Review Kumarakom - Bengaluru

Naresh Kumar
The food was decent and the ambience was like authentic Kerala style wooden furnitures was one of a kind experience. Had appam, Paratha, kumoraakom chicken curry, kadala curry. Appam stood out clearly, others were decent. If you were in the mood for appam would surely recommend this place.

Really a good place for fish items. Had karimeen mappas and ayala fry Turned out to be good. The prawns biryani also turned out to be decent. Eventhough the items were less what ever served was good. It's a small restaurant and 1-2pm are peak hours

A small dim-lit diner with an old charm and Mollywood songs playing in the background. There wasn’t much crowd. We were informed upfront that the food will take 15mins to be served, but it came pretty early. The Kerala Classics - Puttu, Appam and Kadala curry were authentic in taste and I really loved them. Veg stew was perfect in consistency. Overall - a must try experience for Kerala cuisine lovers.

Searched out this restaurant from Google and made a visit. Didn't get disappointed. We had their special meals which is a miNi sadya and Karimeen pollichathu. Both were good in taste. Only drawback I felt is with the masala of fish pollichathu. Masala was more than needed with pools of oil inside it. That can be improved. All curries provided with meals were good.
Gayathri Davuluri
One of the best places for Kerala food. If you are looking for authentic Kerala Sadhya then Their meals is a must try. Apart from meals tried their fish curry and prawns roast. Fish is so delicious and prawns is okayish. Palada payasam was soooo yummy. You must visit this place for Kerala cuisines.

The new location is not very eye catching and looks less spacious. Food was average and nothing was out of the box. Overall it has jumped to the category of an average restaurant. However I would like to mention the cleanliness and their quick service which was really good.

This restaurant shifted to a new place in HSR now.We had Sadya , Karimeen pollichathu and meat fry here for lunch. Karimeen pollichathu and meat fry was good in taste but the Sadya was average. Good service and staffs were well behaved &courteous .

Very tasty, authentic food. Great and prompt service. Ambience is casual dining.

We had lunch at Kumarakom restaurant, HSR layout todayMay 2024) . We had vegetarian, fish and chicken meals along with beef fry. As usual, we were not disappointed. The vegetarian items were sambar, pulissery, rasam, erissery, chammanthi, pickle, pappadam and semiya payasam. Each item stood out with that inherent Kerala taste. Service is also very good - prompt and polite without too much fanfare. A very pleasant experience .
Pradeep
Small and quaint place serving authentic Kerala food at very reasonable prices. The portions are generous and service is excellent. The only drawback is lack of parking space, for which customers will have to look in the adjoining bylanes.
Jithin R.J.
Place specialising in Kerala dishes. Meat Coconut Fry is good. But I found the pricing to be slightly on the higher side for the taste in general.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was an absolute delight..and I particularly enjoyed the meat roast, which left me craving for more.I can't wait to visit again soon!

One of the restaurants we are closely attached to especially due to the ambience and quality of food. Relaxing environment with good service. We have been regulars to the restaurant for ~ 10 years.

After corona season first time visiting newly relocated kumarakom restaurant. Compared to old place new place have less seating arrangement. I really wondered what happened to the kumarakom which was working in a vast space. Anyway food quality was good.Veg meals was tasty with two types of payasam.

One of the good Kerala food hotel HSR layout..... Bangalore

Great flavors, taste and arrived in chattis (pots). Unique and authentic Kerala dishes enjoyed by the family.

We recently ordered the dumporotta for Eid and boy, were we surprised! The flavours were incredible, the meat was so well cooked and the portions are massive! The spice level was just right. Everyone one in my family absolutely loved it and we are looking forward to ordering again ! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The dum Biryani was just right on spice and flavourful. The BDF was awesome

I have been trying to call the management over a week. The food served was spoilt. The appan was made out of stale batter. I don't understand how they sevre such dishes. It's completely unfair. It would have easily cause food poisoning. I would like to address this to the management at the earliest

Very tasty food.

