Review Koi Asian Dining & Bar - Calangute

Been there in Goa for 3 days. So, i was in North Goa and visited this very known place and famous for asian fine dine. This place has already won so many awards and their best was to win for best cocktails in 2017. I was amazed to see how beautiful the place is. Full on asian dining feel. We have tried their few mocktails and one that stand out for me is their 2 mocktails i.e KAFFIR LIME LEMONADE which is made from lemon grass ,kaffir lime leaves and mix soda. So refreshing! Another one was FAUX ROYALE which is made of raspberry, apple juice and mix soda. The one thing that is their main selling item is Khowsuey. Its a burmese dish soup meal made of egg noodles and chicken with coconut milk. Side by side lemons and egg Noddles and various kind of items was there to select and make your own khowsuey. Smoking dry chicken was amazing in taste and has that burnt flavor which is too good. Sushis are must to try here whether it's tuna or any other. To end with , chocolate fondant cake served with ice cream is must to have in dessert. So amazing in taste. Overall, if you are in north Goa side and lover of asian food. Its must place to go. You will be never disappointed and try their drinks as well.

Craving for Asian food in Goa? Koi Asian Dining is the answer. What we had: We started off with Chicken Dumplings & Spinach/Corn Dumplings. Great starters and one the best tasting veg dumpling we have had. Duck Roll portions filled with crispy shredded duck. This dish was a revelation. It disappeared in a minute. Honey Chilli Lotus Stem. A crispy delight. Koi is also known for its sushi. We had the Veg Tempura Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Must say it tasted much much better that any of the times we had sushi before. We are big fans of tuna rolls now!! For mains we had Beef Rendang and Massaman Curry both served with steamed sticky rice. The curry is a must try. It is delightfully creamy. The Beef Rendang was equally tasty. Coctails were ordered to wash down all the amazing food. Yours Forever(Strawberry Champagne) Maruhabaa Mimosa Fingatini Bellini(Peach Schnapps & Chandon) Rossini(Raspberry laced Champagne) Each one of them were spot on. They have very willing and friendly staff. Asian themed decor to go with the food. People visiting Goa should make it a must visit food destination. We definitely are visiting again.

What you should not miss: Red Wine Strawberry Sangria, Sushi, Khowsuey and Spicy Basil Rice. And their in-house sauces and Kimchi. Read the full review below: Koi is an Asian restaurant in Calangute region of Goa. The restaurant is named Koi (a fish) that holds a sense of prosperity, significance, and a broad spirit of achievement. Their logo also has Koi fused in it. The entire place gives a vibe of tranquillity with dark shade tones, beautiful Buddha statues, the paintings, and chandeliers juxtaposed together. Koi will tell a lot about the classy taste of the brand. The hospitality is exceptionally polite and friendly, and the food is worth raving. Here is how the evening of excellent drinks and great food went off. Me being a Gooner for wine, so, I called for Frozen Strawberry Red Wine Sangria and a White Wine Sangria. The Red one is their in-house creation with fresh strawberries. My sister tried The Singapore Sling and Alphonso. All the drinks were fantastic and perfectly went with the food we ordered. Their in-house sauces are just amazing and the Kimchi they serve is delish. Sushi is my go-to dish whenever I see one on a menu, so we ordered Sushi Platter that included Shitake, Veg. Tempura and Asparagus Roll. When the platter arrived, it looked like an artistic arrangement of pearls put together and framed with a splatter of warm colors. Well, it tasted excellent, and the entire plate was wiped clean in no time. P.S.: I did try my hands on eating with chopsticks, and I succeeded reasonably. Koi Khowsuey is a delight to eyes and your taste buds with the Yellow curry, Steamed noodles, and 14 condiments; it’s colorful and flavourful. The curry is subtle in flavor, and the spices along take care of the crunch with the peanuts & Fried onions, fried noodles, fried basil, the udon noodles add a distinctive texture, the leek & coriander gives a freshness and herby flavor. Lemon and Chilli flakes for the extra zest. I am going to miss this one the most. A trip to Goa for this Khowsuey will be a long trip, but trust me it will be worth it. Hot Crispy Tofu is panko coated tofu pieces mildly flavored with spices served over a bed of dry red chilies. Looked very simple yet turned out to be a great appetizer. We also tried the Koi Soy Krapow a mock meat version of krapow tossed with garlic, chilly, soy sauce, and basil. Tried this for the first time and it turned out to be delicious and goes well with steamed rice. Another dish that we cherished is the Spicy Thai Basil Rice. Well every meal has to end however good it is, so we tried the Molten Chocolate cake with Coconut Icecream and BlackBerries. Some things stay with you for a long time, a meal at Koi is one such thing. You mostly visit places for either excellent experience or food, but there are very few places that offer you both and Koi, Goa makes it to the list. While Goa is all about letting yourself loose, relaxed and try to accomplish a state of peace, Koi turns out to be a great spot to do so, all you need to do it order a drink, listen tothe playlist and the rest will be taken care off. Koi Goa a big Thumbs up to the team. Well did I forget to mention they are pet-friendly? At Koi, it gets better with every minute.

Awesome restaurant, my wife kids and I loved the food. Definitely recommend this place. The owner was really nice, came and spoke to us and gave us some recommendations.

Amazing place. A little expensive but the ambience is just perfect. The singers were so soothing. Food tasted amazing too . Although we searched Google for Korean restaurant, but it isn't a Korean restaurant it's Asian so you won't get proper Korean here. So, Google to blame for that😅. Anyways loved the food. Sushi was tightly intact and wine was cheap.😁

Koi never seizes to surprise and cater to the best of your taste buds! Everytime I go here I love the entire culinary experience and crave for more! Will go here everytime I am in Goa!!!

