Tiny no-frills place in Kammanahalli that serves awesome authentic Malabar cuisine. They also serve shawarmas and grilled chicken.
Service: 5 out of 5. Mr. Ashok, was on-the-ball with suggestions, polite and the food was on our table within ten minutes.
Food & Beverage: 5 out of 5. Excellent food, we tried the Valayappam, Egg Curry, Squid Masala and Kerala Beef Fry. All excellent. The Shawarmas were okay. We finished off our meal with tea - one of our group had the regular brewed tea (and she was very impressed - even though she's a mallu and makes fantastic tea herself), the rest of us had lemon tea. Again, perfect.
Ambience: 3 out of 5. Being a small eatery, Don't expect plush interiors. However, that being said, the place is very clean and tidy. The crowd is very decent, too.
Overall Experience: 4.5 out of 5 and total value for money. Will definitely be going there more often.
I have tried everything on the menu, but could not get enough of it. If you are looking for great malabari dishes then FOOD MAGIC RESTAURANT is the place to be. Opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving delicacies like Nadan chicken, pepper chicken, biryani, appam, stew, puttu and kadala curry. Fantastic job. Cheers.
This is a typical Kerala Cafè/dhaba/restaurant! Solid food options!! Their food is absolutely smashing! A tad bit spicy but definitely happening if you know what to expect! The lemon tea is absolutely fantastic! You’ll get amazing non-veg options for brekkie by around 09:00 which is just wonderful! The beef is happening and totally sendable with dosas, and you must try it with khara bhath!
Finally found a great place for eat Kerala food. Biriyani is yummy! Especially biriyani covered with banana leaf, Its called "Ilayil pothinja biriyani!". They taking party orders also. We can get varieties of sea food here. Only problem is its a small dining area.
One of my favourite kerala restaurants in Bangalore. The parota here is the best in Bangalore. The meat curry, the chicken roast, chicken biriyani are some of the most delicious varieties you'll find in very few places alike. The service is really great. The place is kind of small and no cell reception, however once you start eating you'll forget your surroundings
Small place, in expensive, ideally located, friendly staff. Debit cards can be used on a bill over Rs100. THough I didnt have cash at all, they swipped for 80Rs.
I ordered idiyappam with chana masala costed me 70Rs and 10rs tea.
Authentic Kerala restaurant.
Good types of foods available there and their service was also good. But they need to improve the space for dining and change the Briyani methods. And also give something reasonable to the Egg Roast, They just give the onion tomato gravy and put some boiled egg. They don't fry it. Try to change this food also. Price was reasonable
Nice hotel which I have visited for the last 10 days. Tasty food and good quality. If you wanna Malabar style food then definitely it's a right choice to get in.
Nice place for mallu food in kamanahalli
Nominal prices, kerala dishes like Malabar biriyani, appam, idiyappam were of authentic taste. We had karimeen pollichathu, fish biriyani, prawn pepper fry. The fish could have been softer with less- coloured masala. Prawn was good.
