Review Tea Villa Cafe - Bengaluru

Akhila Balaji
We went to Tea Villa Jayanagar for dinner on a weekday. It was not very crowded and service was quick. Their cheesy nachos was really tasty and I would recommend it. Their Chinese Bhel was also good and the quantity was good. Their Hazelnut Hot Chocolate could have had a thicker consistency. It was very sweet and did not taste like cocoa. Their main course portion sizes was a little disappointing. However, their tomato and cream spaghetti was really tasty and so was their burnt garlic fried rice. We however, did not enjoy their Nutella waffles as much. The ice cream with the waffles did not taste that good and felt a bit stale.

Decent place to have food, would suggest it’s nice to sit and chit chat. Food was good enough but not worth the price, pizza was way too thin only with a lot of cheese. Very accessible and ample parking is available. Best part is it is a pure veg place. Service was okayish.

Situated on Jayanagar main road, the Tea Villa Cafe stands out with its distinctive name, a pink-hued building, and an entrance that deviates from the norm. Unusual for a cafe, it features a closed door reminiscent of fine dining. Inside, a tea bar counter and cashier greet you, adding an unexpected touch. The first floor exudes a formal restaurant atmosphere with somewhat uninspiring decor, but the redeeming feature lies in the balcony seating. Specializing in vegetarian cuisine, the menu is notably restricted, although they boast an impressive tea selection. Unfortunately, the staff's training leaves room for improvement, impacting the overall dining experience.

A Vegetarian cafe which serves a variety of cuisines which includes Indian, Italian, Continental, Chinese etc. The ambience is quite good and warm. The staff is is welcoming and swift. They don't have enough seating to accommodate multiple large groups. If there are 3 groups of 8 or more people, then getting place will he hard. The ambience set up is perfect for dates. Staff was very friendly except for one person when was there. The food is really good. Loved the Lotus root starter. Its a must try from my perspective. Waffles were really tasty. I had Kung Pao Paneer starter where in they mentioned it to be crispy paneer but that was not the case. However taste was good). Burnt Garlic noodles was really good. Schezwan Fried rice and Handi Biryani were a bit on the average side. The Mocha cold coffee and other drinks which my companions had were really good from their experience. Definitely worth trying out some veggie options here. They don't have dedicated parking space. So finding parking during the weekends might become an hassle. All in all its 8.5/10 for me. Price is slightly on the expensive side but I think its worth it. On an average you might be spending around 600-800 per head for a decent meal.

The ambience of course is amazing. And we just wanted to sit and talk with some fancy tea. So this was the perfect venue for us. Their hibiscus tea and zafrani chai is amazing. The assorted fries basket was a little disappointing especially with the zucchini fries. The "make your own waffle" dark chocolate waffle was too good.

I am a regular visitor of this outlet. The food tastes great. Nice place to hangout with a bunch of friends or family.

Had kashmiri saffron Chai and cafe latte. Both tasted well! Ambience is warm and relaxing. Place is peaceful and location is perfect. Good place to hang out with your bestie or your partner to chat for hours without interruption 😊 Though staff should work on improving services and maintaining the cleanliness of the place. 😊

I was not given a physical menu but was given a QR code to an online menu, which is disappointing. I had oolong tea which was good.. A fancy store like this bearing tea in the name lacking vegan tea options is disappointing.
Abin Varghese
Decent place to be in. Has a good capacity seating, on the top floor they have a party floor too. Dint have much as this was only a coffee chat with a friend. But got to taste their coffee and hibiscus tea, both were good. I should visit here again as I have heard the food is also tasty. Their quesadilla and tender coconut shakes, crystal dimsum are items that I would love to taste sometime soon. 😊

Great place to sit and work even if you’re alone or if you have any kind of meetings as well, the menu has wide range of tea, coffee, cool drinks and some exotic dishes as well. They also have simple dishes like Maggi as well. What I really like about the places the ambience it is spread across two4 ground and the first floor. There is lift accessibility as well.

Awesome place for all the rainy Bangalore evenings <3

Actual customers are sidelined. Entire focus of the staff is on Management‘s personal guests . We sent back 2 dishes today (both were subordinate to basic expectations), And walked out. Spoilt our Sunday evening. Pathetic.

Chai lover? This place is a paradise for tea lovers. Authentic, delicious, unique tea is available here. The ambiance is lit! Music is amazing. Friendly staff and quick service.

