the taste was pretty good. A chill place to grab an afternoon snack. I loved the tacos while the Soyrizo Enchiladas were okayish so wouldn't recommend. Drinks were a bit bland but overall the food was good.

Amazing food! Grilled Taco are must try! Burrito is good as well. Churros are thin but crisp! I didn't like Almond Horchata! Maybe you need to acquire taste for it.

I have been Chinita Indiranagar circa 2014 and this outlet felt like a letdown. The food was generally good, however it didn’t measure like Mexican. The quesadillas tasted more like rotis. The nachos were yum and good. The pambazos were okay at best. the place was not very crowded around 9pm. chinita should definitely step up their experience.

Very good Mexican Joint. Ticks a few key points. - Great Grilled Tacos - Pan Seared Prawns and the soyrizo were just right - Good service/ recommendation by staff (Pintu) - Good, simple and clean ambience Highly recommended.

The service was totally amazing! The boys are very well trained and give out a heartfelt smile every time! Visited after a while and observed the Vegan Menu has grown! So many options to choose from now and truly amazing food :) Highly recommended, Vente Pa'ca!

Had the corn appetizer, chicken enchiladas, grilled prawn tostadas and ended the meal with a sweet, bitter and smoky flan. Really loved everything but the flan is literally so tasty! If you like egg custard sweet dishes, do try their flan :) Also do request for their spicy green chili sauce/salsa, it is delicious with a hint of spice :) Drinks were not on the level of the food tho, really heavily flavoured and syrupy imo.

The restaurant serves one of the best tacos in Bangalore. The taste is yummy but the portions are small for the price. The Chilli chocolate cake is also very tasty.

I have both eaten in the restaurant and ordered for delivery. The taste is fairly authentic but the portions are peony for the price. Also I had ordered Tacos and cauliflower tostada today. Had specifically added a note to send everything separately even for tacos as i like hard shelled tacos. They were still sent filled up and were all soggy when we got them. The chickpeas in the cauliflower tostada were completely raw. These things are non-negotiable, especially when the prices are so high. I have received better delivery even from California Burrito. Tostadas are literally like papad, so it feels stingy to send two tiny ones. You can easily add another one at least because the filling was sufficient for three.

I was very disappointed with the churros, they were raw and doughy inside. The carnita pork was flavorless and all the dishes had an obscene amount of green chilli, which was just eye watering, with no depth to flavor.
The horchata was surprisingly refreshing. However I think service suffered the most after the lockdown. The staff is either heavy handed with the chilli or omit it entirely. I had to send two dishes back for being too spicy and not having any spice at all.
I had planned for a takeout order too during my visit, but I decided not to, since most dishes had the same ingredients in a few delivery methods. I missed the complexity and differences in dishes. If I wanted production line fare, I'd stick to california burrito.
Overall, I left feeling a little disappointed at what I felt was a missed opportunity

A Good place for some real good Mexican food. Do try the quasedillas. The tortillas are good too. The ambience is alright for casual dining.
Priyanka
churros were very very average..chocolate chill cake was pathetic and horrible...never buy desserts from chinita..
Its just like wasting the money
Namitha Parthasarathi
Mexican lovers who were depending on only taco bell, here is your salvation.. chinita brings all the flavours of Mexico to Bangalore with substantial portions. The nachos plate is more than enough for two people who have an average appetite. Their must have includes the hot chocolate, the almond horchata, the guacamole and the grilled tacos. I liked the desserts but it didn't match up to the starters or the mains. And I found the seats a tad bit uncomfortable. But all in all a wonderful experience.
Abhilash Pillai
Had a poor experience on delivery.
1. Grilled chicken tacos was not grilled.
2. Enchiladas was extremely low in quantity and was cold

Didn’t get a response from the restaurant.

Hope Samir and Candace can look more into the quality of food served at the restaurant more carefully.

Had to waste the food

Beef Quesadilla - I tried this by a friend's recommendation. However coming from Kerala where we like our beef spiced up, this was a let down as the Quesadilla was bland and after a certain point of time, we were craving for some flavors! But that cannot be called a flaw in itself as someone who likes bland food would have loved it! After all Quesadillas aren't Indian.

