Samosa has probably been one of most favourite snacks of every household, be it functions, be it marraiges or any kind of celebrations, its always present. Samosas are generally pretty oily, and also has a high calorie content, now if you're looking for some differernt kind of samosas with some health conscious effect, head to Samosa Singh.. The electronics city one is the first one in Bangalore and has options of service and seating, there are 5 more locations which are just takeaway outlets. They serve a total of 8 kinds of branded samosa.... to know why I'm calling them branded, you'd have to go through the pictures and find out. Samosa singh samosas are all shallow fried instead of deep frying, which makes them a little healthier and less in calorie content, the oil isn't felt on your hands so its a lot less messier. Now the samosas we tried were as follows: Kadhai Paneer Samosa - The amount of kadhai paneer was good, the paneer was soft even after frying and was oozing out taste. The crisp outer coating was'nt very thick which made it a light snack. Aloo Masala Samosa - The classic aloo samosa, good filling, made with right amount of seasonings and spices, but I feel samosa potato filling should be mashed rather than sliced, gives it a better texture. Cheese Corn Samosa - This the latest product of theirs, not really the final product which would reach the stores as its still in research stages, the combination is good, just that the capsicum can be chucked out a more significant amount of cheese can be filled, it would become a delight. Chicken Chettinad Samosa - Quite an interesting choice, connects with the local crowd and taste as well.. though the taste was pretty apt, the filling was a bit dry, so without a dipping chutney it might not standout. Chicken Keema Kebab Roll - The showstopper, One of the best keema rolls ever tried, they call it roll samosa.. juicy chicken keema, perfectly spiced and cooked and when the patty is fried, becomes a delight. Chicken Samburger - Simple concept, break a chicken samosa, add some sauce and mayo, cover with two bread buns and there you go... Chicken Samburger. Samosa Chaat - Gave me a very healthy feeling of chaat. Chocossa - A new take on samosa, crispy wafer like and chocolate coated with various varieties available... Samosa singh a innovative take on samosa which is a regular snack item, making it healthy is the best concept that they've applied as that is the need of the hour... Its definitely a must try place...
