Dropped in for their onam sadya. Every single dish was cooked to perfection. The payasam was heavenly. A little pricey though. It was very clean as well so hopefully I don't catch anything :)

We accidentally landed to Savya Rasa, instead of going to Soy Soi!

From the entry point, we were amazed at the courteous welcome. Still wondering why everyone were wearing Saree and Dhothi in a Korean/Pan-Asian restaurant.

We were placed at a beautifully decorated table, with plantain leaves! Still, it did not hit our mind that "we at the wrong place"!

When we received the Menu book... it struck us hard.

Since we liked the ambiance and staff, we stayed to experience what life had to offer!

We had Non-Veg Thali! It was DELICIOUS. One of the BEST!

I love authentic south indian food since my trip to kerala and i found out about savya rasa from Facebook.

I had Pudalakkaya perugu pachadi. This pachadi made of snake gourd and yoghurt tempered with mustard and red chillies.

It's really amazing.

Appam, Malabar Parrotta, pappadam is must with all the dishes.

In starters I had Ulli vadai. Anjal Rava fry. All are lip-smacking.
Now move to main course I had vellai Kurma, Korai Gassi.
Simply worth going to this amazing place.

Been wanting to go here for the longest time and finally had the chance to visit for their Millet food festival. If you are looking out for having tasty but healthy food, this is a must place to try!
Located in the same building as Soy Soi, they've outdone the ambience. They bring us the four different south Indian cuisines and so the interiors are very traditional and aesthetically done. With warm lights and comfortable seating, you'll have a wonderful dining experience here.
What we tried,
Drinks - Nannari sharbath, was a bit too sweet for my taste but they immediately changed it when I suggested.
Tender coconut with honey, with chunks of coconut, tasted very refreshing.
Starters - Yeral varuval, big prawns fried with golden crumbs. It was very delicious.
Kurumilagu karuveppilai meen, this was vanjaram fry with curry leaves. Though the taste was good it had the raw fish smell.
Mains - Saamai chicken biryani, made with millet rice was good. I felt the taste to be enhanced when had with the chicken kozhambu.
Naatu kozhi kolambu, this was outstanding. A must-try dish. It was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked to perfection.
Kambu dosa, with chopped onions and peppers and served with three different types of chutney. Another delicacy, but could have been crispy as i like my dosas that way.
Raagi roti, a thick roti made with ragi, didn't expect this will taste so good. Another must-try. and was super filling.
Dessert - Paruthi paal halwa, drenched with ghee and made with all-natural ingredients, stole the show. If you're a sweet tooth person, blindly order this one.

Their service was really good. They patiently attended to all our needs and got our feedback on everything.
Their pricing was a bit on the higher side, but worth the quality and quantity provided.

Went here for their Millet food festival and really enjoyed a sumptuous healthy meal for dinner. They served us with a basket of fryums and for refreshments gave us nannari sharbath and tender coconut with honey. The sharbath was a bit sweet for us but the tender coconut was quite good. For soup, we ordered mutton NENJUELAMBU soup. This was outstanding. So good. Spicy and soothing. For starters, we got, KURUMILAGU KARUVEPPILAI MEEN. This was seer fish. Favor was good but the fish smell was overwhelming. YERAL varuval, must try. Tasted really really good.For.mains, we had chicken millet biryani. Was different but a bit bland for our taste.Naatu KOZHI kolambu, another must try. Spicy and so yum. Anything we had along with this curry was a hit.KAMBU Dosa, with onions and pepper tasted good. Came along with three chutneys.Rafi roti, another one I was really impressed with. Not a fan of ragi but this tasted yum. And filling. Finished it off with PARUTHI PAAL halwa. Was floating with ghee and less sweet cause they don't any processed food in this. Another must try.Service was impeccable. Pricing is a bit high.Bon appetite :)

One should not go to savya Rasa with friends and family because they distract you from the food. Take my word, just get there for a lunch or dinner ALONE and experience the near perfect flavours of South Indian cuisine. The menu is curated on Mangalore, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra dishes. Though I have seen a lot of such menus, savya Rasa's was surely a memorable one.

