I met a friend here and we connected beautifully over food.
Great food. Good for a South Indian bite. First floor environment is great with spacious and clean area. The only unpleasant thing is the unprofessional server whom I faced. Otherwise a good experience.
MTR, the renowned restaurant, lives up to its reputation with a delightful breakfast spread. The place was bustling with people, which led to a slight waiting time, but it was well worth it. The food was excellent, and I had the chance to savor a variety of dishes like idli, vada, masala dosa, poori etc. However, I must admit that the cost is slightly on the higher side. While the taste justifies the expense, it might not be the most budget-friendly option for everyone. Parking can also be a challenge during rush hours.
The close is open till 9;3pm. We reached around 9, ordered their Mangalore buns, masala dosa and butter dosa and filter coffee. The Mangalore buns are really good, they're crispy and sweet. The masala dosa was really heavy and they even give a generous amount of ghee on the side as well.
Overall liked it and will definitely visit again to try other menu items.
If you want to get a true slice of Bangalore, you must visit MTR! The food is authentic, fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed the masala dosa, and my kids loved the rava idli and the puri sagoo... I was practically drinking the sambar! The mini Tiffin is also a cute little Smorgasboard of different dishes! We had to finish the meal with a gadbud dessert! An ice cream sundae with lots of nuts and strawberry sauce! There are so many items to choose from that there's something for everyone in a group! And of course, it's all vegetarian!
Authentic south Indian food. We had masala dosa, rice idli, chow chow bath, and filter coffee. Everything was quite good, especially the filter coffee.
Food is ok. I will give 3 out of five.
The only special thing is it is MTR brand restaurant that has a history. Not much special about taste as per my experience.
Service is fast.
The atmosphere could be a little better. Lots of noise from people and utensils.
The price is little high for a dosa and pav bhaji.
Visit at least one time. :)
Have been here for dinner. Ate set dosa, buns, mosambi juice and Puri. All were good in taste. Saagu was really nice in taste. Liked it a lot. They have seating capacity in the ground floor and first floor too. I felt first floor service is slow compared to group floor. All staffs are kind and service was quite quick
Perfect place for pure vegetarian lunch. Nice ambience, humble staff and a lot of varieties to eat. The quantity of full lunch package is is so enough that you will have to surrender before them that no i will not eat more. All south items with good taste and freshness. Must visit place for lunch.
