Andal mess is one of the few restaurants in Bangalore that delivers authentic Tamil Nadu style non vegetarian food that’s spicy and delicious, just the way it’s supposed to be. Not my first visit, well definitely not my only visit. Was extremely hungry ended up here, ordering a nice egg Dosa, with some pepper chicken, superbly delicious, with the right pepper punch, but though it lacked a little salt.
Next was a Parota to seal the dinner deal, a little less crispy than I would have expected, nevertheless, authentic to the core and delicious.
This place is highly recommended for anyone who is craving for some Tamil Nadu cuisine but can’t make it to Hosur (or Ambur) in time.
It's a descent place to have Chettinad style food...always the safe bet here are Dindigul mutton biriyani, mutton chukka, chicken pepper fry, chicken 65 and karandi omblet...it's pocket friendly
Don't waste time reading reviews , this is lip smacking spicy Chettinad food and amazing value for money .
Decent sitting area
Superb value for money ( 200 per head )
Food : we had a biryani meal and a kottu paratha which was new to me and loved it !
Biryani Rice, Chicken Chukka, Fried Fish is a staple here...ask for extra gravy with the Biryani...the kothu parotha is nice too ...
Pocket friendly and Delish!!
I wish they cleaned their wash basin like at least once a year...they never have :-(
A very good place to treat yourself with an authentic South Indian style of non-veg especially for its Dindigul style Mutton Biryani and Chicken Kothu Paratha. I also love the Attukkal soup a must try for its taste. They have a huge list of dishes which also includes seafood and meat. The ambiance is average, but believe me, it's not messed-up in this mess. Go to this place for the taste and authenticity of the dishes. And for people like me who like to explore different food joints, please give a try. Cheers
Good home food. Today 4 of our office friends (16th Nov - Friday) we went there for lunch. Nice chicken biriyani, parota and mutton.
They serve on traditional way - food on Banana leaf.
Go for Parota and Mutton. Superb combination.
Even the Biriyani is equally tempting. Enjoy Foodies.....
Very tasty food, but the curries were a bit expensive for me means the quantity is less for that money. Chappathy was exceptionally good & worth for that money. I would recommend Andal mess

Man oh man oh man! What a place for meat lovers. From the Parotta to biriyani, there has never been any disappointments. Try it out and you will be a regular customer to this place.
It was a very nice place food was excellent special chicken biryani is amazing test
Staff are friendly overall good experience good job keep it up
A typical mess serving traditional South Indian non veg delicacies at pocket friendly prices. Its a home basically converted into a mess with decent seatings.
Food is what attracts here!
They have different Breakfast menu, lunch menu & daily special dishes prepared. If you are a meat lover and prefer Parathas or biryani for a meal then you must visit here. There are no much veg options!
They offer two varieties of Biryani - Dindigul & Nawab style. Dindigul biryani is a local favorite of Tamil Nadu region.
Happiness is they serve in a traditional way on banana leaf. I took a large Dindigul Mutton Biryani for lunch, one person can easily finish this. Go for small only if you really have a small appetite Or you can choose a meal combo!
A special blend of spices is used for this biryani which gives that lip smacking exquisite flavour. I absolutely enjoyed my Biryani along with raitha.
P.S : By 2:30 on Friday dindugal biryani gets over. Breakfast is available on weekends only from 8am!
I ended my meal with payasam made of Sabudana, rice which was good.
A homely place with amazing personal service is what makes me come back here again!

I have been to this place with family lot of times. Their porata and chicken 65 will be good. Egg kothu will be quantified but not so tasty. Ample space to park and interior is spacious as well.
Andal Mess is quite good place. Restaurant is built up in an old traditional style. But the food is Amazing. They serve you Banana leaf to eat food on instead of plates, which i like the most as banana leaf has many Advantages to have food on it. I tried kutu Parotha which is nice also Biryani, I like the both taste is good. The place is decent and under budget. Simply a decent place under budget with good food.
Nice place for tasty Tamil Nadu style food. Not much spicy but tasty food. It doesn't have much ambience, a pocket friendly restaurant at prime location. Mutton sukka, aatukal soup and idly mutton curry, whatever I have tried all were good.
Between the bunch of Andhra Briyani one best place for Tamil Nadu style Briyani
Traditional Tamil cuisine served on banana leaf. Clean seating area, quick service. Had the ayla (mackerel) fish meal. Though the fish had less of masala marinated. Dindigul biryani menu looks yummy !!
Good Food in affordable price. As its a mess so kindly do not expect a lavish ambiance. You'll feel like having food in a hostel mess.
I ordered Chicken Curry Dosa, Prawn 65 and Dindugal Mutton Biryani (small).
All the food items were tasty and freshly prepared. Hence took some time to get served.
I had heard that Attukal Soup is also good but it got over by the time we had reached.
Very pocket friendly and a good wholesome experience. Nice waiters and quick service.

Taste is good.price is good for indiranagar.ambience is not to be expected as cosy coz of indiranagar,it's like home.so not a big party or team lunch place.
This place is it. Look no further for awesome biryani. We ordered nawab biryani, chicken 65, chicken meals and ragi mudde. Everything was on point. Recommend nawab biryani (large) cause the small aint enough. Really friendly staff, quick service, ambience need little more to be desired. Price is pretty cheap for the location and the quality.
It is a good place for indira nagar... The best place for pure veg restaurant... Easily identify for the restaurant... Tastey and healthy food we serviced😋
Tasty. Too much rice in biriyani.. service was ok.. could be better.. very very less veg option..
