Nice biryani , kabab not up to the mark
So this is a budget place to eat, but when it comes to biriyani, IMO, it is second only to Mani's Dum Biriyani. This place is an undiscovered gem.
They serve two biriyanis - a cheap Ambur Dum biriyani and a more expensive Hyderabad Dum biriyani. The hyderabad special biriyani is simply amazing. It won't be long before this place acquires a name for itself simply because of this biriyani. The only other biriyani other than Mani's that I would anyday recommend to others as something you won't regret.
Yes, the place is dingy. It's not a high brow restaurant. But the biriyani is properly cooked and is nothing to be worried about, unless you can't stomach spices well. And when I say 'spices' I mean aromatic flavours not over the top amount of chilli heat (I can't believe Kritungas is still in business). My suggestion is, go there and get the hyderabad biriyani as a takeout and eat it at home. It really is amazing!
Must try Hyderabad dum biryani and kabab
An authentic Ambur biriyani served here with the kabab is at its best. Some additional starters are also served there. This biriyani is not that spicy but it definitely produce a different tatse
Now the management and cook has been changed many dishes have been added Hyderabadi byrani and Hyderabadi masala is very good. Try it.
