Review Taiki - Bengaluru

Akhil S
I recently dined at this restaurant, and while I can't comment much on the ambiance due to the small and congested dining space, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and food. The service was efficient, and the food was quite satisfying. We tried several dishes: - Crispy Lotus Stem: This dish was a standout, with its delightful crunch and flavors. - Tempura Sushi: The tempura sushi was good, offering a nice blend of textures. - Bibimbap: The Bibimbap was tasty and had the right balance of flavors. However, the only disappointment was the Mango Sticky Rice. It didn't meet our expectations as they used milkmaid, which didn't suit our taste buds. Overall, if you're looking for decent food and don't mind a cozy dining space, this place is worth a visit.

The food is so good. Especially the kkangpunggi. Loved it!! The quantity is good. They have a fusion of Japanese, Korean and Asian dishes. You ll get to taste a little of everything. The place has good ambience and not very crowded. The service of this place was quite surprising since some restaurants take time to serve food especially when it comes to Asian, Japanese or Korean food.

Food is good, no doubt! Narrow seatings for 4 despite reservation on the upper deck. Not sufficient space to dine comfortably. Serving needs to improve (missing plates for keeping cutlery, table clearing after each course, promptness). Desserts options were limited, only 3 were available.

It is a cute and cosy place with some great sushi and Ramen. The food was good overall except for two things: 1. The prawn in sake that we ordered was not fresh at all 2. They had no sake available despite a nice long list on the menu. Service was quick except for the prawn which took and eternity but were not fresh.

Absolutely amazing place. Loved the Sushi, Salmon Donburi & Crispy Soft Shell Crab cooked Korean Style - A must have when here as very few restaurants in Bangalore have Soft Shell Crab on their menu & most of the times they are not available. Will be back here to try more of their food.

The waiter who served us Hopson, was very kind with the food suggestions and the food was excellent. Loved the crispy lamb and the fried rice, they were highlights for me.

Food was good but not the best I've had. I enjoyed my meal but none of the dishes were authentically made. Something felt missing

Had 5 different types of sushi. They were quite nice in taste but not rolled properly, they fell apart easily. The wasabi was super good though. We also tried their Tori Paitan Ramen. The chicken slices were overly salty and the broth was too milky, it was more like a cream of chicken soup rather than a Paitan. It was not favorable to us. But we will come back and try other dishes another day.

Taiki is slowly growing to be a popular choice amongst the Asian food lovers and we (group of 5) visited to check out all the buzz that was surrounding it. The restaurant was a bit hard to spot as it is rather narrow and squished between 2 big showrooms. So there is a good chance that you'd just walk/drive past without noticing it. We got our table after waiting for 10-15 minutes as it was a weekend night. We ordered the following: BULDAK (5/5): There's something about Korean fried chicken that's unmatched. The gochujang sauce with the korean spices on the bite sized chicken turned out to be one of the best starters that I had tried in a long time. SPIDER ROLL (5/5): This sushi was also on some other level only. I had never tried crab based sushi and was glad to have this. The addition of cucumber definitely elevated the taste of the dish. STEAMED SEAFOOD & CHILLI OIL GYOZA DUMPLINGS (5/5) : Undoubtedly, the winner amongst all the dishes for me. I'm a dumpling lover, so I'm particularly choosy about them but this one was soft, light but powerful on the pallete, thanks to the chilli oil.

I visited this place with my friends.. Since it was on weekend and because of their very minimal space it was little bit crowded... Staffs are very humble and helpful.. The ambience is average.. Coming to food.. I hardly remember the names.. we had tried crystal dumplings the taste was very good other dishes was average ..

I hadn't tried a lot of these asian cuisines in my life before going to Taiki. But this place surely opened the doors for many more such experiences. I visited this place when I was nursing a cold and I definitely went home feeling much better. Here is a link to what we thought about all the dishes. Do take a look:

https://newsable.asianetnews.com/video/lifestyle/taiki-where-parts-of-asia-plate-up-in-bengaluru-pzblja

Here's a summary too:
Tea
We began with their tea and on a coldish evening, it warmed us up enough to look forward to their food. We had the Oolong, Jasmine and Chilly teas and each was unique in its own way. For someone who doesn't really enjoy Chilly, the Chilly Tea definitely won my heart.

Sushi
In my opinion, the vegetarian sushi, which was called the Asparagus & Tofu roll, was far better than the non veg one. However, my friends really enjoyed the non veg sushi just as much. So pick any, and dig in!

Mushroom Gyoza
We also ordered the Mushroom Gyoza, which brought out the nice, earthy flavours of the mushroom even when it was wrapped in what looked like a rice sheet. I think it was a better version of the momos.

Baos
We tried the fried aubergine bao and the korean lamb cutlet bao. They both were really delicious. There was this slight sweetness of the bao that was an excellent carrier for the stuffing that was crisp, yet dipped in mayo and other sauces.

We then ordered the Bibimbap, Curry Laksa and the Ramen. Would definitely recommend you to check the video link for reviews on these.

Taiki has been in my bookmarks for a while now, I finally got a chance to visit the place last weekend.
I was really impressed by the ambience, it was really cozy with a cute decor.
They mainly focus on Japanese and Korean cuisine. Their menu is elaborate and the recipes are authentic too: right from their starters to the main course.
The staff was super friendly and the service was fast as well.
For a person who doesn’t like salads , I loved their som tam salad and larb gai. It was a really nice start to a hearty meal.
Talking about starters , they have a new addition to their dumplings menu: Lions head dumpling which had chicken meatballs with a spicy chili garlic and bokchoy. It was really delectable.
Would definitely recommend this and the Taiwanese prawn shumai.
Another starter that I loved was the Sichuan chilli fish, it was cooked really well and blended with chilli.
We tried two sushi’s , tempura roll and uramaki rainbow roll. It was presented really well. The taste was great too. A must try for sushi lovers.
For main course I had the japchae noodles and tantanmen noodle bowl , the portions were great and it was enough to fill us up.
They have a really different and interesting dessert menu. One of the few places in Bangalore serving the Korean dessert bingsu. I couldn’t stop myself from eating it. The date and chocolate cigar rolls was something I never tried before but loved how it tasted.