Awesome Chinese culinary and the moment you enter, you get a feeling of calm and peace. Its location is a bit inside and sometimes it become difficult to find, but once you are in, you will love the time. Food is quite quantititive and pricing is reasonable. Tastes good too!!

It's hidden in a small lane but quite bug from inside. Ambiance is good wit nice bar and outside seating.good service and menu (wish they could include dumplings in there also) food taste good and authentic. If you have craving for South East Asian cuisine then this is the place.

Koi is my all time favorite. I come to Goa every year and for the last two years (when I find the restaurant) I take away food parcels from them and everybody say that the food is lipsmacking. Specially the pork belly and five spice roast duck.

Probably the best place to have Chinese in North Goa, when all other restaurants serving poorly cooked and over spiced Noodles in the name of Chinese. Wonderful Ambience, decoration and perfect for a Romantic dinner.

Entered an empty restaurant only to be questioned three times by the staff if we had a reservation! Which given the good reviews and the busy tourist season, we had booked a table. As we entered my baby was very upset and I was trying to settle him down but still the serving staff constantly bugged me asking me to order my drink when they could clearly see I was trying to calm my child! And they could have waited and given us time to settle down! Anyways though tempted to leave the restaurant but since we were hungry we decided to order some food! Again the waiter was in a great rush to serve us given there were only two tables occupied, couldn't understand the rush they were in to serve the food! So much so that they dropped our belongings without waiting for us to move things! The food arrived and very honestly the food was pretty good & we were pleased with the food. A bottle of Sula Zinfandel was more expensive than the price at the Taj hotel! We know because we had ordered the same bottle of wine a day before at the restaurant in Taj fort Aguada hotel! As we were finishing our desert and requested for our bill which arrived promptly and We paid it in cash which my husband counted twice in front of the waiter, the waiter plonked the box in which they give you the bill on my side whilst I was still finishing my dessert and started counting the cash! This really annoyed me and I had to ask for the owner to come and see us! The waiter insisted that he had to check the cash in front of us and when I questioned why given that we are still sat here finishing the our dessert to which he had no good explanation to! One of the owners did come and seemed to have dismissed that member of staff immediately. All in all we did not have a pleasant experience and although the food was good but then there are many other restaurants which serve good food as well! The service was very poor and the attitude of staff very bad! I would definitely not go back! PS: they do not have child seats so if you are visiting with infants or toddlers then unless you hold them in your arms taking turns or propping them on their sofa seat if one is available is your only option.

Authentic Food Flavour from Asia in dis Cute Little Home like Dining in Calunghute, Goa. Experience would have been much more above satisfying if The Management could look after the power back up which was missing n enjoyment with my 4 yr came to a halt when we were about to relish d food served .20 mins passed by n no lights..So Eventually it was a Candle light setting in the endwhich again was sweet as cud Feel Buddha wall n its meaning..My daughter loved the food though shes jus 4 , hence finished 80 % platter al alone The Newer addition to soothe your evenings while dining is singing by Mr. Bors Bey which surely can be crowd puller in top season hours only if the hotel looks after that He doesnt go off stage in between while performing due to Light vanishing scene.Shefali the Owner is sweet enough to introduce herself n her interests apart from the Hotel business which was sweet enough. Good points ... 1 Fab Decor 2.Awesume Asian Food def relishing your taste buds. 3.Very Upmarket place yet so Home like setting. .. PS.If you a lover of Asian cuisine n wana b lost in it irrespective of other factors mentioned above.. Also if U luv Buddhas n His pictures over.. GO TRY with gr8 Mood to satisfy your Hunger.

Brilliant and a memorable experience at koi . Fine dining at its best . Amidst the humdrum of the local food which at times becomes overpowering with the vindaloos and rishad masalas .. YOU need an extra touch of something different .. . A must visit . Excellent and well chosen menu with a twist . Koi .. Not just the fish .. But a sign of prosperity and wealth ...and Buddha -Life and universe....an enlightening and delectable experience . Hits the pallet and the right spot . Warm and friendly staff . And the lovely hostess . And if she is in a good mood .. She will spin the best dessert ever .... Live .An evening to remember . Cheers

What a delightful evening with live music, great ambience and just amazing food. The fried rice and veg manchurian with secret sauces was authentic and superb. Live retro music at its best. Attentive service and soothing ambience. Perfect Night!

One of the best place i have been in GOA. Fine dinning Koi is sumptuous, stylish and just superb..Nicest host/people to take care of ur experience. Correct pricing ! Definitely Not to be missed.

Being in service industry the co owner Shefali does not fit in hospitality industry. Very rude and bad behaviour with us. Quality of food good and a very nice ambiance. But the way she speaks will destroy your evening. On the other hand the other partner is very gentle and nice person. Personal opinion is go and enjoy your evening but don’t speak to the lady.
Hussain Lalani
One of the finest restaurants serving fusion Asian cuisine in Goa !! Every dish ordered met more than expectation !! My personal favorite was the Red Snapper in Thai basil spices, prawn tempura, Red Thai curry, khousey and above all the live crepe station and can't miss the homemade coconut and banana praline ice cream !! So if in Goa u have to try this place can't miss it !! A flavourful experience for the entire family !!

Quiet overrated for asian food.
Ambiance is nicely set, making it feel like a fine dine indoors but the outdoor seating is much more relaxed; which is what we enjoyed.

The food was ok, nothing special. Menu has good choices, portions are not very big. Staff was nice and helpful.
Expensive for Goa standards but as it is set in the heart of the tourist hot spots it has got a very commercial feel to it.

Unlikely to visit again, definitely not value for money.

