Pashto is one of the best mughlai authentic restaurant across the Bangalore 🔥 Pashto - the original muglai chef, truly brings you the culture and food of Mughal empire. This restaurant is located in residency road. Small interms of space, but the looks and the rich interiors of mughal culture which is handmade are really outstanding. Started ordering from the menu by shikanji, a lemon drink. Then got to the starters, Paneer shahi sultani - a Vegetarian's delight, the vegetables are stuffed and sandwiched between paneer, this one is of ultimate taste. it is very different from normal tandoor paneer. Kumbh khazana - a mushroom starter, where in it is stuffed with spinach and cheese, and barbequed. taste was good. Irani murgh tikka - chicken is topped with cheese, this is my favourite starter. the tikka was boneless and it was very soft. Mutton seekh kebab - this one had a great taste, it is recommended to be tried with kulcha. And don't forget to try their chutneys, specifically aaam ka murabba.🔥 Main course, Indian breads included, plain naan, butter naan, paratha, ajwain kulcha, kaabuli naan. kaabuli naan is a must try, it is little sweet amd has got unique taste. Videshi subz - vegetarian, this one was good it is semi gravy, it has got more of the vegetables in it. Daal makhani - vegetarian, it was perfectly cooked and it tasted well with the breads. Butter chiceken - it was having a different pashto touch to it, it tasted very differently and it was very good, a must try gravy. Biryani, Signature dum ghost biryani - as a signature pashto dish it was very nicely presented and it had unique aroma, tasted heavenly, a must try on the menu. it was served with burhani raita which was great in taste. Desserts, phirni, gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun. phirni was the one which attracted my tastebuds, it was very good, it is a must try dessert. overall, Paneer shahi sultani, Irani murgh tikka, kaabuli naan, ghost biryani, and phirni are a muat try food on the menu. 📌A worth visiting place with your family, Total family fine diner 💯.

A wise man once said “Live to Eat”. There are numerous new restaurants that have launched this year yet only a selected few tend to stand out. Pashto is one such Hidden Gem located on Residency Road. Pashto is an Iranian language. This place serves dishes that speak for themselves and are fit for the Pathans which everyone can relish . Indeed a tribute to the region of Persia where biryani and kebabs originated. Food- Fantastic. Impeccable Quality. Impressive Presentation. Variety of authentic Mughlai Cuisine options on the menu to choose from, each absolutely delicious. Starters are appetizing. The different types of exemplary Chutneys served along with it are Top notch as well. The Zaafraani Murg Tikka is phenomenal. Juicy, marinated brilliantly and perfectly grilled in the tandoor. Irani Murg Tikka is remarkable with an outburst of flavours that excite the palate. Loved the cheese and vegetables topping. Mutton Dum Biryani is Incredible. Aromatic Long Rice With succulent pieces of meat and potato mixed well in an excellent masala. One of the best Lucknowi Style Biryani I’ve had. My favorite and highly recommended. Indian breads especially the Ultae Tawae Ka Paratha was soft and fabulous. Chicken Peshawari Gravy is Exceptional. Piquant, zesty, Rich and creamy with the right texture, taste and thickness. But shawarma was ordinary and can be improved. The Galawati Kebab is average, not the usual melt in the mouth. (9/10) Ambience- Amazing decor. Well planned elegant layout. Spacious arrangement. A royal Mughal architectural design with domes and arches which adds to the attractive look. Marvellous Chandeliers that are unique and innovative. Beautiful Hand Paintings on the walls and roof having intricate details and bright colours. Spectacular Moroccan tiles on the table. Exquisite Persian theme. Comfortable chairs and sofas for seating. Great music and air conditioning. (9/10) Service- Splendid. Wonderful Hospitality. Staff is attentive, courteous, polite and well trained. It gives a feeling of a superb Quintessential fine dining experience. Waiters are quick, efficient and knowledgeable. However no valet parking facility available. Nevertheless, you can find place in the lane beside. (8/10) Overall- (9/10) Truly a delightful experience that exceeded expectations. Affordable rates. Economical and pocket friendly pricing with value for money. I am sure it will create cravings. A really satisfying meal. Will definitely visit again.