My personal favourites were tantanmen and the mango bingsu. It was absolutely lip smacking.
Overall a lovely cozy place serving authentic Asian delicacies. Would definitely recommend it.

Taiki is a Pan Asian restaurant located in Indiranagar and it is just opposite to Indiranagar KFC bus stop and it is next to the KTM showroom. I can say the restaurant is located in a crowded place. It is a small-sized restaurant with a good ambience and they have utilised the space that they have available with a loft-like structure to accommodate more people. It can occupy around 20 to 25 people at a time. The staff is more helpful and courteous throughout the dining. There is no dedicated parking facility available at this place. One can park 2 wheeler or 4 wheelers in front of the restaurant at owners risk.

This restaurant mainly serves authentic Pan - Asian dishes like Japanese, Korean and Asian food.

We tried the following items in Taiki -

1. Som Tam Salad (It is a popular Thai salad with shredded raw papaya salad tossed in a spicy dressing & sprinkled with crushed peanuts)
2. Corn chestnut & spinach dumplings (Must Try - It is a tasty crunchy chestnut with the goodness of spinach in a colourful dumpling with a topping of corns )
3. Sweet & Sour Sauce Tofu (Two floppy Baos with Sweet & Sour fillings)
4. Mushroom & Edamame dumplings
5. Avi Mango Roll Sushi ( Sushi with nori inside, coated with sesame seeds, filled with Avocado, Bell pepper and topped with Mango)
6. Litchi Wontons (Flat wontons with tangy greens & Litchi served cold - It was yummy)
7. Mango Bingasu (Must Try - A popular Korean snowflake dessert made from milk shavings with Mango syrup & fresh mangoes)
8. Crispy Chocolate noddles with ice cream (Must Try - It is fried Noddles dipped with chocolate syrup provided with Ice cream)
9. Date & Chocolate cigar roll (It is a combo of Ice cream and chocolate sticks)

I was totally surprised by the taste and the portion provided, it is sufficient for 2 people.

Overall, I enjoyed the food here at Taiki would definitely recommend this place

ETC Ratings:
Overall,
Food- 4.5/5
Ambience- 4.5/5
Service - 5/5
Value for money - 5/5
Overall Rating - 4.8/5

Worth visiting once more: Yes

If you love Pan - Asian dishes then this must be your next go-to destination or you can place an order.

Note: For Parcel, always try to carry vessels and avoid plastic!!

With raving reviews decided to visit the place for some nice Japanese food . To begin with the wine ...absolutely not worth the price . The quantity given was more to just sniff and swirl .

We ordered the Classic Platter - the preparation was bad for a simple reason that the Salmon was not fresh . For any person who is used to good Japanese food , the moment you hold the fish and rice together and dip in the soya , it shows how well it has been rolled . The entire stuff disintegrated .

The Miso Soup- it was over powered with Fried Garlic !!! And that is an absolute disaster and disrespect to Miso Shiro !!!

The Korean Gimbap, was rolled bad as well the sea weed sheets used was old . We could so well make out that they were too huge to consume and the seaweed wouldn’t breakdown ...

Most of all the accompanying sauces were all got wrong . Dipping sauces are important for dishes like these . Esp the spice .

The only little interesting thing was the Prawn Tempura , which looked more like Midget Prawns . The batter was a little stiff but eatable .

Unfortunately there is nothing I can recommend from what I ordered . So atleast you know what not to order !!

The food wasn't good as it used to be.. And it wasn't authentic Japanese or korean
The katsu curry was basically Maggi masala.. The Korean fried chicken was nothing like its supposed to be.. Kimchi fried rice also didn't have the kimchi flavor. Was very disappointed..

Ambience 🛋🖼
I visited Taiki during the less rush hour, so I didn’t mind the cramped seating arrangement. We got a seat on top and I must say I loved the extra natural light coming from the top.

What’s up for grabs 🍽🥢
- Crabstick Maki, Japanese vinegars rice rolls wrapped in nori sheet, stuffed with crabstick, raw mango and cucumber.
- Spicy Prawn Gyoza, such tasty dumplings served with dipped sauce
- Sambal Shrimp Baos, a portion of 2 baos, wrapped in lip smacking prawns
- Mango Bingsu, a popular Korean snowflake dessert made from milk shaving. The mango was seasonal and we had to take it !

Service 🤵🏻🍾
Very prompt service

Cost 💰
₹₹₹₹

The best Sushi(Veg) I’ve had in Bangalore so far.

The ramen was good too.

Tried plum wine for the first time, would be my last as well.(Not the restaurant’s fault:p)

The place is small and could fit limited number of people, do make a reservation beforehand to be on the safer side.

Would definitely recommend for sushi, absolutely amazing!

I just love this small little gem of place. It was a surprise for me and I didn't expect it to become one of my favourites. I love asian food and they serve almost perfect Asian dishes. We were craving for some ramen and so we went there and that turned out to be our best decision. We ordered chicken ramen and teriyaki donburi chicken and both were really good. I am looking forward to go there again soon.

Decent Japanese place in the heart of Indiranagar.. What strikes you immediately is how efficiently they have utilised the space that they have available with a loft like structure to set more people..we ordered the prawn tempura sushi, chicken dimsums, chicken ramen and lamb bibimbap.. the dimsums where the best of the lot with the ramen coming in at a close second.. not much of a sushi fan but I would still consider it good..bibimbap was a tad bit disappointing though.. overall a cosy little place of you're craving decent Japanese.. However it is far off from what you would call authentic Japanese

Who doesn't love some nice Asian cuisine and Taiki is one of those places which serves some lovely Asian delicacies from Korea, Japan Thailand. The restaurant itself is small so getting a table at times could be a task but it's worth the wait. It takes some time to get the dishes served since it involves some hard work while preparing these dishes so yeah, you have to wait for a bit. Apart from this, you will have an amazing experience while you are here. The decor at this place is simple and nothing too fancy, which is just right for the ambiance here. The staff is polite and provide a really good service. So we tried the bao buns, sushi, ramen, gyoza and Thai red curry with Jasmine rice. Just love this place.