Ambience - 4/5
Cleanliness 4/5
Food- 4/5
Ambience 3.5/5

Loved the food.. Authentic kerala food.. There was difficulty in getting a parking around
Shilpa
The meals we ordered was a disappointment. It was not hot, did not taste great.. except for sambar there was nothing else I enjoyed.. we asked for hot/warm payasam.. they said they have only cold 😒

True to its name, this place serves authentic Kerala cuisine food. Located opposite to HSR BDA Layout, the place is easily accessible. Parking maybe a problem though.
We visited on a Sunday noon and ordered the Mini Sadhya. It consisted of boiled rice served with Rasam, Sambhar, Morru Curry along with three other accompaniments, papad, pickle and banana chips served on a banana leaf. Also served was two types of payasam.
The staff are very courteous and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food and also saw orders were served relatively quickly for other tables. The prices are worth for the quality and quantity. Definitely a must visit place to try authentic Kerala cuisine.

Very very disappointed with the food. Can't believe an authentic Kerala restaurant can not dish out their own food in in its authentic way. Horrible quality ,bad portion, very average quality. Appam was like normal dosa fish was stale and not fresh. Shocked to see this happening at Kumarakom which used to be my favourite joints to relish Kerala cuisine. Hope they take note of these points and go on a correction mode to revive. Would definitely come back if same is done.

We didn't know about this place until we visited Chennai earlier this month. We were looking for a cozy place to have lunch and found this restaurant in Chennai. We loved the simple veg thali there. My wife insisted on trying the whole menu here and we decided to try a couple of dishes every Sunday. So it's our first Sunday of the kumarakom Sunday marathon. The food is great. Chairs are comfy. The ambience is wonderful, the air smells of spices and there is a light fragrance of shallow fried fish. The food is presented well, I just hoped for more space on the table😁. The payasam made out of jaggery was awesome. I'm going to enjoy December and January 😁

So went on a friday evening. Opening time is 7 and we reached on the dot. What followed was an hour of watery eyes - they were making some onion paste in the kitchen. There were around 9-10 customers and I could see all of them in the same boat - rubbing their eyes with tissues. I kept hoping the situation would get better but there was no respite.
Food prep should be done before you open the restaurant for business, especially if its something containing onion etc.
Last visit to this place. May still order online though.

I became a big fan of kerela food after my trip to kerela. All I was tempting for kerela food I got to hear about this place from one of my friend. I thought O should try. So I ordered kerela paratha, curry curry and crab roast. Crab was spicy but it was good. The interior gives you a vibe of kerela homes. Would definitely visit once again. Thanks for the food.
Md Reza
Ordered food from here today.
Was looking forward to some nice Kerala style meat fry. But it turned out to be a disappointment.
Shabasy
These guys selling biryani by pouring chicken curry into some boiled rice and charging 200+ rupees! I have wasted my 600rs and feeling cheated. Why you put the name "malabar" as prefix to the item? To spoil the name. First eat authentic biryani from somewhere.
Vivek Monnappa
I was feeling very hungry on a Sunday and wanted to have very good meals. Everything I search in zomato would give me a north Indian restaurant. Mannnn...I was feeling what's Bangalore turning into and that's when I came across this restaurant. I have had fish curry meals before so I was having a good feeling abt it and also my fiance told that she had been to this restaurant in chennai and it was great.

So we went in and and the ambience was typical malabar style. Roof painted maroon to give a antique look and soft malayalam music reminds me of my granny! Dish wise, I had to try karimeen pollichatu. It came as a signature dish and with a personal recommendation :P. Also ordered leg soup, fish curry meals. She ordered Kerala parota and chicken curry.

The preparation and presentation of karimeen was superb. Honestly, if u like Kerala cuisine, u will like this. The masala and the fish was delicious. The spices wrapped in the banana leaf and those tender meat was something special. V both had one each and loved it. The boiled rice with fish curry was good. They had provided varieties of curries and I could not hold myself back and had another round :D. Apparently, parota and chicken curry was average. By the time I finished 2 rounds of meals, she was still struggling to finish her quota!

