Good and nice taste. Kerala parotta is big in size while veg fried rice was cooked in used oil i felt.
Zomato Orders ...Very satisfied ... Value for money .... Good taste 😊
Good Biriyani..
i ordered chicken dry biriyani... And chilli chicken from this restaurent. I should say tht ths restaurent always provide such a tasty food.
This small eatery in the midst of several outlets in Yeshwantpur brings a delicious food of Kerala in quite affordable prices.
One of my favorites were Chilli beef and squid masala. Adding appam to it compliments the delicacy.
For hearty Keralian food, I highly recommend this place
A very good pocket friendly place with proper calicut food. Tried the puttu kadala and appam with banduge fish masala. Both the combos were very good and the restaurant is also have a very quick service as well.
Ambience - 3.5/5
Service - 4/5
Taste - 4/5
We ordered prawns fry on zomato and i received very less quantity. There was only 7 pcs for rs 205.
Simply waste of money. We are never expected this kind of service 1st time we are experience like this
Definitely, one of the best for Kerala Cusine, especially Malabar Cusine. Taste is very authentic. With only downside that every tasty things gets sold out easily. Damn good.
One of my favourite restaurants.Calicut has good Kerala food for reasonable prices.Their parota beef and apam was actually tasty. Its a small place.Service is also good.
Standard fare catering primarily o Malayali food seekers, though they have their fair share of north indian and chinese dishes in their menu. The ambience is also basic. There are many items on the menu but I have mostly stuck to their kerala dishes As mentioned in some review here, the chicken chettinadan and chicken pepper masala are good. Also the CR special chicken curry.Try it with the appam/kerala porotta. The chicken varattiyathu is not really authentic. Their biriyani is also of the Malabari style, so don't expect long-grained rice. Tastes good though.

The fish curry was good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Calicut, located on MSR College Road in Bengaluru, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers a delightful combination of friendly staff, quality food, and generous portions that left me thoroughly satisfied.
One of the standout aspects of Calicut is its warm and welcoming staff. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with genuine smiles and prompt service. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu.
When it comes to the food, Calicut certainly knows how to impress. The quality of the dishes served here is truly remarkable. The Kerala meals, in particular, are top-notch and showcase the authentic flavors of Kerala cuisine. The traditional Puttu and Beef combination is an absolute delight, with tender, well-cooked beef perfectly complementing the light and fluffy Puttu. This mouth-watering combination is a must-try for any food enthusiast.
Another dish that caught my attention was the Kappa with Beef. The combination of tapioca (kappa) and flavorful beef creates a unique and delicious taste. The tender chunks of beef blend perfectly with the soft and subtly flavored kappa, resulting in a truly memorable culinary experience. I highly recommend giving this dish a try during your visit to Calicut.
However, it's important to note that parking can be a challenge near Calicut. Due to its popularity and limited parking spaces in the vicinity, finding a spot for your vehicle might require some effort and patience.
Overall, Calicut on MSR College Road in Bengaluru is a gem of a restaurant. The friendly staff, quality food, and generous portions make for a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Kerala cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, Calicut is definitely worth a visit. Just remember to plan ahead for parking to ensure a hassle-free experience.
We had breakfast with my family and konda kadala curry was not that good for appam and puttu...
Maybe it tastes good with non veg.
And very wet plates were served which was not in a good manner to treat the customer.
Actually I am vegetarian this restaurant looks good for non veg people but i tell one thing about it i tried 2 recipes here those are paneer and mushroom butter masala the flavour of these recipe are well managed and taste good to have and the restaurant ambiance feels like homely.....
A great place to have Kerala food. Only problem is no parking space available. But can manage to park cars behind the restaurant. Must try beef when you are going. The best place in Bangalore to have beef items.
Calicut Restaurant delights the palate with a symphony of authentic flavors, offering a culinary voyage that captures the essence of Kerala in every bite – a true gastronomic gem!

I went to have breakfast. Its clean and the food was tasty. Came with a north indian friend to taste kerala culture and they loved it !
The food is delicious, the service is good. I visited this place in 2017 during my course of Corporate BBA + MBA at GEMS B School, Bangalore.
The last time we went there it was a disappointment. This time it was different! The biriyani was simply amazing. The chicken lolipop was great and appams were good too. Even the lime juice and lime tea was extra good. I'll definitely be coming back here.
Good food and service.
I had Iddyappam a nd Kadla curry. The taste and price is good.
Iddyappam - ₹12 each
Kadla curry - ₹50/per bowl (one serving)
