Ordered the Chicken Biryani Jumbo Box and Chicken 65. The Jumbo Box was sufficient for 3 people as mentioned on the menu. It had 6-7 medium sized chicken pieces, which was well cooked (includes 3 boiled eggs). The rice was flavourful and tasted good. The Chicken 65 was deep fried, although the salt content was a bit high. The packaging was average. Overall it was a good experience, though the prices were on a higher side.

Always a good place for lunch. Have been there multiple times but it's way too crowded and management is slow and they lack coordination during lunch hours. But the food is great, especially all their biryanis and curries.

Tried this place for the very first time. It was jam packed on a Sunday afternoon. We had to wait for 15-20 minutes to get a table. Due to the crowd the service is slow. The menu is wide but a few items that we asked for were not available. We tried the chicken biryani, meat balls, golden prawns, kotu parotha and chicken biryani. We liked the biryani, meat balls were dry and the golden prawns were okay. We tried kothu parotha for the very first time and didn't really like it. Ambience- 4/5 Food- 4/5 Price- 3.8/5 Service- 3.5/5

An amazing place with great ambiance. It is known for its authentic tamilian cuisine but also serves multi cuisine. We highly recommend this place for a luxurious meal with your family or friends. You can surely sense and smell the wonderful aroma of varieties of authentic tamilian food as you enter the restaurant.
The restaurant has friendly staff who would help you choose from their mouth watering menu. They have personalized assistants assigned for each tables who would help you with anything.
Thalappakatti's signature biryani is absolutely flavorful. It's a must try dish in their menu. It is served along with some raitha and chicken curry. You will just want to keep having it only for the taste even if your full. You can never get enough of it.
Peri peri chicken is finger-licking yummy. The chicken is juicy and so well marinated n soaked in the masala. It is served with naan, fries, spiced onions, 2 type of mayo and a red sause.

Mutton Biryani, Mutton Chops dry, Mutton Sukka, Chicken Karandi

Had been to their Dubai branch couple of times and was eager to taste it here in Bangalore.

The Mutton Biryani was undoubtedly better than the one in Dubai, the other dishes were not up to the mark like the Mutton Sukka (Day's Special) and Chicken Karandi.

Was really looking forward to having Chicken Karandi but it was not upto the mark at all, at least when I compare it to the one in Dubai.

Mutton Chops was pretty good and Spicy.

Its a great place to eat as its always packed and you need to WAIT for your turn - that itself gives it all the positives.

It a quaint little place located on the first floor ,
As soon as we enter, we see an interesting life size model of a lady clad in a Saree sitting and stirring something. The decor has brass utensils hung on the wall and we are also served water in brass glasses .
The biryani itself are served in cute little steel pots.

Service 4/5..... Service is fast , and the waiters are helpful .
Taste: 4/5
Value for money:4/5
Quantity : 4/5
Ambience: 3/5 usually crowded but also the crowd gets cleared quickly, not much of waiting to be done even though we went on a Saturday evening.
Noisy and the tables are placed close to each other .
Crowd : it is mixture of the younger and older crowd who are both patrons of the traditional thalappakatti biryani . ..........................................................................................
It is definitely a place to enjoy the dish and not so much about the dining experience.

This is so called famous biriyani of Dindigul. heard a lot about this from friends, so thought of trying. The outlet is really crowded during lunch time. sitting arrangement is little congested. but thats not we are there for. we ordered paya soup, mutton biriyani, Natti koli suka. paya soup was yum; though its overpowered with pepper i like that. biriyani was pepper based too and unlike typical dum biriyani which use to have with variety of spices this does not have that, however this has its own taste and i like that too. these 2 are must try here. apart from that Natti koli suka is also good and cooked perfectly too.
Service and staffs are okay as this is not a fine dining restaurant to expect any better from them.
price - its overpriced considering the quantity they serve. my  friends who tried this biriyani outside bangalore say the price and quantity is worth a penny if you try this anywhere in tamilnadu. so i will go with 4.

Had visited the DTB outlet on MG Road with my family. The ambience was great and the food was yummy. The kids loved the Biriyani and the Spicy Thee pori Chicken Lollipop. I tasted the Nattukozhi Soup and the Kodaikanal Chicken Gravy which were delicious. Customer service was excellent. A great place for food lovers.

This place was packed at 2pm on a Sunday Afternoon and hype was justified by the taste. Boneless mutton biryani was very delicious. This biryani had rice and meat cooked together and this is the type which I like.
Then chicken Varuval was tasty too with right combination of spices.
Service was quick.
Language could be a bit of a problem but since this place is in Bengaluru and most Bengalurians can understand many Indian Languages, managing, that too ordering food can never be a hard task.
However thumsup was delivered after the meal.
Anyways if you love to try delicious Biryani and other meat dishes, this place fits your choice and prices are also reasonable.

Went for lunch on Sunday. Had to wait for about 15 minutes to get a table. Service was prompt. We ordered boneless pepper chicken, pallipalayam chicken roast, thalappakatti biryani boneless chicken, chicken kothu parotta, lime soda, jigarthanda and karupatti payasam. All dishes were flavourful, served hot and quantity was adequate. Spice levels were manageable. Only con was the crowded ambience.