Food 4.5/5
Ambience 4.5/5
Service 4/5

Overall, I liked what I had. Maybe this is my appetite talking. But if u truly like Kerala cuisine, u should definitely try this restaurant.

The Nadan Vibe with the authentic nadan food just hit me like a storm when I visited Kumarakom. I personally am not a fan of veg food but the dishes on the Onam Sadhya called out to me and I can’t believe I ate all those vegetables at once. A beautiful place to spend time with family and friends. This restaurant is among my Top 3 Go to places.
Neetu Joshua
Extremely disappointing.....basis my first experience here (which was pretty good), we came in here again but the quantity compared to the price was unexpectadely less and we had to literally dive into the gravy to search for chunks 😑
Never ever recommended....
But yes the parotta is really good...meat items never preferred.....

Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu.. but when asked, only tuna was available for the day apart from prawns.

So we ordered a special veg meals with prawn ularthiyadu, beef fry and beef pepper roast. Everything tasted really good. The beef was a bit hard for me but it was good to have a proper oonu after a long time.

Being a Keralite I tend to take-away or dine-in at this restaurant very frequently. The ambiance, food and service at this restaurant has always been good.
Sam 65835
They serve the best Karimeen Polichathu. But they experimented today. It was the worst we have ever had here. No consistency in serving the best they used to serve. Your experience will depend on luck.
Allen Thomas
I kept my cool when they served watery sambar ,but the pic has small cockroach in it which i have kept in the side of my plate and the restaurant boys had no idea how to deal with me after finding the cockroach on my plate and without any shame they gave the bill ..
K Nandakumar
This is a place we frequent very often for lunch and dinner, take away. But today’s experience for dinner was very bad. Food was not tasting good at all, cockroaches in the table, very poor service... overall very bad experience... will think twice before recommending.. the food and service has been deteriorated for some time now..
Visited the place with family and were extremely disappointed with the Fish & Chicken Curry meals that we had at the restaurant. All the curries were watery and had insufficient salt.
Rohit Menon
Kerala Food then this is the place! Best one in town! Try the fish and the prawn, no regrets!
Stay away from the Chinese and north Indian food as its nit their cup of tea.
The Veggie Pooja
When we think of Kerala sadya, it's Kumarakam restaurant is what comes to our mind, beautiful ambience, good service, reasonable price ( for veg 😁).They have recently started 'Pothichoru'...which is like really popular now, you will have to preorder it, if you want to try it..
Naveen Agarwal
This was my first visit to Kumarakom and I am certain by now that it will certainly not be the last.. Was craving for some traditional Kerala meal and luckily found this place..Had ordered a Fish Meal... I must say this was one of the best Kerala meals I had in recent times .. the Sambar was outstanding and had a more than generous quantity of vegetable like Unpeeled Raw Banana, Fat Drumsticks, Gourd and Pumpkin.. just the way I like ... the tuna fish curry was good too.. Overall a place to visit again & again..
Rohitha
Pathetic place!I I went there on my husband’s bday and prior to going there I had called and confirmed whether they serve meals fr lunch. The restaurant has no ac,the waiters were clueless abt wt is available.I had to place order with 3 dfrnt waiters and when I got the meals all I got was rice n sambar ,after repeatedly asking them if there’s anything else that they forgot to serve, they brought papad n pickle! When I told them meals is incomplete (as I am a Malayali myself I knw wt is served) they said everything else got over.I could hear other customers complaining abt their service.I complained to the manager who said nothing but stared at me as if he doesn’t knw wts going on,they didn’t even apologise once,my husband never such bad experience frm a restaurant before! I would have ordered something else or gone to a dfrnt restaurant had I known that they really don’t care abt customers.Pls don’t go to this restaurant and embarrass yourself.
Steffi DCosta
Slow service. Poorly ventilated. ACs do not work and table fans are used which are not sufficient.
Food wise, it's decent but cost is on a higher side. Waiters at times have difficulty explaining about the dish when asked
Coolmangs22
Dropped in for family dinner, although t AC wasn’t working we had to be part of wait list, it says t restaurant is good. Food was fresh, aappam were prepared In open kitchen, mutton ghee roast, Kadla curry were uptothe mark. Kids loved the chicken fry and their veg meals(sides were too good) Kerala paratha with Nandan kozhi curry was awesome. Overall a decent priced authentic restaurant.
Mahendra Gangadharan
Used to be a lot better. Standards have come down drastically. Seem to be running mostly on nostalgia. Authenticity is compromised. So is taste
ChoLena Nashan
We're too tired to go out for dinner and ordered home delivery - beef pepper fry and meat biryani . Disappointed to the core . They have dumped too much spice in pepper fry and cloves in biryani . Couldn't eat one mouthful . Never going to order from here ever again . We had to settle for bread and jam for the night . It is way way toooo spicy . Nobody could eat . Sigh
Ajith S
Had high expectations going back after a very long time. There was a time when their outlets in Chennai were good. That is sadly not the case anymore. Almost everything we had except the fish curry was below par. The meat dishes were very poor. And on top of that service was slow .. took more than 30 mins to serve. Seems they had a lot of takeaway orders and those were given priority.
Priithviraj Deb
Quantity are less according to price.. irachi varu curry.. dissatisfaction to quantity to giving 2 star.. when I call them they are silence as if they already know they are doing this for online order ..
Mayuri Bansal
Restaurant located near BDA, HSR. It serves Kerala cuisine. Refreshing taste. Serene ambiance. Good service. Went for weekend afternoon lunch, crowd was overwhelming. We ordered veg meal (unlimited). Ingredients and taste had sense of freshness in it. Good visit. Fine dine-in. Pricing is reasonable. Wide menu for both veg and non-veg options.