Must try

1. Mushroom gyoza
2. Chicken ramen
3. Oreo bingsu

Very courteous staff, we were a little late for dinner, yet they allowed us for dine in. Thai rice pot green chicken was the real deal, mouthwatering yummy. Decent price, good location, nice ambiance.

You can go to better Japanese Resto and enjoy the food, ambience. This Japanese and Korean had too much of desi Indian flavour. The place is compact, limited staff, no distancing and to mark all there are flies and cobwebs all over walls and lamps and chandeliers. Good for college kids but certainly not a family or couple dining. We ordered Korean soup which was decent, tempura roll which I couldn’t understand why was it so over cooked and maki roll inside out was non chewable. Then we ordered crispy lamb where I couldn’t make out lamb and then was rice bowls. Katsu curry was like clove curry 😂 they didn’t use good quality Japanese rice and ramen bowl was like spice topped uncooked noodle soup with items missing. All local ingredients. It’s a big NO for quality Japanese 🙃

Yes, the pandemic can not stop us from exploring new restaurants when just shifted to the city.
This place in indiranagar is easy to locate. Place is very small but they managed few seating arrangements proficiently. Everything is very neat and clean with no fuss of decor drama. They maintained safety precautions nicely.
We had ordered Chicken Kkanpunggi, Prawn Nam Phrik in starter. Both are fried crispy item and delicious, but nam phrik was better.
After this we chosed Lamb Bibimbap which is a rice bowl of sautéed veggies and shredded meat with a heavenly sauce. All together tested awesome.
And a bowl of Chicken Ramen was little spicier for me but tested good.
Portion size and prices are pretty reasonable.
This 4 items was more than enough for two of us.
I have never tested any Japanese cuisine, so can not say anything about authenticity.
But I would definitely visit again for other items in the menu list.

Ordered a Veg Seoul bento meal.. definitely overrated! And my friends ordered a bowl of chicken Ramen and 1 bowl of bibimbap with fried egg, didn't taste all that satisfactory at all! The sushi was good and bingsu is definitely worth a try, but it's an overrated place for sure. But the ambience and the place itself is beautiful. They've made wise use of the small space available.

I love the food at Taiki! My parents and I are big fans of sushi and visit Taiki everytime we crave for it. The place is small and cute. They have great variety of food. Must try!
Ambience:
I have visited this place three times in 2 months. The place is small but very comfortable. The ambiance is just perfect they have used the space very wisely.
Food:
I love the food here. It's a little expensive but it's worth every penny.
The Sushi's are a must try but nothing beats the chicken Ramen. I absolutely love the chicken Ramen here. The only dish I have tasted and didn't like here is the Korean chicken. I don't know if the dish is supposed to taste like that but it's not something I would recommend.

• Smallest bowl of ramen + over priced •

We ordered a fish starter and Chicken ramen which were good but nothing like we hadn’t had before.

Both dishes we ordered were too less in quantity for the price we paid. I’ve had ramen in many places and in other countries, I must say that this is the smallest bowl of ramen I’ve ever
had.

We ordered cola and it’s 3 times the price. It’s crazy.
You can have better food in other restaurants and do some penny pinching.

Loved the authenticity of the food

The place definitely could be bigger as it does get cramped on the upper Deck

Last year when I came back , say around the same time, I was exploring the new places in Indiranagar and Koramangala, which had started making the news in Bangalore during my absence. Taiki was one of them which stood out during my new place hunt. Appropriate usage of space turned this alley kinda place into a small oriental kitchen as well as tea room .

Nice place. Not very suitable for larger crowds. We were rather unlucky on the day we visited as it was rather full and the AC wasn't working. We had 2 people waiting on us. One was the one of nicest people I met and the other was the stark opposite. The sushi and the kimbap was tasty and so was the Bao buns. The noodles were not my favorite but I am looking forward to try thr ramen and the Japanese omlette sandwich next time
Some of the best dumplings I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of dumplings in my life! Chefs are really creative. Many choices are here like prawn, veggie, chicken flavour dumpling etc. When you want to eat a good dumpling definitely this the place. It already come with the sauce and packed neatly. Definitely recommended for dumpling lovers and it is taste really good. I loved the Tebasaki Chicken wings the most. First time had food from Pan Asian restaurant, it was good experience. Chicken Korean Ramen was also equally yummy. It was worth money spending in regards to quality and quantity too. I would definitely recommend all my friends to try out this outlet specially Taiwanese Prawn Shumai.

The food experience was fab here. I must say it has become by favourite place now.

The food here was fantastic and really yummy..
The wantons and sushi were perfect and the taste really was authentic.

Tried the chicken salad along with traditional Japanese dessert. Loved the dessert which had the base of maggie and a scoop of ice cream on top. The salad had a good quality of chicken which gave it a overall delicious taste.

Ordered some sushi, it was pretty good. Colourful. Probably will taste better in a restaurant ambience.

You can't go wrong with this place! The food is great! It's small, but don't take that against this place, I suppose it allows them to post attention the food they serve.
You'll also need to forgive the attention of the service. But once you have the food, you'll forgive them and drift away into the heaven of flavours that dance on your tongue!
Have a great time!

A speciality restaurant that deals with Japanese, Korean and Asian food, this place is extraordinary. What makes it extraordinary? The ambience, the style of service and ofcourse the food.
It has an elegant ambience with seating arrangements made on two floors. I tried the Japanese rice wine and was amazed by the taste. I really enjoyed the salads especially the watercress avocado salad.
One must try the healthy shake made out of tofu. It's worth trying.
Shot shell crab and basil bao was my favorite dish of the day. Their sushi platter was excellent. Both the veg and the nonveg.
When you are in a place like this, how can you miss the authentic Korean ramen? They are served with delicious and heavenly hot broth.
Desserts also have great options like the matcha crepe and japanese cheesecake. Both the dishes are amazing.
My overall experience at Taiki was extraordinary.

