Visited this place a couple of times on my frequent travels to bangalore. it's my goto fix for Thai food. The place has consistently served us great food. One must try their lunch and dinner menus which include Thai curries, noodle bowls, grilled meats, soups and salads. My all time favourite is the Bangkok meal bowl and the curried noodle bowl. But I think I might have exhausted everything on this menu for the number of times I have visited this place. Siam definitely caters to super authentic Thai food lovers.
The food is amazingly yum.. probably the best Thai food in Bangalore.. my 2nd visit yesterday and I am glad I decided on Siam to make my wedding anniversary more special with their service. Their service is extremely hospitable. I ve tried only vegetarian food here which is mouthwateringly delicious!! From their tofu and mushroom starters to the traditional red and green curries and the tender coconut souffle.. everything is perfect!! Thank You for an amazing experience yesterday!
Hands down, Siam is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Been here about 7-8 times and the food is always impressive. It's also authentic Thai, which can be hard to find in Bangalore. Ambience is lovely and tasteful. The place is usually quiet on weekdays but the crowds come in on weekend nights, largely due to their musical nights. The ‘One Night in Bangkok’ effect. Although the music can get a bit loud, it really doesn’t matter because they play a really good selection of upbeat classic songs.
Sad to hear that Siam is closing down but they have a new Pan-Asian venture planned, which should be equally exciting. Hope you guys retain many of the dishes from your menu - specifically the Pad Thai with peanuts, Crispy Fish, Stir-Fry Basil Chicken, Red Curry with Rice and Chicken Satay.
Looking forward to the new restaurant, good luck.
Small & cozy restaurant, with tastefully done ambience. This is a good destination for thai food lovers. Veg dumplings, veg steamed bun, bangkok rice bowl were all good. The hot sauce that came with the dumplings was the best dip I've ever had (flavours of lemon grass, basil, chilis in a sauce where the ingredients could still be seen instead of being mashed to a pulp - loved the texture). The attendants were easily available and helpful. It was a bit warm where I sat, and I had to ask for AC to be turned on. The choice of seating was restricted by the manager (we were allowed to take a 4-seater in a corner but not in another place) - that wasn't cool.
A special mention to the ambience of this place, feels really authentic. We went on a Friday night and the DJ was playing some really cool classics which eventually lead everyone to groove on the dance floor! The service in terms of food is really slow but the waiter is ready to help in every possible way. Their menu has changed so couldn’t match everything that is available online.
As for the food, we had ordered:
Starters:
Fried lotus stem: okay, could’ve been crispier, could taste cornflour towards the end, should be served with some sauce
Thai veg dumplings : great, and the dip that came along was super good! Asked for an extra helping
Fried corn kernels: simple yet really good
Spicy prawns: very spicy but good, good presentation
Thai veg spring rolls: good
Main course:
Pad thai (tofu): I’ve never had sweet pad thai, this dish wasn’t really impressive
Smoked meat rice bowl served with eggs: great, must order
Veg dumplings soup bowl: simple yet delicious
Fried noodles with black bean sauce veggies: I’d consider this their best dish among the ones we ordered
Desserts:
Coconut pudding custard: good
Drinks: (their presentation is good with exotic flowers floating on your drinks)
Muay thai punch: okay
Pattaya martini: okay
Basil sangria: okay
Blushing dragon: good
Somehow felt like their cocktails weren’t flavourful nor strong enough, tasted diluted
Overall the experience was good, some of their saved the others. I would recommend the place to give it a go.
Went for lunch...a perfect place for Thai, pan Asian.. the painting the decor everything reminds authenticity of the place...not a very crowdy place but decent amount of guest..sitting arrangements are good..
Coming to the food.we ordered pork belly fried rice, smoked pork fried rice and pork dry noodles...every dishes are unique..perfect blend of flavours...soothing effect for the tastebuds...delicious food...
Service is lil slow...will appreciate if the service is lil more faster...prices are bit on higher side...will really like to try more dishes further...overall nice experience..
Good but small Asian place. Perfect for casual lunch/dinner events. The food here is authentic Asian and mouth watering. Tried some of their non veg courses and they were really tasty. Stir fried chicken was really amazing. Pork and chicken buns were good too. Although they were a bit thick. Tried their ramen bowl and flat noodles they were really good too. This place is value for money. They have calm and refreshing ambience.
Went there for a Sunday lunch. I liked the Thai red curry with sticky rice and the curried noodle bowl - chose the vegetarian options. The portions were good too.
Authentic and tasty Thai food. Loved it!
The ambience complements the food, and the service is super prompt. Would definitely recommend it to folks who want a southeast Asian culinary experience.
Had been here for lunch. It was not crowded and we preferred to sit in the more lighted area. The staff is courteous and food is yum. Tried street hawker pork and I just loved it. Drunken Chicken was ok..I expected more. They have increased the prices and hence it is heavier on the pocket. Overall I would recommend you to try this place if you like to have good Thai food!
Strange but they had only Kingfisher in Domestic bottle.
Also I'm surprised at their name - doesn't sound at all like a good joint so wonder how they attract walk ins. Sounds like a Tea export import company.
Anyway - the service was fairly decent, the decor and ambience was dim lit but nice.
FOOD - Northern Stir Fry Chicken was very good, the Chicken satay & Pad Thai was also quite well made. The smoked meat fried rice was a bit dry but worth a try with some gravy.
Surely an expensive place as compared to MG Road joints.
Overall - it was an experience worth it
Folks who relish Thai food will love the flavours here ..
Prices are on a higher side but when you got a craving for tom yum soup on a cold winter day there you go..