As soon as I entered the old wood wired chair and wood ceiling made me nostalgic, reminded me of my granny's old house. It was pleasant nostalgic feeling.

Food

Vegetable Stew 4/5
It's most famous Kerala cuisine which is enjoyable combination of western and Indian preparation.

Kozhi Kurumalaku Ularthiyathu 3.5 / 4
Different version of paper chicken, with feel of coconut.

Biryani 3.5 / 5
Well cooked and differently prepared biryani.

Service 4/5

Ambience 4 / 5

Must go place whenever want to go for Authentic Kerala Food.

The ambience is perfect....you get a grandmother's house feeling....
The food was amazing....we decided to go with the Thali and it was superb... authentic Kerela food .. nice place would recommend for the fish
Namratha
vibe here is really good with some good music around. A good one for kerala food lovers. Loved it and would recommend to my friends aswell. .
Indu P.R
So disappointed with the service. I had ordered a pothi choru from Kumarakom and as it is evident from the photo attached the fish piece was cut in half(not even half, infact!) with hand after preparing as seen in the photo.I have a humble request to you. If you find it less profitable to include a full fish, please make it without fish and charge us accordingly. But please do not put any leftover kind of thing and deliver to your customers!!
Aradhana Chakrabarty
Craving for authentic Kerala cuisine?? Visit this place. Loved their thali with a side of fried fish. The fish was fresh and satiated our taste buds completely. Staff is polite. Overall a good experience and worth visiting again
Aster Colin Veigas
Good food and hygiene really good. Good options for both veg and non veg. At times you have to wait long for someone to take your order. Ambience is decent
Jinsha Jaganath
Wondering why I did not visit this place till now.
Visited on a holiday afternoon with family.
Ambience was amazing with old Malayalam music in the background..loved it ..:-)
We ordered sadya ,netholi fry ,Kerala style pepper chicken and chicken biriyani ..
Loved all of it . Biriyani wasn't the best malabar biriyani we get in Bangalore, but it had the right flavours.
The service was also quick .
Would definitely recommend this place if you love Kerala cuisine.
Chethana
The fish was absolutely amazing and the meals was great. Do order the sadyam if you are here during the weekends and meals if you are here on the weekdays and spice it up with a fish starter.
Apoorva
We had ordered from this place.
Didn’t like it very much, wasn’t very authentic.
The Kerala parotas weren’t that great, it was too thin, just over stretched. Appam could do a little better work, but it tasted good.
Egg curry didn’t taste anything like the ones that we get in Kerala or near it’s border. But it was good in its own way, just that I was expecting it to be a little more Kerala like.
Kritikanair05
Left over is been served by the restaurant I get this food delivered when I ordered fish meals.
And there is no response taken by the restaurant about my complain
Peetus Augustine
A great place for kerala food. We had meat roast, chicken roast and kerala parathas.
The food tasted great and we had no complaints.
Reminded us of authentic kerala food.
The only minor complaint was that they messed up the Sulaimani Tea we asked for but that was a minor hitch when you look at the grand scheme of things.
Worth a visit.
Hemalatha S G
A great place to experience authentic Kerala food and vibe while in Bangalore. The place with its low wooden ceilings and Malayalam music in the background offers a great way to soak in the Kerala culture.

