Hi Management team- the food is good but I would really suggest you have someone quality check the rice each time. It was really overcooked- meaning too much water making it not as firm as Japanese rice should be.

While reading the older reviews for this place, it appears that I have visited their new avatar in Richmond town. This is a VERY cute cafe tucked on residential Albert street with excellent food at a very reasonable price.
I loved all the veggie options, though my non veg companions remarked at the lack of beef or too many pork options. We ate the spinach gomae which was a tad sweet, but absolutely delicious. Wakame seaweed salad which was yummy, as was the fried tofu salad with it's creamy sesame dressing. My bangaroll (veggie maki) was good. We ordered 3 desserts: the daifuku was perfectly yummy not too sweet. The anko pie was very tasty too, though a tiny bit sweet for our tastes. The mitarashi dango was the only thing I didn't like for it's salty sweet soya sauce.
Service was a tiny bit slow, but friendly and good. A person who came to check on whether we were enjoying the food even did a card trick for us which apparently proved that my parents love me very much. Hahaha...
Overall a VERY positive experience. I will be sure to go back very soon....

A very small authentic food joint which is near to Brigade Rd Bus Terminal.
This place is difficult to find but it's worth your efforts.
The food which they serve here is authentic and many varieties of dessert is also available.
The staff are very courteous and helpful.
We ordered Omu Rice which was their first version of rice and egg, accompanied with a miso dressing salad. Both were perfect. Kare Pan was a bread stuffed with Japanese Curry, It was so tasty 😍.
For desserts with went for Dora Yaki or Doracakes as we all know and Mitarashi Dango. Both were so delicious plus it was new to my usual palate.
This place is a must visit for all Japanese Food Lovers.
Reasonably Priced and Pleasant Service!

It's small and virtually in an apartment, but great food and service. The bento boxes are excellent and they have a lovely seaweed kombucha tea. The miso soup is the best in Bangalore. Everything tastes super fresh.
They gave us a leaflet when we left - they are opening up as a full service restaurant mid Jan! Can't hardly wait.

Been dying to check this place out ever since I heard / read about this Japanese café on the third floor off Residency road (right after bars Communiti and Sotally Tober).
The café has a quaint, simple decor. They keep it simple with wooden chairs and tables to eat on. There's a couch in the corner to lounge your beverage of choice and leaf through the various leaflets and brochures around. It's part of a travel company that helps one get travel information and plan your trip to Japan.

It's a simple with good bento meal options and other ala carte options. It's not an extensive menu but it's quite good. There's also a black board in the far corner of the dining room near the kitchen, which mentions specials of the day.

For my appetizer I ordered: breaded cutlet
It was interesting, light and simple with mild flavoured semi-gravy stuffing
(Japanese food is generally know for clean, simple flavours and nothing punchy / spicy except for spicy Ramen) -- it was nice, but would I order it again, probably not.

For Mains:
Something new for me. It was a mixture of potato, carrots, beans, prawns and calamari dipped in tempura batter and deep fried. (My thought: a Japanese bhajjia). It tasted great hot (less tasty once cold).
It was served on top of a bowl of rice with a sweet gravy and had 2 sides: one of pickled vegetables and another I couldn't figure.
Overall something totally different from what I have eaten and enjoyed it. The pickles add much needed freshness to a fried dish.

For dessert: Matcha parfait
Talk about saving the BEST for last. This was the best Japanese dessert I have ever eaten in India. A terrific helping of matcha parfait (like ice cream) really creamy, smooth and tasty. This was topped with 2 cubes of seaweed jelly (coated with something) + 1 small dollop of sweet red bean (which wasn't overly sweet, which I thought paired really well with the matcha ice cream) + 1 mini pancake.

All in all a sumptuous meal and I will be coming back for more!

The sweet options here are a plenty. Allows for people to pop in for tea / coffee with a dessert. They even have a dessert platter for you to sample a bunch.

