Had been here a couple of times hearing great things about this restaurant. <br/>The first time had been here with my family and the place was quite buzzing. The food was really nice and we had a great time.<br/>The second time we had a mix up in our dishes, but the restaurant was quite apologetic and were courteous enough to waiver off the dishes from the bill.<br/>Overall a nice place.

One weekend we decided to enjoy some good Punjabi style meal. And we choose oye Amritsar at J.P Nagar. It's generally crowded on weekends but we were lucky enough to get table within 10 mins of waiting. <br/><br/>The inside is dim lit ambience with one glass through which you can the see the outside beauty. <br/><br/>The staffs are friendly and helpful. They take care of all your requests.<br/><br/>Coming to food it heavenly we ate so much that my stomach was about to explode๐Ÿ˜…. And above that patiala style lassi๐Ÿคฉ.<br/>Some of the dishes we tried <br/>Masala papad<br/>Hara bhara kabab<br/>Dal makhani
Amit Singh Bhadauriya
As a brand and the price they charge , I had better expectation from this place. <br/><br/>I found this place a bit shady , ambience was not good (1 out of 5) . Again they don't have enough parking space , so if you r a family , you should manage your parking at some other place I guess.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, the worst dal makhni I had ever. It was red in color , I even asked captain and he started justifying .<br/><br/>Taste was horrifying , it seems they add some preservatives etc ...<br/><br/>Overall I won't recommend this place .. its more like oonchi dukan ke feeke pakwaan ..

Absolutely Did not like the subz birayani and panner starter and subji..the masala chaas and lassi and chicken were good.had a ordered a regular chicken for the only non-veggie in our group but was charged a large one which the staff argued that a large one was ordered and delivered which soured the experience a bit more!!!Given a plate of jelabi for it..so half a star more.
Shweta S K
Expect the curry to be like melting in mouth if we go by the Oye Amritsar standards and the price they charge.<br/>We were four and could manage to get only two piece of paneer each and capsicum.
Eshan
worst food we ever had. entire food was overcooked. maha maha maha maha maha maha bakwass khana
Shashi Dhar
Oye amritsar JP nagar.... your Reputation may good, but this time they took order for Buffet and they forcibly served to table even though we requested 4 to 5 times to arrange food in Buffet style. Really we did not enjoy the food , such a careless service, it was a huge disappointment for us. They serve few items which are not in Buffet menu and later they charged for that. Few of my colleges reviews are deleted , how this is possible ???? Is Zomato responsible for that ??
Gaurav Khare
Its listed as bestseller... really? Then you don't get the meaning of it.<br/>Too tiny jalebis which didn't taste like jalebi at all.ย <br/>Rabdi was just plain malai and if you cal that rabdi, god help you.
Akshat Pareek
Suppose to be a high end Indian restaurant but the staff turned out to be extremely low end. The restaurant is expensive !!! Ordered a full 4 course meal however , was not served complimentary salad even though I requested for it !!! Now I understand that all the budget restaurants and small sized restaurants have cut down on onions as itโ€™s become expensive , but if your calling yourself the best North Indian restaurant chain in Bangalore , at least maintain your standards and serve salad upon request , a plate of basic salad should not cost you so much ! When settling the bill We asked the server if we could pay through Dineout , but they were adamant that they would not accept it !! If u cannot accept dineout , get urself off the listing please! To compensate for the bad experience , the server offered complimentary jalebi, which we would not accept !! Finally left the place with a bad experience. Will never come back here again !!