We ordered Karimeen Pollichathu, which is marinated fish wrapped in banana leaves. It was easily one of the best fish dishes I have eaten in my life. The spices used created the perfect taste and I could have easily eaten 2 servings of this dish. For main course we ordered Appam and Chicken Ghee Roast. The masala used in this curry is simply mind-blowing.

Their buttermilk as a beverage is good too.

Definitely going there for more of their Kerala delicacies.
Ramandeep Singh
Really good kerala style non vegetarian food with proactive and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good meal.
Shekhil Hassan
Nice restaurant to dine in. Authentic kerala cuisine and I loved their interior and lighting. Yummy kadala curry and fish mulakilittathu. Loved their food and ambience. Visit here with ur loved ones, you will love it. I went here for dinner and tried their puttu appam kadala curry and meen curry and veg stew. Except veg stew all others were super yum! :)

Nice place to have Authentic Kerala Food in a decorated, luxury style ambience. The restaurant’s interiors r designed to resemble that of a naalukett... It is a bit dark, situated in the first floor.
The food’s tasty. Had Porotta, Chicken Varattu arachad and Beef Fry. Chicken Varattu arachad was nice. Beef fry quantity was less while Porotta was fine. But not the best though. Lime soda was a let off as the soda had very lil gas.
The pricing is reasonable, more to the expensive side though.
Service is ok. Neither tooo bad or tooo goood.
Parking is a headache as the main road is a no parking zone.
Roshni Rajendra
Good place to go if you're craving a Sadhya. They have this special lunch sadhya on the weekends, which is very tasty.
It's light, easy on the spices and tastes like home-cooked food, sometimes.
I enjoy eating their karimeen and matti, although I've been served weird fish once. Last few times the experience has been good.
Tom Anto
Not much good. Over priced. No value for the money. I don't know why they are doing like this. I am not recommending this place. Nothing more....

Craving for some authentic kerala cuisines? This os one of the easy options available in the locality. Ordered a Fish Moilee with Kerala Parotta. Must say, the dish made my day. Might not be the dish for someone who doesn’t like the taste of coconut milk. Ghee Roast Chicken tasted decent. Could have been a little less spicy. Would visit the place again to try the other dishes.