We got a complimentary drink which was warm to touch but completely took us by surprise. It was tangy and tasty. For starters we had beef ularthiyathu and chicken Mangalore style - both were lipsmacking and had the right amount of spices and masalas. The bun parottas were addictive...next time I'm only going to order that one. The gravy and mutton biriyani was flavourful and tasty. We ended the meal with elaneer payasam but I thought the coconut pieces were a bit too hard. The black bean halwa wasntasty but too small for the price charged.

That brings me to the cost of the meal. I think the portion size could be increased for a better dining experience. And the presentation of the food could be better. But the service was superlative and personal. We were very happy with our meal. 5/5 for taste of food and service. 4/5 for value for money.

Lovely place for authentic South Indian food and experience. The interiors are cozy, the waiters are just outstanding in their service and zeal to serve customers in the most respectable way, and the food is just out of the world. I specifically enjoyed the prawns, the chicken soup, the the kavuni rice halwa and elineer( tender coconut) pudding

We hadn't gone here for a long time because we thought it's just a South Indian restaurant, we're south indian. How different can it be? We were pleasently surprised. Right from the outset, it had a very authentic look. All the chairs and the tables reminded me of an ancestral homes that I've been to. The Smell was also very traditional, like your grandparents setting off an incense early morning. The waiters are dressed in Sarees and Dhotis and white shirts which just adds to the look. The Service was also prompt. We wanted to change tables and they did it fast. We never had to wait more than a few seconds when we wanted something. The Food was amazing. Their Coin Parotta with Chicken curry is a must try for starters. It's bite sized and disappears super fast. We also tried one of their coconut based chicken curries and bun parotta. Their bun parottas are soft and fluffy. Definitely recommend. While I initially thought their prices were a little on the higher side, the portion sizes for mains convinced me otherwise. The curry could serve like 4 people easily. We also got their prawn biriyani and we could hardly make a dent ( 2 people). Their Elaneer Payasam was the only thing I was not a fan of. It tasted a little too much like only Elaneer. Their Ambalapuzha Pal Payasam, on the other hand, was amazing. This is a great place to take a family with old people who are not too experimental with theirs foods. We went here a second time for my birthday with family. They have two rooms, one for 6 and another for 8 people. Our waiter for the day, Rueben, took really good care of us. He was attentive the whole time and shared portions correctly, filled our glasses up when we needed them and so on. We would recommend almost everything there. It's very homestlye, you don't feel like it's from a restaurant. The two standouts were prawn ghee roast and sainu thaatha's chicken kebab. Both of which are a must try. One of the waiters there also gave us their umbrella for us to move to our cabs. Amazing experience. We will come back again.

My recent visit to Savya Rasa in Chennai was truly delightful. The restaurant offers authentic South Indian cuisine, and what made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from Praveen and his team. They ensured a memorable dining experience with great recommendations and attentive service. If you're in Chennai and craving both exceptional service and South Indian flavors, Savya Rasa is the place to go

A place with great and fast service, good ambience and food. One must try kondu vegetable biryani, poraichi paratha paneer ghee roast tasted extremely delicious but some other items like kappa cutlet with idichammanti, neer dosa, idiyapam idli, needs some improvement. The coriander based brinjal curry that is vankaya kothmir koora and godhi roti needs a lot of improvement. It was the biryani and their quick service that just saved our dining experience and is therefore given 4 stars.

Right from the grand entrance with the hand made athangudi tiles and the carefully curated artefacts, Savya Rasa is a brand that is deeply entrenched in South Indian cuisine and culture. With recipes and dishes collected and nurtured through many renditions, this brand brings the best versions to the table. The recent Chettiar Table : Chettinad Food Festival was a continuation of their commitment and love for the cuisine! Try everything that appeals to you, read the descriptions and allow the ingredients and combinations to tempt you.
