This place is always famous for delicious sweet. Price is too high to maintain the quality. Taste is same like other outlets. Overall, it's a good experience if you would like to try all type of famous sweets from Kolkata.

When it comes to sweets I prefer our traditional Indian sweets over cakes and pastries. I was never a fan of Banchharam’s till recent time when a friend gave me their mishti doi and ever since I like them. Yesterday I visited Banchharam’s Marathahalli outlet for the third time and tasted few sweets like Kacha golla, and mini peda while giving order for takeaway. Nolen gurer rosgulla and matka mishti doi were really good.

I always like the beige colored, stamped peda and the one tried at Banchharam was bit too dry but still tasty. While waiting for the sweets I happened to see the beautiful jholbhara Sandesh and next time I will try this sweet for sure. I didn’t want to try too many stuffs and get a sugar rush. Kacha golla was very soft and delicate. Even though the shop guys didn’t explain much about sweets (also tags were not there) they did a good job by suggesting this sweet to me. I just loved it. Their pricing is on the higher side but considering the fact that they uses fresh dairy products the ‘highly priced’ feeling can be ignored ;)

The ultimate one stop destination for all Bengali sweet lovers where I have been frequently visiting since past 5 years. I love this small place of happiness.

Starting from Mishti doi to Rajbhod to kachagolla, they have it all. There are chana sondesh as well as sorbhaja. They keepsome nimkee (namkeen) at store too. To keep up with increasing local demand they have come up with Kaju barfi type sondesh too. there is a small place to stand and eat, much like the local way.

the place is keep and prices are moderate.

For Bengali sweets, this is the place to go to. A bengali would find this place exorbitantly expensive. However, for someone living far away from Bengal, this is as close it gets to the authentic. Special mention to Radha-bollovi and aloor dom that is available for breakfast on weekends-- as someone who regularly visits, it's super delicious and consistently good in quality. The Radha-bollovi is a must-try!

Everything is great about Banchharam... the shingara, radhabollobi, sweets like Chitrakoot, baked rosogolla, kheerkodom are all awesome. Taste almost as good as their Kolkata original store. Only sad part you dont get the Banchharam ghee.

When you enter this place, as a bengali, you will be shell shocked seeing the prices. Then when you make peace with the prices and decide to try the sondesh, mishti doi or the rasmalai (Anything for that matter), you will forget the prices and wreak havoc on the place.

This is the only (The only.) place in the pneighbourhood that provides authentic bengali  misthi doi. The sweets are delicious and will take you back to the streets of kolkatta, although  sometimes it feels they are not fresh (mind you, only sometimes).

Recently purchased kaju katli (I know it's a odd choice), and it didn't disappoint. 900 Gms got me around 65 pieces at 750 rs. Pretty decent and cheap for kaju katli when compared to A2B.

And then, after a few days of having here, the prices seem justified.

This outlet of Banchharam is my favourite for their Mishti Doi!

It's one small outlet known for Bengali sweets. The stock run out by evening although they refill the sweets stock on daily basis. I am not fond of their kala jamun or sandesh to be honest. I visit Banchharams solely for Mishti Doi. Their Mishti Doi is very unlike the regular sweetened curd available in the other sweet shops. This Mishti Doi tastes authentic, or atleast close to it. It is rich, creamy, caramelly (if there is a word as such), adequately sweet, and set well!

500ml of Mishti Doi would cost you Rs.150. It is available in matka or plastic boxes. It's a must try outlet in Bangalore for Mishti Doi in my opinion.

Excellent Bengali sweets you can get here. If you are lucky try for nolen gurer mishti during January- February. It's a limited edition there. A little hard on the pocket, but the taste makes for it.

If you have a sweet tooth and specially love Bengali Sweets, you will love this place for sure. Almost all kind of Bengali Sweets are available here and all are yummy. We even got pati sapta which was quite good. You should must try rosogolla, natun gur r sandesh, baked rosogolla. The price is a bit high but I guess that is expected. This is a must go place for a sweet lover.

Atrociously priced but still this is the first place in bangalore we go to ,whenever we have craving for Bengali sweets. Though KC Das should have been our first choice in this case it's bancharam's. Strategically positioned in the main marathalli main road - we cross it almost twice daily. Hence even though you want to avoid - its difficult. A pack of 5 baked rasgulla is priced at 200/-. You can get 'shankh sandesh" "padma" "jolbhora talshash" all your known Bengali sweets here. But at a very steep price. You can even get "jibe goja". They also have Mishti doi in plastic container or 'earthen pot' . They also have radhaballavi (similar to poori) and Bengali singara (samosa). If you have a Bengali wedding in bangalore - they have different Mishti for 'tatto'.
So on the whole it is an one stop shop for the sweet desires in all Bengali.

Banchharam serves probably the BEST mishti doi in Bangalore. All the other sweets are good too but really nothing beats their Mishti Doi.

Really enjoy their gulab jamun and rasmalai too although the cost seems to be a little on the higher side.