A very different ambience. The chicken dish was so amazing. It had this sauce which was adding an amazing flavor. A very different kind of experience. A must visit

The moment we walked in, there was a fragrance that made us feel welcomed. The lighting is shooting and the decor gorgeous. The food was pretty good too.

Order: Chicken Schezwan Style Noodles, Choco Lava Cake and Ice Cream

Service: The service was good. They were there to serve you every time. Ratings - 4/5

Quality: Chicken Schezwan Style Noodles was amazing. It was good, spicy and tasty, but less chicken pieces were there. Choco Lava Cake and Ice Cream was a disaster. Cake was good, but the ice cream was very bad. The taste was ice cream was like sour. Ratings - 3/5

Overall: The ambiance was fantastic. Food was ok ok. The place is very expensive when compared to quality and quantity. The service was good. They have live music for you at night which was very much good. Ratings - 3.5/5

It was January when I visited Goa. This restaurant definitely has the best Asian food ever. Starting with the Dim-sums to Sushi everything was totally worth crushing over.

We had also tried the crispy lotus leaves and in drinks we had sangria in red wine and white wine. Coming to the main course I have been a lover of Thai curry since forever now! The Thai Prawn curry was absolutely delicious with the perfect taste of coconut and extremely light. Last but not the least coming to the desserts, the chocolate fondue and lemon tart has to be my favourites. The presentation and dressing of all the cuisines is worth mentioning as well. If you’re staying in Calangute beach, Goa, you should definitely drop by here.
Pankaj Madhur Sharma
the host was good..
the sushi was okay..
but their ramen was truly very bad..
went to this place as reviews were good.. but was disappointed..

Nice place near Calangute beach. Good ambiance. They recommend koi khowsuey (a Burmese soup delicacy!-see the pic). It was a never before experience right form the presentation of the soup to the taste. Coconut flavours and aromas of the herbs were perfect, excellent soup, though It can be called a meal in itself 🙂. Staff were courteous and overall experience was excellent. One must go to this place.
Annie Kulshreshtha
Tried this place after hearing good reviews however was disappointed with my own experience there. I tried well known classics, including tom yum soup and kung pao chicken. While the food was delectable it was definitely "non traditional" in terms of looks and flavor. The tom yum was more of a clear lemon ginger broth and the kung pao based off hot garlic style sauce. Would recommend if you're up for challenging your mind and palate in exchange for decent asian fare.

Koi is love at first site. As soon as you'll enter, you would be greeted with impeccable interiors and a very beautiful decor. You could choose to sit in the a/c section or outside. I visited Koi a couple of days back on my trip to Goa and I fell in love with the place. The staff here is cheerful and courteous, which just adds to your entire dining experience.

From all the dishes that I tried I'd definitely recommend-
Smoking Dry Chilli Chicken
Crispy Duck Roll
Chicken Dimsums
Veg. Green Thai Curry
Prawn Red Thai Curry

But, it doesn't end here. I believe Koi is very underrated when it comes to desserts. I had 2 desserts here- Lemon Tart & Chocolate Fondant, both were exceptionally delicious. Desserts are must haves in Koi.
Highly recommended

Slow service
Below Avg food
Good ambience
Bad music
Super expensive
Not worth the money

We ordered shiitake mushrooms roll...₹800 for 8 pieces. The sticky rice was too mushy. It did not taste good. Also it arrived almost 30min after we placed an order, or reminding we were informed chef is busy and sushi takes time to prepare...very irrelevant.

Next we ordered Shanghai roll ₹275 for 2 pieces of crispy spring roll cut into 3 pieces each. I found it over priced and also the filling was quite bland and the outer covering had a frozen crunch to it.

Next was red Thai curry which was served with steamed rice and priced at ₹650. Red Thai curry ideally is suppose to be on the spicy side..it was horribly bland...at this point we complained to the manager and he re made the Thai curry for us but still it did not have a spicy touch to it.

At an Asian place first there was no music and then they played old Hindi songs.

We were very disappointed with the experience and it was truly not worth the price they charge
If you are in Goa and looking for a pretty place which also serves pan Asian food then Koi is your place.

I loved the dimsums here but the main course caught me off guard. The Thai curry, rice and noodles were fabulous. For vegetarian, crispy lotus stem and veg spring rolls could be your pick apart from sushi and dimsums. Do enjoy some hookah and sangria too. Chicken lovers like me should try the fried chili chicken .

Do not miss the desserts, the start or chocolate lava could be your pick.
Anirvan Chakravarti
Great location in North Goa . In my opinion the best place for Asian cuisine fine dining in Goa. Courteous staff and concerned owners. There is nothing on the menu that is not good or not worth its price. Excellent ambiance. A must visit . Highly recommended.
🙏

@anisha8188 – follow me on Instagram for my journey through food, travel & beyond.

Craving for some Asian food, we came across Koi Asian Dining in Calangute. With a Zomato rating of 4.4 (at the time), was really looking forward to this place.

They have indoor & outdoor seating. The interiors are done up well wherever you choose to sit. We preferred outdoors since the weather was pleasant & cool.

They have a selection of Sushis. Unfortunately that day they didn’t have Tuna, and both the dishes I wanted included that. So we got a couple of starters instead.

- Prawn Crackers: were the usual – very good.
- Koi Pork Ribs: though the menu mentions ‘ribs’, we were served pork chops – which made it quite heavy for an appetizer. Nonetheless tasted VERY good.
- Chicken & Prawn Dumplings: these were a letdown. The dough tasted funny & not fresh.
- Smoking Dry Chilli Chicken (servers recommendation): was a little dry as the chicken balls were over-fried.
- Belgian Chocolate Fondant with Coconut Gelato: takes 20 mins for prep, but oh well, so worth it! Not very sweet and perfectly pairs with the gelato.