Very nice food and service

I had heard a lot good things about Oye Amritsar, but it was a huge disappointment for us. Staff was unprofessional, they were not responding to demands properly and were in too hurry to take up the order. They wanted us to order at a stretch because preparing food was gonna take a lot of time. We almost waited an hour for 1st dish to be served on plate.<br/>We ordered dal makhani ๐Ÿ‘, Tawa Chaap Masala ๐Ÿ‘, Panner tikka, Chicken Tikka, Boneless Butter Chicken๐Ÿ‘Ž and Peshawari Boneless chicken ๐Ÿ‘ but all were served with bone. Note: they use lot of artificial colour in preparing gravy.<br/>One thing to be noted, they have a new menu and most of the dishes are not available.
Pujaa Ramani
The butter chicken was way too sweet. Although staff tried to make it better upon complaining but they hardly could do anything about the sweetness. Good was OK OK. Ambience too ok ok
Ankur Mathur
There is nothing amritsari about this place. The food is average and at par/below any other north Indian place in Bangalore. The service is extremely slow and the staff is rude and ignores people when asked abt delay in everything.
Divansh Goel
Do not dine in here. Pathetic place, pathetic food, best of all they expect you to order all at once

๐Ÿ‘Ambience๐Ÿ‘ - The restaurant which is situated on the second floor has yellow soothing lighting. They have wooden chairs and table for dining. The walls are filled with Punjabi Slangs but the music is not Punjabi. They serve the food in steel plates<br/><br/>Staff - Staff is polite and courteous but the service is very slow. They are well dressed but not in ethnic Punjabi dress.ย <br/><br/>๐Ÿ‘ŽOffers & Service Charge๐Ÿ‘Ž - 1. The restaurant is not accepting Magicpin discount Voucher displayed in Magicpin app.ย <br/>2. Do the Dineout app booking before coming to the restaurant, otherwise the staff will eat your brains out.ย <br/>3. The restaurant don't inform about service charge prior to billing which is unethical. As a customer, you have legal right to refuse paying service charge even after the bill with service charge included is generated.ย <br/><br/>Food - The food decently matches to the Punjabi cuisine and is not too spicy. Although they use syntheticย  food colour in dishes which is not a healthy option.ย  Unlike other Punjabi restaurants they don't onions with the dishes. Rather the restaurant charges a whooping Rs 75 for 6 round slices on onion in the name of green salad.ย <br/><br/>1.ย  Sarson ka Saag ( Main Course )ย ๐Ÿ˜‹ - The saag was creamy, leafy and has decent taste of mustard tadka or flavoring. You can good taste of Punjabi spices but they will not overpower the dish.ย <br/>Rating - 3.5/5<br/><br/>2.ย  Makke ki Roti ( Breads )ย  - The roti is soft and has taste of corn flour. But the flour seemed to be mixed with normal wheat flour. They had unsalted butter although it was expected to use traditional home-made white color butter.ย <br/>Rating - 3.5/5<br/><br/>3. Amritsari Kulcha - The kulcha is soft, well baked in Tandoor. Although the potato filling is bit bland.ย <br/>Rating - 3/5<br/><br/>3.ย  Mushroom Tikka (Starter) - The grilled mushroom has smoky flavor and has filling of cottage cheese or paneer masala. It has good flavor spice. The only drawback was the synthetic food color added to the dish.ย <br/>Rating - 3.5/5<br/><br/>4.ย  Lassi - The lassi is thick, mild sour, creamy and is rich in dry fruits. It's not too sweet but lacks the taste of tradtional Punjabi makhan or butter.ย <br/>Rating - 3.5/5<br/><br/>5. Pickle and Coriander Chutney - The pickle has homely taste and is too spicy. The coriander chutney has good balance of curd, coriander and spices.ย <br/>Rating - 3.5/5ย <br/><br/>Recommendations to the restaurant -<br/><br/>1. Use organic ingredients for your dishes.ย <br/>2. Avoid non biodegradable like plastic, they are killing the earth.ย <br/>3. Don't use synthetic food color. They are not healthy.ย <br/>4. Use white color home made butter, not the one purchased from market.ย <br/>5.ย  ย Your toilet's sink is messy. Keep it clean. For a moment I lost all the appetite for the food after seeing those things.ย <br/>6. The staff should wear ethnic Punjabi dress to improve the ambience.ย <br/>7. Keep indoor plants in restaurant.ย <br/>8. You can serve water infused with basil, mint and lemon in glass water bottles. It acts as good appetizer.<br/>9. If you are not giving any offer on Magicpin or Dineout, getting it removed. Don't mislead the customers. I had to reason with your half an hour on this issue.ย <br/>10. You should inform about the service charge in the menu itself. Remember a customer has legal right to refuse service charge.