Started with some Chamomile herbal tea to detox myself and proceeded towards Kesar chai. It was delicious! Tried some Panner samosa. It was so perfect and tasty. The filling was heavenly. Tried veggie sliders which tasted perfect. The patty was so fresh. Tried dimsums which was tender and melted in my mouth. Tried Alfredo fusili pasta. No complains at all. For dessert tried mini pancakes with white chocolate, dark chocolate and maple syrup. Perfect way to end! Overall it was a nice evening. Would love to visit this place again and again!
SA
Ordered Indian menu unlike continental. The bread used for kathi roll was as thick as the base of a pizza and the lacha paratha like leather , very disappointing as I’ve always liked the continental menu they had

This was my second visit to this pretty cafe. They're all vegetarian and have a lot of variety in terms of tea as well as food. For book lovers, they have that as well in both English and Hindi (I was very happy to see that).

I quickly ordered the berry blossom tea while my sister had the villa special black forest mocktea - The former was very refreshing and the latter had a very candy-ish kind of taste.
To eat we ordered some Watermelon and Feta Salad and Grilled cottage cheese sandwich. The sandwiches here are brilliant, grilled to perfection and with generous filling served with fries. Definitely recommended!
The Salad was nice too, the plate however was too big so the portion seemed quite small.

I tried the orange blossom oolong tea next, again very nice but If I had to pick one - it would be the berry blossom because I am someone who like the fruity aroma and taste.
We also had some Pasta Alfredo which was decent.

For dessert we took the reco from one of the servers - Nutty Buddy Waffle. Loaded with White Chocolate, Nutella, Milk Chocolate and Nuts - Thiz Waffle is a must try here. Enjoyed my meal here and totally coming back.

Recently visited Tea villa cafe at HSR layout which happens to be a pure vegetarian cafe!

As a welcome drink, tried kiwi Green Apple mojito , which is indeed refreshing with loads of vitamins and lutein.

In starters , ordered sweet and sour crispy garlic veggies and jalapeno nachos , both were equally good and tasty, especially loved the taste of crunchy nachos dipped in jalapeno sauce.

In Maincourse, we ordered paneer tikka Pizza, what makes it to stand out is it's properly baked thin crust and perfectly marinated paneer along with other veggies.

In desserts and milkshakes, we tried sizzling walnut brownie with icecream and Nutella shake,
*Sizzling walnut brownie - rich sizzling hot brownie topped with vanilla icecream
*Nutella shake - perfect blend of Nutella with steamed cold milk topped with icecream and loaded with nuts.

Ambience is classy and elegantly designed!
Service is quick and staff is polite.

On the whole, tea villa cafe should be your next pitstop destination if you are looking around for the best vegetarian cafe!

I had been to Tea Villa Cafe a few days back with my friend. I particularly loved this outlet more than the others because of the lovely floral wall paper combined with the black and white stripes. We decided to start with two of their teas- the “Energi-tea” and “orange blossom oolong”. Service was very quick and the staff are very attentive. Special mention to Om Prakash and Basanth. The teas are warm, comforting and a great addition to the meal. It also helps to digest and helps you to unwind and relax.

Being a lover of pan Asian food, I couldn’t resist ordering two of the dimsum. We ordered the mushroom and cheese dimsum and Schezwan hargao. I totally loved both of them. The mushroom one in particular was creamy and delicious.

We also ordered the chilli cheese toast, cottage cheese sandwich and Mac n cheese fries. The Mac n cheese fries are to die for! It’s spectacular and I highly recommend it. The chilli cheese toast with sweet chilli sauce was delectable too. The cottage cheese sandwich was quite bland and I couldn’t pick up the heat from the harissa sauce at all.

In main course we decided to opt for the tandoori paneer pizza which was a tad bland because of all the cheese and Alfredo risotto with mushrooms, broccoli, sundried tomatoes and olives. The risotto was perfect, not too mushy or gluey and it still had a nice al dente bite to it. The seasoning was perfect too.

Coming to dessert, we ordered the nutty buddy waffle and I can’t stop gushing about how good it was. It’s so sinful, yet not too sweet that you feel saturated. The crunch of the nuts with with creamy chocolate sauce and Nutella constituted to heavenly bliss.

I have been to other tea villa branches before and this stands to be my favourite so far!

Went yesterday after seeing Zomato reviews with my family for dinner for first time. The lotus stem dish served was terrible. It was too overly sweet and non-crispy. Had to abandon ordering anything else. Today morning everyone in family now has upset stomach making us wonder if the ingredients were even proper or did they serve us an old dish after re-heating. Never going back again.

