A Good place for some real good Mexican food. Do try the quasedillas. The tortillas are good too. The ambience is alright for casual dining.
Mexican lovers who were depending on only taco bell, here is your salvation.. chinita brings all the flavours of Mexico to Bangalore with substantial portions. The nachos plate is more than enough for two people who have an average appetite. Their must have includes the hot chocolate, the almond horchata, the guacamole and the grilled tacos. I liked the desserts but it didn't match up to the starters or the mains. And I found the seats a tad bit uncomfortable. But all in all a wonderful experience.
Beef Quesadilla - I tried this by a friend's recommendation. However coming from Kerala where we like our beef spiced up, this was a let down as the Quesadilla was bland and after a certain point of time, we were craving for some flavors! But that cannot be called a flaw in itself as someone who likes bland food would have loved it! After all Quesadillas aren't Indian.
The hot chocolate was in fact better than most. You can give that a try. The staff recommended a tamarind drink which was in great taste. In the first sip, very many flavors shot past our taste buds and the drink grew on us! While here, do ask for the tamarind drink!
Found this place on Zomato when I was searching for places specializing in Mexican food. This place surpassed all expectations! The food was hot, hearty and used the best ingredients. The flavours were amazing. They even have Horchata! It's a delicately flavoured rice and almond cold beverage, and I'd only heard it in a song (actually that's what made me try it). It complemented the spicy food perfectly. I'm very sure I'm going to find myself there very often!
Their flavours are an absolute indulgence!
We ordered a tortilla chips with guacamole and a grilled tacos plate. Soo good!
I wasnt aware such a restaurant existed...I accompanied a close friend who is a Mexican cuisine fan.
I liked the food very much even though we were able to try only 3 dishes..But the food was very good...The Almond Horchta was matter of curiosity for me..It was simply awesome, a medley of flavours in a drink i have not had before. The tacos were well-presented and the taste was good as well...The bowl was my friend's as I am not very fond of beans and avoid them.
The ambience is too minimalistic..I think that can do with an improvement.
The redeeming feature of this place is its food and to a certain extent the service. All the 4 stars are for that.
Have you been to the best Mexican Restaurant in Bangalore ?
Well now they accept Zomato Gold also.

1. Grilled Chicken Tacos
Taco is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a tortilla folded around a filling. A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including vegetables, cheese and meat like seafood, pork, beef and chicken. Tacos are often garnished with salsa, chilli, pepper, avacodo, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, onions and lettuce.
Got to taste some authentic Mexican food here. A bit different from the Mexican food served at other places in terms of being very close to authenticity. Our order was Chicken Nachos, Enchiladas, Beef Tacos , all the items with the appropriate amount of sauces tasted good. For drinks we ordered for almond horchata and fresh lime soda which were refreshing.
It's a nice and refreshing to taste a different cuisine and thats what brought me over here. The interiors are just fine, with the seating space abundant from my perspective. Coming to the service, it's good but can be improved upon. The food tastes great but I feel the portions served need to be looked at again, too little for my stomach. Price is on the higher side and I would still recommend this place for people looking for variety when it comes to food like myself.
Delicious and authentic mexican food! But more than the food, I loved the service. Our server was super nice and helpful with the menu, recommending dishes for us and making friendly conversation. Would love to visit again!
Damn! This place is legit!
I’ve lived in California for about a decade and have had many Mexican meals during my time there. Chinita really comes up in my top 3 best Mexican food I’ve ever had.
We tried their Nachos, tamarindo drink and the red pepper soup.
The food and service was 10/10. Absolutely no complaints or anything flaws to pick at all.
Then we proceeded to order the mains - we ordered the rice bowl with the beans on the side. The waiter happily obliged. Our food came to our table in good time, presented well and was delicious.
The feel of this place takes me back to a taqueria in San Diego. Very cozy and simple. I only wish they had valet parking since that street is a quite crowded.
Overall a great find and will be back for more.
Chinita never fails a Mexican craving. Best quesadillas, traditional mexican beans gravy topped Nachos/Tortilla chips will always be my suggestion. tried new sour dough sandwich ranges and enchiladas- above average rating.
ps: their burrito bowl and taco are usually above average while a pocket friendly options but didn’t get scope this time:)
We tried the grilled tacos (chicken tinga) which were overloaded and so yum. Also tried the pulled pork enchiladas which was super cheesy and delicious. For dessert, we tried the Mexican style churros. We tried the almond rice drink which we didn't like at all, the organic iced coffee was good. Overall great food and service by the kindest staff. Ambience is decent but could have been better.
Must try- grilled tacos and enchiladas
Real mexican 🇲🇽 food...
I feel this tag line is definitely true..
My experience in Chinita was really good.
Ambience was classic, simple but pleasant. Food was definitely new and had unique mexican taste..
Service was fast and satisfactory.
Nachos(we tried jackfruit carne asada) and Enchiladas(we tried mushroom and spinach) are must recommend.
We tried Churros and grilled corn 🌽 as well. They were definitely good but not worth the hype we see on Instagram.
Drinks 🍸 were also good. You can try Virgin Margarita 🍹. I found it really good.
Definitely visit the place once👌 💯
Good place for Mexican food. This is located in a busy one-way street and parking will be a challenge. This is on first floor.
Been to the Indiranagar outlet before. As it’s clear from the good reviews, go here for good Mexican. Lovely food. Hot chocolate, nachos and bowl were amazing. I loved the Burrito bowl with mushrooms (loaded!!) especially. Good portion size of this.. not sure why other reviews complained of portion size, the burrito bowl is hearty and filling. Just a tad unhappy about the churros which looked more like murukku than happy Mexican delights. Nevertheless, this would be my preferred go to place for Mexican until I get bored with it.
Food is slightly on the expensive side.
Food is brilliant.
Beef Quesadilla is brilliant.
The pork and chicken taco is so crispy.
They also have a mango drink it's a must try during the mango season.
Churros were average.
I ordered a grilled chicken burrito bowl, chicken tinga taco (i opted for 1 soft and 1 crispy tortilla) and churros. The staff, the service and the food was good. But I expected the food to be a bit more spicy and tangy. You can ask for the green chilli salsa, which is quite spicy. The drink was refreshing and nice.
Chinita is an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Its not like California burrito or TacoBell where they serve localised version of Mexican dishes. Chinita has only proper Mexican food on their menu. The Menu comprises of Mexican drinks, salads, starters, Main course, and Mexican desserts. There are only 2 kinds of soups in the menu. Don’t go to this restaurant searching for Indian food .
I went for chef suggested dishes. Tortilla mushroom salad, Mexican chicken soup, Burrito bowl, Chicken Enchilada Main . The dishes were appropriately spiced based on Indian taste pallette. The main hotness of the food were from jalapeños. All the dishes tasted very good and the flavours were not overpowering. It will seem that they were just out of a Mexican house. We also got a complimentary nachos dish. There is food for everyone (for all ages) in their menu.
Pocket pinch is on the higher side. You have to shell out ₹600 or more per person to have a stomach full of food, excluding the drinks and desserts.
There is a handwash and a washroom at this place. Both the handwash and the washroom was very very clean.
There is no dedicated parking at this place , but your can park your car on the adjacent road. Parking in this area is a pain.
Very tasty food. Good ambience. Was pleasantly surprised .