FYI, not a place for sushi lovers as you have only 2 options: California role for non-vegetarians and Red and Yellow Bell pepper role for vegetarians.

You can find Authentic Japanese food in Bangalore… loved the ambiance, food and service. It is a small bistro type of place with limited seating. You will like the ambiance and the folk music of Japan is played in the background.. that adds to the ambiance.. with lot of miniatures of different aspects of Japanese culture. Food is excellent, as I am vegetarian I preferred veg sushis and few noodles. If you are non vegetarian, then you have wide variety of options… magazine style menu offered with detailed info about each dish!

The eatery with the most authentic Japanese cuisine. Thank you Shivani for helping us out in choosing the right sushi and the right Ramen that we were craving for. A massive thank you for your service. Thank you for the tea and ice-cream, will always remember it. Loved the plum pickled Sushi and Japanese omlet Sushi and the Chicken Ramen. Good food, good people, great service and a peaceful ambience. What else does one need!

Azuki is a charming Japanese restaurant set on the ground floor of a building housing serviced apartments catering primarily to Japanese customers. Ergo, the food here is authentic, Japanese cuisine and the chef also is Japanese. I imagine the restaurant must also be serving Japanese guests in the Serviced Apartments. The restaurant has a covered verandah which is great for largish groups (10-15 people) and the restaurant area which also looks like an Extension of the building but is completely enclosed and air conditioned. The service is discreet and polite, not very dissimilar to Japan. If one orders a sufficient quantity of sushi / sashimi, then it is served in a beautiful boat shaped basket. Great presentation style. The location of the restaurant is a bit nondescript and it's certainly not cheap, but if you're willing to spend, it's well worth it.

Ate here on a recent trip and loved the view nitre experience. Food was great and especially great value considering the prices. It is a real oasis in Bangalore - peaceful, quaint and quiet in the heart of the busy city. We tried the edamame, miso soup, California rolls, salmon sashimi and tempura prawn. All delicious

It was a beautiful Japanese experience. Sushi was amazing. The yakitori was splendid. Pork tonkatsu ramen was authentic but a bit strong. The flavour may not be for everyone. The Mochi as well was good but the texture may not have been the greatest. Need to go again and try more. Oh and try the plum sake..will blow ur mind.

Ordered the pork chashu, omurice and Taiwan mazesoba...each of one them was delicious! The pork just melts in your mouth. The mazesoba noodles is a non-soup one and were really spicy! And the omurice was simple yet flavourful. Cold Macha milk was like drinking a powder...maybe it's an acquired taste? Mocha icecream is a must try. The service was top-notch. The servers made my toddler very comfortable as well and I'm grateful. Japanese restaurants are generally expensive and this is no exception. But sometime if looking to treat yourself, do try Azuki.

The location is a lil far from the main city hustle bustle. A quaint place with two types of seating arrangements. There's a warm welcome from the captains when you enter the place. We ordered: • Tonkotsu pork ramen • California Roll • Spicy Salmon Roll • Doriyaki • Mitarashi Dango The food is a lil on the expensive side. Good for fancy outings. The food is great! Tonkotsu pork ramen will suffice for two. The broth is subtle yet rich in flavours and felt homely. Must try would be Spicy Salmon Roll! Never had salmon that yum and rich! Doriyaki was a must try cause obviously we've grown watching Doraemon having that. the azukii bean paste was really yumm! Overall, will definitely go back when I feel like taking myself out on a fancy treat!

This place was a pleasant find! Authentic Japanese cuisine with great ambience. We opted for chicken Katsu, Paitan Ramen (vegetarians options available too) Strawberry Mochi (missed Mango mochi since its out of season) and sushi rolls (your taste buds will thank you 😋) . They have an extensive variety of dishes, so maybe another time 😁 Food is fresh and delicious. Do try their desserts! The also have separate seating areas - for 2/4 people and low seating areas for groups. They probably have accomodations available for travelers in the same building, 1st floor and above. Do call and confirm.