Average food....<br/>Quite expensive keeping in mind taste and ambiance of place.<br/>Service is average. One time visit is ok, but won't be visiting again.
Bhanu Parashar
Food just ok .. too hyped place nothing like authentic punjabi food
Sharmista Biswas
We ordered chicken lollipops and the siZe of the lollipop was very very small.
Viren Sinha
Apart from the location of this place everything else was disappointing . Went for a full course meal but couldn't afford so after tasting the starters . In the name of ambience they have literally nothing . Staff service I also poor . Lastly adding to the misery even the food doesn't tastes well.Sorry didn't take any photographs as even the plating was disastrous .<br/>Free tip: Don't even think of ordering prawns or mutton if you don't wanna regret your visit<br/><br/>I tried the following:<br/>Lassi Malai mar ke-4/5<br/>Tawa Jhinga-1/5[ though it is a starter but had more gravy than main course dishes]<br/>Tawa mutton Champeen-3/5<br/><br/>Detailed Rating<br/>Ambience-1.5/5<br/>Food-2.5/5<br/>Service-2/5<br/><br/>Overall-2/5
Preethi Bhaskaran
Food taste was not consistent like the last time we visited like dal makhani, paneer kadai, chaas were all better the last time we went there and hence, we went again but were disappointed with the taste. Service was also average
Arjun
The food was way below average. The paneer makhni was one of the worst paneer i have ever had and it was not worth the money at all. The service was too slow and it was basically just a waste of our time.
Khushi
Amritsar would be ashamed. I have never had worse paneer ever. I mean what do you think you serve us bad tangy and weirdly sweet tomato soup with some cottage cheese cubes n expect us to eat it n even like it. And witnessed an exemplary performance from the staff which was the most lethargic and inefficient staff ever. N charged allot I mean most definitely I would not pay so much for this kind of food even when im bitten by a mad dog. So so so disappointed.
Namrita Shankar
When the food was served, it looked DECEPTIVELY GOOD. However, the paneer makhani was HORRIBLE. The rest of what we ordered was just AVERAGE. To add to our woes, the staff was unbelievably inefficient. The food is expensive and does not deliver to the hype created. A dinner I regret going to.
Sandesh Dhume
Food wise was good but the service was very slow did not see the sense of urgency in the team <br/>When we visited there were only 3 tables and did not see any smile in the team <br/>When the restaurant picked the pace are many staff assitance came in <br/><br/>Itโ€™s a one time place to visit <br/><br/>Amritsari kulcha had less salt and the spice level also was low <br/>
Joel Joy
We went there to have makki ki roti and sarso ka saag. To our amusement we were served makki ki roti like we had never seen before, it resembled tandoori roti more than the actual makki ki roti. The saag had too much of salt in it. Other food ordered was nothing more than okay.
Varun Sharma
The food tasted very good. Not sure whether it was because we had to wait for 50mins for 2 dishes or it was really tasty. :O would have loved to review it correctly had it came a little earlier
Kanak
Not at all a recommended place..!! We kept waiting for long.. n waiter is telling me to understand that rush is there... Got water after reminding 4 times.. no one is available to serve better..!! Food is below average.. and a conjusted ambiance.. with very very slow service.
V. L. Prasath
Being a big punjabi cuisine fan, I have been to different punjabi restaurants and different Oye Amritsar outlets. So I choose this outlet for a family dinner. I was quite disappointed about the quality of taste and the speed of service when compared to its other outlets. But overall I enjoyed the food. I loved their Aloo kulcha and Chicken.
Kush Gupta
Sitting are is open, so there will mosquitoes for sure. But when i asked the waiter to put some coil to get rid of mosquitoes, he told me that we don't have anything. If you you can sit somewhere else. They should keep those items ready. So many food items were missing from the menu and reason he gave was "sir isko banane me bahut time lagta kuch aur order karo"<br/>
Subhasri
Horrible subz biryani. The taste was making me throw up. They definitely need to improve on the quality of the food. The quantity and the packaging were the only saving grace.
Ankit (@fooditude.__)
Hey!<br/>Had been here to have a vegetarian lunch and I just loved this restaurant and it's taste.<br/>We ordered kadai paneer and malai kofta subji along with rotis and naan. Both the subjis were amazing especially the malai kofta.<br/>Mr Suresh was a great person and was really sweet and helpful.<br/>Overall it was a great experience ๐Ÿ’ฏ
Saurabh Saxena
Average food. Poor service. It's becoming a trend nowadays by restaurants to name themselves panjabi or northindian and sell mediocre food. Pls do not give customers wrong commitment. When you say you are selling panjabi food then make your food as panjabi too. Real panjabi food is 10times better. The chicken legs ordered had literally no meat in them.<br/>
Varsha Aithal
We had been to JP Nagar branch and the service was pathetic. The staff was not bothered to serve water and we had to wait for 40 minutes for the order to come. The food was average and nothing great for the time we spent for the food to serve.
Yash Parakh
staff was really nice, they were really responsible<br/>

