We had an amazing time with BTC.. Remembered our good old Mumbai days. There is no compromise on the hygiene or the taste. We loved the papad churi and crunchy vegetables and the dal sheera was to die for. The staff were friendly and prompt.

Place is quite inaccessible for parking and seating.. but the food is good to compare to the other centre’s of BTC but the place does not offer same quality as Mumbai.
Quality is good to go and very light food to have for dinner.
But the largest hit back is, it is too noisy everywhere.
Best place to fulfill your appetite in mid of chickpete shopping. They have a big list of menu to decide on. Must visit place when you are in and around chickpete.

Location wise situated in very congested place were stepping in is a big challenge,the biggest challenge is Parking,no parking in surrounding also..
Had heard about this famed restaurant chain of Mumbai and finally went with lot of expectations. I must say it lived above my expectations. Right from the ambience to food to service everything was extremely great! Pure spices and no preservatives are my delight factors and I loved the food even more. Strongly recommend B Bhagat Tarachand to those looking for traditional North Indian food. I'm going to visit again soon:)

Visited this place yesterday for dinner since we wanted to have some good Indian food. After having tried this place in Mumbai thought to give it a try in Bangalore too as we were not in a mood to experiment.
The service is amazing, food is delicious. They have various varieties in Chaat, Indian mains and Chinese food.
We tried panipuri, Malai kofta, bhindi, Papad chiro, onion kulcha and tandoori roti.
The taste was good and loved the service.
Good north indian cuisine. Taste is good and staff is very friendly. Rate is on higher side as per locality. Can introduce some less price thali options.
A great place for vegetarian people !! We ordered the veg special thali and it tastes amazing !! There were varieties and the quantity was great ! One thing that didn't liked much were there veg hara bhara kebab ! It was not that good ! Otherwise a good experience 👍

Taste-wise: Above par taste. The Thali is really good and fulfilling. Mixed Vegetable, Panneer Curry, Roti, Raita, Dal Fry, Samosa, Jeera Rice and Gulab Jamun were all great. Chaas (Buttermilk) was a little disappointing. Everything tasted authentic as in, how we have 'Marwadi Basas' in the Northern India. Paav Cheese Bhaji was great. Bhaaji's quantity and taste will make you order more more Paav's. Very nice.
Item-wise: Very long list of Veg Items but they are all very attractive.
Ambiance-wise: Being located in the most congested part of the Bengaluru City, they have done well here. All sofa tables like a good high-end restaurant. Usually busy in the lunch and dinner hours. Ample space for sitting. Good for a larger group of people as they can adjust easily. They can improve on the hygiene at the hand-wash and toilets though.
Cost-wise: On the expensive side. But as I mentioned before, worth all of that.
Service-wise: At par. Polite and courteous people and given the rush they manage, they do it satisfactorily.

Overall it was a great tummy filler experience.
I ordered this limited thali, it comprises of two daily veggies (one Paneer and one mix veg), tadka dal which was mind-blowing! Raita, namkeen lassi, salad, kebab, ghee chapatis, rice and moong dal halwa! Overall quantity was decent, taste was awesome, it was very hygeinic. I'll call it worth it!

Walked In on a Sunday for the Thali.. wasn't dissapointed.. the chain with its roots in 1890's Karachi has retained its charm across locations over the years... Didn't try the famed papad dishes though..still great place to go if spending time in chickpet ..
We visited this place as soon we got to know it opened in Bangalore too. My friends totally loved the food and ambience too. I favorite is the dal and papad churri 😋

Being in Bangalore I was actually looking for some really good and hygienic pure vegetarian restaurant when I came across Bhagat tarachand and thus decided to order from here.
Coming to the order being solo I was keen on ordering something light for dinner and hence ordered their Veg. Tawa Pulao. The Tawa Pulao was really nice and the aroma was just awesome after opening the box. The Tawa Pulao was made of nice long grained rice and the spices added were just perfect. The best part is the restaurant made sure not to add any capsicum in the order according to the special instruction I had given. They also sent a small quantity of Raita with the order. The raita had a really fresh curd and was abundant with raw tomatoes and cucumbers. A perfect complement to the Pulao.
All in all the entire Tawa Pulao and the raita was really nice and the quantity was more than enough for a person like me. Highly recommended to order from here if you love vegetarian food.

Bhagat Tarachand is known chain of restaurants. I availed meal in this restaurant after 13 years which was in Mumbai. Food taste is the best of all. There is widespread Jain dishes as well. We ordered Khichiya Churi, Babycorn Manchurian, Tawa Phulka Roti, Chaas Bottle, Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Tadka, Jeera Rice. And all these were lipsmacking, tasty and was like Dil maange more...
They are opening in Koramangala as well which will be a good move and more comfortable for people in other part of Bangalore..

Have thought a north indian roti specialist .. well we do have one serving the best phulkas i have ever had. Dive in here for one of the best hygienic and amazing food options. Highly recommend dal tadka and special roti. A must for every north indian . You will feel like home again!

