Great ambience. Great choice of music. And the food is also very home like. They give a lot of choices in the thali. You should definitely order it. Also after trying chicken, fish and mutton add-ons, I felt the mutton was the best amongst three.. we also ordered biriyani, but the taste of elachi and cardemon was too much. It didn't felt Kolkata style that much.
Food taste is very good and delicious, ambience is great..avg cost per person can vary between ₹300-500.
Sorse express is newly opened in mahadevpura. They have one more branch in whitefield near forum mall.
Online order: available, zomato, swiggy
Parking: available, you need to park in the roadside if u r bringing four wheeler.
Food: authentic Bengali style
Service: good. Sometimes service is late in peak hours when the crowd is too much. Otherwise it is quite fast.
Sitting area: capacity Max 30. Better to book take before going there. Weekends you can expect rush over here. During Bengali festival times it is suggested to call and book take before going there.
Must try: the non-veg Thali, mutton, fish, prawn
A very cozy place with good bengali food. Very reasonable price with impressive quantity and quality..
Positives : Very good food and quality is very high. Love it
Negetives : This place was a little hard to find.
Taste is awesome but the place is bit clumsy and suffocative. Worth a try if you like Bengali cuisine.
Authentic bengali food. They use good ingredients and maintain proper hygiene. I liked the service and taste of food is so authentic and good. The food quantity is decent. Worth to visit if you want to taste bengali cuisine.
It's a very cosy and quaint little place situated in a quiet alley near the Mahadevapura Bus Stop. The seating capacity is decent, and the ambience is good, with a nice touch of traditional Bengali artwork and cheerful lighting.
Coming to the food, it's very good actually overall. We ordered a mutton combo, cholar dal, basmati rice, katla kalia, rui fry, and rosogolla for dessert.
The food is very delicious, and the amount provided per item (the a la carte ones) is easily sufficient for two. They are cooked in traditional Bengali style. The service was very prompt, and the staff was very cordial, polite and friendly. They even provided a 20% discount. The bill came around 800, however the food was quite sufficient for 3 people approximately. So it's great on value for money. It's one of those hidden gems in Bangalore where you can find good Bengali food.
The spongy rosogolla deserves a special mention, as that was one of the finest I had in Bangalore. It's definitely a good place to satisfy your Bengali food cravings, and the ambience and seating capacity and arrangements is good enough to host parties or even family gatherings of any sort.
I'm very pleased with the experience overall, it ticks all the right boxes, in ambience, taste, service and value for money.
Awesome cosy place and delicious food. It's finally great to have piping hot Bengali food whenever there is a craving for it. The decor is awesome, a mix of modernity and tradition. Nicely Done!
We have ordered fish fry and mochar chop...test was ok type and not so impressive. Bhoj thala also ok and we found it bit spicy. Service people are really good and cooperative. By mistake we ordered more items but they accept late cancelation. I like ambient ... specifially bengali songs from Anupam Roy.
