Quintessentially Bangali khaabar-daabar. Such homely flavours. But it's not a fancy dine-out. Good for daily meals and for the times you're absolutely craving homely Bangali meals. Also very close to Infosys headquarters gate 9. One of my fav. and rightly so đ
I was missing Kolkata biriyani so ordered chicken biriyani from here and was happy. It tastes delicious with chicken pieces, egg and potato just like Kolkata .
This is the best place in electronic city for Bengali food. Starting from Chicken Biriyani (Kolkata style), Posto, Muri-ghonto, Luchi-Chicken, Mishti doi everything will make you remember the taste of Bengal. The seating is comfortable, and although the lighting is not that much fabulous but it's perfect for a Bengali eating outlet. Bright lights are preferred in Kolkata against dim lights, while eating.
If you are not a Bengali, do visit the restaurant to get a taste of awesome Bengali food in the most simple style and reasonable price.
This place has awesome music playlist which is worth mentioning.
Get a thali, enjoy the bengali food. Will recommend mutton dish and the paturi. It really taste goods with good quality and quantity. If you are a Bengali it's a must visit.
Food is nice overall... Rather, good food in cheap price ... Biriani is very much like that of Kolkata ... If you're a Bong in Bangalore do pay a visit here if you're missing homely food... :)
When u r far away from Kolkata and missing the potato wala Biriyani do visit here...food's tasted like it came all the way from Kolkata..Must try..
This is one of the places which you'd normally miss if you walked past it. No fancy interiors, no comfy seating, no soft lights. But I'll base my review on what the food here made me feel.
You see, there are only a few places where the food makes you feel right at home. And this is one such place. If you are a Bengali or Assamese person, and are craving for some authentic homemade-feeling food, then this is the place for you. The Chicken Kosha is the go-to food, along with the Mishti Doi. Throw in the Pabda curry and you have a complete dinner. Can also try the fried fish eggs here (Dimer Bora). I loved these so much that I have gone for them every single time.
Bonus: the place has an awesome music playlist, so enjoy the music while you have the oh-so-great food!
Authentic bengali food. Luchi, aloo-r dom, biriani, rosogolla and every bengali food you'd look for, is here and in comparatively cheaper price. Biriani is remarkably good :)
Away from Kolkata and missing Bengalee food?
Not to worry! Delicious Bengalee food is always at a phone call away. Try out Calcutta Cabin.
I tried Mutton Kosha, Bengalee Pulao, Luchi, Dhokar Dalna recently with my friend Shreya Parekh and Iliazuddin Ahmed and my experience was good.

Awesome bengali food. Value for money. The most interesting part is they serve the Bengali thaali unlike other bengali Restaurants in Bangalore; which pretty much includes all the basic dishes required to complete the meal at a much cheaper rate; would n't require to order separately specially the potato fries (jhuri bhaja).
Excellent taste, Very good Portion sizes, Chicken Kosha and Chicken Duk Banglow were really tasty. Fried fish was superb. Must try place for Bengali food
Tried fish fry, chilli fish dry, rumali ruti, chicken bharta, and mutton biryani. Everything was a 5/5. Owner is extremely hospitable & place is quite affordable.
Food was really good.Ambience could be a bit better and little faster service.
Thali options are good. Mughlai parota is not up to the mark. Even donât provide the traditional sabji with Mughlai Parota. They provide their dum aloo with it.
Tried Katla jol thali and mughlai parota. Stock is less. If you go after 2 pm and all you will not get most of the items. The snacks and started items are for evening only. Lunch time you wonât get.
Regarding ambience its not a fine dine restaurant, so donât expect too much. Itâs simply like cabin type restaurants in Kolkata. Normal âvater hotelâ. But thalis are good (however itâs not like Sorse, they charge much much greater) so considering the cost it a good one. I found it pocket friendly also.
Food : 5 stars
Ambiance: 3 stars
Service : 3 stars
Ate egg tadka and rumali roti, recommended.
I loved the place. It's on a good location very close to HSR layout and the food is also nice. The hospitality is awesome and staffs are friendly. The price is decent for your meal. You'll get good Bengali food of all types here. Lunch, snacks and dinner is available. Only breakfast is not available. The shop opens at 11:30 am in the morning and runs till 11:30 pm at night. Good one. Overall experience is pleasing since I had dined in 4-5 times in this week itself. 1st week of April. Pocket pinch per person is Rs 200-300.
Prithu Da (owner) is really good. The food is also very good. Must try the basanti pulao with mutton dukbunglow