Best biryani ever❗
☆being a biryani lover i hv been to all d original branches in dindigul 'n' times..and so wanting it to have d same in bglr! Ma sweet tooth craving on ramzan! Took me here...Place was too crowed & fortunately got our table aftr waiting it for almost 40mins.👉🏻its worth d wait💯

Uniqueness about thalapakatti is👇

♡A special blend of spices are used for the biryani. Usually, everyone uses basmati rice for cooking biryani. But here, they use seeraga samba rice, called Parakkum Sittu. The rice has no taste of its own so it completely absorbs the flavours of the spices.

Got to try👇
Mutton biryani - which was well cooked and the consistency is so scrumptious😋
Falooda - not bad
Thalapakkati spl chicken - perfect starter👌🏻😍

Ambience - 3.5/5

Taste - 4.25/5

Good hygienic settings, right on MG Road.

Ordered the chicken and mutton biryani. The mutton was nice, tender and juicy..the biryani was flavourful. A bit high on ginger flavour. But delicious...the biryani has does not have a complex flavour.
The accompaniment Salan and onion raita was also good.

Its located in the heart of the city. We visited during evening hours, its was slightly crowded with good place to dine the meat food. They hold a big name from a long back of 1957 there origin is from the place dindugal. We have tried mutton biryani, mutton sukka, fish sukha, leg soup. The food is served on banana leaf and authenticity lies in the spices being used to prepare those dishes they are very mild and soothes your taste palate. Leg soup is very delicious and also try thalekal mamsa dry its too good.

By now everyone who follows me knows my never ending love for Biryani.

Once again located right next to office, this tends to be our usual haunt. I must have visited them more than 10 times over the last few months. In addition, I have packed biryani (imagine 10 nos!) for home. Do try their crab fry as well as their Pepper chicken. Of course it goes without saying their Dindigul Chicken Biryani is a must try.

Dindigul Thalapokatti is far better than which I had in Chennai.

Ordered Chicken 65 Briyani, Fish finger (8nos), barbecue chicken as well. I thought for two it won't be sufficient. But for a surprise we took parcel after our tummy got full.

They serve with enough quantity and quality food.
Fish finger expected 6pcs, but came as 8. Barbecue half and 65 chicken Briyani had many pieces in it.

Really happy eating tummy full and paid decent amount.

Recommended for family and friends. But guys please make sure u extend the restaurant. Book table in prior.

When in rush time they seperate the tables and giving in middle of the restaurant. Which is quite disturbing and while walking many taps your food, spoon, and even no space in Ur table to keep ordered things. Kindly work on it.

Food is osm and taste too. Thanks for the good food guys!

The taste of food is going low by the days gone by I'm air with no taste further. Starters are worth trying once. Prawns in the style of kfc with Mayo are good but prawns are like baby prawns. Must try prawns for the satisfaction of the tummy mama.

I recently dined at a Thalappakatti in Bengaluru, and I must say, the experience was delightful. The biryani had an exquisite taste that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. The meat was incredibly tender, showcasing the chef's skill in marinating and cooking it to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and I couldn't get enough of it. The combination of spices and herbs used in the biryani was spot-on, creating a harmonious and aromatic dish. This restaurant is undoubtedly a must-try for anyone looking for an authentic and delicious biryani experience in Bengaluru.

It was quiet and not at all crowded when we visited. Only I would like to suggest increasing the portion of mutton in mutton biryani☺️

I actually really really really liked the outstanding potatoes in the dum biryani as they tickled my ribs and made me feel extremely warm inside as well as cooling me on the outside. The waiters, specifically Ramesh and charlie puchi (the multi Grammy award winning pop and rock pop artist) we're extremely friendly and took excellent care of me and my biryani.

Bengaluru is no doubt filled with biryani restaurants, but often it can get pretty boring trying the same type of biryani and starters. This is a reason why I decided to give Dindigul Thalappakatti a try. Located at the far end of MG Road, this restaurant doesn't feel huge but there is seating for plenty and is well lit. The washrooms are very clean and the service is good and the servers are friendly. Coming to the menu, they have the usual north and south Indian type dishes but a lot of unique items as well like the Chicken Porichadu which is excellent not too spicy, not too sweet, just perfect. Their Chicken 65 Biryani was also very different from the spicy Andhra biryanis of Meghana's, Nandhana's and all. The rice is short grained but very tasty and the Chicken 65 (Boneless) chunks very cooked very well and equally tasty. Other items worth trying are the Mutton Nalli Chops, Egg Curry, Phulkas and how can I forget Jigarthanda, a refreshing drink made of almond tree sap and ice cream that is just the perfect finish to an amazing lunch. However, the Paneer Gravy and Paneer Tikka can be skipped as they are not that great, stick to the non veg items only. I visited this place around 12:30 in the afternoon and make sure you do too as it can get really, really crowded around 1pm (Remember how I said its not a huge place). If you are bored of trying the same types of spicy biryani and kebabs give this place a try. #biryani #nonvegetarian #restaurant #familyfriendly

It was all good. Tastes as good as before.😋 The experience was some what new due to the corona situation. Your temperature is checked and noted at the entrance. They even note down your mobile number just in case. All service staff wore head cover and face mask and on top of these they even wore face shield and hand gloves. They really strictly for the social distancing norms formed my the Government. There is whole table gap from one to another. I think this will be the new normal for coming few months. Any ways the experience was new and a bit scary, but everything is fine. I really do hope so😅.
