Well, let me talk about the History of Shalini Veg. It was a small Darshini kind of a place when husband & wife started in Muneshwara Block with some handpicked South Indian fare for both lunch & dinner. The owner is from South Canara if I am not wrong. I have realised after seeing the portrait of Dr. Veeranna Hegde. I was wondering why they shut the place in Muneshwara block. Since this was life saver for almost an year. Last week, I have noticed in Padmanabhanagar. Surprisingly, the same owner was sitting in the Cash Counter.
Shalini Veg serves some authentic South Canara style breakfast which made of good quality ingredients. Since I have an habit of looking at the brands of ingredients they use.
The Shalini Veg here is bigger & better with an extended menu of North Indian & Chinese which is not required. Since they are good with South Indian delicacies. Along with the normal dishes I would suggest Mangalore Buns, Ottu Shavige & Thatte Idly are must try!
Very hygienic hotel in the padmanabhanagar area, food is very tasty, I like Chinese items here. But me and my friend's need Home delivery service, but hotel doesn't provide it
Great food, friendly staff, excellent service! They cater to both South Indian and North Indian food! Masala Dosa, Idly Samar, Vada and piping hot authentic South Indian filter coffee are highly recommended!!
This is one restaurant I can visit n number of times for Breakfast/Lunch/dinner. My favorites include Idly Sambar, Mughalai Biryani, Gobi Chilly and Veg Hot & sour soup. I strongly recommend this Restaurant for everybody anytime in Bangalore South.
Best in the vicinity for South Indian food. Among the north Indian starters best are baby corn pepper dry and Spanish munchurian. All rice varieties are good.

Awesome food for a proper meal. Dishes are tasty and service is fast and good even during weekends place is very hygienic too. Must visit for hot masala dosa and mangalore buns.
Awesome Food, Best South Indian Restaurant Availible at this locality. Idly Sambar, Buns, Evening Snacks like Bonda Soups, Goli Baje are the ones you must not miss at this restaurant. Visit Once to Enjoy the delicacies of Malenadu, Kundapura Style.
Known for awesome taste.... sunday south pulav is very tasty, north indain curry are really good, and as usually south dishes are really great... must try....