Best place to try out pan Asian foods.
Was here for dinner.
Started with broccoli, water chestnuts and tofu gyoza ( Japanese style dumplings)
This was nice to start with.
Next u tried fried tofu in sweet and sour sauce bao (Chinese steamed bread rolls)
This was something new that I tried liked the sweet tofu inside, bao was little hard I felt.
Now it was time to try the national beverage of Japan "SAKE" (traditional rice wine) it was delightful.
Sushis are decorated artistically and tastes authentic tried there veg platter sushi.
Coming to main course
BIBIMBAP veg (Korean rice dish) was served with fried tofu and other salad giving it best flavours of various ingredients.
Desserts:
Japanese cheese cake was delicious.
Matcha crepe ( crepe made with Japanese matcha tea)
Place is quite small but very well decorated and has elevated floor seating.
Overall was new experience since I am not a big fan of pan Asian foods.

With the thought of trying a whole different cuisine, I went over with my friends.
This place is a squeezed up place with beautiful, warm, and good vibed decor. Staff was sweet, warm, and courteous.
.
Got to say, food was mind blowing regarding quality and quantity.
.
We ordered:
Salad:
Watercress Avocado salad:
A must try salad, those flavours and combinations of strawberries, avocados, watercress, greenssss. This will refresh you up.
.
Broccoli, water chestnuts and Tofu Gyoza (pan fried)(Japanese style is dumplings or potstickers):
So delicate and mind blowing! Must have. Couldn’t have enough of these.
.
Fried Tofu in sweet and sour sauce Bao (Chinese steamed bread rolls):
These soft baos with fried tofu, and that combo of sweet and sour bao was star dish for my dinner.
.
Uramaki Avocado and Mango Roll (inside out maki roll):
You have to be joking, if you say you are going to a Japanese outlet and won’t try maki roll.
This is a must try and worth it!
.
Water chestnuts and shiitake mushroom stir fry-
One of my friends is allergic to mushroom so we asked to replace it to something good and guess what they replaced mushrooms with broccoli. Thank you!
Now coming to the taste, this was good. Also quantity wise, share it, sharing is caring. Also after eating all that, sharing was best option!
.
Desserts:
Matcha Crepe (Crepe made with Japanese Matcha tea):
Dessert couldn’t get better! It was all matcha! No extra sugar, just cream and matcha and that softness. It won’t crack up, but the lightness, and bust of taste is so good that you will feel like you can’t have enough.

Taiki, at 100 ft Road, indranagar, is a proficiently engineered little space off the main road. The decor has been ingeniously designed & seems quite a setting, given the small space. Artifacts cast depict the authenticity of the country. Easy to reach with the metro station being nearby & one can't miss the vivid ambience of the restaurant. The staff is highly courteous, spruce & swift with the orders, although it takes quite some time to decide what you would like to eat from the elaborative menu! The theme of the restaurant & the music makes you nostalgic. The alcoholic beverages go well with the setting & sways your mood insync with it. Authentic food is served & each recipe has a distinctive touch to taste it. The food is eminently plated by the chef & makes it all the more alluring to be devoured quickly! The ambience was great and it was a nice and cozy place. However it can get a little stuffy if it gets crowded. The person who served us was kind enough to give us good suggestions. I loved the Ramen the most. Straight out of an anime. For the sushi, I felt the seaweed to be a bit chewy but the salmon tasted great. Overall a wonderful experience.

After a Long time I got to taste Authentic Japanese & Korean Delicacies thanks to Taiki

It is a Japanese Restaurant located in Indiranagar. The Interior was plush & the background music sets the mood right. This place has two stories sitting arrangements

The Delicacies that I've tried and would recommend are;
💥Soft Shell Crab and Basil Bao
💥Uramaki Rainbow Roll (inside out maki roll topped with slices of tuna and salmon)
💥Seafood and chilli oil Gyoza (steamed)(Japanese style is dumplings or potstickers filled with seafood)
💥Larb Gai(A popular Dish in Laos and Rural Thailand, salad with mince chicken, lemon and chillies )
💥Sake (Japanese Rice Wine)
💥Korean Dangmyeon Noodles with Prawns (Korean style Glass noodles)
💥Nam Prik Chicken ( Thai sauce with chillies, palm jaggery and umami flavours because of shrimp paste)
💥Japanese cheese cake (Japanese style sponge cake which is less sweet and low in calories)

One of the best japanese/korean restaurant i have visited. Really awesome food quality

Asian food for beginners. Price and ambience sub-par. I'd instead suggest one of the many competing restaurants for these cuisines nearby.

Taiki is a small, elegantly made restaurant serves very good pan Asian food. We tried the soft shell crab with Thai flavors and the tempura prawn sushi and they tasted great. Had the crispy calamari which was not so crispy but tasted Ok. Had the chicken laksa, the soupy noodle bowl and there was a perfect amalgamation of flavors!! Ended our meal with the kimshi dessert and it was just about OK. However the sake and wine are overpriced nearly 700 per glass!! Overall its a good place for food!! U could skip the drinks!!
PS : the sink area and the toilets needs to be cleaned !! Stinks so bad could kill ur appetite!! Would give it a 3.5 :)

I love Japanese, Thai and Korean food. So when you give me all Asian cuisines together, I can't miss it.

Taiki serves some of the best Asian cuisine in the city. And we went bonkers with the order.

I ordered a hot match latte to start with.

We followed it up with jigae, laab gai, buldak, gyoza, sushi, shitake roll, ramen, kimchi fried rice, general tso chicken.

And ended with Japanese cheesecake and strawberry bingsu.

Now let's talk about each of the items.

1. Matcha latte 4.5/5 - loved the texture, taste and the matcha flavor was perfect. Would have liked a little more quantity though.

2. Jigae 4/5 - it's a Korean stew. I liked the overall taste but I'm not a big fan of tofu so didn't like it that much.

3. Laab gai 5/5 - didn't know I would like a salad so much. This minced chicken salad with fish sauce and lime juice dressing was an instant hit.

4. Crispy lotus stem 5/5 - I love crispy lotus stem so maybe I'm biased but this is a must have veg starter.

5. Buldak 3.5/5 I expected more fire in a dish that means fire chicken. The chicken was succulent and tasty but the spice level was really low.

