I used to pass this shop frequently with all my visits to the koramangala area. Never tried it here even though it was crowded till my friend pushed me to try here once. From that time I was a regular customer here my fav is congress(don't know the history of this name) and rava cake.I really like their marketing strategy while you are thinking of buying an item they will cut and give you a piece to try. That is an excellent strategy to keep the customers happy and engaged. Only complaint is they are premium priced.
This bakery is quite crowded most of the times. I mostly buy honey cake, horlicks barfi and dil pasand from here which they serve fresh.
Recently I tried nipat, which is a savoury snack, loved it totally.
Also, tried choco lava for the first time from here, which consisted more of chocolate than the cake.
The prices here are a bit higher than other Iyengars
A typical "Iyengars bakery".
But costlier than the others.
Fresh and tasty.
Puffs and honey cake are really good.
Its one of the old and best bakery near by kormangala.anything bakery items you want to purchase go here you will never regret
Everything is good. Their cakes are pretty light and tastier these days with more variety.
The Best place to have Hot and Fresh Puffs. All staff members are for North Karnataka, very good to talk. They give samples of snacks to taste before we buy. All the items are Fresh and Good..
The bakery items are delicious here, the shop looks neat and tidy with all the staffs cooperative to serve you with what you need. The prices are also reasonable. The nippat and the kodbale are my recommendations.
We had ordered cake for my niece's birthday 🎂, so beautiful and yummy 😊 overall experience was good
Lot of options to have from cake to puff and all kinds of bakery items!!!
Iyengar Bakery is Bangalore's timeless bakery that still stands proud through decades (120 years) of shifting culinary trends and hits nostalgia especially to the native Bangaloeans. Koramangala outlet is quite busy anytime you go and the staff is friendly too.
Their typical products include butter, khara and coconut biscuits, a variety of puffs, buns, breads and cakes. Cakes, breads and puffs are my favourite and are absolute droolworthy! While Bangalore remains the point of origin, Iyengar bakeries are spread across the southern cities of Mysuru, Hyderabad, Chennai and even Pune. “There are close to 2,000 bakeries in Bengaluru, but not all of them are authentic Iyengar bakeries. Many have mastered the recipes by working in the original bakeries,” says the owner.
