It’s good place to have good food with cheaper prices, the place is small but ambiance was ok, quick service with tasty food. best benne dosa in the city, outside crispy inside fluffy 👍..
Must try: benne dosa/ chilli bajji/ girmit mandaki / paddu
Taste: 4.5/5
Service:3.5/5
Value for money: 5/5
One of the affordable and taste is more than for what you pay. Everytime they serve hot dosa and well packed. There is lot of butter in butter dosa. Open dosa is a bit spicy, .... Nowadays the quality is coming down plz do maintain as b4... I have ordered more than 20 times... Its mouth watering
The best benne dosa centre in town. Guru Kottureshwara benne dosa has authentic davanagere styled benne dosa that tastes very similar to the davanagere's kottureshwara benne dosa centre. Not just benne dosa even the kotturu's traditional mirchi bajji is also available along with paddu, idli and different types of dosas without any compromise in taste. It is a must visit place in bangalore for foodies.
The prices are quite affordable. Loved the benne dosa. Open dosa and Paddu here are to die for. Pretty decent if you go on weekdays. Its heavily crowded on weekends.
Lovely place, it's completely inexpensive
10rs, 20rs maximum price is 35rs 🤑
Delicious just cooked food🤗
Best place for breakfast just near to NR colony bus stop
Placed an order for Davangere plain benne dosa, a childhood favorite and one that we enjoy at regular intervals. The dosa lathered with butter is a treat both to the eyes ans taste buds. Ofcourse, this food item is best enjoyed when served piping hot, we still decided against a delivery. The dosa arrived and was quite soft too. However, the chutney and aloo masala were slightly disappointing. The chutney had turned a bit sour and the aloo masala was bland. We had also ordered the paddus and idli, and both these items hit the right spot. They were delectably soft and melted in the mouth. The red chutney served with the Idli was the saving grace and paired well with the dosa.
Overall, an average experience for me as I was expecting the chutney to pack a punch too. However, this place still warrants multiple visits as they have been consistent in providing good quality food for decades, and eating the piping hot dosas at the centre is what brings justice to their food.
Benne Dosa and mandakki are awesome. No tables to site. But there is a tree with tiles around the roots where we can sit and eat. Mostly crowded. There is a tandoor style chai shop next to this.
This place is my favourite for benne dose in davanagere. The taste and flavor was no where near to the original.Bit disappointed.
The dose was buttery, crisp but chutney is not that great. and it spoils the feel of dosa.I loved their paddu..soft and tasty.
The Mandakki Oggarane with Chilli Bajji combination is the best here. A must try.
Ambience - 3/5
Food - 4/5
Service - 3/5
5 star rating for those fresh food served. Very yummy Benne Dosa & Paddu. Chutney served with Paddu is awesome & they serve another special chutney for Dosa. Hope they retain the same quality
One of the best Davangere benne dose served around gandhibazaar

Superbbbb delicious dose which gives you to have more than what you thought to have, opposite to dental science college, Davangere, always to have benne dose with your full family they will surely love it. Give party with this benne dose everyone likes it
It's only 60-70% alike to Original Kottureshwara (Davangere). Dose tastes Good but Chutney served (spicy) is way different from original (very tasty) & Aloo is completely same.
They serve fresh and hot, prices are way cheaper than native one.
Another famous snack from Davangere is Mirchi Mandakki, it's somewhat alike.
Adding Bajji with it, tastes very spicy and delicious.
If one who hasn't tried the Native one will surely going to love it. Way better than many shops fake calling it.
So overall it's an Small hotel but worth for quick bite and Dose and Mandakki lovers.
Hygienic wise, it's pretty decent I would say.
There's a granate seating arrangement around the tree, one could enjoy thier dish with road side View.
Hand washing facility is there.
Are you looking for an authentic Davangere Benne Kalli Dosa then you should visit this place. The taste is extremely good. They serve Beene Kalli with Paalya and Chutney and both will be good. Very cost effective, I recommend others also to visit. If you are a South Bangalore guy then you should visit this place.
The only "Davanagere Benne Dose" place around NR colony.
They make above average quality nenne dose, open dose amongst other dosa options. These come with a slightly less spicy onion-potato palya.
My favourite here is the Girmit which is a puff rice dish. Light, flavourful and usually comes with a bajji.
We Ordered One benne masala dosa. Open benne dosa, Mandakki Bajji,
Benne Masala are served with coconut chutneys and Red chilly chutney. The dosas also had mashed potato curry. Quite yummy, soft as well as crispy.
Prices are reasonable. Car parking is another challenge
Awesome place to have benne Dosa!!
A must place to have breakfast when visiting to Davengere😊
Small & old famous shop for Davangere benne dosa, Girimit & other regional eateries. Tasty, hygienic & economical place for good food !!
I was told about this place by a local friend & he took me here to taste it. Being a foodie, I have been loving benne dosa since my friends from Davangere engineering college had introduced it way back. Desi butter put on thick batter & layered with place potato mass tastes awesome. It is served with thick chutney.
Beauty of this place is it's customer base. 15+ people standing in front of small shop & waiting for their dosa/Girimit peacefully is a pleasure to eyes. There's some sitting options as granite slabs made around the tree borders, otherwise you can stand or sit in your vehicles.
Girmit is another interesting food - looks plain & crunchy and is a new thing to me. Will visit again soon to try rest of the items.
I’ve been going here for amazing benne dosa for like, almost 20 years now, and the taste has never disappointed. Their snacks are a great introduction to North Karnataka cuisine. Need I say that I’ve had benne dosa even in Davanagere, yet this quaint hole in the wall in Basavanagudi beat the taste hands down :)