If you want to try some afghani and mughlai food. Pashto is a must visit in bangalore. We ordered 1. Mutton galwati kebab 2. Butter nan, ajwain kulcha 3. Murgh peshawari 4. Firni . 1. Galawati kebab was the showstopper. It was tender and full of flavours. Perfect starter. One thing that I need to mention is the paratha which are served with it. They were super tasty. 2. Murgh peshawari was good and going well with ajwayini kulcha 3. Last but not the least, for the dessert firni was good. Not much extraordinary but tasted good. . Overall review. Food- 4/5 Ambience- 4/5 Value for money- 4/5 Service- 4/5 Follow our instagram page @tripsntreats01 for more updates

Pashto means the language of the Pashtuns, which belongs to the Iranian group. It is the official language of Afghanistan and is also spoken in northern areas of Pakistan. Such a unique name, but apt for a restaurant serving Mughlai Cuisine, with a few twists of modernity in a ambiance with heavy Persian & Mughal influence. The beautiful lanterns, hand painted ceilings & walls, with beautiful handmade Rajasthani tile tables, elevated you into a different era, however a touch of modernity keeps you grounded. Coming to the food, we started off with a Shikanji, very different from what I have had previously. Strong lemon flavours in a beautiful cold spice mix. Very refreshing for a slightly warm Bangalore evening. To tee off the dinner we were presented with a shot of Yakhni Shorba, which had beautiful Mutton flavours with a strong hit of pepper & an after taste of a spice that am still trying to recollect. It was served in the right temperature for us to savour it, without comprising on the flavours. Next came the recommended array of Kebabs. I started off with the Irani Murgh Tikka, with a bit of a twist. It was the humble, flavourful Chicken Tikka with a topping of bell peppers & cheese. It kind of gave me a feeling of eating a nice chicken tikka Pizza, but was wonderful that we had to ask for a second serving. The Signature Galouti Kebabs were served atop a small portion of Ultae Tawa ki Paratha, essentially a melt in your mouth Mutton Kebab on top of a deep fried mini disc parantha. The contrasting crisp paratha with the balanced spices on the mince was a wonderful play of textures & flavours. The Mutton Seekh Kebabs were served on a bed of Roti, was flavours with something that am not familiar on the usual mince Kebab you usually find elsewhere. Very different from the Galouti, but equally delicious, & the slightly strong mint & lemon flavours (I guess) in the spice mix made the right difference. For mains we had a few rotis with Murg Peshawari & Nalli Nihari. We had huge options to choose from the wide Indian breads menu. Our choices were the Kaabuli Naan, Pudina Naan, Ajwain Kulcha, Lacha Paratha. For someone who doesn’t favour sweets, the Kaabuli Naan was more like a dessert for me, I would have loved to wrap it around a dollop of gulgand & eat as my dessert. It was a strong & rich combination of roasted fennel, & cashews, though I avoided it, the rest of the group loved it with their Nihari. I enjoyed the Nalli Nihari & Murgh Peshawari gravies with my new favourite Ajwain Kulcha. Both gravies had a strong sense of the meat flavours, without any overpowering spice, with infused sweetness only from cardamom & very balanced. If I had to (forcefully) pick a winner, the Nalli Nihari was the best. It was time for the Biriyani & it came with so much drama. Neatly packed in a Dum, with an engraving of the official Mascot, well that was a first. When the drama unfolded, with the aroma, we could get a glimpse of the beautiful long grained Biriyani secretly hiding all the ghosht goodness. Our anticipation grew as it was being served to us. The meat was perfectly cooked & blended beautifully with the well cooked rice. Definitely a very different take on the usually bland Lucknowi Awadh styled Pakhi Biriyani. After a very delightful dinner, we were requested to try their signature desserts as well, which we reluctantly agreed with a promise to share small portions of their offering. The Phirni on earthen Bowl was perfect to my liking with a balanced sweetness, and a mild hit of cardamom. Next best was the Gajar ka halwai, with a slightly unimpressive Gulab Jamoons. Overall a great hearty meal, that I would highly recommend for anyone who loves Mughlai cuisine, with a surprising twist here and there.