Now coming to the service – sad to say, it was TERRIBLE! Servers were clueless. They were hardly around and you really had to wait if you needed something. A few instances:
- Ordered for a bottle of sparkling water and asked for some lemon. The lemon took 15 minutes, plus a reminder
- Had to wait another 10 minutes to get someones attention to place the food order
- Starters got served, and after another reminder we got our drink (pitcher of sangria)
- Asked for the bill. 15 minutes and 3 reminders later we got it. The 1st person we asked had actually forgotten about it
- When asked why is everything taking so long; response: smirk and then checks out his nails :|
- then noticed a wrong item punched into the bill, which took another few minutes to rectify (cause obviously they were first clueless)
- The person using the POS / Card machine actually struggles to operate it (seen it with another table), so be sure another few minutes are wasted there

Amongst all this – not an apology. Not once asked how was the food or if anything was needed.

However good the food might be, if you’re charges are high you got to be sure the entire experience is great. As for me, not going back anytime soon!
Mayank Rajani
The place is definitely not worth it. The food was of average to below average standard and the drinks were terrible. The staff were arrogant and rude when we complained about the quality and were definitely not open to any kind of feedback.
Karishma Sharma
I lovedddddd the place! The food is perfect for your asian cravings & their chilli soya sauce is simply wow! The tom yum soup is soooooo flavourful if u have a cold or cough bad enough that it wont leave u alone go here and have this soup! plus the owner is just so much fun to be around!
This place is a must visit when in goa ❤️

A journey for your taste buds....

I had the pleasure of being one of the first people to eat at Koi and boy was it amazing. Their menu is an entire journey from the start of the Silk Route to its end. Such variety of dishes that just tantalise your taste buds from the Miso Shiro to Oyakodon soups. Starters of assorted Dim Sum to Prawn Tempura with amazingly light batter that I have never tasted before in India. The Korean or Shaking Beef were both great but my favourite dishes had to be Teriyaki Salmon and Five Spice Roast Duck. They have a Tepan table to for those who want to Chef to cook for them and you feel like a splurge. The cocktails were fun with an Asian touch and went down far too quickly.... All in all a journey for your taste buds.

Koi Asian Dining, a remarkable place. Lively and welcoming atmosphere. Spectacular live music and friendly staff. Service and ambiance were wonderful. Really, really good food, each bite bursting with flavour. You can literally taste the love and care put into to making this food.
Highlights:
Dumplings: A scrumptious filling of prawn and chicken, delicately draped with soft, delicious wrapping.
Singapore Chilli crab: The perfect dish. Juicy and sweet, the sauce was spectacular. Fun to eat!
Vietnamese beef: Soft and tender. Perfectly cooked.
Truly amazing experience, totally worth trying. Lovely, entertaining music.
Definitely a must:)

I went to Koi few days back while I was on my trip to Goa. I had a very pleasant experience and the food was fabulous!

I loved the veg sushi platter and their in house ice-cream. I have tasted dumplings at many places, however here the veg crystal dumplings were very tasty. I and my husband are more desi Indian food lovers however, we thoroughly enjoyed the Asian cuisine at koi.

We both were mesmerised by the peaceful ambience of the place. The hotel owner Ms. Shefali was a wonderful host and made our visit worth it! She helped us choose the right dishes and ensured that we were well attended. There was light soothing live music being played in the background which made the atmosphere more vibrant!

Overall, I had a lovely experience and would recommend this place for all goa travellers :)
What a brilliant place! Mad food! Hogged on the small plates.. shit loads of drinks ... The hosts are fantastic. Shefali popularly known as shef is a spectacular person and immediately makes you feel as if you belong there! The live singer has soul in his voice and the ambience is just something to be experienced and cannot be described in words! ❤️

This was the first time I had authentic Japanese cuisine and it was very overwhelming for me! If you’re looking for all sorts of Asian food this is the place to go to. They make delightful sushi rolls and have a great spread of dishes and drinks, ambience is quite awesome and service is decent as well. 🥢🍱

Let me be honest. EVERYTHING THAT I WILL WRITE HERE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

Firstly, the restaurant. Its just beautiful. The decor is exquisite.
Second, the ambience. It was super. Soo nice and peaceful. Had live music and yet not loud that one cannot have a conversation.
Thirdly, the restroom. This is important for me. Most of us need to wash our hands before we eat right ! For once, went to a washroom and wasn't disgusted. ABSOLUTELY clean and not smelling !
Individual hand towels and not just cheap tissue paper for after one's done.
If they cared about hygiene, they actually meant it.
If the restroom was this clean, Im sure one could eat of the kitchen floor.

Now to the main part, Food !

ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY GREAT !
Everything and I mean everything was good.
1. Dimsums. They were just melting in my mouth. Cooked to perfection. Chicken and prawns.
2. Pork was absolutely great. Flavor, taste, plating.
3. Beef was cooked just right. Not every chef knows how to get it correct. Theirs did !

Must must go !
Great food and great service combined with a passion to please various palates. For fine Asian dining this is the place to be. Always a pleasure.

Aziz my man has always managed to amaze me. Food is his calling and that reflects in his taste for ambiance, decor and magnificently well presented cuisine.

He recommended Thai beef salad and pork ribs and for the main course he recommended Burmese khaosuey (in the pic) and wow is the only thing I can say.

It was a checkmate. Period. Just beautifully tasty food and me is a happy camper.