The hot chocolate was in fact better than most. You can give that a try. The staff recommended a tamarind drink which was in great taste. In the first sip, very many flavors shot past our taste buds and the drink grew on us! While here, do ask for the tamarind drink!

Found this place on Zomato when I was searching for places specializing in Mexican food. This place surpassed all expectations! The food was hot, hearty and used the best ingredients. The flavours were amazing. They even have Horchata! It's a delicately flavoured rice and almond cold beverage, and I'd only heard it in a song (actually that's what made me try it). It complemented the spicy food perfectly. I'm very sure I'm going to find myself there very often!
Nivedan Rathi
Their flavours are an absolute indulgence!

We ordered a tortilla chips with guacamole and a grilled tacos plate. Soo good!

I wasnt aware such a restaurant existed...I accompanied a close friend who is a Mexican cuisine fan.

I liked the food very much even though we were able to try only 3 dishes..But the food was very good...The Almond Horchta was matter of curiosity for me..It was simply awesome, a medley of flavours in a drink i have not had before. The tacos were well-presented and the taste was good as well...The bowl was my friend's as I am not very fond of beans and avoid them.

The ambience is too minimalistic..I think that can do with an improvement.

The redeeming feature of this place is its food and to a certain extent the service. All the 4 stars are for that.

Have you been to the best Mexican Restaurant in Bangalore ?
Well now they accept Zomato Gold also.

In picture :
1. Grilled Chicken Tacos

Taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a tortilla folded around a filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including vegetables, cheese and meat like seafood, pork, beef and chicken. Tacos are often garnished with salsa, chilli, pepper, avacodo, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, onions and lettuce.

I was trying out Tex Mex food and I read about Chinita, today i went to Chinita and I was the first customer as i came early, I ordered for a Burrito Bowl and a Tacos with Bean and Cheese. I was disappointed that the Tacos were actually soft Tacos and the toppings are very tasteless and the sour cream is disgusting. The Burrito Bowl is a big letdown as the toppings were hindering the taste of the rice, It was eating a diet edition of Mexican Food, I prefer eating Burritos and Bowls in Taco Bell & California Burrito any day and they are tasty and cheap in price. An average meal with Taco, Burrito, Drink Combo would cost me Rs. 200. For buying a two tacos and a Burrito Bowl i ended up paying Rs. 676, with that amount i would have eaten more tacos and burritos in Taco Bell. If you want to eat Mexican or at least Tex Mex either try out restaurants abroad or Fast Food joints. Not these kind of restaurants run by amateur local start ups.

I have no freaking idea why this place is super expensive.
The portions they serve are really small compared to the bomb they charge.
Ambience really needs improvement.
Service was the only thing we found decent enough.
Each dish is priced on an average around 400rs.
Really not worth it.
Better to check out other options for Mexican..

Got to taste some authentic Mexican food here. A bit different from the Mexican food served at other places in terms of being very close to authenticity. Our order was Chicken Nachos, Enchiladas, Beef Tacos , all the items with the appropriate amount of sauces tasted good. For drinks we ordered for almond horchata and fresh lime soda which were refreshing.

It's a nice and refreshing to taste a different cuisine and thats what brought me over here. The interiors are just fine, with the seating space abundant from my perspective. Coming to the service, it's good but can be improved upon. The food tastes great but I feel the portions served need to be looked at again, too little for my stomach. Price is on the higher side and I would still recommend this place for people looking for variety when it comes to food like myself.

Delicious and authentic mexican food! But more than the food, I loved the service. Our server was super nice and helpful with the menu, recommending dishes for us and making friendly conversation. Would love to visit again!

