Government maintenance is lacking here. Consider hiring a guide; otherwise, you'll just be looking at animals with no context. Guide rates are ₹250 per hour for groups under 10 and ₹300 per hour for over 10 people. Even with a guide, opt for an e-vehicle ticket for a less tiring and comprehensive zoo experience. Instead of a counter ticket, scan for an e-ticket outside the ticket building. Guides may ask ₹500; show them the government rates on the website to negotiate. E-vehicle tickets may have queues but are worth it. Unfortunately we didn't get safari tickets due to crowd. The tour takes 1.30-2 hours; carry a water bottle and eat beforehand as outside food isn't allowed. Remember your cap and goggles after 11 am. The diverse animal collection is fascinating with a guide. Closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. Entry fee-50/person(adult),for kids below 5 years 10/_ Safari-65/person(non-ac), 100/person(ac). E-vehicle 80/-

A really decent zoo, on its way to become a quite unique zoo. The varieties and quantities of animals they have is not that impressive compared to other famous zoos I've visited. But it is fairly entertaining. They even have battery cars for the elderly who can't walk. One special point about them is that they have an area where they have separate division for types of animals. Like bear, tigers, lion they all live in a real mini forest made for them and we enter it through a bus. Loved the concept.

I had the best time ever on my trip to the zoo! The trip was enjoyable due to the wide range of animals and interesting exhibitions. The well-maintained facilities and the competent staff enhanced the whole experience. A must-see for anyone who love animals! You have to experience boating, ropeway rides, and safari❣️ Entry fee: ₹50 per adult Safari: ₹65 (non-AC), ₹100 (AC) per person. Try to book tickets online through their official website. Online tickets booking is only for entry. You have to book tickets offline for safari.

Exciting place to visit for the children specially. Better to buy tickets online as there will be a lot of crowds during the weekends especially. Inside the zoo is a plastic free zone, so don't bring any plastic bottles or other snacks. In case you want to, then you need to get the plastic packaging replaced by paper packing in the counter situated just outside the zoo. For water plastic bottles, you need to surrender it at the cost of 50 rupees which is refundable and you take the bottle back along with the money at the time of exit. Now coming inside the zoo, there is no hire a guide. You can take an e-car if you wish to avoid much walking. Otherwise there are maps that help you on your path forward. There is a children's park as well at the start. You will find sitting areas throughout the zoo as well. The zoo has a wide variety of animals, including white tiger, elephant, zebra, girrafe etc. it has also an aquarium with a good variety of fishes that children will love. It also has a reptile zone though that could have been better. For Toy train, there is a long wait. I didn't think it was worth it so we skipped it. Safari is also of no point here, you will hardly see any new animals other than what you already watched. Overall an exciting and thrilling place to visit. You will not get bored for sure. A must visit. Not giving 5 star as i have been to Mysore zoo and i think that its better than this one(only slightly:))

Very largest zoo. Plastic free zone maintained. Need to maintain cleaness. Otherwise all is good. Mostly all kind to animals available. Small aquarium also there. Safari is not recommended. Because it's Waste of time nothing else. On Monday is closed. Drinking 🚰 water facility available. Washroom also well maintained. Family can enjoy one day picnic.

Nandankanan is renowned for its active involvement in wildlife conservation and breeding programs. It's not just a zoo but also a sanctuary and a botanical garden dedicated to saving endangered species. It gained international fame for successfully breeding white tigers, a rare and endangered species. Nandankanan houses a significant botanical garden alongside its zoo, making it a unique combination of wildlife and plant conservation. It's located in a picturesque forested area, adding to its natural beauty and providing a more immersive experience for visitors. The park features a large aviary and an impressive aquarium, offering diverse experiences beyond typical zoos. These factors make Nandankanan Zoological Park stand out as a prominent wildlife conservation and education center in India.
