We were so happy to find out that the legendary Chikkanna tiffin room had opened a branch in HSR layout now. My husband had their thuppa khali dose and the pudi idli. He loved the dose as it was super soft and just like home-made dose. I had the pudi masal dose, the pudi and masale both tasted so good, and the chutney was delicious too. You can ask them to make the dose without ghee and they’ll happily oblige.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is just amazing. The menu isn't big: a few varieties of dosas, parathas and a few other other things. But all of their items taste very good. Their parathas especially are well filled with delicious stuffing. Just one paratha is enough for one person.

We tried Ghee khali dosa and ghee bath masala dosa. Both were superb in taste. Restaurant is newly opened. This is part of the other CTR branches in Bangalore and has the same menu and central kitchen. It’s a quick South Indian eatery which is self service only.