I was craving for some authentic Mexican food and it really surprises me that in an area like Koramangala, there are very joints that offer exclusively Mexican food. Anyway i had been to Chinita in Indiranagar sometime back and i found the experience over there to be average. I was hoping this place would be better. The place has minimalistic ambience but is quite spacious with long tables and benches ideal for big groups. The menu as expected offers only Mexican food. They have nachos, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and tosadas. Now for vegetarians like me, already the options are limited. It becomes even more disappointing when none of the toppings you want are available. I wanted to order tacos with zucchini or mushroom filling. Both were out of stock. I was forced to order pepper and onion topping as the other option available, soya and potato did not sound appealing. Even for the enchiladas and nachos i had to order thd same thing! The nachos had too much beans in them and not enough cheese and were a little too spicy for me. I wanted guacamole but even that was out of stock! The tacos with crisp shell were decent in taste. The enchiladas were also decent. The main problem was everything had the same topping of pepper and onion which became boring after some time. The beverages did not seem to be too appealing as there was only hot coffee and chocolate, and some mocktails. It would have been nice if they had some variety of cold coffee and milkshakes to go with the spicy food. In desserts they have only two, being the churros and chocolate chili cake. We ordered the churros. The taste was light and good on its own. It was served with dark chocolate sauce which was bitter and not a good combination with the churros. They should offer more options in therms of sauces like milk chocolate, white chocolate etc. All in all a disappointing experience.

Didnt like the ambience. The food was not upto the mark for the price

Quite authentic Mexican here. My requests to not add cheese and sour cream to the order items was well taken care of. Bacon sandwich was good. Really filling and so were the Tacos :)

Wow, can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Chinita yet!

Must have been here over dozens of times over the last few years. After last week’s dinner – I realized I haven’t reviewed it yet.

Well, having said that – now you know that this place is one of my all-time favorites. Best thing – they have a bunch of vegan options with cashew cheese!

Their staff is very kind, very polite and attentive. Ambiance is super chilled out, nothing too fancy, but pleasant 😊

Tried several things off this menu – everything (except one) has always been great.

What we ate last week –

1. Chinita salad – veg

2. Burrito Bowl – Mushroom (one of my absolute favorites)

3. Grilled tacos – chicken

4. Tacos – Carnitas (Pork)

5. Fresh Lime

6. Diet Coke

What I’ve eaten before and have absolutely loved –

7. Tortilla Chips with salsa and guacamole

8. Grilled Tacos – Mushroom (another one of my out and out favorites)

9. Bean and Cheese Tostada – (Mindblowing)

10. Almond Horchata (was average – not brilliant)

11. Enchilada – Mushroom and Spinach (Dissapointing)

12. Tofu Mole (not bad)

13. Mexican Spiced Hot Chocolate (heavenly)

14. Churros (supremely yummy)

Always a pleasant experience coming here 😊

I wouldn't recommend trying a drink here. I did not enjoy it at all.

The nachos had lots of beans (rajma), couldn't get the taste of beef. But it was okay.

The soft tacos (pork) was heaven!!!! It totally made up for everything. It was so delicious and juicy. Not too spicy or tangy. Not at all tangy, thank goodness! This is highly recommended.

You can use Dineout but there's not a very high discount. No Gold privilege here.

Subtile defines what it is. Really nice mexican food, with quick and courteous service. I loved the guacamole here, fresh avacado and rich in flavour
Everything we ate was upto the mark.
Visited this restaurant on a whim since my girlfriends and I decided we felt like trying some good Mexican cuisine on a lazy Sunday evening.

Ambience:
A little disappointed on this front. However, it’s a simple open layout that has simplistic decor reminiscent of Mexican food.

Food:
We ordered a corn and zucchini burrito bowl, a braised pork burrito bowl, grilled chicken burrito bowl, a chicken enchilada and flan.

Appearance wise, it was a little underwhelming, if we’re being completely honest. Although, the taste did make up for the lack of presentation. The flavour grows on you and one can imagine themselves craving this bowl on a random day as comfort food. The chicken enchilada wasn’t as good as we expected. The flan was caramelised to perfection and was a wonderful way to finish off our meal.

Service:
A little on the slower side, especially since the restaurant wasn’t as crowded. Unsure if they’re understaffed or new recruits. So, there is definitely scope to improve things on that front. Servers are friendly and polite.

Overall experience:
Would probably visit again, if not for anything else, the burrito bowls and flan.
Deserves a ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5!