One of the best Pan Asian meals I have eaten!! The food is just top notch! I'm pretty sure anything you order will be delicious. The owner is really sweet and came by to greet us and make sure we are enjoying our meal. The icing on the cake is that he is a Bandra boy! All in all great place and a must visit as their food, ambience and management are all fantastic!!

Great Food ! Great Ambience and Great Hosts in Aseez and his Partner.

We were a bunch of 12 with kids looking for veg food and got to eat some very good pan Asian food. We tried crystal dumplings, sushi platter, Hakka Noodles, Fried Rice and Burmese KhowSuey.

All dishes were prepared to the T. Hats off to the Owners and Management in keeping the quality up there.

Definitely will come back again.
Good ambiance and good music. The portions leave you a bit hungry. Especially soup pots. It needs to be a pot for sharing. The stir fry wasn’t really stir fried. It was more like boiled and hot sauce. The flavours were good.

Craving for Asian food in Goa? Koi Asian Dining is the answer.

What we had:
We started off with Chicken Dumplings & Spinach/Corn Dumplings.

Yours Forever(Strawberry Champagne)
Maruhabaa Mimosa
Fingatini Bellini(Peach Schnapps & Chandon)
Rossini(Raspberry laced Champagne)
Each one of them were spot on.

They have very willing and friendly staff. Asian themed decor to go with the food. People visiting Goa should make it a must visit food destination. We definitely are visiting again.

Searching for Sushi we end up here. Once you enter this place you will get the feel of a Luxury Dine-in place. Beautiful Interior. They have 2 sitting areas. We preferred the outer sitting as it was little rainy and weather was cold so we wanted to enjoy the food there.
Order Koi Khowsuey and Asparagus Sushi roll, if I share my piece of sushi that means its bad. However you will fall in love with the presentation of Koi Khowsuey, and the taste and flavor are so perfect that you will want to have more but the quantity is good to fill you up.
Service 10/10
Friendly and well mannered staff.

Koi Asian Dining is repeatedly getting awards for its cuisine + the best cocktails award since last three years where you can spot the talented mixologist Azhar who is already a pro.Coming to the ambiance this place looks heaven, as u enter you will spot a huge shinning bar with striking lamps, the other section had a huge wallpaint of Buddha which looked spectacular, the golden lights with red chairs and stonecarved face of Buddha between the tables just looked wow.
There's a spl bollywood vintage night where you can see ppl enjoying those 60's and 70's bollywood hits sung live by a singer, people sply come for this night and its worth, but we missed it this time.
The outer section had a huge open space with some tables and garden plants.

Started off with old fashioned + a white wine sangria which was classy.

Smokin hot a chilli tofu-the presentation just killed it,tofu all over surrounded with chillies, the tofu tasted super soft, must say one of the best tofus in Goa.Highly recommended.

Chicken sui mai dumplings-the chicken stuffed was juicy and the outer texture of dumpling looked fresh, tastewise amazing.
+
Spinach and corn dumpling-in a rectangle shape was one of a kind,we had a spinach dumpling first time and trust me it had a crazy taste.Must try.

Veg khow suey -this burmese dish at koi is we would say is one of the usp.Fried onions ,fried potatoes, fried curry leaves ,peanuts ,rice, noodles, chilli flakes, spring onions ,lemon slice , chopped green chillies with thai ginger garlic noodle bowl was a fab treat, the taste was super authentic and i would highly recommend you'l it if you are in Goa.Must try.

Chicken nasi goreng was another great main course for meat lovers-the presentation nailed it, red rice placed in a circular manner with a fried egg garnished over it,the sauces used were apt and went well with the rice with veggies and chicken.

Desserts-
Chocolate fondue-a small lava kind of a dessert accompanied with thier inhouse mango icecream was a showstopper, as you cut the outer layer you'l see the melting chocolate coming out of it, it was super fresh and a must order thing here.Highly recommended.

Peanut butter mouse-never heard before,so we gave it a shot and this mouse was just magical, accompanied with their inhouse coffee icecream. This one was way better than any other chocolate mouse you get at most of the places, but the way this peanut butter was made it was worth.Hats off to the chefs here for getting perfection done for all the dishes.

A beautiful restaurant with a soothing ambiance. The food served is delicious. The owner Mr. Aziz serves the best quality food with an amazing service. Koi Asian has always been a wonderful experience with something new and delicious to try.

We have ordered Sushi and Teriyaki chicken with rice which were amazingly delicious. Mesu soup was bad as they have included part of mesu with made it unpleasant.

Place and climate were cool yet bit costly place.
Let's Talk About Food Only
This restaurant has won many awards and if you are fond of cocktails & mock-tails then this is the right place to hop in as this restaurant has also won the award for serving the best drinks and the man behind making you some breathtaking drinks is "Mr. Vijay".

The restaurant surely gives you a fine dine feel with their overwhelming service, ambiance and food. The service is pretty fast and friendly and if you are getting confused to order then 'Mr. Vishal' can clear out your confusion by suggesting some excellent dishes according to your taste.

Now lets talk about the dishes I had,
To start with I ordered a cocktail named "Alphonso"- this cocktail was absolutely fantastic you will only like it if you like the taste of champagne, it is a perfect blend of fruity flavor and the sparkling stars.

Then I ordered for "Smoking Dry Chili Chicken"- this is a must try starter and the best part is that it is not too spicy as it name says, it tasted incredibly delicious the outer layer was perfectly crisp and had a spicy flavor to it but the inner side was tender and juicy and wasn't spicy.

Then I ordered my favorite sushis, first one was "Volcano"- this dish consisted of tuna and shrimp and the other sushi that I ordered was "Spicy Roll"- this dish consisted of salmon.

Then I also had "Chicken & Prawns Dim sums"- I did not expect it to be good in taste at first because the blend of chicken and prawns doesn't go so well but after trying it I changed my opinion.

