This is a unique restaurant which stands out for its authentic kerela cuisine, which is so deliciously lip smacking and worth every trip and penny you spend. I've eaten so many times here and ordered too, it has never disappointed us not even once!! Everytime it's been better than the last. Their fish curries are out of the world. You should try the fried small fish, and have them when they are hot and crisp. The flavor of curry leaves and spices will leave you wanting for more. The fried crab is another item you shouldn't miss out if you love seafood. We all stopped talking when we were relishing the crab, it was that good!
India is famous for it's varieties of Biriyanis and Thalassery Biriyani is one among them. This sweet and spicy biryani hails from the Malabar region, specifically Kerala. As name suggested, this famous joint serves various Kerala foods but renown for it's Thalassery Biriyani. Thalassery Biryani makes use of an indigenous variety of rice – Khyma or Jeera instead of the traditionally used Basmati rice. Also fried onions, fennel seeds, cashews and raisins are the common ingredients which make this Biriyani little sweet & mild compare to other Traditional Biriyanies specially in South India. So if you are not a spicy lover, this is a must try.
Now this review is based on my recent delivery order (Chicken Biriyani). Taste wise they did a decent job including the mild flavor of local spices. Portion size including two pieces of chicken are more than enough for one person. Only issue was, chicken was bit over cooked. Hygiene & freshness looks OK, but this is something hard to certify without visiting them in person.
So overall it's 3.5 out of 5.0 for me. But going with 4 as 3 will be bit harsh,
This restaurant is very famous for seafood. I love the service and the food. The cafe opposite to this hotel has very good items. This hotel has very good parotas
This Kerala famous restaurant along with their cafe right opposite to it, is our daily chai adda. It serves lot of Kerala snacks and believe me, tea is just amazingly addictive for 10 bucks.
Coming to restaurant, it serves a huge menu, consisting Kerala varieties along with tandoor and grilled items as well. It has lot of seafood starters that you will not find out in regular restaurants. Thalassery chicken biryani is a must try.
We ordered seer fish fry, served with coconut paste and a tangy pickle. It was juicy with single bone, and was loaded with flavors. Punjabi chicken gravy was great to go with soft Kerala parotas.
Being there as an Andhra guy, it's definitely worth dining and tasting several Kerala items. Loved it.
Cheers !!
I liked the food.... The flavor of food is awesome ,I will surely recommend everyone.

Food-4.5/5
Ambience-3/5
Service -4/5
It’s a small place which serves Kerala food, had the meals with fish fry everything was worth it, it was fresh the fish was taste and the place was clean and yes not so expensive on the pocket, worth the money you pay, but yes go there if u wanna try Kerala food and not something else.
The food and service was good. A typical kerala restaurant. The space is little congested. There is no allocated parking space, have to find the space in the busy street.
Food was tasteful. The ambience can be improved. The food should be served on time, and at the same time if possible.
This is a good Kerala Restaurant, with branches across Bangalore. Recommend to those missing tasty Malabar Food.
Its not an overstatement if we say Thalassery is the snacks capital of Kerala …and a shop which does justice to making it visible to all in Bangalore is Thalessery cafe ….it has many branches in Bangalore and the one in Nehru Road is one among the most popular shops …if you are a foodie and you want to explore the most popular snacks in Kerala especially in the Malabar region this is the place to be!!!
There is only few tables and so customers have to wait about half an hour during peak time. About 6 sets of table /chairs, All tables have 4 chairs each. Some couples occupy these tables fully and don't allow others to sit on the remaining 2 vacant seats. Management has to do something about this by ensuring all tables are as far as possible occupied, so that the waiting time for other customers get reduced.
Chicken 65 was soft and crunchy 👍 and Dry Briyani was good
It was a nice Restaurant , very Affordable to have food here Family Freindly Restaurant taste is Very Good 👍must try spicy Foods
Had our Lunch today , it was a great experience.
Mutton chukka was very unique taste and soft pieces were there 👏🏻
Then we had Thalassery special chicken briyani and Chicken RaRa masala….😋
All the food we ate on a banana leaf which was giving the feel of kerala 👌🏻
My favourite place for their lemon tea. This is place to relax with some tea and snacks. Great vibes.
Cheap and best, the biryani is one of the best Kerala style biryani I had in Bangalore, I am a very regular customer and the parotta with egg curry or roast is really tasty, very pocket friendly and no compromise in taste or quality.
Tasty Kerala food..
Lots of options available nearby. But I recommend it here. Almost 6+ times I have visited and never disappointed.