Chinita Real Mexican Food

I have explored many places in Bengaluru in search of authentic Mexican food, I had real Mexican food in san Diego earlier and wanted to see if there is restaurant which could come close to that and every time, I was crestfallen. I was having a discussion with a foodie friend of mine and she told me about this restaurant Chinita . This was started by a couple who travelled to Mexico to learn Mexican culinary art and after they came back, they dined at several Mexican restaurants to returned completely disheartened that what people have been selling in the name of Mexican food. This made them start Chinita Real Mexican Food. Every dish here is properly crafted in a Mexican way. My friend asked me to make a reservation in advance if I was going over the weekend and I truly enjoyed every dish I ordered

My Take on Food

Virgin Margarita (4/5) - This drink comes with a salt rim and that adds a nice kick to this drink. My personal fav from their mocktail menu and this is a must try

Grilled Corn (3.5/5) – The pics are very appetizing and that’s the reason I ordered this. Its good for clicking pictures rest aside its just grilled sweet corn with cheese and chilly powder

Chicken Nachos (5/5) – The best nachos I have had in whole of Bengaluru. They are loaded with meat and kidney beans along with cheese and cream. Everyone were completely indulged in this dish and it goes really well with guacamole and salsa they provide

Grilled Beef & Prawn Tacos (5/5) – The perfect Mexican Taco I have been craving for very long came to an end when I Had my first bite of these 2 tacos. The taco shell was perfectly crisp with generous amount of meat filling. I am a taco person and I make sure I at least have a portion of tacos here every time I visit them

Choclate Chilli Cake (4/5) – The idea of spicy dessert for me was again at a Mexica restaurant in USA. You get the chocolaty tasty initially and get spicy after taste which makes it a truly unique experience and will make you keep asking for more. Do not miss this dessert from their menu

If you are someone who loves or want to try Mexican, this is the place to be in Bengaluru. They have unlimited offers running on Tuesdays and If you are person with a hefty appetite then you should opt for this. The staff here are well trained and can explain you about the items in the menu if you have no clue. I personally recommend Nachos, Grilled Tacos, Burritos and Choclate Chilli Cake

Verdict

Taste 4,5/5

VFM 4/5

Ambience 3.5/5

Service 5/5

Qty – 4/5

Overall 4.5/5

This place is good overall if you are trying to find authentic Mexican food. Go for tacos(grilled). Churros are not bad, needs to be thicc"er".

A little hard to find place in busy Koramangala street but they got really good Mexican food. It has decent cafe like ambience. Its not much crowded usually. Nachos and quesadillas are outstanding and dips are unique and amazing. You might find quantity less for the price. But quality of food is something you won't be disappointed with.

For the Mexican food and tacos lover it's a great place to visit with friends and family. Super friendly staff and will welcome you with a good smile. About food worth money and interior was also good. And yess choice of music is also great.

When I stepped into Chinita on a recent Tuesday afternoon, I immediately realized why I have been hearing buzz about the place.

It's nice. Yeah pretty nice. Bang for a Buck? Idk
But the cute little 36daysoftype artworks and plants on the wall make it a nice place to sit.

It's expensive? Yes. But great for a get-together lunch.
They stuff everything that can be possibly stuffed into a Taco, so definitely try that.

And yeah the place looks so much better at night.
Adíos.

If you are looking for Mexican cusines then this is the place for you. Located in the food hub kormangala. This place has a decent crowd. I had tried quesadillas, enchiladas n Mexican rice bowl. I loved enchiladas I would rather say must try. It was something different with a peculiar taste. Service is good ambience is minimal. But the prices are in the higher side.

Went there for dinner on a weekday. The ambience isn't great but good though for a nice meal. Coming to the food, ordered a Quesadilla, Tacos and a Burrito bowl. The Quesadilla and Tacos were authentic and tasty. Really liked it. The burrito bowl could use some improvements though. The churros were amazing. Wish the portions were a bit bigger for the price. Overall a good meal.

Great food, cool relaxed ambience, smart and attentive staff and quite reasonable. Loved their enchiladas and quesadillas. Their signature tamarind drink is wow.