Ambience: 3/5
Food: 4/5
Staff: 4/5
Price: ₹₹

P.S: Cutlery needs some cleaning, especially the glasses.
Bumblimoose
Good authentic Kerala food. Amazing non veg and veg options. Personally recommend their Kerala meals, appams, porottas, and biriyanis. Their sea food is delightfully too. Ambiance is very different, dim lights and calm music. Love going there. The place is clean but the only and main problem I have found going there for the last few years was that their cook seems to change in certain days and so does the taste of the dishes which is sad. And they used to have a policy where they were not open on Sundays which is another bummer glad to see that had changed. But I'll recommend this place for Kerala food any day. Best option in Hsr.
Hari Krishnan
Terrible Kerala food. This is not even close to authentic Kerala cuisine. Absolutely bland and terrible flavours. If this is what people believe Kerala cuisine is and they like this I don’t know what they’ll feel when they will actually have the authentic stuff. Moreover the food felt old, dry and there is lack of freshness. Tried out the Fish curry meals, Prawns Ularthiyathu. Both were boring and bland.
FYI: I’m from Kerala and my mom makes Kerala food 100x better than them.
Saideep K
Pretty good Kerala Restaurent.

Must try :
1) Coconut Beef fry. This is generally there as their today special item. This goes very well with Kerala parota or meals.
2) Netholi fry
3) Kerala parota with Chicken roast. Nice combo

Normal veg Meals is good enough and you can order some non veg curry with it.

Non-veg meals is ok.
Nandita Mohan
I love the food at Kumarakom! Challenge is the quantity , I feel it’s too less. I ordered thrice from the place and everytime food was less! Have only tried the mallu food, which was pretty good! Porottas are nice and big !:)
SiAdVi
We went for Onam Sadhya yesterday. We had pre booked for the sadhya. It was very chaotic. They made us go from 1st floor to 4th floor, then to ground floor and again to 1st floor as there wer lot of confusions. Food was cold and number of items were less.
Midhun
Quantity is less...
Sean D'Silva
Decent place to eat some Kerala cuisine. It's pretty crowded on weekends. There was a queue when we arrived. The meals were a little cold, but nevertheless tasty. The service could be improved, they're reactive to customers needs. They can get more proactive with their service.
Savio Noronha
too much corn flour in the chilli chicken. but fried rice is too good
NehaTheFoodJunkie
I have the same rotation of food every time I go here and I’ve loved them every time . The place loses a star because it has a damp smell ( maybe all that wood?) and it’s quite dark during the day time.

Must haves:
Kozi Varutharacha with Kerala Parota
Chicken stew with Appam
Chicken lollipop ( a strange choice for a Kerala restaurant but I love it!)
Well, what would you say, if you get an amazing sleep after having a delicious meal? You say, you Burpppps ...

The place that redefines Kerala food.
Tony Edwin
This is the place to be to ensure ur Malayali taste buds have a feast!! The meal is great! The beef roast is my pick on the menu! The service is a tad bit slow..but the food and experience makes up for it!! The ambience is very authentic Kerala! Would be great to see a few chef specials which would be different weekly just to get an extra kick of the spices and delicacies!
Praveen Babu
sadya is never complete without papad
rasam should taste like one
Anil Raj
awesome food but the price is little higher
Shashank Verma
A good nice Kerala food.
How authentic, I'm not the right person to comment. I'll leave it on my Malayali friends to decide.
But definitely tasty and mouth watering food.
Good, neat and clean interior and soothing ambiance.
Not much crowded.

Nup not happening... Not a nice place for dining.. food too costly tastes just ok... V ordered Kerala food as I went in their with a Mallu guy... He himself was not happy with the food. N ya no finger bowl, no green chutney served for dry onion prawns which hd onions more than prawns. Ordered some Kerala special soup(don't remember the exact name) confirmed with the guy if it's vl b thick soup n he said YES!!!Guess what!!! The soup was thin with just few chicken pieces n lot of pepper!!! M done with this place😕
Siddharth Mohanty
Felt the place to be just ok. Cleanliness is surely a concern. Lot of dishes are not available including lime juice or cold drinks. Lots of improvement scope.
Saneesh P K
NEVER ORDE FOOD FROM HERE, YOU WILL GET 100 DEGREE CELSIUS BOILING CURRY IN LOW QUALITY PLASTIC BOX, EVEN AFTER MENTIONED TO USE ALUMINIUM COVER.DAMN DISAPPOINTED
Priscilla Lavanya
Superb
Pradeep
waste food
Krishna Chandran
Authentic Kerala restaurant. Especially good for Kerala style food including fish and chicken. Their appam and chicken stew or roast is my favorite. Try different varieties of fish like karimeen pollichathu, Ayala fry etc. Lighting can be improved, it's dark inside and it makes it difficult while eating fish. The ambience is good and you feel that you are inside traditional Kerala nalukettu
Jayaraj C
Worst experience…. Will never visit again……