A relatively new place, just 5 months old in the market located bang opposite to Nagarjuna Hotel on Residency Road is here to stay for the right reasons. One look at this place from outside resembles a burger joint but once you get inside you are bowled by the beautiful ambience and apt lighting. This place can accommodate around 35-40 pax at a time. Started the evening with refreshing Jal Jeera-must try. Next was the YAKHNI SHORBA-served in a tea glass this Shorba was one of the best have tried of late.It tingles your taste buds, runs down your throat burning apt with the aftertaste of the spices.WOW. The starters tried were: 1.Irani Murgh Tikka-a wonderful dish prepared with love and passion and of course the right spices, done to perfection 2.Mutton Seekh Kebab-Oh My Food...Star dish of the evening. So soft and juicy it just melts in your mouth. The Roti to go along with the dish substitutes it well.Way to go Chef!! 3.Pashto’s Signature Galawati Kebab -also a Signature dish doing justice to its name.Must try.The taste is so mesmerising that you will be yearning for more😋 4.Paneer Shahi Sultaani -One of the few places where they have got the dish just right.Too good, well done. The main course included: 1.Murgh Makhani -a joy to have with right amount of cream. The chicken was well cooked with the right spices to give a wonderful taste and presentation. 2.Pashto’s Signature Nalli Nihari- a dish must try. Compliments well with the Indian bread basket. 3.Butter Naan-too good 4.Kabuli Naan-must Try.DIFFERENT. A out of the world imagination in Naan..Wow...hats off chef for the wonderful imagination 5.Paratha Pudina/Ultae Tawae ki Paratha/Kulcha Aljwin -all good. At par with any place you can think of. 6.Pashto’s Signature Gosht Biryani -honestly a let down... have tasted better Biryani...Sorry chef need to get it right... too bland, mutton not cooked to perfection and not too tempting too. 7.Murgh Dum Biryani -could be better . The desserts included: 1.Phirni-wow...superb.Heaven on Earth in taste ...tooooooo good.Must Try 2.Gulab Jamun- best avoid please. Not sweet enough nor jamun fried inside to perfection. 3.Gajar Ka Halwa-Again a lovely dessert whipped up by the passion to succeed. Wow... must try foodies.. The service was tardy with a lot of time taken to serve from starters to main course to Desserts.Better service if provided can attract repeat customers.Staff polite and friendly. Meal for 2 costs around Rs 800/-. Cards accepted. A fine dining experience, not kid friendly. Parking a major headache for cars in particular . As of me,will be definitely back for more and more.

Pashto - name is the attractive thing for me by the way I don't know literal meaning of same. Situated right opposite to Nagarjuna on residency road so no problem in finding the place. The cuisine is Lucknowi and they are cooking it up to the mark. Some may find the dishes bland or sweet. But the cuisine is like that and as per my knowledge they are serving very very close to authentic food. In starters I have ordered Seekh kebab which was soft and tasty. I can't ask for more in my life. With that served morabba and muli ki chutney which is very new for me and I can try again and again. Nalli nihari with naan is just like heaven. You must try it because I am not able find any words to describe that. Biryani with potatoes the speciality of the lucknowi biryani. Phirni was awesome rishi finished it full. Bon Appetit Chef BB

Delicious food, nice ambience and decor. The choices they offer for vegetarians are limited, but quite good. The pulao is good, and the paneer kurchan is quite delicious, with the burnt taste of sigree

Pashto may be derived from pushtu , the language of Afghani people. just beside Meghna food .. this place is a gem . shorba : yakhni shorba everyone should order here .. believe me this is one of the finest shorba I hv had in Bangalore ... comes in a small glass instead of bowl .. richness of the shorba will blow your mind. Nalli nihari : definitely not at per with Delhi's haji shabraati ka nihari but may be of the best in town . if not the best . lamb barrah . mouthwatering and tender lamb shank is to die for. galawti kabab : don't compare with tunday . have it . it is worth trying .. and lastly their kulfi ... try out ... I didnt like their Chicken dishes but they are not bad at all .. may be slightly downgrade in comparison to their lamb dishes. PS : don't miss the shorba . (yakhni ) ambiance :4.5