Go to place for all cravings Mexican

Most people know by now that Chinita serves the best Mexican in town and the outlet in Koramangala is no different. I'm in love with their dips in particular, esp the spicy salsa and guacamole. I also love the fact that their tacos have an authentic feel to it with the right amount of corn wheat unlike other places whete it's substituted for flour.

And ofcourse love the churros, only wish they increased the seving size a little bit.
The-A-Team
My friend was in town, and we landed in Chinita to experiment Mexican food.

Overall I would rate Chinita 3.5/5

Staff courtesy and ambience - 3.5/5

To drink- rating 3/5
Iced cafe con leche - cold coffee
Almond horchata - almond rice based drink

To eat - overall rating for food 3.75 /5

Mango salsa - this was our favourite among all that we ordered, we wish the portion was a little more 4.5/5

Grilled beef tostada - was quite tasty 4/5

Chicken enchiladas - this was too tomatoey for me and I wasn't a great fan of this 2.5/5

Churros - thin churros served along with chocolate sauce was good 3.5/5

If you are looking for a place to satisfy your Mexican food cravings then look no further! Chinita is about as authentic as they come! Their decor is minimal but the French windows lend an air of openness and makes for a nice view!
As for their food we had the chips and guacamole, grilled chicken quesadilla, braised pork tacos and the grilled chicken burritos! The portion size on all the main course items were decent, neither too large nor too small. The guacamole was as fresh as they come and had a bit of a spicy kick to it! I wish they were a little more generous with their guacamole portions! The pork was cooked to perfection and was flavorful! I like the quesadilla as it had a bit of a crunch to it and was approved by the kids! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone 😊

A definite ‘must go to’ place. My entire dining experience gets better every time I visit. From the initial meet and greet by the friendly staff to the delicious mouth watering options, from the extensive menu. Without a doubt- each dish has the wow factor we all expect when eating out.

Booked a table for a get - together with my friends. Enjoyed a lot. The service is excellent and the staff is courteous. The food was also great.

Find The Best Dishes to Try without Fail

Nachos,

Quesadillas,

Enchiladas,

Burritos,

Tostadas,

Churros.

Personal Rating:-Food- 5/5, Ambience- 5/5, Service- 5/5, VFM- 5/5.

The food was good, but it most definitely was not authentic. The nachos were tasty enough but the burrito was packed with ingredients but still somehow lacked flavor. And none of it tasted like real Mexican food. They used kidney beans instead of the usual black or pinto which makes a huge difference in taste and feel. I don’t know if there’s better Mexican food in Bangalore but if that’s the best...

Chinita Real Mexican food

True to its name, this maxican eatery on the 5th block in Kormangala delivers promising choices in terms of real Mexican food. Not too gaudy in terms of its decoration, and amply spacious, with a hospitable staff and a decent quantity of food are the first few things that caught my eye.

We started with the Mexican Horchata. Slightly creamy in its flavor, this drink with its well mashed blend of rice and cinnamons was quite refreshing.

Next in line was the Quesadilla, a popular Mexican dish whose popularity has lead to several widespread inauthentic versions of it. Here, in Chinita, we were pleased to taste a mild yet honest Quesadilla, with all the ingredients, right from the meat to the cheese in its rightful proportions.

Next, we had the grilled corn cobs, which topped my list of favorite dishes. The peppery taste to the well grilled corns with a cheesy layer of warm along with a pinch of paprika was quite scrumptious. It served the purpose of an appetizer.

For our main course, we had the Chicken Mole and Enchiladas. The Chicken mole with its mexican sauce with a hint of dark chocolate was quite overpowering to the taste buds that were mellowed down by the salsa fresca. All the components, including the Cilantro rice played well as complements to each of the opposing flavors.

Enchilladas would be our least favourite dish for the evening, for the flavor of the tomato puree was extremely tangy and over-the-top. The sour cream tried but failed to serve its purpose.

Overall , we had a nice dining experience and will definitely come back for better Enchilladas and surely for chocolate chili cake ..