B. Bhagat Tarachand is a 100 year old restaurant that started in Karachi as a little stall by Tarachand Chawla who earned the title 'Bhagat' for his generous attitude. The famous Mumbai outlet started in the 70s and has now made it's way to Bangalore. We had been here for a weekday Sindhi style dinner:)

-Polite, attentive and extremely well behaved waiters.
-Takes ~10 minutes to get what you ordered.
Ambiance:
-Spacious and cleanly maintained.
Food:
-Hot & sour soup: Having this felt blissful as I had cold :D
-Baby corn tandoori: was barbequed with butter and went well with delicious green chutney and salad.
-Buttermilk: The best I have had till date:)
-Papad churi: Crushed papad pieces with spicy flavor to it, which taste even better with lemonwater squirted on it :P
-Pav Bhaji: Loved it.
-Paneer Amritsari: Paneer was cooked well and nicely done for Rotis and Chapatis.
-Gulab jamun: Luscious end to a perfect meal.
Conclusion:
-All this costed around 1.2k bucks. Worth every penny for the food taste, quality and we were full and happy by the end.

Papad khichu was nice, more of papad bhurji.

Just visited B Bhagat Tarachand for lunch and it was an experience! Located in one of the many small lanes near avenue road, getting there by vehicle is a big problem. It's best if you are on foot, rather than a vehicle.
The restaurant is situated in the top floor of a shopping complex, to get to which you have to pass through cloth shops and make your way to the top through the lift present or using the stairs. Once you enter the restaurant, everything changes, for a minute you forget the hustle and bustle outside, it's air-conditioned and ambience is quite good.
Coming to the food, we ordered their special royal thali which is not part of their regular menu, it was a big thali with many dishes served along with soup and dessert. The food on the whole was very delicious and quality of the food was top notch. Their regular thali would suffice , but if you want the extra desert, soup and starter, you can go for the royal thali.
Value for money is good for the thalis, but the price is a tad costly otherwise.However I do believe the quality and taste more than make up for the slightly high price. So should you visit the place? Yes. There were a lot of authentic dishes we didn't get to sample and judging by the thali , I don't think we will be disappointed. Parking a car is next to impossible and parking of two wheelers must be done cautiously as it can be easily towed away. But all in all will definitely give this place another visit to sample more of their delicious food.
This place has best Chaas (buttermilk) amongst all the restaurants that I have tried in Bengaluru. I like 'papad churi' from the unlimited lunch that we ordered.

The restaurant is huge on the 4th floor in exactly the centre of Bangalore wholesale shopping area, a much needed restaurant for us, it is clean and hygienist, The food was excellent and very very tasty, tried a few starters and North Indian dishes they were above my expectations

Bhagat Tarachand famous restaurants from Mumbai....as like situated in busy Zaveri bazaar... the restaurant has found same way here located in busy market of chickpet, the only issue is you don't find parking and you just can't take your car along with you. The best option is to take metro and walk remaining distance. Or go for some shopping and end up having your food at the restaurant
Ambiance is good would rate 4/5.
Service is quite fast and staff is also good would rate 4/5.
Now coming to food, we had Thali, papad churi, masala khichiya and masala chaas bottle..
Thali was tasty...specially the phulka served with butter on it along with Paneer curry and daal which tasted good, they serve the Thali in steel plate unlike other hotel which stands them out. There signature dish papad churi was delightful and loved the taste of masala khichiya. Love the masala chaas the way the server in beer bottles looking into that only makes me high, it was just perfect. Would rate 4.5/5 for food.
Must try: Papad churi, Masala Khichiya, Masala Chaas, Thali, if you go for Al-Carte go for special butter phulka.
For Curry: Dal Tadka, Paneer Butter Masala
Suggestion: would love to see if they extend the menu and signature dishes of Rajasthan like daal-bati or some of Gujarati dishes if they can get that on menu.
Overall for vegetarian it should be best and must go to restaurant.
I had the best butter milk in town, ambience is quite good , food is very tasty here, Gazar ka halwa is must try,
They give butter in very heavy quantity, but this place is mostly busy in weekends and festivals, waiting time can reach upto 2 hour, staffs are somewhat ignorant. They give buttermilk in beer bottles.
So finally I visited this place too here in Bangalore. It started recently and is a branch of famous restaurant chain in Mumbai. It has best food and worth the price . We had Spl Bhagat thali and it's was too delicious and satisfying . They have papad churi which is mandatory. One unique thing they have is they serve buttermilk in Beer like bottle. Chapati here is so soft and tasty😍. It's good place to visit and best for family outing. It has waiting sometimes. Love this place.

Superb food! Buttery, masaledaar, chatpata and well balanced-succulent paneer, layered soft buttery rotis presented like a katori with butter floating at the centre, lip smacking bhindi and sev tamatar. I don't know if it is always the case, or because it was a weekday, the service was exceptionally fast. I specially liked the way chaas was served, in a green glass bottle like it's some desi ttharra! One major disappointment was rabdi which I felt was high on milk maid. Second thing, for a place which boasts of century old history, I didn't find anything excusive in the menu, with the exception of papad churi, sev tamatar, karela pyaz and an item or two more,that could be claimed to be from a different era or of a culinary heritage handed down from one generation to another, in the least something that you don't regularly find in other restaurants. But ya a notable exception is the cutlery- china makes way for our very own stainless steel thali, chammach and katori! Third, attempts at introducing 'chinese' or using fancy names like peri peri this,shashlik that is not appealing, it only makes it a photocopy eatery that one sees everywhere these days. The food is amazing, the ambience and the air conditioning is on point even in the middle of such a crowded city market. The service is wonderful and the staff is polite. The pricing is a little expensive though. The rabdi, ghee phulkas and daal tadka were too good. The paneer do pyaza was decent as well. Overall a must try.