6. Panko shitake roll 4.5/5 obviously nothing can beat sushi but this shitake roll gets the flavors on point and that wasabi just blew my mind or should I say nose. Hat tip to the chef for a perfect wasabi.

7. Chicken coriander gyoza 4/5 just like a Chinese dumpling but with thinner wrapper. It was a little bland for my palette.

8. Sushi sampler 4/5 tried the crab, salmon and tuna. Good but not something that would make me say wow. The perfect Wasabi makes the sushis better for sure.

9. Kimchi fried rice 4/5 a good option if you are ordering gravy along with it.

10. General tso chicken 4.5/5 I loved this with the sticky rice. It's a sweet and slightly spicy deep fried chicken and really hits the spicy notes with the right amount of garlic and ginger.

11. Korean ramen bowl 5/5 I loved the ramen bowl. Perfectly made noodles, succulent chicken pieces, and the soft boiled eggs on top. Foodgasm.

12. Japanese cheesecake 4/5 classic cheesecake without the crust topped with raspberry. A good to try dessert.

13. Strawberry bingsu 4.5/5 how can you come to Taiki and not have bingsu, the popular Korean dessert. The ice shavings were consistent and the strawberry pieces on top made my day.

All in all a great food experience and a great ambience along with excellent service. A must visit place in Indiranagar for all Asian cuisine lovers.

Taiki is one of the best japanese restaurants I have ever been to. The place is simple yet elegant. Some beautiful architecture implemented within a medium sized place. The place has got some nice art installed and beautiful lights. The food is one of the best in the city and the staff is also very cooperative. Overall a damn good experience.

Taiki small & cozy place next to KTM showroom Indiranagar, this outlet is the best example what can be done in small or limited place , really impressive ambience. They serve Japanese & Korean cuisines .
Starting off with mock-tails and smoothies I tried Green beauty 🍹 and vanilla and chocolate smoothie, also tried their Mogo Mogo tea ( smells really good ) and tried their miso shiro soup 🥣 tofu chunks in the soup jut melted in my mouth . In starters tried crispy lotus steam and Buldak ( Korean fried chicken) . Coming to sushi Panko shiitake rools and Salmon Maki both were amazing . Also tried Korean ramen 🍜 it was yum . Dessert were the best cheesecake just melted so 🤤 yumm also loved their Date & Chocolate Cigar roll with ice cream . Bingsu was heaven , tried strawberry flavour with mango ice cream scoop !! Overall i really enjoyed the food here at Taiki would definitely recommend this place ..

Not really upto the mark and definitely the ratings are misleading. I have tried Sushi @most places in Bangalore, this was by far one of the worst experience. Other dishes might have been better, however did not get to experience that as I left after having stinky Tuna maki rolls and substandard deep fried soft shell crab.
Will definitely avoid coming here. Sorry, just a bad experience.

Good ambience and service . Food was good as well as presentation . Place was easy to find . Would like little more spice in the food !

Wanted to try this place after craving ramen and seeing the high ratings as per Zomato. However, I was completely unimpressed with the food.
The restaurant is rather small and doesn’t have wide enough tables. There was no one else dining at the restaurant except for one other lady.
The food was off the mark - not offering the authentic flavours each of the dishes demanded. We ordered a range of starters and mains and struggled to find one dish we actually enjoyed. This place is definitely a pass

Finally visited Taiki after such a long wait since months! I was amazed to see such a beautiful place in a narrow lane, kudos to the idea of designing it this way 👏🏻

So I had been with few of friends for lunch! Since there are famous for Pan Asian dishes I wanted to try their Bao,Ramsen bowl,Thai curry,Sushi.

Started off with mocktail. Ordered Virgin pinacoloda which came in very quick and was amazed with the quick service.

We then ordered few soups,Veggies bowl and Mushroom Bao! Bao were so good, too softy and the flavours in it were to die for 👌🏼

Mango avacado Sushi roll was my next try and was really brilliant! Next we ordered Thai curry & Chahan fried rice, both were very different and good 👌🏼

Even though I am not a fan of Asian or Korean restaurants, this place changed my concept & perception on it!

We did try few desserts. Firstly we ordered their signature bingsu, a Korean dessert which I tried for the very first time.
Cheesecake could be improved as it was not too soft! Chocolate noodles with ice cream was excellent too
Green matcha french crepe was outstanding and Highly recommended👌🏼

Overall place is hygenic,a must try place for Asian food in Indiranagar! Highly recommended ✨

Nice place. Friendly service. Loved the Kanpunaggi starter, Tom kha soup was different in white colour but tasted great. Thai with red chicken curry was delicious, slightly on the spicier side. Korean Ramen was not like the one my wife had in korea but tastewise was ok.

The silent tofu just melted in my mouth beautifully.
My friends who had the Tom yum and Tom kha soups were of good opinion about the soups.

🔶 The highlight of the day was the vegetarian ramen🍜 called yasai ramen which was my first try for ramen and must say! I'm totally head over heals about it

🔶One of my other favourites was the exotic mushroom bao.The bao was extremely fluffy and the mushroom stuffing was juicy🍄

🔶Mango and avocado sushi rolled in sesame seeds was absolutely delectable. ❤️😋

🔶The chahan fried rice🍚 is a classic Japanese- Chinese fried rice and is definitely worth a try

🔶The crispy Thai vegetables🥕 consisting of vegetables like cauliflower, baby corn and carrot was a great way to liven up the taste of the vegetables

🔶The desserts were the shote stoppers!! 💜💜💜.The Japanese cheesecake here is one of the best cheesecakes I've had.Not too sweet but yet flavourful

🔶Matcha crepe is totally binge Worthy🍵

🔶I was too excited about Litchi bingsuu🍧 which was ice shavings topped with fresh fruit and the ice cream. It was very different!! This is a must try place for Pan-Asian Delicacies. The ambience is decent and nice.
I’d been here on a weekday for lunch and the place was completely packed.
I did try few of the mocktails, Jungle Cooler which is made of Pineapple, Orange and Lemon juice and White Lady which is made of Passion Fruit, Pineapple and Green apple juice.
For starters we had, Sichuan Chili Fish [5/5] #recommended, it tasted authentic, the boneless fish chunks were crisp and were tossed in spicy Sichuan sauce, Classic California Sushi Roll [4/5] were made with Crabstick, Cucumber and Avocado, Bao Buns filled with Sambal Shrimp [5/5], the buns were fluffy and the Shrimps were crisp and spicy, Bao Buns filled with Lamb Bulgogi [4/5]. For mains we had the Thai Green Rice Pot [5/5] #recommended, the curry was creamy and had good amount of veggies went well with the sticky rice and Katsu Curry with rice [5/5] comes with two pieces of deep fried prawns and flavorful curry. For desserts we had, Litchi Bingsu [5/5], which is made from flavored milk shavings, Crispy Chocolate Noodles and Ice Cream [5/5] and Date and Chocolate Cigar Rolls with Ice Cream [4/5].