I was taken to this place by my friend who lives in Cardiff,UK.<br/>She had heard about this place and she wanted to pay a visit to this place when she came to India.<br/>We absolutely loved this place. Very authentic food. Very sweet and friendly service and a decent ambience.<br/>Thank you

The place Ambience is too good, and is a great place for North Indian food, and the quantity of food is good, Prakash was the guy for service please ask for him when you arrive.
Vikrant Singh Thakur

The food was great. The methi murg ke tikke is worth trying. Suresh provided great hospitality and exceptional service
Aashima Lamba
We were so hungry when we reached the restaurant. We thought we have to wait in heavy Sunday rush but Mr Prakash were friendly and helped in bringing the food in minutes which was satisfying. Also the punjabi food was great! :)
Viral Furia
Good food served<br/>Good service by Mr Prakash
Nishtha Jha
Amazing service and a great place for North Indian Food.<br/>The staff ( Ramesh) was really courteous and warming.
Aifaiz
Great place for family, Mr.Ramesh was truly very helpful for choosing the dishes. Had a great time with a great food. loved it. The most recommended place in jp nagar
Shekharjyoti Kalita
Not up to the mark. We ordered Pathankot tangri dish using Zomato gold but they refused to give saying out of stock during a Sarurday lunch time. Instead we ordered Mogewal de tikke which was very good. But just small 7 pieces for 379 is a pure rip off. Butter naan and lassi were good. One of the worst butter chicken in my life. Too much sweetness. The best choice was the mint chutney they served. A complete no no. Waiting time was more than 30 min.
Krishna Sharma
Mr Mithun was extremely good with the service
Sarin
Mithun was great in serving food
Suhail
A great place for family dine. Mr Ramesh was polite and made sure everything was perfect. Thank you for great service, And most importantly the butter chicken was delicious ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ‘
Aditya Bhatnagar
The service and food was great!! Highly recommended. We had dahi kabab and chilly chicken. The starters were awesome. The main course was awesome again
Shlesha Purohit
The ambience and the food makes up the evening.
Chetan T Ram
The place on the whole reflects the Punjab culture which is cool ,the only restaurant in Bangalore which provides Authentic Punjabi food.<br/>The food I have ordered was great and the staff was very kind too.
Vijay Prahlad
Utterly dissatisfied and disappointed with the service. Seat allotments took around 20 minutes despite the empty sections available. Once seated, the staff took the longest time to take our order. Though the food was good, it was down played by the quality of service.
Krishnam Choudhury
Really good service by Prakash! Quick service and good assistance too.<br/><br/>Hope others learn!<br/><br/>Ordered kadai paneer and Dal makahani - 7.5/10<br/>
Sanyog Gupta
Friendly staff, the service was quick n fast .Prakash helped us to find the good dishes n was friendly.
Gaurav Gupta

