Bhopal Express, the Shaan-E-Bhopal is the world’s first restaurant that has been built inside a renovated broad gauge railway coach. Enjoying food here is like a musical journey with delicious food in train. Its ambiance is the most unique, nature all around and it’s very clean and hygienic. Its chole chat samosa and seekh kabab is the very tasty and unique.
Nice place and excellent food. Especialy mutton and kebabs i liked most. The train kind of environment gives a nice feeling, the delivery time of food is little delay .overall gd experience
Going by the name the whole ambience is centered around the Indian railway theme! You'll see the station and then the train inside which they have the dine-in seating arrangement. And the feel of station and a train doesn't just get over with it but the view from window which is animated and movements of compartment are all dynamic to give you the real experience of sitting inside a train. That's quite unique thing found in a restaurant in Bhopal.
I had paneer tikka, veg seekh kebab, palak paneer, igatpuri bhindi and kaju curry ! Everything right from the way crockeries were set up to the taste of the food were great. Staff was courteous.
Overall happy and would #recommend to visit with family for dinner.
Fantastic place with a really unique concept of railway bogie transformed into a dining space.
The food here is amazing especially the meat dishes, "murgh rihana deccan queen" here was heavenly. The service is also extremely good and the ambience will definitely make your dining experience better.
Ambience of this restaurant is quite nice....you dine within train compartments. Decor is great...staffs are helpful and courteous. The taste of the foods can be improved as the Bhuna Gosth I ordered, appeared to be little bitter probably due to overcooking of the onions. Apart from that, this place is nice for a themed dinner experience
Very interesting and unconventional ambience! Food was delicious, specially the Aloo Dum! Also liked their tandoori roti, which was made largely of Atta instead of pure Maida. Staff was very courteous and prompt. Highly recommended!
Visited this place after reading the very good reviews on various sites. One thing is sure, the experience was beyond my expectations. The ambience of this restaurant is great. I ordered veg biryani and kurkuri bhindi which were delicious. Phirni was the best dessert they served. Definitely up for a second visit.
Best place in bhopal. Awesome food with enough quantity and best quality. Everything was best. Staff was polite and well behaved. Also nice location. Food was affordable.
Went with my family, awesome place, delicious food,friendly staff,one should definitely try this place atleast once, we have ordered veg seekh kebabs, paneer tikka, both these dishes are mouth watering,for main course we hv ordered dal makhni, hydrabadi paneer and biryani, each and everything is so delicious, now comes to the ambience part very unique concept ,it gives you feel like you r travelling in some luxurious train and having awesome food, a must go place.
I liked the concept of this train restaurant which is beaitifully Decorated and well maintained. However the service was slow and food was okay, not that great. However Naan was so amazing that you can eat it without any sabzi. They had live music as well.
Restaurant's location is perfect The ambience inside and outside is beautifully planned and well maintained, staff are cordial and has good idea of what's served in the menu. The food is regular only uniqueness is the names given in the menu. I found the quantity of food is less for the amount it's charged.
It's a good place to experience descent food with a different ambience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bhopal Express, a unique restaurant built on a rail coach and situated by the picturesque Bhopal Lake. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the restaurant's ambiance and atmosphere.
The first thing that caught my eye was the live music, which provided a lively and upbeat backdrop to the dining experience. The view of the lake from the restaurant's outdoor seating area was breathtaking, and I appreciated the option of both indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather.
The staff at Bhopal Express were excellent and very attentive to our needs. They were always on hand to answer any questions we had and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
One thing that really impressed me was the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always a good sign of a well-maintained establishment.
Now, onto the food. The options were abundant and there was something for everyone. I tried several dishes and each one was more delicious than the last. The chefs clearly take pride in their work and the presentation of each dish was impressive.
Overall, I would highly recommend Bhopal Express to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in a beautiful location. The live music, lakefront views, excellent staff, clean facilities, and delicious food make this restaurant a must-visit in Bhopal.

Located near upper lake this establishment is quite unique as the restaurant is inside a train coach. Interiors replicate the ambience of maharaja express as told by the manager. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating arrangement.
The food is good enough and is moderately expensive. It doesn't open before 12 noon so you might wanna go there only after 1. The place is quite pretty with beautiful murals and paintings providing a good backdrop for photography.

It's a pretty decent restaurant near Jehen Numa palace. They've designed the whole place like one single train coach, a very creative idea. There's one major issue, that is space for sitting, if you are a group of 4 or more you're going to have a very hard time sitting properly. Unfortunately we were given space right next to the door, constantly having people going in and out, extremely uncomfortable to sit and no option to put tables together. Even a group of 3 here will start feeling like a crowd. No complaints about the food overall, liked everything on the menu, another thing I didn't like was the fact that they had some background chatter similar to that inside of a train, it got extremely annoying because it was too repetitive. Otherwise it was an overall decent experience, the service and people inside were really sweet and helpful.
Wonderful ambience , excellent food with reasonable price. Staffs are well
behaved but need to be little more professional. As we reached on 7th August for early dinner at 6:50pm , on of the staff told us come after 10mints as restaurant will open at 7pm. So we came back again at 7:10pm and then the staff asked us if we have any table booking which we didn't have and neither the staff guided us for booking when we reached there early .Some how we managed to get the table.
So before going make sure that you have booked your table.
I would highly recommend this place.
The food is amazing. The cost is slightly on the higher side but not too high.
This place provides good ambience both inside and outside.
If you want to sit inside, we have a whole lavish train compartment with food and drinks..
Outside ambience is also very nice with live music every weekends.
The food service might be a little slow. So, not an ideal place if you are in a hurry.
Everyone in bhopal should visit this place atleast once.
Went to celebrate the birthday of a loved one. Great service, great food, and a beautiful setting of vintage train.