Ambience – 4/5
Food – 4/5
Value for Money – 4/5
Service – 5/5

First of all hats of the the interior designer who made awesome use of space. Liked the ambience. The food was tasty as well. Veg classic gimbap, the honey chicken wings and the shrimp Bao. The Bao was so soft. Ordered sake I know it is served in small container traditionally but the prize is too muc I felt for the sake. Else everything is amazing. Definitely visiting to try other dishes.

A Hipster Trap

Very disappointing visit. It started very a very grumpy manager who couldn't even bring himself to smile. He told us there was place upstairs and when we went up it was packed.
The decor is fancy but masks how uncomfortably small the tables are. We had to move to a bigger table just the two of us since the two seater could barely hold our food.

We ordered the Nigiri Starter Set, Korean Lamb Cutlet Bao and Tantanmen.
The Nigiri set was a huge disappointment. The rice was an overcooked pasty mess and so sweet that we could only taste it and not the meat. The meat was so thinly sliced that we could barely taste the tuna or salmon. The tuna was sliced so thin it was transparent. Totally a waste of money.
The Bao was extremely salty and again so much sauce that we couldn't taste the meat or fillings inside. Very disappointed.
The Tantanmen was not bad but not like the authentic Japanese or Chinese versions. It was very sweet and the quantity was very sad. There was literally one of each veg and the Bowl was quite small for how much it was billed for.
I don't know if we got the chef and the staff on a bad day or it's always this bad, but after today we are definetly going to be cautious about returning.
Hope they improve the quality and authenticity of the dishes and open up the space for more comfortable seating.

Well, Taiki is one of the very few places or probably the only place in Bangalore serving authentic Japanese and Korean food that I have come across. I regret not discovering this delicious place earlier while living in Indiranagar all this time. But as they say better late than never.

I had a delightful brunch at Taiki. To kill the thirst we started off with some mocktails, “Green Beauty”, “Bride of Paradise”, “Jungle Cooler”, and one “Virgin Pina Colada”. The mocktails aren’t their area of expertise but they are at least loaded with fresh fruit pulp. For the starters, I had a plate of “Shichuan Chilli Fish”, a “Crabstick Sushi” and a “Raw Mango Sushi”. I absolutely loved their Sushis and will highly recommend it. The flavors were blended so perfectly. I tried three of their “Bao Buns” (the buns were so fluffy and freshly baked), one “Exotic Mushroom”, a “Chicken Katsu” (I felt it had more than required quantity of soya flavor), and a “Lamb Bulgogi” (It was crispy and was lovable for my tastebuds).

The soups I had were “Tom Yum”- Tangy Thai soup with lemongrass, galangal, and prawns, it was more like a tomato soup with chunks of Prawns. I enjoyed the “Tom Kha Soup”- Thai soup with coconut cream base and chicken, it was delicious till the last slurp. In the main course, I savored a “Thai Green Rice Pot”- chicken cooked in coconut curry and served with rice. Well, I’m an admirer of coconut flavor in food. I also had a “Thai Prawn Pot”, a Thai curry served with rice and topped with two pieces of deliciously beautiful prawns. A veg noodles bowl was also served, had the coconut base in the broth, so I might be biased for loving it equally.

Sigh! No good meal has ever ended without a dessert. I had a “Blueberry Cheesecake”, a “Date & Chocolate Cigar Rolls”, a “Green Macha French Crepe” (I never thought of this version of crepes) and a “Crispy Chocolate Noodles & Ice Cream”. What actually deserves a special mention is their “Bingsu”, a popular Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings. I tried a Litchi Bingsu, this was something new for me and I enjoyed it.

The ambiance here is very lively. A pre-booked table is recommended here as during the rush hours this place gets jam-packed. They have smartly utilized the small space for the cafe. I can’t wait to visit this place yet again!

Taiki the other name synonymous to Pan Asian Cuisine. A cute little place that serves one of the best and authentic Pan Asian Cuisine.
Starry from their soups, small plates or appetisers, main course and desserts are just perfect.
Starting from their Miso Soup, TomKha and Tom yum the soups had a burst of fresh oriental flavours. The prawns, chicken used in the soup were fresh. The Miso soup had silken tofu in it which gives the soup a very unique texture.
The crispy vegetables were crispy, just Perfectly cooked. The sushi we tasted were great and the fillings inside it was really great. The mango sushi was a burst of flavours with ripe mango, raw mango, avocado. These impart a very interesting flavours to the sushi.
The Baos were fresh, fluffy, soft and tasted great in dishes like exotic mushroom and sambal prawns.
The Thai green curry and jasmine rice was a combination you must try. The perfect balance of coconut milk and green Thai curry paste was doing wonders.
Coming to desserts we tried Matcha crepe roll with creme, Japanese cheese cake, date cigar roll, Bingsu and chocolate noodles with Icecream.
Each and every desserts has right amount of sweetness without overpowering the actual taste of the ingredients and a must try.

Ordered home Katsu Aubergine curry with rice, didnt like the dish at all. The breadcrumb coating was too thick with a very thin slice of aubergine. There was no flavour of the vegetable. Also found the Katsu curry more like maggi masala with couple of potato and carrot pieces thrown in. Maybe should have stuck to the standard dishes like Ramen or Bibimbap. Not value for money.