At last I ordered a drink and a dessert so for the drink I had "lemongrass Mojito"- it is an excellent drink and a perfect drink to energize your soul and for the dessert I had their signature "Chocolate Fondant with Coconut Ice-cream "- damn this was heaven, it tasted extremely good with the coconut ice-cream, this is surely a must try dessert.

Overall my experience was excellent at this restaurant with my friends and you all should surely visit this fine dine restaurant if you are in Goa.

When on Holiday, the one thing we always look forward to, are good restaurants where we can have a nice relaxed meal. Obviously, time is of constraint when we are in Mumbai, and Holidays are the time we want to be able to enjoy our meals.

Koi Asian, was without doubt the best restaurant we visited in this trip to Goa.

Located quite conviently in North Goa ( the more happening part of Goa), this place is fine dine in the true sense.

The place is beautiful, with an option to eat in the open. Of course, we visited Koi, during torrential rains, so indoors was the only option.

We always believe the best way to judge a Asian restaurant is by the Kimchi they serve. And we actually had to ask Koi was a second serving of their Kimchi. It was better than what most Mumbai restaurants serve. Off to a good start!!

We started our meal with the two Japanese soups on the menu. It was our first time trying the Miso Shiro, a traditional Japanese soup with Tofu. Miso, being fermented is also great for the guts. The other soup was the Japanese Udon Noodle Soup. Loved both of them. They were delicious.

From the small plates ( Appetizers) that we had, highly recommend the Crackling Spinach and the Pepper Mushrooms. The Crackling spinach, though slightly oily, was light as feather and disappeared off our plates in no time.

Next up had to be Sushis. We are absolute sushi lovers. We ordered the Veg Tempura Rolls and the Veg Asparagus Rolls. Perfect. That's all we can say. The sushi, the wasabi and the gari ( pickled ginger) were absolutely delightful. Even though both were delicious, if we had to.choose one over the other, it would have to be the Veg Tempura Rolls. We always like the crunchiness it brings to the shushi rolls.

Next were their Shitake Dumplings, which were again very good.

Nearly stuffed, we ended with with the Veg Red Thai Curry. Loved this too.

In desserts we recommend one must have the Chocolate Fondant cake served with Coconut ice cream. It was the perfect ending to our meal.

For any Asian food lover, visiting Goa, this is a must visit place!!

I have never been crazy about sushi, but this place is a must try. I enjoyed the shaking beef here as well as the smoking dry chillie chicken that literally had chillies over it.
Ambience - 5/5
Food - 5/5
Service - 4/5
Price - 4/5

Just as the enchanted koi swim across the many waters of Asia, Koi Asian Dining endeavor to create a culinary interpretation of the incredible journey along the ancient silk route, bringing to their tables a cornucopia of the myriad and fascinating flavours of Asia and the Far East.” Special thanks to Jacky for taking such incredible care of us.

Coming to Food and Beverages-
Baby Bellini-
Peach puree, lemon juice, apple juice and soda blend together!! A perfect drink to begin with.

Maruhaba Mimosa-
Fresh orange juice and cinnamon infused grand marnier finished with Chandon. The hint of cinnamon to this cocktail was a complete steal. Super refreshing and highly recommended.

Cocoberry-
Raspberry, coconut cream and pineapple juice perfectly infused together to make this gorgeous mocktail. Highly recommended to all our readers.

Crystal Dumpling-
Mix vegetable dumpling prepared to perfection. The filing had a simple and subtle taste.

Shiitake Mushroom-
This dimsum is recommended for all the mushroom lovers. Chopped mushrooms steamed to perfection.

Veg Shiitake California Roll-
Shiitake, cream cheese, cucumber & avacado rolled together to form this master piece. Definately worth every penny!

Veg Tempura Roll-
Panko crusted vegetables deep fried and rolled. It was served with a glaze of soy sauce and chunck of wasabi.

Veg Pumkin Roll-
Pumpkin, asparagus & wasabi
steamed togther and chopped. Taste was good.

Veg Asparagus Roll-
Asparagus, avocado, cream cheese & wasabi rolled to perfection!! It definately was a highlight of our lunch!!

Honey Chilli Lotus Stem-
Thin sliced lotus steams fried until crispy and then tossed in honey chilli sauce. Loved it!! Must try at Koi!

Walnut Brownie served with Coffee Gelato-
You must must must try this warm and gooey chocolate walnut brownie! It will literally melt in your mouth. Cant get enough of it.

Chocolate Fondant with Tender Coconut Gelato-
Yet another mind bowing dessert at Koi. It was served hot and the lava looked so satisfying! Do give it a try!!

Loved the place. Good food and good ambiance. Most recommend is the sushi. Also loved their desserts and mocktails.

The place has won a few awards for nightlife

Pathetic service!!
The restaurant service is deplorable. The staff is in rush not to serve but to clear plates. While we are still eating, the staff starts to clear plate and cutlery for one adult who has finished his dinner. While customers ought to have table manners, staff needs a complete overhaul. All this is happening when restaurant is not even half filled to capacity.
No one is responsible at this outlet. Manager, where you on shift!!
Akbar Badri
Probably the best ambience amongst the Goa restaurants we visited, exceptional service and flavourful food. The hot and sour soup, schezwan vegetables and burnt garlic fried rice ended up being personal favourites! The price point is a tad higher vis a vis other restaurants in the vicinity but it's definitely worth it.

Came across this place while looking for restaurants to eat at in Goa (apart from the regular ones that we visit). Brilliant food - tried the Smoking Dry Chilli Chicken on a bed of red chillies, Honey Chilli Potatoes, Spicy Ramen Chicken Soup and Walnut Brown (literally melts in your mouth). Apart from the food a shout out for the service provided. Brilliant customer experience. A definite must visit.

