This is one of the iconic place to visit in Bangalore. I had seen my dad get us bakery items from here, but hadn't known about its history. The food has that traditional Iyengar bakery taste to it. Their dil pasand are drool worthy. Other items worth trying are khara bun, aloo bun, puffs. Price is slightly on higher side, but worth the quality.

I traveled about 8KM to taste egg puff. My very first egg puff in Bengaluru was not fresh however after waiting for 10mins the fresh stock arrived and taste was superb. The texture & taste of the stuff awesome. The bread of the egg puff is very well layered, crispier & soft. And a big wow to famous “dill pasand” a must have item at SJB. I tasted few items & all of them are superb. Of course I took 3 whole “dill pasand” parcel 😋. Worth visiting the place & no regrets of my travel. Probably post 11am visit of the bakery would be the right time to feel the freshness. Happy appetite.

Wonderful bakery. Lot of options to choose from. Had veg cheese bun, was tasty and filling. This is one of the oldest bakery’s around. Looking at the people rising in to purchase shows how good the bakery is. A must visit for tasty food.

Love for bakery and it's products never dies, rather it rekindles our memories. Our experience at Sri Jayalakshmi also been on same lines. We loved all the items, we tasted, be it: vegetable puff, corn puff, bun jam, Honey cake, cream bun. So good is the taste, the crowd walking into the shop, second it.

This is my 4th or 5th visit to this bakery and I'm pretty much always a fan of whatever I buy from here. Their butter and coconut cookies are to die for. Their bread is also great. Their Chocolava cake and apple cake are my all time favourites. Their buns and sandwiches are also great for a try along with their egg and veg puffs. Their basically known for their dilpasand and that's definitely worth trying. Their red velvet isn't worth it, steer clear of that. They only accept cash, two wheeler parking is easily available, four wheeler parking isn't as easily available. Great value for money. Food: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5

Humble owner who is customer focussed. Visited them for the first time two days back as I have been a traditional VB Bakery fan 😁. Their vegetable puff, honey cake, alu bun and bread were fresh and very tasty. Bread 🍞 is fluffy 😍. I took Congress Bun, Butter Biscuits, & Salt biscuit. They accept UPI and parking is available for few vehicles right outside their shop. Quite hygienic. They are wheelchair accessible. Attaching photos for your visibility.

Visited the place after watching Kripal Amana's video. There was a long queue but well managed with only 2 customers inside the store at a time. We tried the Veg puff which was hot and very crunchy, the stuffing inside needed a little salt. The Toast was also good, again lacked a tinge of salt. Plain cake, Benne Biscuit, Kara bun were also nice. Parking here is a problem as this is on a main road.

The egg puff here is to die for. The Aloo bun with Congress peanuts with white butter is a medley of flavours, which is also a must try.
