This is a good restaurant . Just visited this place while passing by on Sunday dinner place was almost vacant ambiance is old food is good price is economical all in all good place with old ambiance
Visited this place last week with a bunch of friends for lunch. The ambience of this place is old & rustic.
We had couple of vegetarian starters and out of all I liked the himachali tandoori mushroom. Tasted really well.
The ulte tawa ke parathe went well with paneer lababdar & Dal makhni .The tandoori anans served with vanilla ice cream was quite good.
Overall it was a decent experience at Umerkot
This is a summary review. Detailed review coming up next week.
Umerkot has been around for a long time and primarily serves food from the Sindh District, and is close to North Indian Food. It is a large place with comfortable seating, and the low hum of music allows you to carry on a conversations with ease.
The food, while not being extraordinary is pleasant enough, and the reasonable pricing makes it a good deal overall. More on the food later.

I had been to Umerkot for lunch on a weekend, the place is quite old and is run by Chef Sanjay Tyagi.
The ambience is very subtle and the music is very soft. Mostly instrumental tracks. Good place to take family out for dinner or lunch as the seating is comfortable and you can have a good conversation here.
For starters we tried out quite a few Vegetarian options and the best was the Tandoori broccoli. Himachali tandoori mushroom was nice too. Aloo chaat was presented really well.
For maincourse we had the Paneer Lababdar and Dal makhni, accompanied with the Ulte Tawe ka Paratha and Jodhpuri Paratha. Ulte tawe ka paratha was slightly on a sweeter note which I liked. One of us tried the Naan too and it was very soft.
The dessert was different, Tandoori Ananas (Grilled Pineapple) served with Vanilla Ice cream which was topped with dry fruits. One of a kind and yummy!
Over all it was a comfort meal and I relished it.

it's a beautiful place. very good ambiance. food was excellent. i order reshmi kebab and shredded chicken and veg fried rice its very good food and service was excellent. all staff was very friendly.
Umerkot is one of the best dining restaurants in Koramanagala or may be in whole Bangalore.
The ambience will really attract you and the staffs are very courteous...
The food is delicious and value for money..
If you are here then don't miss to have Laal Maans, Nalli Afghani and Zafraani Biryani... They are amazing..
Dessert you need to try for - Shaahi Tukda and Hot gulaab jamun.. Mouth watering..
Must visit place.. Go here for the great food and ambience...
Delicious food and quality. Value for money. Only concern they don’t have all dishes in the menu, we can choose only from what is available.
FOOD - 5/5
Quality of the food is excellent. Both veg and non-veg.We ordered Paneer k sooley, Paneer lababdar, Lehsuni naan, Jeera rice, Chooza makhni.Taste was authentic north indian style.
STAFF - 5/5
Staff is friendly
AMBIENCE - 5/5
Elegant ambience.
Personally, I don't bother about ambience until unless restaurant is serving great food. Many road side dhabas & small hotels with very congested seating area serves really amazing food.
COST - 4/5
It’s expensive. But the kind of food they serve, it justifies the price range
Great ambience, excellent non vegetarian food.
The non vegetarian platter is the best to taste a variety of hues.
Biryani is good. Dessert options are decent.
Went with office colleagues and the Director of engineering UBER, total approximately 25 people. With so many people it's quite difficult to judge the quality of restaurant, but I must say they managed well. Ordered probably everything, out of which I don't remember most of the things, but overall taste was good specially the veg dishes were awesome. Some other day maybe with lesser people would be better.
Chef Tyagi's creations are a delight to any foodie, connoisseur or otherwise. Umerkot deserves a mention whenever north indian/punjabi/tandoori cuisine is spoken about in this city.
A vastly underrated place where you will be treated to some of the best food money can buy. I usually benchmark Indian food joints on three parameters a) The quality of Paneer b) the quality of Dal Makhani 3) the use of our Indian spices such as cinnamon and cardamom.
-happy customer
Food was good. Specially nonveg buffet. Ambience was also good. Nice place to visit for couples and families.
We went here around 10.30PM and the staff welcomed us with a beautiful smile and served us efficiently. Food is delicious. We had only veg food. Starters to the main course all dishes were Yummy. It is value for money restaurant.
Fantastic food. Have been coming here for over 10 years. We are vegetarians and have always enjoyed the taste, the quiet dining atmosphere and attention to details. Their starters are the tastiest.
Awesome food, just putting it simply. The chef does lot of experiments and it hits the bulls eye all the time. The sitting can be made more comfortable but food deserves all the marks
Great place, right on the main road with great food. The starters & deserts are simply amazing. The portion size can be increased slightly is something which can be considered by the management. Must go to place & highly recommended.
The first attraction of this place is its name itself UMERKOT.
believe or not you actually will feel it when you there. i was not so impressed with the ambience though (decent fine dining) but let me tell you folks if you are a foodie of indian foods culinary you must try this place.
simply awesome...
Tandoori murgh ke chaanp and gosht nalli afghani with gilafi kulcha was mouth wambling.
ambience - 7/10
service - 9/10
food - 10/10
Peaceful ambience. Interior décor is adapted from mughal designs , reasonable price. Good service.
If you are looking for peaceful and romantic dinner ,this one is must go place.
Chicken in the biryani was not juicy and relatively dry. Quantity was also less compared to price. Their other preparations are very good...
Always a great dining experience here. If you are looking for great north indian non-veg food, look no further. Their Chicken starters are to die for.