Recently visited Tea Villa Cafe in HSR and loved the experience. Ambience is really beautiful and great for a quiet dinner or meeting with friends. Service was excellent. Very quick and polite.

In appetisers we tried mac and cheese fries which were amazing. Loved the taste and flavour the cream sauce. We also tried some dimsums like mushroom cheese and Schezwan and both were delicious too.

Paneer tikka pizza needed a bit more spice but after adding chilli flakes it was good. Harissa paneer sandwich was decent. Teas were too good- energitea and orange blossom oolong.

But highlight of the meal was the nutty buddy waffle. It was awesome. Must try item. Do not miss this waffle... it’s loaded with nuts, nutella and chocolate and not too sweet too.
Overall loved the place and recommend it too

This beautiful place located in HSR, provides excellent food accompanied with elegant and lively ambience, perfect for an amazing weekend brunch with your family or your loved ones.

Below are my ratings :
Food : 4/5
Ambience : 5/5
Service : 5/5

My Top 3 dishes recommendation from this place would be :
1) Schezwan Hargao
2) Mac N Cheese Fries
3) Alfredo Pasta

Overall, it's an excellent place to have an awesome experience, so add this place in your to-visit list.

EXTREMELY POOR. Everything except tea is a big RED FLAG, I won’t recommend it anybody. Total waste of money.

A good Cafe for relaxing and spending time. I loved the ambience of this place. Good lighting and spacious seating. We were served by Om Prakash who was very humble and polite.
Coming to the food, we ordered Cappuccino, Samosas and Quesadillas.
I must say none of the dishes were disappointing and Samosas were yummy.
Tea Villa will serve you appropriate quantity and most of the dishes are decent.
Thumbs up and would definitely recommend this place.
You can go for a casual date here if you are looking forward to spending quality time together.
Sourav Acharya
Only lychee juice served after changing the order once as well.
Siri Poovaiah
This place is so cute And I loved the two things I ordered there. It's completely vegan.
Pallavi Dwivedi
We were a group of 5 people looking to enjoy a sunday afternoon over good food.this place has it all. The cafe has a great ambience perfect for meeting friends. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu and like to give tea villa full points on that. Special mention to the Cheese fondue which was really delicious and the paneer tikka sizzler which was lipsmacking
Asutosh Maharana
A good places to have a good cup of tea. Nice seating arrangement outside and inside. Though the Breakfast menu should have been more with some Indian Options , it does manages to have a good list of Indo/western verities of food items. Couple friendly/ Family.
Simran Rana
Amazing place , really loved the Kashmiri tea😍
Shubham
This a lovely place with the best eggless croissant that I’ve ever had. They have delicacies like eggless churros as well, which is a rare find. The ambience is good. And the mocha frappe is amazing. Potato skin and pizza were not very good but decent.
The price is on a bit higher side though.
Deepika Sen
Lovely place for tea lovers.... Variety of tea available with milk and without milk.... Beautiful ambience but a bit overpriced.....good place for gupshup and evening hangout. Service was good too

Please time orders so that everyone on the table is eating together rather than bringing things one by one after 10 mins each. Service needs to really improve

I’m not much of a tea drinker, but this pretty cafe is all sorts of impressive. They have a genuinely impressive range of teas on offer and en extremely organic food menu.

Great food, pastas are especially good. Thanks Om Prakash for a great service!!!

I visited Tea Villa last week after hearing about it for quite some time. The place might have certainly invested a lot when it was established but the maintenance is absolutely abysmal to say the least. Furniture chipping off, uncleaned sofas and cushion covers, very dusty glass panel on the top floor, you don't get a nice feeling at all after seeing all this. The staff was courteous, though weren't quite interested in welcoming people. As for food, i tried their teekha chai and waffles, chai was good, waffles were just alright though i would give it to them for presentation.

Expected a lot more cheer, upkeep and service out of this place. Would not prefer coming back!!

We really liked the courtesy provided by Om Prakash Yadav at Tea Villa HSR. He suggested all best signature dishes such as Lotus roots dish, which was the best and pancakes. I'm not from Bangalore originally but will definitely visit this branch once I tour this city again and suggest all my friends and relatives as well to enjoy the Tea Villa experience.
Chaitra
Loved the food and ambience here
Ordered the Sulemani chai which was really flavourful , Kashmiri Zhana chai with saffron ,Indian breakfast, Veggie Manchurian with Noodles for main course. Quantity was good for the price charged. Loved the taste as well. Lot of options in the menu. Finished the meal with Nutella banana waffles which were really fluffy and soft. The only downside was slow service , but if you’re in a group , you wouldn’t mind the slow service.

