Great ambience in a quaint old house in a quiet lane. The menu is very unique. What you can expect is very fresh home cooked food, that you don't usually find in hotels. It's healthy, organic, wholesome food for slightly higher price. They don't store food overnight in fridge which ensures freshness. For this reason, service was a bit slow as they freshly cook the food.

A hidden gem nestled adjacent to the ever green madhavan park. It really is a hidden gem as there is nothing from outside which makes it stand out. Looks like any other charming old homes which are part of old Bangalore. But step in and you are bound to get blown away by the ambience. They have retained every aspect of a welcoming home. The hosts are so welcoming as well and do explain everything about the menu and help you navigate with it. The menu is a fusion of South Indian favorite dishes with a contemporary touch. Everything is organic and you can tell it's fresh too. The place is not lavishly big so a big group might find it difficult. Price is very reasonable too. A in house store let's you buy groceries which are organic. My present favorite place.

Awesome place, food and people. It is one of the best veg restaurants in Bangalore. Ambience: This is a remodelled old house with a lot of traditional items giving a retro feel. Attention to detail is what I was surprised at - stray stones assembled like what we could see in old days (90s). Flooring is so good and authentic like old days, we decided to sit on the floor seating. It was really good for me, but people who are not accustomed to sitting down for food might not be comfortable. They can choose other seating arrangements though. Camphor smoke smell gives that wonderful feeling. Only thing that could be improved is the mosquito control. But they have taken steps. This area in general has a lot of mosquitoes we found while parking our car near a park. Comparatively it was less inside the restaurant. Overall we loved the authentic ambience and that sets the tone for what we gonna eat. Food: Menu is plain and simple, that's what make me happy. Because too many items on menu is always tricky and takes a lot time to guess what to eat. We ordered Kothambir Vadi, Bullet Kadubu, Biksha bowl, Podi rice, Roti Meals and payasam. We loved our food so much that we left our plates clean. They say everything is made from organic ingredients and one could see that in the taste and happy tummy. Akki roti was suggested to us, though I had a prejudice against it because of my previous encounters with them in other places in Bangalore. After they insisted its good, I gave it a try. To my surprise, this one was really really good and shown how a good Akki roti would taste. Thanks for that. Other dishes were equally good and we loved it like other reviewers. Payasam everything is edible including the ragi cup holding it :) Nice touch to presentation. Service: Most of the restaurants, food and service are always opposite to each other. This is one of the places that stand as an outlier for such notion. Caretakers took care of us with utmost courteousness and knowledgeable at what they serve. This makes sure that their suggestions are based on what you would love. Overall this is one of the best casual dining place to pay a visit.

It's awesome. Though resto name sounds western but food taste resembles "made in granny house". Purely organic. We tried - Bullet Kadabu - All spice hot drink (Must try) - Papadi chat (Papadi made of rice) - Akki rotti meal All were really good. Ambience is just out of the box. From outside it's looks like a 70's home entrance & inside it's really well managed for seating. Good to visit with family & friends. Looking forward to visit again.

Hungry buffalo is best described as a beautiful experience. This is a malnad cuisine restaurant with ethically sourced ingredients from all over India. It can also be described as a farm to table restaurant. Idea of the restaurant is not to cater to masses but to quality. This is not a place for parties but for soulful food. Remember to respect the hosts and other guests and keep your volumes low and enjoy the experience. Take time to speak to Kishore and ask him about the story behind each dish, be ready to be surprised and in awe. Please do call them and make a reservation as this place is bound to be extremely busy very soon. Every dish (entree, main, drinks) is crafted and cooked to perfection. I would suggest you to try 1 of each dish and drink and make it a tasting menu :). Jolada rotti here brought immense happiness. Ambience of the place is spellbinding.

Place for healthy, homely and lovely food. Hospitality was excellent. Felt like being at home :) We had puchkas, chappathi meal, roti meal, payasam and bullet kadubus. All food are freshly prepared out of fresh pest-free, non-toxic vegetables. Each bite felt so good. Especially the (real) akki roti. Didn't know that akki roti could be this soft and tasty. Came to that this is how an actual akki roti tastes. I don't think we could find this anywhere else in Bangalore. Overall, highly recommended. Just go there and eat. You won't regret :)

A quaint little cafe, with a pleasing ambience, warm hospitality and most of all, wonderful food A We were absolutely amazed to know from the owners, that food is served in its purest form - from the vegetables to the spices and the grains, everything is organic! Even the cookies! The organic store, adjacent to the cafe is a must visit too!

I had to meet a friend for lunch and he said he'd take me to a place that was a nice cafe in Jayanagar. Little did I know that we'd end up in a quaint little place that took me back to memories of my ancestral home in my father's village. This place had simple furniture, red oxide flooring, comfortable rustic decor and just felt so homely. The food was amazing. There were items on the menu that I've not tasted before because of them being prepared differently and with organic ingredients that tasted as fresh as fresh can be. I am pretty sure all the health benefits I got out of eating such a great meal were offset by me overeating. I'd strongly recommend a visit just to get authentic, unconventional, tasty and healthy food that fills your stomach and also warms your heart.
