Always has been consistent on taste. The prices have stayed relatively low, but the quality of food never disappoints. We tried Bonda soup, Plain Dosa and Maddur Vade which all were fresh and tasty. I'm a big fan of their gatti chutney which has a strong flavour of spices to it. Would choose this place any day for breakfast or snacks.

Wanted to try this place as the reviews were good. This place has South Indian, North Indian and Chinese. South is available in the front. north and Chinese are available in the back but the billing is done in the front itself. Took roti curry and it was nice, will try other items next time. Had a quick peek at the kitchen at the back and the place is very clean. Will try other items next time. There are a lot of places to stand and to sit and eat.

Good place for South Indian breakfast. The setup for South Indian is more like a 'Darshini'. The north Indian section doesn't seem very clean though. The seating is very average in the North Indian section. Breakfast menu like Idly sambar seem to have been prepared in a seperate kitchen and seems to have maintained hygienically.

The open butter masala dosa, is too spongy, those who like set dosa , only those can try it. Good seating space inside.

Earlier quality and taste were very good but it is reduced now. They have added many items to their menu. Mornings and evenings will be very much crowded, especially sunday. There is no seating arrangement, at times people have to hold their plates in hand and eat. Car parking facility not available, two wheeler parking on the main road. Overall good restaurant for quick bites and breakfast.

Dakshin Cafe food is always yumm. It's a delite to eyes as well as to the tastebuds. Awesome sambar and crispy dosa. Meal is soo fulfilling. Must visit with family. The ambience is very ordinary types but food changes the mood

You will get Budget friendly and tastier south Indian food. Comparatively average North Indian food and costlier too. Idly vada, poori and Coffe is recommend in the menu. If one has no problem with oil usage then dosa is also good.

A nice place for a quick bite, especially breakfast. Attached are some of the dishes that I tried while I was in JP Nagar 7th phase. This was my go to place for a nice and quick breakfast. Most recommended items are Masala Dosa, Set dosa, Open butter masala and a few more. Their Gulab jamoon tastes good too and don’t forget to taste their Dahi vada and filter coffee.

Visited after 4 years and ended up revisiting multiple times!!! The coffee remains to be the BEST in all of South Bangalore!!! Thoroughly enjoyed every sip of every cup!! ❤️ They have now expanded their service area and it is so well deserved expansion!! The food and quality has remained consistent!! Wishing Dakshin Cafe the best!!! Review from 4 years ago: Best coffee, uppittu and other tindi tinisugalu in JP Nagar 7th/8th phase!! This is a no fuss, clean and tasty eats joint!! Growing up I hated uppittu but the simple, tasty bisi bisi uppittu here at Dakshin cafe is absolutely fantastic!! The prices and the portion sizes are just perfect!!

Visited this amazing place on a recommendation of my friend Mr.Agarwal Located in J.P nagar A perfect place for delicious South Indian dishes Chow chow’s amazing super delicious Idli was softer than air and vada was crunchy n crispy Masala dosa is amazing, it feels like it has just come out of a salon n spa You should try their exotic podi masala dosa The cafe is just perfect quantity and quantity Pocket friendly as well The only problem is there aren’t any seating arrangements But when you have such a heavenly taste nobody bothers to sit Do visit this place if you are in J.P nagar