Cheers !.
Was drawn to this place on the recommendation of a friend. The place is decent enough but their try on Mexican food is somewhat lacking.
I ordered:
1) Hot chocolate with mexican spice: The hot chocolate was really good. Not too thick nor too thin, but the spice they pit on top was somehow a miss.. It came in way of fully enjoying the drink. A bit of sugar and bit of dark chocolate syrup would have been better in my opinion
2) Grilled Taco: my absolute favorite out of the dish i ordered.. The tacos were a bit oily from the frying but the stuffing inside were really lip smacking delicious. Loved the pico sauce they provided alongside as well..
3) Enchiladas: was a bit sour for my taste. But the meat was really tender and juicy. Didn't need to chew much. It just melted away.. The wrap around the meat were a bit raw.. But still eatable.
4) Churros: was most disappointed after seeing the size.. Wanted a bit more thickness. And the cinnamon taste was truly lacking..
P. S: Try their Mango Salsa, it's really amazing. Truly balanced between the sweetness of mango, tanginess of lemon and heat of chillies. Will really swirl your taste for sure.
Overall nice place to visit if you are craving Mexican but would suggest keeping your orders to tacos or burritos, in my opinion

This place has got really good Mexican food. The music and ambience was great. The place was not much crowded. Staff was good.. To talk about the food here.. Nachos and quesadillas were outstanding, churros were very thin.. Did not find them up to mark, the filling in the tacos had left a bitter taste, something had gone wrong..
The sauces were good

Chinita is the “Real” deal when it comes to Mexican food here in Bangalore. The Nachos were exemplary and refined, the tacos were delicious, the burritos was just huge and quite tasty too. Totally would recommend.
Shana Abraham
The food was good. The vibes are good. The staff is good. Only thing amazing were the CHURROS. definitely a must try . Loved every single bite of it
Nilay Shah
I loved the ambiance here. The songs they played were amazing. The staff and service are really good.
The food is great. There is only one improvement which I like to suggest. They kidney beans gave a very Indian taste considering the 'Real Mexican food' in name.
Everything else was on point.

A very average experience! We ordered a burrito, a quesadilla and churros, and only the burrito could live up to our expectations. Lots of places in and around Koramangala serve way tastier quesadillas, unlike the very flour fried ones that we ate here. The quantity of the churros was also disappointing!

Went to this place for a quick dinner loved there tamarind drink a lot and the food ordered was equally good. We ordered quesadilla, mushroom and spinach enchiladas, soyrizo burrito bowl and Virgini margarita.

Nice ambience with a simple decor yet eye catching. Hanging greeneries with wall papers of Ancient Mexican markets are just wonderful. This was my first visit here and fell in love with the food. Just amazing. We had chicken nachos, their suggested grilled tacos and burrito bowl. No complain. Finished with the churros which needs to be more crunchy. Service was okay and staffs are extremely courteous. Only suggestion is 10% service charge is too much if we compare with the quality of service. So Less 1* for this.

I will recommend this place if you are a Mexican food lover. You will get the Authentic taste here.

Food - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Ambience - 4.5/5
Value for Money - 4/5

Decent place. Nothing extraordinary for the prices on the menu. Zomato gold would be good to have if visiting this place, else it will burn a hole in the pocket. Caramel custard is awesome. Ambience is more like a hangout place for college crowd

I'm from New York and every time I visit India I miss Mexican food. I was happy to stumble upon this gem! Tacos taste authentic and the salsas are deliciously spicy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there are so many vegan options here! They have vegan cashew cheese, too. They should advertise these on the menu though.

Nice ambiance. Good food. Good quantity. Good quality. But food is quite expensive. Maybe you can start off with zomato gold. That'll help. Churros are love.

4 is a generous rating, because of the laid back ambience and service.
The food was just about average and limited options for vegetarians. At one point of the time we wanted to leave and head to some other restaurant, but stayed because we were really craving for Mexican food.

Food is really nice and the portion size is quite generous. So make sure you go there when your hunger is raging or you may have to share your plate with someone!

It's always a good time in Chinita. Good music, very minimal decor, has a very canteen kinda feel but the food hits every right note. The burrito bowls are great, especially the soyrizo one. The staff are courteous and service is great!