Sometimes when you go out you get bad food and very average service and if you are not in luck you end up at Taiki. This has been my worst eating out in I don't know how long. We ordered Tofu cups, the lady who took the order did not know how many pieces will be there in a portion and when the food came the number as way less. The wonton cups were fried but the oil was not drained, Moreover the quality of oil was pathetic, black residues. When being asked we were told that it's fried so black stain will be there. Secondly the cutlery had dust over them ,when we asked for a replacement similar condition plates were given. To top it all the team was having some food behind the counter and they were serving us the food and new plates without washing their hands. This was unacceptable. As a restaurant you need to have basic level of hygiene. I am definitely never visiting the place again. Haven't had this level of service anytime anywhere

This has to be one of my favorite place to get some amazing Sushi and Ramen. I loved everything about this place. Their food is so yum and I couldn't get enough of it.
My personal favorite has to be the Ramen which comes in 4 option, their Dates cigar rolls and obviously their korean fried chicken.
One can also try their Bento box which is a whole box meal, their curry was so good topped with some sticky rice fried chicken, sushi rolls and dimsum.
It's a must visit place and obviously my personal favorite.

Taiki is a new Asian cuisine restaurant. This is just 500m away from Indira Nagar metro station. So this very much accessible.
Coming to the Ambience, this is a small place. But love how they have done so many things in it.
Service is very good and very friendly staff.

Even though this is a Asian cuisine, vegetarians have many options.
Tofu shake, jungle cooler are the drinks I would recommend.

Veg Tempura was crispy and good. Non vegetarians can apt for prawn tempura.
Sushi - They have many options for sushi. Mango Avacado Sushi is the best one I would say for vegetarians.
My favourite has to be the dumpling I ordered. Broccoli wirchst and Tofu Gyoza. This had the perfect flavour and so soft and bottom was pan fried.
Korean Dangmyeon Noodles is the main course I ordered. This is available in both veg and Non veg.
For dessert I ordered blueberry cheesecake.

Indira Nagar now has a Asian cuisine with a lovely food and ambience. Guys do give it a try!!
Rating - 5/5

Located on 100ft road adjacent to the KTM showroom, Taiki is a small, cozy and a beautiful Japanese, Chinese and Asian restaurant. I visited this place on a Saturday to have lunch with few of my friends.

We started with some sushis like golden rainbow roll which was a combination of zucchini, salmon and tuna along with uramaki avocado mango roll which was a veg sushi. Next we had the korean fried chicken dry which was soft and topped with a bit sweet sauce. We also had the broccoli and wurchst tofu gyoza and seafood with chili oil gyoza which was so soft and tasted delicious. The tempura veg and tempura prawn were perfectly crispy and had a delightful taste.

For the main course we had korean dangmyeon noodles and taiki special chankonabe which was boiled noodle with added steamed meatballs topped with mildly boiled eggs.

Ending our lunch with the dessert, we had the Japanese cheesecake. 😋

Finally I tried out one of the best Asian restaurants in Bangalore and it’s non other than Taiki, first things first they have actually managed to keep the authentic very good in everything which starts from the menu to the whole ambience of the place.
Let’s go for the food, started with the soups, in which Tom Kha was pretty good, I just loved it. Then tried out Korean style fried chicken which was one of the best starter I have tried out so far. They have wide range of sushi and ramen, which was so good, but I’ll always ask you to try out more starters because everything is just amazing. They also have different types of bento box which is Asian style lunch box perfect for lunch. You get a portion of everything which starts from rice to curry which even includes pickled ginger. Highly recommend

Nice cozy restaurant, awesome, authentic food.

Tucked in a neat corner on the 100ft road, Taiki is a hidden paradise for Pan Asian cuisine lovers. It's a small place but surely looks fancy and spread over two floors. With comfortable seating options and vibrant ambience, this place doesn't fail to leave a good impression.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
My dinner at this Pan Asian place was quite appetizing. Starting from soups and salads to sushi and noodles, everything was nothing less than delicious.
From the soups, I would recommend the Tom yum prawn soup and Mandu guk dumpling soup. The prawns soup was thick and delicious. The mandu guk dumpling soup is the clear soup which really impressed me.
The watercress avocado salad is a good pick for healthy eats. I truly enjoyed the flavours.
From the starters, there was mango avocado sushi, a decent choice for veg lovers.
Then again there was Rainbow roll among the non veg starters. This had avocado, tuna and salmon as the main ingredients. This is a must try here.
Also, I would recommend the Korean fried chicken which was brilliantly cooked. We went for one more serving of this dish.
Also, not to miss the crispy lamb and nam phrik prawns which were absolutely delightful.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
Coming to the main course, Taiki special Chankonabe is super impressive. A hot pot filled with lamb chicken meatballs and noodles, an absolute treat.
But the highlight from the main course was the Bento boxes which have been recently introduced to the menu. We tasted both the Thai red curry shrimp bento box as well as the Avocado Maki chicken bento box.
I personally loved the thai red curry box because of my personal inclination towards Thai curry.
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
From the desserts, Strawberry bingsu and Chocolate cigar rolls with ice-cream were the best. Pricing is quite decent and the overall service was prompt and staff is friendly.

Taiki is a Pan Asian restaurant and offers variety of options to choose from the menu. Starting from authentic asian based soups to starters, main course and desserts, they have everything based on your preference.
I have to mention about the Bingsu dessert first which is so unique and is a fun way to eat it. It's basically a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings. I tried the strawberry one and it was surprisingly good. Also I'll recommend the date wafer stick with ice cream. Oh and I tried their tofu and soy milkshake which I was bit skeptical about since it had tofu but it was delicious.
Apart from the flavourful soups and Asian chicken starters, I loved their sushis. They were freshly prepared and had lots of flavor and one must try their rainbow roll sushi.
The Korean fried chicken is also a must try dish. Especially during winters, one must try their chankonabe which is a hot pot filled with lamb chicken meatballs, veggies and noodles.
They also serve bento boxes which is absolutely great and is usually consists of sushi, salad, dumplings with some curry and rice and it's value for money. Also, the staff makes sure you liked the food and recommend good suggestions as well. So if you are looking for some great sushi, variety of soups and noodles with amazing pan asian curries, head to taiki and don't forget to try the bingsu.