Biryani was best here!!!<br/>I was served by Sumit
Aditya Deepak
Nice food and good hospitality. Sumit from their team just made our dinner a wonderful one. Overall a nice place to be recommended for a peaceful dinner.
Sanjana Singhal
Excellent food it was. Good ambiance and great service. Sumit was exemplary in his hospitality.
Darshna Chaurasia
The place is not upto the mark. The food was also not that good. As they do not have anything amazing in their menu to try out and even the taste isn't good. Only I liked punjabi paneer Tikka that also was overly salted.
Ravikanth Chenna
Food is so delicious. Service is bit slow. Suresh bist is the person who helped us in selecting the dishes.
Sanika
Very good food. I ordered the kofta gravy and kadai panneer with naan. The naan was very good and even though food was a little spicy, the taste was amazing.
Saketh Abhi
overpriced and less quantity. The starter and main course curry both tasted below average. Just looting people. It has a vibe of shutting down soon. Don't waste your money here
Spriha Tantia
Nothing fancy about this place except it's super airy and has this relaxed feel to it. I love the north Indian here. Never too crowded and has a quick service too.
Dipanwita Diya Ghosh
One of the most worst Punjabi food experience of my life... I ordered chiken lollypop, dal makhni, alu Gobi, lassi, butter naan and rice... Chicken lollypop was not that tasty, worst dal makhni I've ever Aten in life, alu Gobi was spoilled and smelling bad, butter naan was so tough that we were not able to tare it aaprt... Only the lassi nad the pickle was nice.. other than that I was told that the quantity of rice will be enough for two people but actually it was not enough for one person only... and the service was too slow.... Management needs to work on their taste and service..
ANSHUMAN SHUKLA
If you are looking for an economic place to eat, this is the one for you. You will get good food at a decent rate. The ambience is also not bad.
Jiteshjadwani
Bad service, cold food that tastes average for the price. Never going again. Had butter chicken and chicken tikka. Tikka was basic and butter chicken had one fully burnt piece and was cold. Had to wait VERY LONG for the food.
Sandeep Mishra
Very disappointing, service is really pathetic. All staff member are not up to the mark with no sense of treating customer .Fails in Normal etiquettes.Had to wait for over an hr for order of 2 dishes in total.<br/><br/>Will never ask someone to try this place .
Dishari Sen(foodfamjam)
We tried their butter chicken, it was really good.<br/>Their kadai paneer was so soft. And I specifically loved their garlic naan. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They were very prompt. I had seen this place around alot but this was my first time there.<br/>Well it was worth it.
Augustya Mudgal
The food is average, service is poor and rude.<br/>The location is good as its outside the hustle and bustle of indiranagar.ย <br/>Will not recommend.
Jitesh
Ambience - 3.5/5ย ย ย  Food - 4.5/5ย  Service - 3.5/5ย  VFM - 4/5ย  Parking - Yes<br/><br/>Oye Amritsar has been recommended by many for authentic Punjabi food at Bamgalore. We finally got the chamce to visit tue JP Nagar branch located at ORR. The ambience is rustic and walls are plastered with Punju punch lines.<br/>We started with a glass of their Lassi, malai maar ke. Though the amount of malai was way too less and surely doesnt compare with the lassi I've had at Amritsar, the taste wasnt bad. They'd added some rose essence to it, which gave it a south Indian tinge.<br/>For starters we went with Malai Broccoli. This was a unique dish and really very well made. The broccoli was marinated in a malai based sauce, grilled to perfection and served with spiced, grated purple cabbage and carrots. Full marks for this dish.<br/>For mains we ordered Lahori Dingri Kofta, Bhindi DoPyaaza, Pyaaz Paratha, Amritsari Kulcha and Garlic Naan. The kofta was another unique dish. Paneer and spinach koftas stuffed with grated mushroom and cooked in a spicy onion tomato gravy. A unique and mouth watering take on the regular kofta curry. Bhindi Do Pyaaza is not something I usually find in a menu, and again this dish was really impressive. The okra was fried crisp and had a wonderful bite to it. The whole baby onions gave a contrastimg soft and sweet to the crusp and spicy okra.<br/>The breads too were very well made. All the three we ordered were excellent.<br/>The quality of the food is right up there and the quantity was sufficient for us. Definitely the place to go for great Punjabi food.
Drishte Jain
The place had pathetic ambience and the service was equally bad. The food was below average, it was stale and had a weird smell. The waiters were not cooperative to the feedback.
Ananth Maliye
Tasty food, pure punjabi taste, easy to identify its near to Vega city mall perfect place for vegetarians. Must try after main course are Lassi and Jalebi Rabdi was Awesome, Have to wait for 20-30 minutes bit late Service
Swapnil Gurav
Just 5 mins walk from the Vega city mall. Its a semi open restaurant with pure Punjabi menu. If Punjabi is what you like then its a good place for you. I highly suggest to try Pindiwala Bhatte da murg, it was a deliciously cooked soft chicken perfectly garnished as well. Perfect non veg starter. And coming on to main course, we went all veg. Paneer stuffed kulchas were a treat along with Bhindi!! Its a perfect family place.
Abhishek Sircar
The main USP of this place is the food. Well all the items we tried were delicious. Service is a bit slow and its tough to get a place on weekends but the food is worth it. Ambience is passable.
Varun Goel
They have superb dal makhani and kadhai paneer, it has now become a favourite dish for me to order now. They have nice packing. Delivery time is quick too.