Very tasty Mexican food. Excellent service by the staff. Food was served with grace and quick. Simple and neat restaurant. Must try for anyone who is interested in Mexican food. The music too is Mexican and the crowd is decent.

Had been here on a Tuesday evening for dinner. I must say this was the best Mexican food I have ever had!! Not to forget to mention on the extremely polite staff. So is the ambience welcoming and pleasant.

Absolutely must go. Decently laid out seating, lots of natural light, great service and fantastic food!

I had the Almond Horchata, which is a beautifully made beverage with almonds and rice. It was musky and refreshing.

The Chinita vegetarian salad was mind blowing. The vegetables were super fresh, the queso dressing perfect, and the fried tortilla just up’d it a notch.

Service was great, very accommodating and polite. Sobir, especially was extremely attentive and considerate.
Guess a bit expensive for the food... Food didn't seem fresh. Place is nice and warm. Hygienic.. But menu is not so big.. same times different presentations..

We wanted to find a nice place for MEXICAN food in Bangalore and we had a lot of positive reviews on Chinita so we decided to try it out.

What we had:

- Soyrizo Quesadilla – We weren't not much of Quesadilla or Soy fan – but with this dish changed my outlook- I loved the look of the plate, all the textures, flavours and the taste of this dish
- Grilled Corn (Sweet corn the cobs with cheese & chilli powder) was amazing as well. Couldnt stop eating it.
- The Chicken Nachos - Rightly done. Generous toppings and portion size.
- Chinita Prawn Salad - Very flavourful. An absolute must try.
- Grilled Beef Tostadas - crisp corn tortillas stuffed with grilled tender beef and cheese served with pico de gallo
- Braised Pork Soft Shell Taco - lip smacking generous chunks of tender pork
- Grilled Taco (roasted Pork) - Delicious!
- Flan - Similar to Caramel custard, we loved it.
- Churros - the churros were some of the best I have ever had
- Chocolate Chilli Cake -Sweet chocolate pudding on the outside with a hint of chili in every bite. One of the must eats.

The quantity served is quite good. Coming to the service, it’s spot on and the best. They really do go out an extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable and well tended to. Overall, a great experience and worth every penny spent

From outside, I thought it is some small joint which is not so crowded during lunch hours.
But I was wrong.. it was crowded with customers waiting.
The ambience is not so great, simple decor.
The food taste very authentic and free of harsh chemicals.
I ordered chicken quesadilla and Chicken Taco. Both, were very tasty.
Good place to visit if one wish to have Mexican food. It stays true to its name.

Order soyrizo burrito bowl and was overwhelmed by the amount of soyrizo and other toppings on it, the amount of rice was less comparatively. Also didn't like the roasted cauliflower tacos. Tostadas with guac were good though.

This place serves amazing Mexican food! Their tacos are brilliant. As are their enchiladas. My favourite version is with pork carnitas. Anything with the carnitas, be it the burritos, tacos or enchilada tastes out of this world. Pretty close to authentic Mexican food. I could eat here everyday and not tire!

This place is truly all Mexican! The food and service is really good. We tried the horchata, quesadillas, enchiladas and churros and it was perfect and the service was quick too.

On the first floor of the busy 5th block road in Koramangala, a place you can get authentic Mexican. Good break from the usual stuff. The place is spacious, not too comfortable though. Don't expect too much from the beans too :P

One of the finest places in Bangalore. The chicken nachos is so delicious. The Chocolate Chili cake is a must try. The after taste of the chilli is so beautiful. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.

Visited the Koramangala branch for the first time. Service was excellent. Food was very good and quite filling.

We had the quesadillas, crisp tacos (both excellent), enchiladas (okay, sort of like a weak lasagna), and nachos (tasted like rajma, but not in a bad way). The chicken in these dishes was delicious - roasted and soft.

Churros for dessert were superb. Enjoyed my meal overall and would definitely visit again.