Koi Asian Dining - is a wonderful restaurant which offers Thai, Vietnamese and other Asian cuisine. The restaurant is in Calangute and easy to locate which is centrally located

The ambiance of the restaurant is spell bound, it has outdoor seating arrangement and nice furniture which is cozy and comfortable

Food order - Egg fried rice, sweet & sour chicken and brownie. The egg fried rice with the chicken gravy was a delicious combination. The chicken was very well cooked and it had nice flavor

Brownie with small portion of ice cream was a great way to round off the dinner. We had mocktails - one a lemon flavored another with rasberry and peaches

Great food, pleasant ambiance and wonderful service summarize the Koi Asian Dinning

If you have a certain dish in mind that’s not out of their dining genre, request for it and they’ll be polite enough to get it made for you. Nicely, on that.
7. Oh, the bathrooms here. B E A U T.
8. Overall experience is just the right amount of perfect.

(Just a little feedback. The food quantity can be a tad bit more. Just a tad bit. What you should not miss: Red Wine Strawberry Sangria, Sushi, Khowsuey and Spicy Basil Rice. And their in-house sauces and Kimchi.

Read the full review below:
Koi is an Asian restaurant in Calangute region of Goa.

What Mumbai Eats
If you want the best Asian dining cuisine then Koi is just the right place for you in Goa.
The word Koi, comes from the Japanese name of fish nishikigoi which is kept for decorative purposes. It is a homophone for another word which means “affection” and “love”

Not only the ambiance will awestruck you but also the hospitality and the food.
Talking about the splendid ambiance, there are 3 sections at the place.
The first section is the flamboyant Bar area arranged amazingly with alcohol and Buddha in the middle. The bar stools and the overall bar area is eye catchy. The next section has a wall full of paintings of different koi and other paintings framed and placed on walls. There is a huge Buddha painting surrounded by koi fishes which symbolises love and peace around the world.

The outside section i loved the most. Comprises of comfortable elegant seating and is decorated with Sheesha pots with coloured lightning inside. There is a separate area for the chef to cook or make some dishes outside in front of the people specially during certain events or occasions here.

➡️Coming to the delicious food and amazing drinks we had here:

I must say, the cocktails here are definitely one of the best.
🍸Wasabi Bloody Mary:
Wasabi is what we try in sushi and other Asian dishes, but having it in drinks is one of a kind. It’s spicy and just perfect to delight your taste buds

🍸Koi Watermelon Martini:
This is like the best seller here which is decorated with a semicircle shaped cut watermelon on the wine shaped glass. It tastes too good.

🍸Cosmic Champagne:
Enjoyed this flavoured champagne.
They have good amount of varieties in cocktails, sangrias, and champagnes.

▪️Sushi Lover:
As this place is best known for Asian Dining, we had the best sushi plate like the ones which is served over the globe.
It consisted of 3 uramaki rolls ( veg tempura/ non-veg rainbow and Fc Goa) along with 1 salmon shashimi.
If you are a true sushi lover, you would definitely want to try this one.

▪️Vietnamese Pho:
Very few places serve good Pho and this place is one of them. Lip smacking chicken noodle soup served with other ingredients to put inside the soup.

▪️Thai corn fritters:
This one was my favourite, Made of corn, it is crispy and so tasty

▪️Veg. Pad Thai:
Pad Thai is the flat Thai noodles and a delicious main course.

🔸For dessert, we had Creme Brûlée and Belgian Chocolate fondant.
Both were good, but my favourite is the Belgian chocolate fondant which had a chocolate layer and if you break it, belgian chocolate oozes from inside. Cannot resist this one.

Our overall experience here was amazing, and we were truly amazed by the food, ambiance and hospitality here. The staff is very polite and the owners are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place for a great Asian Dining experience when in Goa.

🔷What Mumbai Eats rating:
🔘Food: 5/5
🔘Drinks: 5/5
🔘Service: 5/5
🔘Ambiance: 5/5

Amazing food. Lovely Ambience. Pathetic service. The Japanese Udan Soup was awesome. Enjoyed it. The Nasi Goreng was ok. But the service was really really pathetic.

Visited this super restaurant on 30/12

We ordered Corona beer and Fingatini Bellini Champagne cocktails for drinks. The peachy flavor cocktail was LIT.

For dinner just gorged on starters as we went there after a late lunch.

Had Crispy Duck rolls, Vietnamese Spring rolls with Prawns and Shrimp Tempura roll.

Loved the taste, presentation and the freshness of the food. Service was a bit slow. Overall had an memorable time and will be visiting soon once I visit GOA again

Must go place if u want authentic Chinese food. Just 2.5 Kms from Baga beach. Non veg options are a plenty.cant comment on the taste of that though.but veg options were quite mouth watering.

Just love this place. Always is my first stop whenever we travel to Goa. The Pina Colada is great. The service is par excellence with every member of the team ready to please you with a smile. Food is something your soul will always crave.

Loved the experience ! The cocktails were great and the sushi and the asian food were awesome . Stuck to small plates and wasn't disappointed . Didn't have the main course ! Will try that next time
Frank Gueizelar
Good ambience and vibe. Food took a while and came in intervals. For the value of meals, I would expect everything done to the tee. Taste and presentation was nice too. Quantity is very good. FYI, be it lunch or dinner or at any given point of time, keep the standard consistent. Food can be great but its the whole experience that counts.

Sushi was out of the world!
Belgian Chocolate Fondant is out of the world. A definite visit if you're in Goa.
Ambience is very peaceful and music is very nice.