Lovely place ,excellent food ,yummy tandoori food<br/>Enjoyed partials chicken, dal Makhani butter naan<br/>We started with some stuffed mushrooms and chicken lollipop and end with jamoon<br/><br/>Staff are very friendly and excellent<br/>We enjoyed food and excellent service by Prakash<br/><br/>Ambiance is dhaba style.<br/>Parking at basement.
Kartikay Anand
Lousy staff, late and bad service plus cold food. Other outlets are much better in service. We entered the restaurant and there was no attendee. We ourself had to manage with the seating and asked for the menu. We ordered our food which took half an hour to come but was cold and didn't taste that good. The worst part was it took them half an hour to bring the bill and another 10 minutes to get the card machine.
Aparajita
Food is yummy and the service is damn slow. I had to ask the waiter thrice about my order. The interior is well decorated with quotes related to punjab and punjabi food.
Krishna Khurana
The service is very slow here. And also the quantity offered was not adequate. They even messed up the order. Lassi was good. And the ambience was ok.
Soumthing Tasty
Craving some yum North Indian and Punjabi food? Oye Amritsar meets the bar.<br/>Perfect for a family dinner it's got quick service with delicious food in good portions<br/>I enjoyed everything that was put on the table
AKSHAY
Very costly. Less quantity and not tasty.<br/><br/>We ordered:<br/><br/>Fish tikka full: (479rs) --> we got only 6 fish pieces and they were very small in size. For this price, we could get a platter or buffet at some other places. Atleast we expected the food to be tasty and spicy.<br/><br/>Mutton biriyani(469rs): very less quantity. Not even sufficient for 1 person. Mutton was not fresh and it was smelling. At this price, we could have got full family pack biriyani at some place where it is tasty too