Taiki is a small, little, easy-to-miss restaurant in Indiranagar on the 100 ft road. It is a little congested but the food they offer is great.

They have a lot to offer on their menu. We ordered the Nigiri sampler sushi set, Kkanpunggi, which is a Chinese - Korean fusion hot and sweet fried chicken, Tantanmen for mains and the matcha crepe and home-made japanese cheesecake for desserts.

The Nigiri sampler sushi has crabstick, shrimp, tuna, salmon, asparagus and zucchini sushi. All of them were really well prepared, the kind of which you would get in a really good Asian restaurant.
4.5/5

The Kkanpunggi, was delicious, the sauce the chicken was tossed in was an exact balance of sweet and sour. Even the vegetables tossed in the sauce with the chicken tasted very good.
5/5

Tantanmen was a Japanese take on a ramen and curry based noodle bowl. The taste was really interesting and different. I feel they could have added some more vegetables and chicken to it and served it hotter. Otherwise the taste was very good.
4/5

The matcha crepe was a new addition, this was the first time I had something made with matcha. What I liked about it was that the crepes were well made and matcha did not over power the dish. But I did not like this dessert too much, not very exciting.
3/5

The Japanese home-made cheesecake was good, it had the right amount of sweetness in it. But i felt it should have been fluffier and softer.
3.5/5

The place is a little pricey compared to other Asian restaurants in the city, with respect to the quantity of food they serve.
The service was fine and I believe it could have been better. Otherwise a really good experience and I would go again. This place would satiate your Pan Asian cravings and you should definitely try it out if you live in Bangalore.

Overall - 4/5
Maybe I am biased because I have been to really good Asian restaurants in the city and Taiki did not appeal to me as much as they do.

We ordered a platter of Ngiri, which was average , we took the recommended starter which was Thai style chicken ..and turned out to be well.. was like deep fried chicken fritters with Asian flavor.. , the main course was just average. It's a small cute place with some loud EDM/ House music which I don't understand why they were playing..also on inquiring about or giving a suggestion to the management that they should mention deep fried against the the dishes which are served that way. We were told in a very passing manner that everything in this restaurant is deep fried... And I was like thank you and waked out..

I may have stumbled upon my new favourite Asian food place!

Things we ordered:
1) Sampler Nigiri Set x 2 - 5/5
2) Classic California Roll - 4/5
3) Katsu Curry - 2/5
4) Ramen - 5/5
5) Japchae - 3/5

As lovers of sushi, my friends and I ordered multiple types of sushi. The nigiri was SO good, we ordered another round after eating everything cuz we couldn't have enough of it! Maki rolls were top-notch as well.

We ordered a bunch of things on the menu other than the sushi as I've listed above. Must admit, it was overall a great experience. The ratings per dish are merely based on personal taste preferences, who know you might just enjoy something I didn't!

The ambience is lovely, a small quaint little space with multiple levels that feels very cosy. The waiters were courteous and clearly enjoyed their work, felt wonderful to be served with a smile and laughs at our stupid jokes!

The music though needs to improve, it was messing with everything that was working in the favour of Taiki.

Taiki is a quaint and beautiful Pan-Asian restaurant serving a fusion of Korean, Japanese and Thai food. A lot of things you get on the menu here, you would probably have never tried before and that's exactly why you should give it all a try, here at Taiki!

The Soups :

Tom yum Soup (Prawns)
Jjigae Soup (Chicken)
Tom Kha Soup (Chicken)
Mandu Guk Dumpling Soup (with chicken dumpling)

I recommend : Tom Kha soup (for it's coconutty and homely flavor) and Mandu Guk Dumpling soup (for its aroma, dumpling and the ability to fix all of life's problems)

Salad :
Watercress Avocado

I'm not even kidding when I say i used to 'hate' salads until I ate this one. Decked with watercress, avocado, mango, red peppers and feta cheese, this salad is something you can chow down without batting an eye. Delicious to the very last drop!

Bento boxes :

New York Bento Box (Chicken)
Shrimp Bento Box

I recommend : Shrimp Bento Box, because if I'm offered shrimp, i always go for shrimp. No other meats quite stand a chance. That aside, this bento box had a mix of dumplings, prawn curry, jasmine rice and sushi!

Fried :

Korean Fried Chicken
Crispy Lamb
Nam Prik Prawns

I recommend : Korean fried chicken and Crispy Lamb. KFC because it was the most flavorful fried chicken of all time. No fast food chain even comes close in terms of taste. The crispy lamb although a bit chewy was also absolutely delicious!

Noodles :

Dangmyeon 'glass' noodles
Taiki Special Chankonabe

I recommend : Dangmyeon noodles because, MAN! Those lighter than air glass noodles decked in choicest of veggies and chicken were everything a ramen lover could ask for. The flavor was just right.

Sushi/Korean rolls

Chicken Gimbap Korean rolls
Rainbow rolls
Avocado Korean rolls

I recommend : Rainbow rolls, because the tuna, seaweed, sticky rice, soya sauce and wasabi combo was just a killer combo. You have to try this. They have an assortment of Salmon, Tuna and Avocado rolls.

Special mention : Prawn Katsu curry
Crispy Prawn tempura drizzled with chilli flakes laying on a bed of sticky rice and katsu curry can make you weak in the knees and in the best possible way. Try this on a rainy day, on a winter day or bright sunny day. Really, any day is good enough for Katsu.

Dessert :

Bingsu
Crispy Chocolate noodles & Ice cream
Date & Chocolate Cigar Roll & Ice cream

I recommend (and with all my heart) : BINGSU
Who cannot possibly like thread like shreds of ice in a bowl infused with strawberry flavor, topped with a scoop of ice cream and thick strawberry syrup. Not one of you will dislike the 'bingsu' and you can have my word for it.

Please do try this place, you'll have a great time like I did. Let me know if you need help deciding what to eat.