Re-visited this place again!
It was very good, be it the ambience or music!

Ambience:
We can sit outside inside or on top, you can choose your preference! Light music will soothe your mind!

Food:
Almond broccoli soup, wow! Loved it! You can see no significant broccoli in as everything ll be smashed!

Potato skin, half potato will be cut, some yumm fillings and on top there ll be lots n lots of cheese!

Lasagne, best of all, so much Cheese so much flavor, must try!

Schezwan dim sum, you can avoid it

Overall, it's a value for money, a bit high on price but it's worth!
Go for it!

I love visiting Tea Villa and have been a regular visitor @ Mumbai outlets. This was my first visit to blore outlet.
Good ambience, beautiful decor, polite /helpful staff and yes good music in the background..
Was little disappointed on the food front. Liked Kashmiri zaffran but house blend chai was strictly ok and pav bhaji fondue and piri piri fries were just average...
Saurabh Singh
Slow service. Average food. Order coffee and sandwich: coffee was not delivered as the machine was faulty. Sandwich was delivered after 30 mins wait on a not-so-crowded evening. Think you can get better sandwich at much cheaper price point. Definitely Not worth the money.

Had an amazing experience! Omprakash is really good with his hospitality skills!
The paneer makhni sizzler was the pick of the day!
Great job guys! Cheers :)

Tea Villa , serving tea making it at a whole new level. When I first saw the facade was wondering what cuisines being served. Went in there for the first time, and the order goes -
1. Home blend tea
2. Morocann Charmoula Cottage Chesse
3. Cheese Fondue

Liked both the dishes, the portion size for fondue is good for two. Morocann Cottage cheese is heavy for a single person (though the pic here shows only three pieces, dikhave par mat jaoo :D) along with tea.

The ambience is okay nthng to point out, the seating is comfortable.

Any go to place if you want to change the way you want to have tea.
Shashwat Bajpai
The place is located in the heart of the HSR Layout and it really took my heart away. It’s simple stunning in every aspect. Food (we tried Ratatouille and Veg Sliders), Drinks (Crispy Choco and The Moroccan Mint) and the Service (Om Parakash Yadav) is just brilliant. The food and drink was suggested to us by Mr. Om and it was just Yum.
A place to visit if you want to spend some quality time along with lovely meal and drinks.
Kalyana Jarajapu
This is regarding a delivery order - Schezwan Noodles, cheese fritters and Madras filter coffee. Coffee was average. Fritters were insanely oil, not pleasant to taste. Schezwan Noodles were also very oily and very spicy. It goes way beyond the definition of Schezwan. Also it does not really have any taste other than being just very very spicy. Now for both me and my wife tummy is upset.
Manisha Choraria
The service by Mr Om Prakash was amazing. Keep up the good work. Nice tea and coffee. One should visit once.
Ambika Rao
staff never bothered to bring us the serving order until half an hour to finally come n ask what we were waiting for at the table!!
Megha Chaubey
The hazelnut coffee was amazing. Tyler helped us navigate through the menu very nicely..

Tea is not hot,lot of mosquitoes.
Snacks are not great
Archana Radhakrishnan
I love the ambience of this place.. calming, classy and some cool slow music playing in the background.
A great place to have good conversations over yummy food!

We had a lime soda, corn coins, tomato soup, Bombay Toast and a tomato/cream pasta with veggies.

All of it was superb except for the corn coins - way too much cumin (I believe) or some other masala anyway. It spoilt the whole taste for us!

