This place is so so good!!! Most authentic Malayali food I’ve tasted in Bangalore for this price range! I really don’t know why it has such a low rating on Zomato. From the looks of it, the people coming to the restaurant were all people trying Kerala cuisine for the first time. Maybe that’s why all the ratings and reviews are so bad? Idk. It baffles me. I had the Kerala fish fry thaali and it was to die for. I did die right after cuz of a full belly actually. The payasam also so authentic and cold and perfecttt. Don’t judge based on the rating this place has! If you like Malayali food and you need a place for a really really filling meal below 250, check this place out! Super authentic and yum. ♥️
My little sister was born with taste buds for Kerala cuisine - and so like it or not, our first preference should and always be Mallu cuisine. Being a malayalee myself, I've tried and tested many a kind of Kerala dishes at restaurants. The food here does have a Taste of Kerala as the name enunciates.I loved everything on my plate and on the other plates too! Be it the meals, beef roast or beef biryani - everything had a homely touch to it, which is the best part.The fish fry was flavourful and crispy and so we ordered more.Service is prompt. Decent value for money » Note to self, I will surely visit again even if I do have a choice :)

Stumbled upon this place while passing that side... Very small place... Food no doubt was good.. Tried the Veg Special Thali and Egg roast... Taste was authentic.. Service could be better and faster.. U ask for one they get u something else... Overall worth a try..
Well some will say that my review doesn’t count being both a vegetarian and a non-Mallu but I have been a great fan of Kerala food specially the Sadhya. Since it is close to office we saw this restaurant on the day of its opening and entered to try out something new. While since they had just opened most of the things were off-menu but the caretaker was very helpful and we settled for good old safe thali served on a Banana leaf. We relished the food and paid the very reasonable charge for a thali at center of the town and were satisfied fully.
It's been under a month since they opened and I'm so glad to find a good place that serves reasonable Thali food. Delicious and sumptuous and total value for money!! Will revisit soon. All the best!:)
We tried this place after a visit to Cubbon Park. Though there were no reviews, we decided to visit this place, going by the photos on Zomato.
We were pleasantly surprised by the food - proper Kerala fare. The fish curry meal was really good, with all accompaniments including payasam. What added to our experience was the courteous host who put us and other visitors at ease. Pricing was reasonable too.
There were many other Kerala dishes; we couldn't try them out. I'm sure they're equally good too.
Located on Residency Road in the heart of Bangalore, Taste of Kerala is a small little restaurant open till late at night serving simple, authentic and delicious Kerala cuisine.
The staff is very cheerful and friendly and good with suggesting dishes based on your taste.
Ambience is good with comfortable seating and a decently lit area. Washroom was very clean as well.

Really tasty Kerala style food! They close at 12:30 am. They cook fresh food similar to that of home made and the price was reasonable. Try out chicken fry, chappati, fish curry and kappa.