But again, best mishti doi in Bangalore :)

Banchharam happens to be en route to my office- Lucky me. I would not rate it as one of the best sweet shops but it is quite a brand in Kolkata and I really appreciate their Business acumen to open shops in Bangalore. I wish the likes of Bhimnag and Nokur should also comtemplate expanding here. Coming back to Banchharam, It's basically a take-away sweet shop, though few chairs are in place for those who want a quick bite on the go. The shop maintains a good level of hygiene -no flies or  stench anywhere. The shop keeper boys look a little disinterested about the whole thing. Banchharam sells all the popular items - jumbo size rosogollas, mishti doi, pantua, kachagolla, different varieties of sondesh, etc. Namkeens like singhara, kachori, radhaballavi, were also there. Needless to say all very pricey -one single kachagolla would come at 25rupees! I took a bite of a singhara while waiting for my radhaballavi. The singhara was a tad greasy, but the potato filling was so very Kolkatan -loved it. The malpua was super tasty -the aroma of ghee in it was overwhelming. Radhaballavi -however fell short of my expectations -the puris were great , but the aloo ki sabzi along with it was nothing like the chatpata aloor torkari we get in clay pots in some road-side shop in Kolkata. Nevertheless, I enjoyed their food and can't wait to get my hands on the other items!

Their punchline is "Misti Manei Banchharam"
this means 'The other name for sweets is Banchharam'. Well, not in any of the Indian languages that I know is it true, however in Bangalore, I doubt if you get better Bengali sweets anywhere else.

The ones that really are good are: Malai roll, Roshogolla, Roshmalai, Malai chom chom, Chitrakoot (try this one, it will surprise you) and  Langcha

For the sky kissing premium you pay, you surely get your money's worth. But I would not be able to say it for all of the variants that you get there. I, in particular like the juicy ones made of chenna (Rosh and Channa r misti). Some sondesh are good like the Nolen Gur ones, but not the malai sondesh and a few others, I would never even try eating the barfis here as they are not their speciality. I also do not like the Mishti doi here. Not related, but if you are really craving for the Kolkata's Mishti Doi, try the DanOne ones (Available packed in markets) as they are the closest to those ones.

Being a small outlet, you just have a a couple of chairs available to sit and eat while thinking about the next one you order, which I like. So for me its like " Kolkatar Misti Bangalore e, manei Banchharam" :)

Given that proper Bengali sweet options are limited in Bangalore, this has always been a safe bet for me whenever I need to pick Bengali desserts.

I would recommend their samosa, lyangcha, radhaballabi with aloo dum. The mishti doi isn't exceptional but serves the purpose.

Prices are pretty steep. A single sondesh is about Rs.45. But I've always found their quality and efficiency good enough to visit regularly.

Its as good as it gets in Bangalore. A lot of north-Indians would crave for the mithais from the towns I suppose and I would be one. I do not know if this is especially bengali, but its good.
Its a very simple small sweet shop. It has samosas, barfis, kaju barfi, kaju samosa, ras malai, rabri, chena rasogulla and god knows what! No place to sit but it is supposedly a take away shop. And its good! Very good!
The samosas are a little different though, with peanuts! first in my life. Wont complain though.
The prices are high but for the rare taste I would accept with a smile.

Good Bengali Sweets in Whitefield area. Having being a Bengali, whenever I feel like eating sweets, I walk down to this place which is few kilometres from where I am staying. This is very small, nice and clean stall. In the breakfast you can have their radhaballavi and alu dum, those will make you feel like you are in Kolkata. Most importantly Sweets are very good and fresh. One must try misti doi here, you will love it. As a whole my experience is very sweet.

A Premium Brand of Authentic Bengali Sweets & Savouries in bangalore. Nothing much to say about the place as its a very small, clean stall with two chairs placed inside. People mostly choose take away. Their radhaballavi &alu dum, singara (samosa) and veg chop are very good in taste, and have not find any other eatery which can beat these items in bangalore. Sweets are good and fresh. Must try is their misti doi (sweet yogurt), you will love it definitely. Prices are little higher but that's ok, as it reminds me the kolkata wala taste.

We at BANCHHARAM take pride in the quality and hygiene of the products we offer. In fact to ensure freshness each of our store has a pantry and the savouries like Singara , Veg Chop, Radhaballavi etc are freshly fried in batches at the store itself .

We are extremely sorry that you had a bad experience with our snacks . Would like to know more about the same so that we could address/ rectify lapses,if any.

We would be obliged if you kindly write to us at jssfoodcraft@gmail.com

Banchharam is an integral part of our winters in Bangalore, because thats when they have their yummy palm jaggery (Gud) sweets. The Gud Rasogulla is a must try here. The variety of Sandesh is also amazing. Sometimes Sandesh is a little sour and not fresh. Their samosas are best for kids as they aren't spicy. It is at a very busy junction on the old airport road. So go by a two wheeler as you may not be able to park a car.

A decent place if you are craving for some bengali sweets especially malaichop, gurer rosogolla and sandesh.. Though you may be a bit reluctant to shell out additional bucks for the sweets you get but the prices are reasonable for what bengaluru sweet shops doll out... Sandesh sweet (both jaggery n sugar) are very good provided you pick up in the evening when they get their fresh lot. Its little over prized but since it is located on main road and easily accessible, its safe bet in Marathalli Yemalur area.
