The food was great. The soups were the highlight of day. Must try for people with cravings for Chinese food. The plaza in which the restaurant is located may be a bit old and unclean. But the inside of the restaurant is a whole different world.
As visitors in Chennai, looked up for Chinese restaurants around Egmore location and found this interesting place. The Egmore location is located inside a complex which may look scary from outside after 9.00 p.m. not sure about their other locations. But still, we went into experience some fine Vegetarian Chinese/ Thai and Vietnamese food. The ambiance was cozy and the lights were dim.
We ordered for Broccoli Pistachio Soup, it was mind-blowing, the taste lingered for quite a long time. We then ordered Thai curry Malaysian Noodles and it tasted yumm too. Their quantity of food is good. So go slow and order at your pace.
We absolutely enjoyed the food and look forward to visiting again while we are in Chennai.
Thank you for a wonderful vegetarian menu and keep up the good job!!!
Went to this place for dinner..located in prince plaza..Ambiance is good. We ordered tomato garlic soup, taste was too good. And for starters we ordered dragon chilli baby corn. It was crispy, moderately spicy and quantity was also good. Easily can be shared by 3 people.
Thai Yellow curry was okay filled with lots of vegetables.. Its was watery could have been more thicker.
Finally for dessert ordered ice ketchang.. .its an ice cream filled with fruits n ice..definitely should be tried atleast once...
Overall It is a very good Chinese restaurant which is pure veg. Value for money and quantity is too good.
Flower Drum - An after shopping treat! After a long day of shopping for my friend's wedding, we ended up dining here.
At first, we didn't know that this place was veg :(. Since we were so hungry and tired we decided to eat here. The ambience was pleasant, seating was comfortable and just felt the lighting could have been slightly brighter.
The food we ordered:
Cheese corn spinach momos
Sweet corn Soup
Steam rice with paneer curry
The food was yum. The steamed momos and the paneer did the magic.
I enjoyed the food here. Food images are half-eaten.
The service was a bit slow.
Pure veg Chinese restaurant! Can u believe it? PURE VEG! 😍😋 Planning to visit here? Well... Execute the plan ASAP! 😍 Must try: *Soups* Manchow Soup 🍲 *Starters* Corn Cornets 🌽 Honey chilli potato Cottage cheese *Main course* Dragon Noodles 🍜 Schezwan fried rice 🍚 *Desserts* Ice-katchang 🍨 Caution: The quantity served is good guys... Kindly don't order extra and waste food. Ambiance 💯 Food 💯💯 Service💯
Our order:
Corn Cornet: quick light snack
Vegetable DimSum: 10 pieces steamed veggies filling with cottage cheese. The chutney is not too spicy so it’s a winner!
Sichuan Rice: great portion to be shared between 3-4 people. Spicy but a must try.
Kimchi: can be classified as veg pakodas but not in besan batter. Found them to be oily other than that good snack. It wasn’t spicy.
Dim light ambience with south Asian food menu makes it a great family dining place or even for friends get together.
Theyagarajan Shanmugam
+5
Nice place for Chinese food. Food is very much stomach friendly and portions are slightly generous. Better to take care while ordering. Sizzlers taste are excellent
If you're a vegetarian it would be really hard to find a good quality, fine dining Chinese or Thai food restaurants...!!! Flower drum is the best place for all the veggies out there...

Soon after I entered in...I felt the ambience is what makes this restaurant stand out...the aesthetic of each and every details of the place from the menu card to the round table seatings, I find everything so warm and pleasing...!!! It is absolutely an experience...❤️❤️❤️

Experience the best Chinese food here
Every dine in experience is worth it
Budget friendly and staffs are friendly too
Ambience is really amazing
This is a go to place for all vegetarian Chinese lovers. I had manchow soup- it was nice and hot. Served with fried noodles.
Fried baby cord- my favorite. They make it best.
Manchurian balls(dry)- Tender and flavorful appetizer.
schezwan fried rice- It was spiced really well. had different veggies and rice was cooked just perfect.
All the dishes have sufficient quantity for 3 to 4. I was with a group of 5 and the food was sufficient.
The service may get slow during weekends and please do reserve your tables before going.
Food was amazing and authentic !! Loved the lotus flower dish (went mainly for that only :P) Soups were also good and quantity was abundant too! The place was quite big and the only issue was the people who were around us making quite an huge amount of noise and was running the ambience :/
Also the place looks really fishy from outside bcos of poorly maintained building, but the restaurant was maintained clean and tidy. So don’t worry 😅
Went back after a very long time. Quality is just as good. A peaceful weekday lunch
Food is Indo Chinese. But the taste here is so good. Anytime we go, it is full capacity. Taste is been consistent. Quantity of food is also good. Recently they’ve introduced thai food too.
Food ambience cleanliness and service are all good.
Can visit frequently.
Family and friends friendly.
Been there a couple of times with friends and family. Everyone liked the food.
Loved the honey chilli potatoes, noodles, soup.
Quantity is a lot 💯 so anyordered dish can be shared and fill you up.
The atmosphere is on the darker side but I dig it because you don't get to see a lot of pure-veg Chinese restaurants, glad I came across this restaurant while living in Chennai.
This is a place where you can find thai and Chinese food and the best part is this place is completely vegetarian so people who are fond of vegetarian restaurant can definitely check this out. Let's get to the food, flowerdrum has a good ambience with comfortable seating across the restaurant. This is a good place to hangout with friends and family. The quantity and quality of the food is worth the penny you pay and also please expect the quantity of food to be on the higher end as they provide a pretty good of then. They don't accept reservations on Saturday and Sunday as the restaurant will be fully packed so they provide on first come first serve basis. Overall you'll find a quality time.
I tried out paneer kimchi, wonton wrapped paneer and crispy fired baby corn and sweet corn soup. Only thing I was concerned was the baby corn which was too oily apart from that the food was great.
Best place for vegetarian Chinese food in Chennai. The service and quantity is very good. Even they serve jain almost all items which is very rare to see. Highly recommended this place for all Chinese food lovers

Fried baby cord- my favorite. They make it best.

Quantity n quality of food are good. Staffs are polite n friendly. Can try variety of Chinese food. Would definetely recommed
Starters where very yummy, only thing us that there should be half plate options too,the quantity which they provide in one plate is very more which can't be finished by one or 2 person.
