Dindigul Thalappakatti biryani was in my bucket list from long time.
I ordered: Biryani rice and Gun fire chicken. Biryani is cooked in jeera samba rice with authentic Tamil Nadu style species. The masala in biryani had a flavour of cassia & fried onion. Taste was clement. Raitha and non veg gravy provided with biryani. Non veg gravy was enhancing the biryani taste. Raitha was pretty dry, that’s may be because it was packed already and delivered. If raitha was slightly watery, perhaps I could have tried with raitha as well.
Gun fire chicken, the name itself made me that it could be eccentric dish. It’s one single chicken piece. The masala of this chicken was giving hint of coconut oil taste with pepper flavour, but it’s a great savoury.
All together great experience with the taste. I know, I must try other varieties from this restaurant and will do it soon.
Due to Covid-19, the restaurant has definitely taken appropriate safety measures to serve their customers. You can see the sanitiser was sticked to the paper bag.

I recently ordered their latest product addition - Gunfire Chicken. They have a couple of combos available where you could save 70 bucks if you club it with biryani and also get a free bottle of coke.
The gunfire chicken itself was super spicy and came in the shape of a gun. The chicken biriyani is made with seeraga samba rice, so if you're unaware of this or having this for the first time, you may not relate to it immediately. Give it a shot and see if you like it. It's quite light on your stomach and doesn't have too much Masala like other biriyani styles.
I would order again just to have their gunfire chicken which is extremely rare to get anywhere else. Top class packaging and amazing taste.

Tried their mutton sukka, gunfire chicken and seeraga samda rice chicken biryani. Just fell in love with the food. Even had kothu Parotta, well spiced and good amount of chillies. The rice absorb the flavours well and fill the space around with aroma. The curry leaf touch to gunfire chicken with legacy spices was just mind-blowing.
I have tasted this Biriyani both in France and US and found the taste pretty unique. Decent quantity as well
One of the best and tasty biryanis available, especially in bangalore where good biryani options are pretty low. Though it doesn't match with the famous Hyderabadi dum biryani, this biryani tastes altogether different and kind of like a pulav.
Dear thalappakatti.. We visited in your indira nagar branch today I saw the box of iftar it's a attractive box.. And we order 04 box it's soo good 😛😇 and enough of 2 person.. I like that.. Thanks thalappakatti..
Good food and good package.. Hyenic..
Food is so delicious , pomfret was awesome...
Very good service. But bit costly.
If you like Andhra style food then Thalappakkatti biriyani is a better option. When comparing to Meghana biriyani , I am not sure its up to the mark but its less or equal to meghana biriyani.
The main thing I am happy with them is it was soooo goood service from their boys.
From the door opens and till we went out they served very well. Polite and with good manners.
Some items where missing there but we got Chicken pepper fry it was so nice. Much oily but tasty.
Anyway I am happy with the food.
It was a perfect lunch on my birthday. Hospitable staff. Food was great. I really loved the kuchi mutton which was really good. The mutton Biriyani and mutton sukka were also good. Very relaxed environment. Visit on weekdays and for lunch if you want to avoid the crowd. Reasonable rates. If you love spicy South Indian non-veg dishes, then this restaurant is for you! There’s a lot of space for parking as well.
Dindigul Thalappakatti is a popular South Indian restaurant chain that is known for its biryani. I recently visited the restaurant in Bangalore, and I was overall impressed with my experience.
The restaurant has a nice sitting area, with clean carpeting and well-behaved staff. The menu is decent, with a variety of South Indian dishes to choose from. I ordered the chicken and mutton gravy with dosa and parathas, and I was happy with the taste and quality of the food. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced.
I would definitely recommend Dindigul Thalappakatti to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. I would also like to try their biryani on my next visit.

One of the best places to eat if you love biryani. The prices are very reasonable and food quantity and taste is superb. One must try their special boneless crispy chicken biryani and Peri Peri chicken. Would love to dine here any day !

My friend suggested to taste mutton biryani here, it won’t disappoint you for sure. The Kushal is very tasty. Try normal rice biryani instead of basmati rice. Chicken piece come with chopsticks is must try item. I personally recommend to you. Have a try.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and love the simplicity of biryani which they serve. Dindigul biryani is a special variant of biryani, having its roots in Tamil Nadu. Its distinct comes from a small grain rice called Seeraga samba rice, also known as Parakkum sittu.
The chicken and mutton biryani they serve is really good. Please do not expect some long grain, high-on-spices biryani here, they have their own style of biryani which is good if you are looking for something simple and less spicy. The meat is extremely well cooked, and falls off the bone pretty well. The Gunfire Chicken was okayish, nothing special about that. Special mention to their super-courteous staff!
I would definitely recommend this place to all the biryani lovers out there!
One of my favourite place to go. Love the quality if food and the taste!
Great biriyani. Courteous staffs. Fast service.
Do try their mutton biriyani. Non-Veg appetizers are also good. When in doubt, take their suggestions. Suited for family and kids. No alcohol served.
It's crowded mostly during lunch hours.
Vegetarians should try to avoid this place unless for any absolute reason.
Authentic South Indian Biryani can be experienced here. They offer chicken and mutton biryani. Good varieties of starters are also available. Parking also available.
Very good food. Non veg. Service very good. Ambiance very good. Location ist floor, main road.