We ordered one Chicken soup for my son but we got vegetable soup hardly found any chicken in it. So I just complained to waiter Mr. Aneesh about this. Immediately he replaced the soup with so called soup with chicken pieces put in ginger water paste .I felt like it was a punishment for complaining about the soup. The staff Aneesh was so rude , arrogant ..He kept arguing … Could not tolerate him anymore .I was with my in laws and kids…So I did not create a scene and left the dishes as such without having them and paying the full bill…other turn offs No AC working, lazy and careless staff, very less quantity, Overpriced, No one picks the telephone call,no salad…I think the reviews in the internet are paid reviews and we got deceived by choosing this hotel for authentic Kerala food. Treatment you get will make you remember this hotel forever.
Sunil P. Naik
Parathas were not fresh at all,it was stale.. quality of food has gone down. And we didn't get the restaurant bill.
Dharmesh Mistry
Had been to this place 3 years ago and it has surely deteriorated in service.
Food was tasty and portions were good enough (not too much)
The place must have had about 20% occupancy and there was enough number of staff, yet no attention being paid by the staff. Even when we ordered sweet dish, the used plates were not cleared and we had to clear the space for the sweet dishes ourselves.
The place had no air conditioning and there was no notice to warn patrons that the AC was under repairs.
Sorry to see the place going down...

I found this restaurant on Swiggy and was happy to know that it’s authentic Kerala restaurant and I went ahead and ordered Kerala meals and egg curry and parathas! Trust me it was really really good and tasted to perfect on a Monday afternoon! Am sad to see that this restaurant has so much negative reviews! I would surely re order the food from this place again since it is close to my house in HSR and I really loved the food you guys served me though it was a delivery it tasted fresh and good!
Anup M
Ordered wheat porotta and a few beef dishes for delivery. All the the three beef dishes came dripping in rancid tasting oil. The wheat porotta also seemed very oily. Extremely disappointed.

delicious and well packed

kumarakom food we are regular visitors from years. but this time very bad experience. very spicy that kids could not eat it.

On a friday afternoon, our office gang decided to visit this place. To start with, I ordered the conventional cuisine of Kerala 'the appams' and accompanied them with veg stew. Though the place is meant for sea-food, I couldn't take the chance being an eggatarian. I think, those were the best appams I had in a while winning over my last Kochi experience.

The appams were extremely soft & light, provoking to order more. Tried their egg appams too. They turned to be delicious. Then, followed with unlimited veg meal alongside an omelette for munching. I should say 'Yummy' and a happy tummy to start the weekend.

For the said Menu, weekday can be a best visit for better service and to be light on pocket. My experience was pleasant during weekday visits as I was paid enough attention.Otherwise, it gets crowded and offerings do get limited/change during weekend.

My friends tried some sea food delicacies and they enjoyed their meal too.

Only flaw and a turn-off was their air conditioning, not up to the mark. Inspite of informing them, the nature around us that day was no mood to cooperate since the staff could do nothing than accepting that it was not functioning properly!

Ambience - 3/5
Pocket - Decent
Service - 3.5/5
Taste - 4/5
Visit - Worth
This place isn't what used to be! Food is very average. The service is just bad. So many servers milling about, but to get the attention of someone to order or anything else, you'll need to keep your arms up hoping someone notices you.

A decent Kerala restaurant in HSR layout. Being a vegetarian, I have enjoyed puttu kadala as well as the aappam and veg stew combinations here on several occasions. Service is ok and the taste of food not consistent. On some occasion the food was piping hot and tasty while on other occasion the food was cold and not up to the mark.