Apart from that, we give this place a thumbs up and will surely visit again coz their menu has soooo much to offer that once ain't enough! :)

P.S : They include service tax onto the cheque by default. So, incase you don't want to pay that bit, you may wanna inform them to redo the bill & then fork up!
Leena Barua
The first time I was here I was bowled over by the kashmiri kahwa. I also like the stroganoff which I had ordered though I had better in other places. The second time I ordered a kashmiri kahwa again and a mushroom cheese sandwich. The sandwich was really cheesy, yummy and heavy too. The kahwa however was too sweet this time. My friend had a Lebanese burger and she liked it
Sudipta
Tea Villa Cafe - as the name says it's a perfect villa for tea and coffee lovers 😉 A great place for casual hangout. Located on a prime location, it provides an awesome decor and a great feel. Food is very hygienic. The ambience is calm and beautiful 😍 they have a variety of menu and everything is prepared in a unique way with perfection. Starting for the taste, plating, presentation, portion size everything is very well executed. The only point I felt is about the price, which is on higher end specially for the tea. Though the aroma of tea is exhilarating 🙂 The staff is very courteous and friendly. if you are a hardcore tea lover along with some munchies or quick bites without caring for the wallet, don't give a second thought... Go for it.

I would like to share a bad experience I had to go through because of poor judgement and ownership by the staff. We were 3 ppl visiting the shop and after being assigned a portion of a sofa, the staff wanted us to take a different place when a larger group arrived. I was fine with the arrangement until we find out no place for 3 is available and no one is there to help us around. And then a senior staff says we can take another piece of another large sofa area or any place we wish. I expected a better way of figuring out a place for us to be shifted to, before moving us out, I guess that’s a standard expected in hospitality business. And then don’t make it look like an act of kindness or generosity after being rude of taking our seat for making more business. We never went and sat on that reserved place at first place. The staff removed the reserved board and requested us to take the sofa when we came to your shop. At the end of the day no one is dying because of tea. So lets build a hospitality business with better service you know.
Ravi
We had a great time, awesome ambience and great service. Special thanks for Om Prakash for great hospitality.

Ultimate experience!! Enjoyed our Eve with wonderful staff Mr. Omprakash yadav, helped us in choosing best on menue... Lovely place and staff....must visit place.
Srisagaranand
1. Irani chai - Does not tastes like Irani chai
2. English breakfast - Has papaya, watermelon, apple and banana 4 piece each. Tofu croissant and bread with butter : never seen such diversity before in an English breakfast. Entire food was tasteless not even a single item on the plate has some taste in it.
Not worth paying Rs.375.

Pls improve your food quality
Neha Verma
Nice place with multiple options to enhance your taste buds. Finally I got cheese fondue here...loved this one.if you want to try something different then try pav bhaji fondue or cheese fondue. You can spend good time with family here.

This was the second tea villa cafe branch i went to, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. We ordered two varities of tea, a mumbai Sandwich, a pizza and a bagel. The food was delicious. What i love most about the cafe is the ambience and happy vibe that it has.

Brilliant food & service.
Om was great with his service.
Really recommend this place. The place is amazing for ambience & the food served here.
Tanu Tarnija Nigam
Service is very good, mention om prakash, very candid n supportive for good service n dine experience....
Amit Singh Bhadauriya
This is again a over hyped place , but marketed very well. I would say the only thing good was the interior (spend a lot of money I think ;-) )

Cost is too high for an average tea . Believe me the tea is only average in taste . You can get better tea (in taste) with a street vendor .

So you should visit this place only if you wanna sit and pass some time there but not for the tea.
Ankita Mohanty
@teavillahsr at HSR, surely stands out as a cafe in Bangalore. You simply cant get over the interior for quite a time once you enter the place.
If you looking for chilling with friends this place is a must place to drop by.

The food is really amazing and ambience is also cool. Waffles and tea are must have. The staff is really friendly and service is good.

Serves good tea...rampravesh and other staff were courteous
Sandeep Kumar
We have tried spicy indian pizza, Its affordable and its awe. We have been served by Ram Pravesh, he is very corporative ,you can reach out to him if you need any favour.
Madam
Poor service - staff not well trained - not attentive. In the middle of a weekday, with only 3 tables occupied and 10+ staff at work, it took us ten minutes to get their attention to place the order and fifteen minutes (yes!) of waiting to get the bill and pay. Indifferent and clueless staff. some cannot understand english and the rest cannot understand hindi.
Food is just about ok and overpriced.
Sahilpatni
Saffron tea was very good. Very rich taste with saffron zing. Me and my fiancée found the kahwa tea with a very rich sweet taste as well. We also like the Irani chai and camomile tea which are must try. On our recent trip to Hsr teavilla the waiter Rampravesh was very helpful and attentive and we had a very nice conversation. He was very courteous and took care of our requests like honey without even asking.
Tanmayee Verma
The staff was very hospitable. Rampravesh and his friend were extremely nice and made sure we had no problems and the food was amazing.