I loved the Chinita outlet in Indiranagar and was craving Mexican food so this time I headed for the Koramangala outlet. The food here is amazing as expected. The ambience is great. The overall set up looks clean and hygienic. Our server Mr. Tanka was extremely prompt, courteous with his service. He served food with a vibrant smile on his face. Made the experience even more pleasant. I have tried crispy tacos, quesidillas, burrito bowls and entchilladas. Everything was delectable.
It is a must try and must recommend on my list.

Wanted it try this place cause I like Mexican food and it does serve authentic Mexican food.
Decent ambience with spacious seating and nice Mexican music playing. Service was good. I especially liked how our server pronounced the dishes correctly.

Tortilla chips and salsa
The chips and salsa were quite good but the pico de gallo was a show stealer, really good.

Mushroom grilled taco
The tacos were filled well with the veggies as well as the cheese so I really enjoyed it.

Grilled chicken burrito
The burrito was really big, fulfilling and satisfying. Filled generously with rice, cheese, chicken and everything else.

Almond horchata
Ordered it to get an essence of a traditional Mexican beverage. But to be honest, it did not really impress me. Felt a little bland and watery.

Flan
The flan felt a little too sweet to me. I think if it were a Kittel less sweet and more fluffy, I would have really liked it.

Churros (I had them at the Indiranagar branch)
The first time I had churros, and they seemed perfect to me. Just the right amount of sweet, soft, tender. Really liked them.

Food - 4/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Overall - 4.5/5

I am gonna come here again and recommend this to everyone who likes or wishes to try Mexican food.

My favourite place for authentic Mexican food. Located in a nice area in Koramangla, this place has the best chicken nachos I have ever had. They’re so good that they make me want to cheat on my diet very frequently. Chicken Nachos, Quesadillas, Tacos, Salad, Burritos, Rice Bowls and the amazing Churros. I have had almost everything on their menu. Here are some pictures for you guys.

Eating at new places and trying new food has been a hobby for me. Hence Mexican food is what we decided to try and with such high rating Chinita,Koramangala was surely our first preference. Ambience nothing too fancy but spacious with mexican music being played. The staff were really polite and helpful. Talking about the food it was well cooked with appropriate flavours and quantity. We surely didnt walk out with a dissapointed :)
food that we ordered -
1) Chicken enchilada

2) burrito bowl braised pork - twas heavy and healthy with pork chunks all over it. A must try.

3) tostados soyrizo and roasted zucchini and corn - Even though not much of a veg eater but surepy loved it. Crispy, saucy and tinge of spice.

4) burrito bowl pan seared fish .

The nachos, burritto bowl and tacos are finger licking good. I feel quantity of tacos can be increased. The churros gave me a foodgasm. A chilled out place. And a definite authentic Mexican food outlet.

If you're craving Mexican food in Koramangala you can safely stop your search right here. Having tried authentic Mexican food before I must say this place does complete justice.

The place is difficult to spot but a pleasant surprise once you get there. Very pretty ambience and cheerful staff.

Special mention to their water which is super refreshing with a slice of lemon in it.

We tried a tamarind based mocktail and a rice based one. While the former was awesome, I'd say you need to acquire the taste to really appreciate the latter.

We tried one of each, a grilled chicken taco, a soya bean burrito, spinach and corn enchiladas and ofcourse some nachos. And everything was tasty and left us delighted!
It's a must try for sure!

Cute place , the grilled tacos were great even the veg ones like mushroom. But churros was not up to the mark ! Nice mexican food , the waiters are very polite and they helped us to suggest the good foods .

We had a mushroom Quesadilla, a roasted zucchini and corn burrito, a portion of churros, and a portion of tacos. The Quesadilla was a tasty one, for a typical Indian foodie surely it's close to a paratha, but the truth is; that's how it really tastes. The tacos were tasty, had sufficient sauces to not be too dry to consume. The burrito was decent, I've had better and tastier ones; but I don't think they were at fault, I'm just a little lesser used to a burrito rather than a burrito bowl. Lastly, the churros were amazing with just enough cinnamon to make us drool over them through scent and taste both. Definitely close to what my impression of authentic Mexican tastes like. Worth a visit! Cheers.