It’s long I wanted to write review . It was September 2017 I wanted to go to off beat cuisine. My son then suggested this place .

Although there wasn’t ample parking , we managed in heavy rains . First look 👀 it was a catchy entrance lobby & was grand .

Personal service & owner taking care of my Vodka cocktails 🍸 was outstanding.

The ambience was fabulous. Although open veranda seating was not impressive but rains made it workable.

Overall the food was different but less impressive to me . But different sauces made much difference with other restaurant I tried before .

The owner taking interest & complying with finer detailing of dining impressed me a lot .
See you soon

Short version: The best food and service I have recieved anywhere in Goa.

Long version: we arrived at Koi with our kids who had fallen asleep. The owner was a very nice lady. She immediately arranged for two mini sofas to be put adjacent to our tables for them to sleep and covered them with makeshift blankets.
We ordered food and drinks. The dim sums were heavenly and phad thai noodles were pretty awesome. The drink selection was very good and the owner also guided us for the wine and cocktails.

There was a lovely live music singer and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Restaurants often ignore or have shitty & dirty bathrooms. Thankfully, a very good & clean bathroom was also here.

Even though the restaurant was full, the owner was very active and went to each table in turn. When one of us spoke about my wife's birthday off-hand, she immediately organised a celebration.

A very memorable experience overall.

One of the best Asian food you can ever experience in the North.. Love the cocktails selection and the ambience. The team is well headed by a Brilliant Manager (Azhar).. Had a very good dining experience and would recommend this place to one and all...

Lovely service to go along with great food. An overall unique experience with Goan, Thai and Japanese influence that is hard to find anywhere else in the world. The variety of dishes had me sold before I reached the restaurant, and their combination of authentic flavour with various local tastes and nuances, like their variety of alcohol concoctions and their Sheesha, makes the Koi experience worthwhile.
Sanjeev Daga
One of the best fine dining places in Goa for Asian cuisine and the ambience is perfect to take your date along. The service is good and the food is really tasty and the wine deals are brilliant.
Shilpa Vora
Lovely ambience! Plenty of choices for vegetarians as well! Had some asparagus sushi, spicy ramen noodle soup, pad Thai, coriander chilli garlic veggies.... extremely very presented and very flavourful! Would highly recommend this place!

Tucked in very close to Tio Tilly's, very nice ambience, and a good range of sushi rolls and sashimi at very reasonable price. Hookah available too.

I think I have found a match for Royal China, Mumbai and China Kitchen, Delhi. The best duck preparation in India, atleast amongst the top three. Cosy and ambient place. Not to mention the cracker Bombay Martinis.
Upasana
This place was very close to where we were staying so we thought let's try it! The facade is inviting, they've got both indoor and outdoor seating, they even had live music which was nice!

However the food choices for a vegetarian were slightly limited to the not so exotic options. The food was pretty average and maybe not worth the price and the hype.

Super food! Zen decor. Most importantly wonderful hosts. Definitely a permanent addition to the Goa weekend list............................

Amazing ambiance with some super yummy food... super selective menu... raised the bar way higher with the salmon teriyaki 😍 and best ever sangrias 🍷🍷🍷 absolutely loved it 😍
If ur in Goa u need to dine here once atleast !!

The overall experience was not that great! We were first timers and came for lunch at 3 pm in August 16 th week. Visited Koi dining today was not very happy with the parking, service and food. The staff was insistent on pushing us towards the side parking where it could have hit other cars.
The food we ordered was chicken and prawns starters and for this price it was very average food. The chicken was round balls and red chilly spices all thrown around- interesting way of serving less chicken with full plate of spicy full red chilies. The prawns were also average with too much garlic and chilies again- looks like same kind of spices are being added to every dish. There were no special condiments to any dish. The noodles that we ordered was made of some weird oil- I believe the dhaba can do better job of making roadside noodles .

The most annoying thing was when all the servers are staring at you when you are dining. I don't think this place has trained staff at all.

Very overpriced for the quality of food - have had much better food in lesser price at a much pleasant place.

It was just very late after work that we went street exploring and landed to this subtle yet exquisite fine dining. The moment you enter the restaurant, there's this positive stroke that hits you and you feel relaxed and nice about your decision to be here.... it was exactly what we felt. The owners are extremely sweet and hospitable. They ensure the best service on the table till you feel satieted both gastronomically and mentally. To add up to the delight, it is live music and jamming that leaves you contended with your authentic Goan experience. We ordered their cocktails that were finely mixed and well served on our table. Their koi khoysuey is something not to be missed .....

Even if u are one of the last people walking in .... The team will ensure ; you're best taken care of.

I'd only like to thank them for making our candid experience worth and most lively.
Looking forward to be here again and everytime were in Goa 😃
What a fabulous place this is. We were a group of 40 people from bombay and the host Aziz and Shefali were just awesome. They kept the place open way beyond the shut off time and also called for a singer for us who was fantastic and kept the party going for us. Loved all the food that was served to us especially the pan fried Noddles.
Great job guys hope to see you again too.
Laphanga tee guy.

What a delightful evening with live music, great ambience and just amazing food. The fried rice and veg manchurian with secret sauces was authentic and superb. Live retro music at its best. Attentive service and soothing ambience. Perfect Night!

Koi has an amazing ambience and the is marvellous. We tried four types of sushi-volcano, shrimp tempura, California cream cheese roll and salmon and avocado. All four were distinctively different and absolutely brilliant. The hosts were warm and welcoming and made sure we were having a good time. They had absolutely perfect live music also playing. Basically the vibe was perfect.
It was my birthday and I was surprised with a caramel pudding. :D really happy we visited Koi !
